I've stayed in lots of hotels, and this one ranks at the top! Every employee I've come in contact with has been beyond helpful and nice. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Louis at the bell desk brought our bags to our room, and stayed for ten minutes explaining everything we needed to know about our room and the city. We were in an executive room, offering plenty of space, a refrigerator, and a beautiful view of the city from the 11th floor. The M Club lounge had a nice breakfast, and an open bar with free food, beer and wine. There is a nice bar located in the hotel. Centrally located with lots of shops, museums and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

The location is amazing, very convenient with plenty of supermarkets, spar and Pharmacy just walking distance. If you don’t want to eat in their own restaurant, which is amazing. You will find plenty of choices around the hotel. The breakfast is great, with many options for juices, pastries, etc. I Highly recommend the Omelete(Crisp bacon with cheese), it is incredible.

With over 500 stays at Marriott hotels worldwide under my belt, I can with a doubt say that this is one of the best. Service is exceptional and it is a top hotel for Elite recognition. As a Titanium Elite, I was not only thanked for my loyalty at check-in, but upon arriving into my upgraded room I was greeted with a wonderful gift from the manager and staff. The hotel itself is in the best location for seeing the city, and the kindness of the staff and cleanliness of the public areas every single day shows that management is really on top of their game here. The M Club lounge is absolute perfection with 24 hours a day access to complimentary coffee and treats, a beautiful breakfast and canapes/drinks each evening. No matter how busy or slow the lounge, the staff is unfailing at greeting each guest with a smile and kind gestures. This is my second visit to Marriott Amsterdam and it will always be my favorite hotel in the world! 🙌

We vacationed in Amsterdam for a week and stayed at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel. The Hotel is located within minutes from the Van Gogh and Rembrandt museums, shopping and more. The staff takes pride in the hotel which is evidenced by their efforts to ensure the guests are comfortable and that the hotel is maintained to the highest of standards. The hotel staff were cordial, professional and knowledgeable. The room was cleaned and sanitized daily. We did not opt for the breakfast buffet upon booking our stay and wished that we had. The restaurant provided five star dinners and the cost was reasonable for the portions and number of courses offered. There is a supermarket just across the street as well as boat tours. We did meet some wonderful people on staff and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone on staff was always pleasant, helpful and patient with two tourists (an old married couple) that needed constant assistance with bookings, directions, taxi service, etc. In particular there was one specific concierge (mid-twenties woman from Crete) that assisted with directing us to many of the attractions and sights that we would not have visited were it not for her kind assistance. We would like her to know that we greatly appreciated her time and patience, she is truly one of the sweetest persons that treated us like family (not just another guest of the hotel). She is one of Marriott's greatest assets. We look forward to staying at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel again. Our room was comfortable and; as usual, Marriott sets the standard for Luxury hotels. They truly did not disappoint. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the Amsterdam Marriott for vacation, business, long weekend or even an overnight stay.

This Marriott is not as nice as others I've stayed at. Our room is definitely quiet. We are in a corner overlooking a major road but we don't hear the traffic. We have a queen size bed but the pillows are very flat even with 2 on top of each other. We have to call for house keeping every day which is very frustrating. Room surface is fairly quick but not warm. The shower stalls is horrible. It only has one glass wall so is open to the bathroom so water goes everywhere despite how carefully we tried to control that situation. Why can't they just have a normal shower that's enclosed?! The shower head is detachable which is good but it is so high I have to stand on my toes to reach it since I'm only 5 feet tall. I am disappointed in this Marriott. It is close to almost all the museums and we were able to walk everywhere all the way to the central part of Amsterdam.

I called this hotel home for a few days during my trip to Amsterdam. What I really like about this Marriott was it's easy to find and central location to all the interesting things in Amsterdam. The staff were nice and the breakfast great. Everybody who worked here was just helpful in the smallest way. Also, I really like the Marriott product, it's so consistent no matter where in the world you are.

Stayed here over the weekend and it was great. The location was conviently placed next to the tram station and casino. The rooms were on the smaller side but well designed. The water pressure goes from 0 to 60 very quickly. The best part about our stay was the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had and it was free. The buffet had literally anything you could want to eat. We definitely felt like we got a great value and experience for our stay.

Hotel is very nice with a lot to offer. The M Club lounge is huge and has free breakfast for members and food in the evening. The only negative about the room is that there is a vent in the bathroom that runs all day and night and is really loud. It keeps me awake at night. Also housekeeping does not change your sheets if you soil them. I have a photo of the bedsheets we had that got blood on them and I had to sleep in it the next night. Also it was very difficult to order food to go in the restaurant and bar area. They told me I had to go to my room to order room service and when I tried that, the menu on the tv would not open or work at all so I had to walk back down to the desk for a paper menu because there are none in the room to look at. Then I had to go back up to my room to order. I would rather have liked to order at the bar and got my food in a to go box/bag because the menus are different. I have never heard of a restaurant not offering take away before. The Midtown Grill connected to the hotel would not let me order to go either. It just became a hassle that I decided not to eat dinner. The location is great and close to museums and shopping.

