Our stay at the Hilton Amsterdam was a fantastic experience. Super-friendly and helpful staff made the experience a joy. Hotel interior is luxurious, as well as our room (canal-facing). Location is nice area, a little outside the centre - so you can either get a tram from the stop just outside or enjoy a pleasant 20 min stroll with a coffee :) All in all, we would definitely return here if we returned to Amsterdam!

Exceptional service on a recent visit. Comfortable, clean room; friendly, helpful welcoming staff in all areas and good quality food and beverages. All of this during the pandemic restrictions.

Business trip stop through: 1-night/2-day. A lovely staff welcomed me, provided a detailed outline of the hotel guidelines and restaurants. At this time, the Hilton members lounge is moved for health/space measures— the ground floor dining is absolutely fabulous and the staff is quite attentive. I’m very pleased to select this hotel. Most importantly for business— black out curtains are top notch, and business center is small although a pleasant and quite spot to work. Thank you!

Impromptu weekend trip to Amsterdam, booked family suite (connecting rooms) short notice without issues. Arrived an hour early, room wasn’t ready, but the staff was very accommodating. They stored our bags while we went out exploring, and upon our return had our keys and bags waiting for us. Great welcome gift in the room waiting for us, always appreciate our Hilton Honors status being acknowledged. Highly recommend!!

This is a stylish hotel with clean, good rooms, nice food and very helpful staff. The twin room was big with a nice view and in the bathroom Crabtree & Evelyn amenities were provided. The beds were excellent. Breakfast was generous and very good. Due to lock-down we dined in the room. You can reach the hotel by train; its an 8 minute ride from Schiphol, and if you travel light you can enjoy the relaxing 15 min walk from Amsterdam Zuid station to the hotel through a civilized residential area. The location is only a 15 min walk from the museum square, and a nice local shopping area is located 5 mins by foot behind the Hilton. The hotel has a great terrace, and a garden with a small marina in the canal. A really splendid hotel, where my husband also stays, when he visits Amsterdam. Photo shows view from the hotel.

The best of this hotel is the breakfast area, their services is excellent, from the beginning we enter the area till we leave, is the best!! Kudos for the breakfast team!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I love their sweet potatoes baked 😍😍😍 The room is so so, good enough for sleeping and very clean. I love the views from our room. The executive lounge give abandoned feeling for me, have no one there, the drinks and snacks very limited selection and quantity, some of the drinks is empty. The location quite far from the central (take us 40 euro with taxi), but if you looking for something quite and peaceful place, this hotel will win your heart.

Great staff. They do everything they can to help, and they always have a great attitude. Edgar from the Executive Lounge was fun to chat with every evening. I think you won't be disappointed here. Beautiful location. I've had better Hilton breakfasts, but this one was still very good and substantial. The staff there were helpful as well. The one thing big negative was that the King room didn't have any kind of substantial desk or table. So, working or eating in-room here was difficult.

I stayed twice in this hotel in a span of 3 months. I arrived early from the airport and my room wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait which is ok, however both times my room wasn’t ready long past official check in time. I ended up waiting 5+ hours. I tried checking in my luggage to storage to go for a meeting but concierge wasn’t there, had to leave the hotel with my suitcase. I really expected more from a 5 start hotel which charges the rate they do.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the hotel staff, who were always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

It's been challenging to find the right words to capture the exceptional service we received at the Hilton Amsterdam. From the moment we stepped through the doors until our departure, we were treated like royalty. As Diamond members, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, who graciously upgraded us to a suite before our arrival. Arriving at 11 am after an exhausting 11-hour flight from Houston, we were relieved to learn that early check-in was not only possible but encouraged. The staff even directed us to the executive lounge for refreshments, and informed us about the $100 credit available to us as American Express guests, usable anywhere in the hotel. Our quest for an extensive tour of Amsterdam led us to Niko, the exceptional concierge. His expertise was immediately apparent as he effortlessly suggested several tour options tailored to our preferences. Within moments, our bookings were made, and tickets printed—all while Niko seamlessly arranged our public transportation passes for hassle-free travel during our stay. Niko's wealth of knowledge extended beyond tourist attractions; he possessed a deep understanding of the local area, the hotel amenities, and anticipated our needs before we even articulated them. His dedication to ensuring our experience was nothing short of exceptional was evident in every interaction. Despite our thorough exploration of the hotel's offerings, one mystery remained unsolved—the enchanting scent that permeated the lobby and public areas. Despite our inquiries with the front desk and Niko himself, its identity remained elusive. We're eager to recreate this unforgettable aroma at home and would appreciate any assistance in identifying and obtaining it. Our loyalty to the Hilton brand has taken us across the globe, but our stay at the Hilton Amsterdam stands as the pinnacle of hospitality. The level of service we experienced surpassed anything we've encountered before. It's clear that the Hilton Amsterdam sets the standard for excellence, thanks to the impeccable training and management techniques evident throughout the hotel. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Niko for his invaluable assistance and unwavering commitment to ensuring our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Please convey our sincerest thanks to him, and rest assured, we'll carry the memories of our unforgettable experience at the Hilton Amsterdam with us wherever we go. Wayne Heintze Houston, Texas

Great sized rooms , good powerful shower comfortable bed- mine had a lovely canal outlook. It’s a fair distance to walk into the centre of town but the transport links into town and to the airport are excellent . Good spread for breakfast and a nice easy checkin/ out. Top marks!

