Evacuating my family from Ukraine due to the war. Plans changed and had to cancel our reservation. Politely requested that the hotel offer even a partial refund due to the circumstances. Refused without responding :) Good to know money is more important to them than helping displaced refugees :) Great stuff!

This hotel is without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever visited and I've travelled all over the world. The staff are lazy and abusive and don't care about the people who pay good money to stay there. I also seen them abuse a female customer who came down to make a complaint and then they called the police for her. The woman clearly had a valid complaint and was verbally abused by the male and female persons serving at the front desk. I cannot believe that hotel staff would do this and be so unprofessional its unbelievable. The rooms are also damp with mould around the windows and general areas are grubby to say the least. I really don't know how they managed to get a four star rating as i wouldn't give this hotel a star at all. In relation to the abused female guest i was in the lobby at the time and seen the entire incident from start to finish and will be reporting the male manager to the police for his aggressive abuse of this female customer. I would tell all people who visit Amsterdam to totally avoid this absolute disaster of a so called hotel. AVOID THE BLUE TOWER HOTEL and and other XO Hotels.

We stayed here last June in a room with a 2-sided view, a good hotel with a strategic location close to supermarkets and shopping complexes, also near bus/tram stops. The room was clean, comfortable with great views of the city and a quiet atmosphere. Good facilities but service needs to be improved. Some employees are friendly and some are not so friendly.

Nice place to stay. It's not directly in the city, but you would get a bus from the central station. The staff was amiable, and the breakfast was good. It wasn't included in the accommodation, but it was €50 for three nights for my friend and me. The rooms were nice. There is a lovely coffee place near it and a supermarket. When we asked for advice from the staff, they were always happy to help.

Stayed for 3 nights in a 3 people room, room was excellent, 10th story with perfect view, everything was clean, coffee pads were refilled daily and everything was neat and tidy when we came back from a long day of exploring Amsterdam and the surroundings. The location is really nice, 10 minute bus ride from central with busses or trams coming every 5 to 10 minutes. Breakfast is a bit pricey so we stuck to getting our own food from the supermarket right around the corner. Only downside to our stay was a weird smell in the hall on our floor, but it was quickly fixed even without us having to tell the staff about it. Thanks again to the nice lady at the reception that let us stay in the lobby and use the facilities after our Trip home was delayed.

I really wish I could leave a nice review. I came in really tired and in need for rest. First thing I saw, yellow spots on the toilet… it was not clean!! Really poor experience. Sadly, the reception didn’t care about it. They didn’t even apologize for the experience. I showed the picture of the toilet to the person in reception and he just said “ew”. They sent someone to clean it. After it was cleaned, the spots were still there. I called in again, reception suggested to change a room for me. I walked down again, was standing waiting for the change to happen, meanwhile someone else also came down asking to change the room as well. During my wait, the woman working in the reception was just gossiping about someone with another man. When I said that I don’t feel comfortable being here nor listening to their gossips or waiting for 1.30 until I can rest in my room, the man standing there just told me “to be normal”. Sadly, the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

Take all these negative reviews with a pinch of salt. Most certainly written by jobs-worths looking to complain about the tiniest of inconveniences. This place does the job and there were no problems at all for what is a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend for a long weekend in Amsterdam! Thank you to the professional, polite and accommodating staff 🙏

It's a little far from downtown but you can get there if you take a bus. The location is good, there's a lot of supermarkets next to it, cafe's too, it's a small plaza. The rooms are clean and pretty, for the price I believe it's reasonable. The breakfast there is great, variations of cheese and ham are offered along with a continental breakfast. It felt secure.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. The price was competitive and the room was spacious versus the central hotels, and it is straightforward once you get your head around the public transport to get back and forth from the centre which takes 30-40mins or so. Worth factoring in extra cost and time! The hotel itself appears clean and has the amenities that you need, but the soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired as the people in the rooms next to us may as well have been in the room with us for the amount of noise we could hear. Not great when you're trying to sleep! 😕. We didn't try the hotel food etc so cannot comment on that. They do have some reasonably priced vending machines in the lobby if you need a soft drink or snack when the shop round the corner is shut. The bathroom was extremely clean which is good, but the vanity sink had so many screws trying to keep it together when you can clearly see that it should've retired a long time ago.