The location is amazing, close the city center, within walking distance from everywhere. Friendly staff, clean rooms and customer service went out of their way to prepare a surprise gift for my wife’s birthday, I’m very thankful for that. Will definitely recommend!!!

Top tier property which is located close to all main attractions in Amsterdam. FD manager on duty Johan showed great elite status recognition and upgraded us to a junior suite including an outstanding room decoration and complimentary bottle of wine for our one night stay. His politeness and professionalism was way beyond my expectations. Usually I experience this high level of service only in the middle east or southeastern Asia. Loved the M club lounge especially the food they served in the evening hours. I strongly recommend this Marriott hotel.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. They compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Optimal location. Appears to be adequately staffed and not to the level one might expect for the premier Marriott in a town. Very well maintained. In other cities I'd give it a 4, and for Amsterdam it's an easy 5. The bar isn't extremely high though.

Right at the start of the walking street where all the food and shopping are. Refurbished a few years ago and the rooms are clean and spacious. Lots to do just within walking distance from the hotel. Great location to be at. Just watch out for bicycles when you step out of the hotel! ◡̈

Great stay at the Marriott Amsterdam ! The localisation is perfect, not far from all the shops, close to the supermarket Spar. The staff is really Nice, the room ( 2 double beds) was clean and refreshed everyday. Also as the hotel was not so full due to the covid situation, we was able to get an early check in and late check out. We really appreciated it ! Thanks to the staff!

Love the location. Close to everything to explore. Frans greeted us right as we pulled up. Very helpful with luggage and directions. The hotel restaurant Midtown Grill was excellent! Food was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Amsterdam!

So cozy and well appointed!! Service staff is great, their ensuring of clean rooms upon check in is not. Found trash from previous quest still in the receptacle. And the towels could be a great deal softer. **Sadly the incident wasn't isolated. I also received dirty-clean wash cloths and towels. Triple checking your laundry contractor might be a good idea too. Otherwise lovely stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered the lobby, the ambiance exuded a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the efficient and friendly staff who welcomed me with genuine smiles. Their professionalism and attention to detail set a positive tone for my entire stay Hotel quite old . It was tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and equipped with good amenities that contributed to a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. The bed was particularly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the vibrant city. we love the location of the hotel

The staff was exceptionally responsive and guest-centered. We enjoyed our super clean and updated room. The hotel location was close to everything we wanted to see. When returning, our family wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.

Stayed here many times through the years. Rooms are always clean comfortable and tidy. Staffs are also pleasant and polite. Only feedback was the gym’s water fountain.was there in the evening 7pm and the water ran out.called them but took forever. Could have more frequent checks conducted. Overall it’s a great property to stay, with good food and pleasant people.

Pros : Large rooms Thick medium soft pillows ( good for me) Location Fairly good price Friendly staff Breakfast Cons: Check in area is little bit narrow. Prepare to wait if you are in rush hours. Outside traffic noise at night Deep cleaning. Not bad but can be better

Great location with numerous tram lines in 3min less walking distance. Very close to museums and shopping area. Only down side is the rooms need upgrade to live up the expectation of Marriott brand.

Our River Cruise offered a 2 day extension in Amsterdam, and they had chosen this hotel. We had a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the location, the rooms, and the service. Our only complaint was on our first night it was raining. After traveling all day, we just wanted a beer or two with light snacks. We were scared away by excessively loud, awful music, and instead, we had to eat at the overpriced high-end carnivore restaurant.

Great location. Still haven’t finished the trip and I’m already sure I don’t want to return despite the placement of the hotel. It’s very stuffy, and we were put in a small uncomfortable room with poor ventilation. Also met a few bumps with reservations through concierge despite their friendliness. Not the best experience

Thoroughly enjoyed this stay. Excellent Hotel in a Great location. Service in the Lounge was outstanding. Unfortunately we had a problem with the window in our room. It would not close properly and because of the windy location it constantly cooled the room and made a loud whistling noise. Called front desk twice. went to the concierge twice over 4-6 hours. told someone from engineering would come up to fix it. No one ever showed. If finally got a chair to stand on to see what the problem was. Turns out the window seal had come loose and was preventing the wind from closing and latching. I fixed the seal as best I could and was able to close and latch the window. End of problem but certainly not what I would expect from a Top of the Line Marriott Hotel especially considering the high price we paid.

