I had the best stay at the Lloyd! The hotel was restored beautifully, our room was amazing, the location is wonderful and so is the service. I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend to all.

We had room 6. Underground room. Pretty cool? Right? Well it was cooler down there which was nice because it had been such a hot weekend. Anyway. The room's design was a bit odd but not bad. It was kinda neat, we thought, something different. Even now I can't knock it for being unique. It was cool and we felt real trendy. Sadly though, as soon as we came back from a day of adventures in the city we realised our mistake. OK. The bathroom being basically in the same room as your bed meant showers made the whole room so steamy and hot it was horrible trying to sleep. The next issue was the ultra thin curtains meant all of the light from the street came beaming in all night. Remember we are in the basement so street lights came right in. It was basically as bright as early dusk all night long. This was exacerbated by the fact that a nightclub or pub or whatever the hell it was played thumping music until way past 1am on a Monday night! So it's nearly 2am and its bright as daytime, everything is kinda damp from the shower, and the punters from the nearby pub are laughing and shouting a joking by our window, all with a background of thumping bass. Long story short. Looks nice to hang out in. Looks nice in pictures but our room was actually a full on nightmare to sleep in. Now i understand that no two room's are the same design in this hotel? Maybe we got unlucky but I had a bad night for sure.

The terras is nice and quiet. The service could improve, was a bit chaotic (orders were forgotten, main course was served at the same time as entrees). My steak was too well done. A couple of months ago it was better, though

Very comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff, only 10 mins to Centraal station and two supermarkets across the road

We had a great stay at the Lloyd Hotel. The staff were amazing, so friendly and very helpful. It was my partners birthday and they left him a handwritten birthday note and a cake which was so thoughtful. We stayed with our dog and when we arrived there was a bed for her and a welcome package including a toy and some biscuits which was a lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is really nice too. The hotel is in a great location with quick and easy access to the 7 and 26 lines which get you all over Amsterdam quickly and to the Central station in 10 minutes. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk away and a handful of restaurants within walking distance. We stayed in the 'Roomy' room which was a good size for a couple of a dog. It would have been nice to have more space to put things on, such as a table or desk. It would also have been nice to have our bin emptied more often and tea/coffee replaced (we had enough for 1 day but were staying for 6 so had to ask for more multiple times). I am fine with less housekeeping and the green initiative but the bin in our room was tiny and we ended up with a lot of rubbish since we stayed for almost a week so a bigger bin would be helpful. We ended up taking the rubbish out ourselves rather than asking for housekeeping every time and I saw other guests do the same. Parking at the hotel is €45 per 24 hours. We parked our car for 1 day, then moved it down the road to the P+R which cost us €26 for 4 days with a GVB card, it is one tram stop away and saves so much money. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, only a few small tweaks would be needed to make the stay perfect.

The Hoxton at Lloyd Hotel provides a cozy and engaging dining atmosphere, with staff that truly make the experience. The menu, however, feels limited in choice, lacking in appetizing variety. Moreover, charging a premium for carbonated water seems excessive compared to the free bottles the old Lloyd Hotel provided. Nonetheless, the quality of the dishes served looks commendable and suggests potential for an even better dining experience with a few adjustments.

Nice building and friendly priced for a stay in Amsterdam. Spacious room and great location for taking the boat to Vuurtoreneiland. Nice, traditional building with good atmosphere. Friendly priced. The room was half empty and showering felt like being in a school gym shower. Very ingenious solution to split the room in two with a moving wall, but when closed, it felt like we were sleeping in a room under construction were furniture was still to be added.

All in all it was an alright place to stay. We got put into a twin room after requesting a double, but we understand this is down to availability. I spoke to reception and they only had one double available and they were more than happy to get us moved over. The room was clean enough with free tea and coffee etc. The only issue really was the hoovering the halls/rooms late at night 10pm/11pm. We didn’t have any of the food so can’t comment on that. It’s not in the city centre but the trams are convenient enough to get you there in around 5/10 mins.

We visited for our anniversary this weekend and the hotel was definitely a big part of making our stay perfect. The staff were lovely and even left my favourite chocolate in our room for us with a little note! The room was nothing but stunning and the breakfast was incredibly tasty! This is in a great location with a strip of little shops just outside and the town is only a short drive away. We loved it and can't wait to go again.

I booked the Lloyd for 160 euros a night, for some of the standard rooms. Always wanted to stay here, lived in Amsterdam before and that is a place I always liked. Location is great, design is nice. But I am very disappointed. Arrived yesterday at 22:30. No food at all, no bar, no snacks in the room, no drinks of any kind. The bed is comfortable, but unfortunately wasn't made when I just returned in the afternoon. The TV is pretty broken and noises from neighbors are quite loud. For this price I would definitely expect more and will for sure not return. I really looked forward to my stay, but what was expected to be a nice experience was simply underwhelming, specially for that price.

Great historical hotel with super unique rooms but don’t take the 5-star one in the attic with the swing because the toilet is super noisy, the blinds don’t keep the sun out and the birds are hilariously loud from 5am. If you aren’t a light sleeper shouldn’t be a problem. Staff was great as well.

Got a deal for this room. The hotel is stunning with very interesting history. From the moment we arrive the staff were very accommodating. Changed our room to one with a bath no problem. The rooms are all unique, we stayed in the 3 star room. Very unique, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is lovely and the staff lovely. The food was perfect and delicious. I fell in love with this hotel. The outside is stunning at night lit by the street. Have already booked another room to revisit. Would recommend to anyone looking for reasonable priced hotel close to the station.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly and the room was big and clean. The bed was SO comfortable. It is dog friendly and the staff even gave our dog some cookies. Its well place in the city. Not super close to the tourist sector but close enough to walk there easily. Also the neighborhood is full of little charming coffee and restaurants.

Beautiful hotel in a historical building. The interiors are very neat! They even had a grand piano in the room. Hospitable and qualified staff. Georgina (from reception) was very kind to us! Thumbs up for this spot 👍🏼

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