Everything was great! My trip was exactly as I wanted it to be. I had a great time and will return 100%. I had an unforgettable experience here at XO Hotels Blue Tower. The hotel staff was very friendly, respectful and helpful. The breakfast de jun is very varied and tasty. From the hotel to the center can be reached very quickly and comfortably. I recommend this hotel and I will come back!

We stayed for 3 nights in the “triplet” room. We were in room 315. The bedroom itself was lovely, very clean and our beds were made everyday, and our rubbish was taken away. We had netting on the windows as the room faces an office building and you can see people working. We got a delivery to the hotel, the reception called the room when it arrived, very good and helpful!! The only issue we had was with the bathroom. Because we were on the 3rd floor, we faced an office building/other houses and only the middle of the windows were frosted/glazed. You felt like you were on show when you went to the toilet/have a shower. They did have curtains in the bathroom which we pulled closed, but we wanted some actual light! So just personal preference. Would have stayed on a higher floor if we had the choice! There are excellent transport links around the hotel including the Trams (2 minute walk) and the Metro (8 minute walk), and getting around Amsterdam was so easy. We would stay here who (albeit just on a higher floor!!) Oh, and they let us leave our luggage in the hotel before check in and after check out, so we could explore the city more!!

The common areas such as corridors and lifts are very dirty. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a face-lift. This hotel was very far away from anything interesting although public transport is good. Wouldn't stay here again.

Hotel has a great location. Excellent connection for public transport: busses and trams to the Central Station operate every 5-8minutes. A lot of supermarkets, restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. Cleanliness could be a bit improved (we found dirty spoon and empty plastic bottle of water in our room, but the sheets and towels are perfectly clean and regularly changed).

The room was comfortable and clean, and that was the most important thing for me. During my short visit, I didn't get to explore much because of the weather. From my limited experience of the walkable area, it didn't have a lot to offer a tourist. I was okay with that, but some people might be disappointed. There is a police station near by so I heard sirens frequently. These reduced significantly at night.

I have booked in this hotel by mistake on the wrong dates. I sent them an e-mail 3 minutes later asking for refund and was hoping they would be understanding. I just wasted hundreds of euros that I was going to use to see my family that will be in Amsterdam at this time but this won't happen because the hotel strict rules is above any humane and moral values. I even asked them if I can have credits at the hotel so I can use it another time instead and they also declined my request. What kind of hospitality is this? I am writing this review so maybe they can reconsider their values and accept a partial refund or giving me credits so I can stay at their hotel another time. Otherwise I will not be able to see my family and people checking this review will know they are dealing with an hotel that lacks values. Expedia has been trying to help, but the hotel is refusing to be flexible without any negotiation.

We were three friends staying at the Blue Tower hotel for three nights, and our experience was perfect. Firstly, the triple bedroom had a lot of space, and since it had many windows, the room felt very bright and uplifting. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. But the best quality was the view from the bathroom. We were staying in the corner room of the building, and our spacious bathroom had big windows on both sides of the room, so we had a nice view of the city. The room also had a coffee machine and toiletries, which was a huge advantage. Secondly, even though the hotel is not in the city centre, the transport is very efficient. It only took us 15 minutes to get to the centre by line 21. Also, the hotel has a grocery store and a KFC nearby, which is very convenient. There was also a bakery within walking distance of the hotel. Thirdly, our experience with the hotel staff was very positive. The staff was friendly, welcoming and they assisted us in every way, even when our questions were a little bit foolish. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive and clean hotel and do not mind not staying in the city centre, I highly recommend the Blue Tower hotel.