Hi everyone, Stayed here for one night, so first the check in was fast and very helpful staff, they notice you when you are standing in line for a checkin and ask you if you need any assistance. The rooms are nice and modern design, everything was clean. For dinner we went to Midtown Grill which is a nice and beautiful steakhouse, they explained all the variety of meats, and it was super nice atmosphere and delicious food. Next day for breakfast was as well a lot of different variety of foods. It got a little busy but the staff was hardworking and helpful. The check out later was fast, we felt appreciated and we left the hotel in a good mood. Would recommend 10/10

This is one of the best Marriott hotels we’ve stayed at with excellent service a wonderful buffet breakfast, which honestly was well worth every penny and very nice comfortable clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this place because of its proximity to wonderful restaurants and shopping as well as many of the museums in the area

This is a solid hotel choice if you’re visiting Amsterdam. It’s conveniently located to a lot of major attractions and activities. It’s also located right next to train stops that can quickly bring you to the airport when you’re leaving. Everything is in walking distance from here. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location at tram and canal. Spacious clean rooms and really nice M Club. What sets them apart though is the service. Olga, the concierge did a wonderful job helping us when we needed a dentist, and Jupe helped us figure out how to deal with some issues we had at a different Marriott. We were so grateful for both of them.

Really bad experience. My friend and I are staying here since yesterday and it's been one issue after another. There were leftovers from the previous guests in the room and when we asked for a tea and coffee set (there were none available on the room due to Covid policy), the box was dirty and the sugar already opened and used, which is not only unhygienic but doesn't really match with their Covid policy. We left the room this morning and came back at 6pm to see that it hadn't been done. I've just reported this to the shift manager who apologised and said that they don't have enough staff. Fair enough but then maybe they shouldn't be offering more rooms that they can afford to staff? This was supposed to be a treat trip and my friend and I paid quite a lot of money for the stay so it's really disappointing to see this great deal of poor service and unhygienic issues in a Marriott. Ah, and the bathtub screen doesn't close properly so all the water from the shower goes out. And it's impossible to get hold of the reception through the phone. The staff are lovely, that should be said, but we definitely won't be coming back or recommend anyone to get close to a Marriott.

Great service and location, easy access to airport by bus, a few parking spots and very quick walks to museums and Vondelpark. Rooms needed a bit more maintenance, the shower door leaked and the fridge was hard to open as it was screwed in too close to the door. There is a lack of charging ports too. Otherwise great, everyday house service and comfortable beds.

The location is excellent. Their staff Ly and Charles were very warm and friendly and always smiling whenever I visit. The Midtown Grill restaurant is also a must try when you're on the area.

This Marriott is Excellent! The service is perfect and I never met any staff member who was unpleasant. Really amazing hotel and by the way the Grill has the most amazing menu with excellent Chefs.

Excellent service! Every encounter with staff was pleasant. Very clean. I disliked the conditioner, and I wish the tubs were wider- but that's not enough to take a star off for. Frans the doorman was especially helpful in giving us directions on how to get the COVID test necessary to return home. There was another gentleman (black with an American accent) who gave us the good recommendation of the pancake corner for late night eats.

We had a lovely stay in Marriot Amsterdam! Very clean and organized room, excellent service and delicious rib eye stake 😋 The hotel is located in a central area of the city, 3 minutes walking to Vondelpark and Leidseplein as well as easy access for public transportation. Recommend!

This isn't a 5* hotel. This is very much just about a 4* business hotel. Breakfast is sub par. You're better off going out. Poor selection and cramped seating. Bare rooms, really plain. All the bathrooms have a smell of damp and are very small. Some staff unhelpful. Good location. Very average hotel. Don't bother with the executive rooms.

  • 4/5 R C. 1 year ago on Google
Location is good and rooms were clean. However daily cleaning was on and off. Some days were better than others. Coffee pods were replaced once but not again; room was cleaned however the beds looked as if they were not done. There was actually a water bottle under our daughter’s cover! Bathroom floor was dirty etc… the only way we figured out the room was actually ‘cleaned’ was the fresh towels in the bathroom. The lounge was very good and had many choices for breakfast and in the afternoon for drinks and snacks.

The outside is a little underwhelming, but inside was very beautiful. Friendly staff, fresh flowers almost everyday was a nice touch. Clean rooms, the team working the front desk were friendly and helpful. Great location, the pancake club is right outside so great location. Also the taxi service they used was cheaper then ordering a taxi from outside. Was almost a 40 euro difference using there taxi service then ordering our own. Bar was nice as well.

Stayed at this hotel for years! Rooms are great but maybe a touch on the small side. Service has always been superb. This time, was assisted at the front desk by Luliana. Had some queries and she was wonderfully patient and helpful, with a lovely smile the whole time.

Hotel was recently renovated. Rooms are average size and clean with modern decor. Location is right at the city within walking distance to rijks museum and heineken museum. Across the hotel is the casino. Plenty of food options nearby however the restaurant at the hotel itself called midtown grill serves excellent dry aged steaks. Gym is well equipped. Nice lounge area while checking in. Staff are friendly and well trained. Kudos

My family and I had breakfast in the M Club during our last visit in Feb. I found out fruits were not fresh to serve and just causally told Charles, the employee in the lounge the same as courtesy. Later that day, the head chef of the hotel left a hand writing card in our room. We were so surprise. I didn’t tell Charles my name, and I did not complain the food at all but just want them to know the condition. I would say the Marriott staffs are professional, and care the visitors’ opinion. We may just visit Amsterdam once in our life, but we will definitely remember the stay in this Marriott hotel and all of their friendly staff.