It was a real pleasure for me staying at the Hilton Amsterdam. The Check-In was so friendly and I was valued as an Honors Member. The room was beautiful and equipped with everything you need. Comfortable bed, enough pillows, sofa, Minibar, Safe, a spacy bathroom with real good products and Last but not least a wonderful view of Amsterdam! The breakfast was a big buffet with fine foods for all tastes and I really enjoyed the very warm welcome at the receptionist the restaurant. That I got a late check out made it perfect at last. Thank you to the team there. Always good to come back to a Hilton - especially to the one in Amsterdam!

The canal view was such a highlight of the trip. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had the greatest French toast and nice buffet style selection. The area was great, very quiet but super safe. The building doesn’t look great from the outside but inside it’s so lovely. Great for kids, great for adults also.

The Hilton is a nice hotel outside the city center. We stayed here for a conference recently. The hotel is situated right on the river in a tranquil location in a charming neighborhood. The staff was helpful and friendly and overall we had a great stay. The rooms were nice - there could be some improvement with the shower as it was a little dated with the bathtub arrangement. Not sure if anyone takes a bath in a hotel room that is used by so many people but I understand that's how they were built some time ago. Might be time for an upgrade as this would greatly improve the bathroom. There was also no real desk to work at and being there for a business conference this was challenging. We did have a wonderful view of the river though and although the room was small (expected for Europe) the bed was very comfortable and the room met our general needs overall. Room service was a bit lacking in general but I heard that was a complaint of others as well as they may have been a bit understaffed like so many hotels are. We ordered food one night when we got home and it never came. Thankfully the staff removed it from our bill. A couple little improvements and this becomes a 5 star experience for us. If you are looking for a good option away from the general Amsterdam city/party scene the Hilton is a good option. It is definitely a cab ride to the city center or a fairly long walk if you are looking for the regular Amsterdam scene.

Our stay at the Hilton was nothing short of extraordinary! As Hilton Honors members, we were granted early check-in and a late checkout, ensuring a seamless experience. The upgrade to a junior suite overlooking the canal was a luxurious surprise. To top it off, they went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday with champagne, a delectable cake, and fresh flowers, creating unforgettable memories. Impeccable service and thoughtful gestures made our stay truly exceptional.

Whilst the staff are lovely, the hotel was not as good as I hoped. It was ridiculous to pay so much for parking. €55 for one night. The breakfast was good but with no price reduction for children. The rooms were fine but the bins had rubbish from the last guest which made me worry that the room was not cleaned. It was fine but we would not return because of the obscene parking charge that was unexpected.

So I had to spend a unplanned night in Amsterdam, as my Air France flight was cancelled at the last minute... I decided to stay at the Hilton Amsterdam (Apollolaan138), which turned out to be a bad idea to catch a good night's rest, as the balcony door of my upgraded room (Hilton Diamond) kept on opening by its own - aided by the strong wind (which was the reason for my flight's cancelation) during the night. As it was quite late already & I was extremely tired too, I did not notify the hotel right away (but I'm sure the problem with the door didn't just happen when I got the room), instead I woke up 4-5 times during that night, slamming (just trying to close it did not work) that dammed door shut again & again. The next morning, I was thanked to bringing my door problem to the staff's attention - nothing else... Cost of room for 1 night: EUR368, -. My recommendation: stay away (staff doesn't care).

Service: 10/10, very friendly and attentive staff, let me check in immediately at my arrival, it was before 10 am. (as a Diamond member) Room: modern and clean room with powerful shower, probably not light sleeper friendly, but I was totally fine. Location: about 15min walk into the center of town/museums and easy to access bus/Uber Breakfast: good spread for breakfast, very attentive service Lounge: limited selection of food and drinks Overall defiantly recommend to stay at here!

The experience at the Hilton hotel was one to remember. After check in we went to our room with a beautiful view over the center of Amsterdam. They even made the room beautiful because of my birthday. Balloons, fresh flowers, all was arranged. In the evening, we had a lovely dinner at Roberto’s restaurant in the Hilton hotel. If you enjoy tasteful and true Italian cuisine this is a place to go. After dinner we went to the lounge for a cocktail. The room was made to look like a country club men’s room. It was amazing with live music. The cocktails are very tasteful and colorful. The breakfast was a western/American breakfast. So heavy but very good to start your day roaming the city. Overall, a good hotel with service to match the quality you expect.

Exceptional customer service provided by Morgan! Upon learning that it was my partner's birthday, she discreetly delighted him with a birthday cake following our breakfast at the lounge. This surprise was separate from the birthday amenity the hotel had arranged upon our arrival. It truly reflects the hotel's 5-star hospitality spirit.