Amazing stay! I stayed in Amsterdam for 4 days and my trip turns way better staying in XO Hotel Blue Tower. Friendly staff - they were all very helpful with all my needs. Sparkling cleaning bedroom, very comfortable and cosy. The hotel lounge is great for chilling. The location is perfect - close to public transports and all amenities. Just 15min to city center. I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends and book a new staying in my next visit to Amsterdam. Superb!!!

Perfect.✨ Beautiful and clean rooms. Great location. Easy to get to the airport and to the main tourist attractions. Near main street with great places to eat. Behind there's a grocery store. We will definitely stay here next time.

The stay was going great until whoever cleaned the room left a soaking wet pillowcase (which wasn’t even ours) on top of a really valuable book I had left on the bedside table. My book got completely wet and damaged, and they say they’re not responsible for damaged or lost items and also the safe isn’t big enough to store all your belongings, since you can’t trust room service to just clean the room without wreaking your stuff. Absolutely ruined my experience, unfortunately, I won’t ever come back.

The room had a air vent which meant that cold air was rushing in all the time, additionally the heating is very loud especially at night. I ended up catching a cold probably related to the room, as turning off the heating makes the room quite chilly. Otherwise it was a great location, only 15 minutes drive to the airport.

20min bus into Central Station, so not too bad. Not a lot around the hotel unless you like Turkish food. Rooms were big, good sized bathroom and clean. Breakfast was good. Only minor issue was the safe was locked, advised reception but never unlocked, not a big issues as we used the safe in our daughter's room. No bar in the hotel which was disappointing afer a long day exploring Amsterdam. Supermarket around the corner so no worries about provisions.

Amazing hotel. Price was really good and it is a lot cheaper if you booked directly with the hotel on their website rather than through Booking.com Location was great too, not in the centre but 15 mins away from the centre on a bus or a tram. You can take 2-3 different busses or trams to the city centre. Within 2 mins walk from the hotel there are two supermarkets, Turkish bakery, takeaway places for snacks. So very convenient. We stayed in the triple room and it was reasonable amount of space. The room was clean and not smelly. The bathroom was decent size, clean and all the basic toiletries provided along with towels. Only criticism is the water pressure was a bit weak in the shower.

Our room was clean and neat. The place is easy accessible, there 3 elevators which makes everyone's lives so much easier especially if you are in a wheelchair, with a baby stroller or luggage.

Fantastic hotel. Came to stay twice on two separate reservations. Staff always helpful including one female member of staff who discovered I arrived on my birthday and delivered a special birthday gift to the room. Can’t fault this hotel in any way. Will definitely be back.

I liked my stay with a friend, here at XO BLUE TOWERS it's a 59 minutes walk 4.6km (2.85miles) from the central station. Or you can catch the 21 bus which is a 21 minutes ride. I enjoyed the breakfast, also with having shops nearby for minor things was great to. I would consider coming again. So may I say a big thank you to the staff we were in a twin room 708 from 17/4/23 - 21/4/23.

The best hotel experience. The room is clean and everything is just fine and perfect. If you get a higher floor room, the view is also amazing. And the supermarket is right next to the hotel.

This hotel is beautiful on the inside. Very nice rooms with comfortable bedding and many extra animinities. It had a coffee machine! The surrounding area had lots to do and transport links to more central Amsterdam. Would definitely recommend!

Worth the money. You have very basic things you need. 5-minute walk to the bus/tram station. 15 minutes to the city centre. Had a nice time service is 7/10. They should improve more. Recommended👌🏼

Not a 4-star hotel. Room v basic and not in good condition. Hairdryer barely works, holes in the tiling in the bathroom, plug in the bath broken... Also experienced rude and not-bothered staff. Good if you just want somewhere to rest your head as it has good tram links.