Overall experience was fine.i like the quietness of the area. Spacious room, clean, amazing breakfast. Service at the breakfast area and lounge is great. Reception needs improvement in explaining the transportation map and promoting attractions nearby though, especially to new travellers like myself in Amsterdam. And for the exec lounge- such a small space located at the 10F not worth paying extra- food and drink is ok, but could be better.

Dear Hilton, (Amsterdam) Thank you for my wonderful stay at the Hilton over the New Years break. The service was 5 star, the Hotel was 5 star. Everyone was very polite, and simply made my stay a wonderful time. I appreciate the attention to detail during my stay. One of the best Hilton experiences I have had in Europe, as I continue to be a Diamond member. The breakfast selection and quality, and the lounge areas were the icing on the cake for me. Many THANKS, the staff at this location should be proud of the service level they provide to guests.

Would highly recommend. The hotel is a bit aged but very well maintained. The staff was an 11 out of 10 stars! Every staff member we met was incredibly hospitable, very helpful and professional. The food and drink options are limited but when we ate there it was excellent. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job. The rooms are very quiet. Location-wise it is a nice walk to the art museums and ~45 min walk to the Anne Frank House - bit of a longer walk; strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Absolutely amazing experience at the Hilton Amsterdam. Definitely a luxury hotel with great service. We arrived very early from our flight (7am) and usually the rooms aren’t ready until 3/4pm, but they were able to prepare our room before noon! The room itself is very simple and clean. We loved how close it was to the park though I wouldn’t say the location is the selling point- you still need to bike or Uber to get most places. We were fine with that though! The breakfast was top notch. Easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Great coffee as well. Overall would highly recommend staying here.

My first experience here in it was fantastic. This stay was fun, relaxing, and a great time all around. Edgar, the executive lounge manager, goes beyond expectations to make us at home and welcomed. The rest of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Don't eat too much at their spectacular breakfast. So many options you will want to try everything. For my first trip to Europe I was surprised how at home I felt.

Had oversold rooms so could not get what we had booked. Did offer a solution that was an acceptable compromise. Guardian to the executive lounge was overly officious about granted access. Put off one of my party who didn't feel welcome in the lounge. Breakfast really good and restaurant staff were fantastic 🤩

Rooms were extremely clean, service was impeccable, Nelle on reception is amazing, she helped so much from directions to Dutch language questions!! The location of the hotel is well placed, not directly central so quieter streets, just a short walk to a tram stop (Emmastraat) and a 15-20min journey and you are at central station. A well recommended hotel, friendly staff and great location.

It’s a fantastic place to stay for an Amsterdam visit. Rooms are clean, spacious and the junior suite was fabulous. Shout out to the amazing staff at the property that made us feel at home. Lovely breakfast! Also ticks all the boxes for Diamond member benefits.

Beautiful hotel! Friendly & Helpful Staff! Concierge Zach was really helpful with making transport arrangements. Their restaurant Robertos is Top Notch! We enjoyed Executive Lounge as a Diamond member as well!

Not in the most convenient location but a lovely hotel. It’s in the southern region. It’s about 10 minute walks maybe five minute walks to get to some of the trams or the buses. They do rent nice bikes at the hotel. Great breakfast staff. There was some confusion at check-in about our diamond status. The woman checking us in said because we have two rooms only one of the rooms got free breakfast but the woman at breakfast that we both got free breakfast. I don’t know it was a bit confusing. Regardless. They have a lounge for diamond members. Nice rooms.

Fantastic experience. Stayed at SoHo House the first two nights, and honestly had such a better time at this hotel, for a fraction of the price. Could not recommend more. And it's the hotel John and Yoko stayed at!! Great area of the city too. Close, but not overrun like further in town.

Wonderful location in a nice area, no far from the center (just a 25 minutes walk to reach the Museum area). The building is charming and you can drink and eat in front of a nice channel. The staff is professional and pretty kind (everywhere: reception, lounge, doors)

  • 5/5 Stephen H. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are well appointed, the canal views wonderful, and the staff a joy. Each member of the staff makes you feel they do care that you have a wonderful stay. If you pick hotels that have great gyms, choose the Hilton. The gym is private and but free to use for hotel guests.

Good staff, not a central location. Old school hotel. Fells dates. Rooms aren't great. Very warm, noisy air conditioning, no ventilation. Limited services available

  • 4/5 Donovan S. 2 years ago on Google
Great service from friendly staff. Clean rooms with good view of canal in a location that is about 15min walk from Van Gough Museum. Room was of respectable size and would love to stay at this hotel again if visiting Amsterdam again.

Our stay at the Hilton was absolutely tremendous. From the comfy executive lounge (temporarily located on the ground floor instead of the 10th: very nice views of the lake, comfy leather chairs-very cozy!) to the great rooms (nice interior, GREAT beds, toiletries very nice) and the exceptional omelette made to order for breakfast. However most of all we will remember Edgar for his incredible personality and guest service. Edgar you were an absolute rockstar from start to finish! Overall this was a fantastic experience and I'd highly recommend this hotel anytime. We look forward to coming back!!