Convenient location, next to a shopping mall, where the P+R parking is just next door. A lot of shops & cafés are around corner. There is a back door in the hotel that gives a shortcut to mall. Several trams & buses lead to city center. The hotel itself is OK, worth the 3 stars, but no more than that in terms of facilities & cleanness. If you are lucky, you could have a paranormal view to the city (even in the bathroom!). The staff are kind & helpful.

Great hotel ! We were unable to go to Amsterdam because of the health crisis related to CoVid19 and the hotel was very understanding and helped us a lot. We had booked through Booking.com and the communication with the hotel was great! They are easy to reach and respond very quickly! We haven't made our stay yet because we postponed it to next year, but I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed! See you soon !

We had a great stay in this hotel. The rooms are cozy and the hotel is at a great spot. P+R is right next to the hotel, which is much cheaper than normal parking (but you have to follow the rules!). Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the rooms were not 100% clean, you notice the age of the hotel. Nevertheless, the important parts like towels or bed sheets were very clean!

Very nice and clean hotel. Spacious room, nice bathroom and big shower. Good location, close by the tram, 15mins to city center. The only thing is that the beds were a bit hard (for me personally) and the coffee machine didn't work. Other than that, a good hotel 👍

Quick 2 day stay in Amsterdam chose this hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly. Check-in is smooth. We didn't opt for breakfast as nearby you can get other options. Rooms were not huge but decent enough for 2 day stay. Coffee maker, dryer, ironing option were available which not many budget friendly hotel provides. Our room had windows but unfortunately since the view was not great and also was on 2nd floor didn't fee Comfortable to open. Bathrooms were neat, housekeeping was done rightly. Only negative was when we first entered room had not great smell which we dint have time to complain as we had plans and had to spray perfumes to make it work. Bit next days dint have any issue. Checkout was great as well and they help very well with queries to see city around and have offers for certain activities you want to take inthe city. Very near to metro and tram, bus stations and dint struggle for transport at all.

The rooms look great, our bathroom was sadly not too clean as we found some hair in the bathtub and in the sink. I was also not a fan of the hallway, as it was completely carpeted and seemingly hadn't been ventilated in some time, the air was very stale and didn't smell good. The staff is very friendly and speedy in their service, every room gets shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and some other things as well, which was great. Overall, I would consider another stay here, as the price was also good for what we got.

  • 3/5 Samirah A. 1 year ago on Google
If you are a person that expects cleanliness don't book this hotel. The employees really don't have an eye for keeping things clean. Stains on the blanket, hair on the bed, dirty bathroom walls, dirty fridge, stained surfaces etc. If you don't mind these things the hotel location is very nice, quiet & not busy at all. Furthermore there are three supermarkets right next to it. The rooms also make you feel a bit claustrophobic because of the layout and color scheme. Therefore if you don't mind some dirt and want to save money this is the place to go.

    - Hotel location is good, near to tram/bus - Room was extremely well spacious and with good views - Bathroom and linen were all neat. - Room had all necessary facilities. - Breakfast was decent. Though prices were on higher side, we liked our stay. If you're okay with commute of 15 min from city centre, you can go with this hotel.

Amazing Hotel. The rooms were nice and Clean. We Had a beautiful View over The while City from our room. The staff was super friendly and let us stay in the Lobby for one extra night because we missed our train. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful room, very clean. Also housekeeping every day! Great service, nice view from the 6th floor. The only downside was that it was a bit far into the city centre, but absolutely worth taking the bus/tram for this hotel! 5 stars, easy!

  • 4/5 Anastasija D. 1 year ago on Google
It was a good stay for my husband and I. I am putting one star less only because we had internet issues. Other things like room, comfort and etc were great! Would stay here again. As the commute to the centre of Amsterdam and getting to the airport is good.

When we arrived on the first day, unfortunately, water was leaking from the air conditioner. When we told the reception, they quickly followed up and gave us another room and also a free breakfast. The hotel had some problems, but the very good behavior of the staff made us spend a good time .
