I would really want to put a 4.2. It is not at a 5 level yet, but somewhat higher than a 4. + The hotel is beautiful with stylish design. + The breakfast buffet is great + The beds & linens are of great quality + The place is well located to visit the city. It is however difficult to access with a car. ~ Most of the staff members are friendly and welcoming a few are more passive - The price remain somewhat high for the service. - The cleaning could be better with deeper cleaning. It is in general clean, but if you look carefully you see that rooms are not fully clean. - Some pieces of furnitures or equipment are somewhat wearing down. It would be okay for a lower price tag, not for a quality 4 stars hotel. - Nearby car parkings options are especially expensive 55€/day

Absolutely disgusting treatment by Ink Hotel and the Commercial Manager. Checked in at 8am (room not ready which we were expecting) however left our bags at reception and went off exploring. Returned at 2pm to be told our room will be ready in 45 minutes so we went off for a drink. Returned at 3.30pm only to be told we have no room and we are moved to a completely different motel! Trip was booked over 12 months ago and they only told….. THE CUSTOMER, at 3.30pm. Did not even offer a complimentary taxi to the new motel, I had to ask for this. Pathetic customer service. Without customers your business goes under. New motel is a lower standard room, much smaller but I believe more expensive (don’t know how). Manager not sympathetic and couldn’t seem to care less, just gave the usual lip service. To top it off they tried to offer an upgrade…… something we had ALREADY paid for, that’s not an upgrade when the customer has already paid for it! Take your accomodating needs elsewhere folks. Note- New motel, Victoria Park staff were excellent and very professional, thank you

Amazing hotel and staff, who go beyond to make it a really personable experience. The room was immaculate when we arrived, with a few extra treats for my girlfriend, which was a great surprise. Location is spot on, right in the middle of everything but not on the busiest of roads. One thing that was really handy about the location was being able to call back at the hotel and it was never more than a 10 min walk away. Definitely found a new hotel for when we visit Amsterdam. Good access to trams and within walking distance to the train station, as well as many tourist sites. Rooms were very comfortable with nice touches, and loved the writers' themed lobby. Only negative was the shower head was hard to access without getting freezing cold water over part of your body and before it warmed up! Staff was helpful and attentive.

From start to finish all the staff that I had dealings with were very helpful and friendly. A lovely surprise to have been upgraded free of charge. Very clean hotel, very comfy bed. Definitely recommend

This was our best all time hotel stay in Amsterdam. The Ink Hotel is well located in the Centrum. We were able to walk to many of the areas which we wanted to see. The staff is outstanding, especially Merlin and Alice. They helped us through dealing with delayed luggage at the airport, along with filling our service requests. Our room was serviced daily by a very accommodating housekeeping staff. The room layout was a bit different from what we were used to at other hotels, but it soon became very comfortable. Our stay was a great value, and we would not hesitate to book the Ink Hotel again on our next visit to Amsterdam.

INK Hotel is one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. The decor is stunning, and makes very good use of the available space they have. They have incorporated the history of the building into every part of the hotel and I actually looked forward to coming back to my room. The staff members I interacted with were all lovely and super helpful. They absolutely elevated my stay. The food was delicious as well (don't skip their breakfast or the green juice!). I can't wait to be back!

I informed the team that we were there celebrating my husbands birthday and they went over and beyond decorating the room with birthday wishes and gifts to make him feel welcome. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam and we were able to walk to everything. The bed was comfortable and we slept soundly. A few things to note: the toilet does not have a ventilation fan. The bar downstairs does not have Guinness on tap. I wish the bar were open a bit later than 10. The room is quite small although cleverly designed, it was tight with two people and both of our checked bags. Finally, the shower was impossible to turn on without getting sprayed with cold water.

Would not recommend this hotel. Robotic staff during check in, didn’t have the warmth one would expect from a highly rated hotel. Our room didn’t have working AC so it felt really warm with dead air in the room. For someone who gets overly hot at night, this arrangement just doesn’t work. When I called front desk and informed the staff, she seemed like she didn’t belong at front desk and actually hung up on me. When I called back the second time, a different person answered and said would send someone to check the AC. When a male staff arrived, he delivered a fan. I asked whether he was coming in to check the AC, he replied, front desk only asked him to bring a fan. He checked AC and indeed it wasn’t working but all functions were set correctly on the thermostat. I called back for the third time, this time a gentleman answered. He also had no clue of the situation, so I had to explain for the third time. He then provided a fan as a solution. I asked whether there’s another room available, and he said only smaller rooms. He should have offered a different room automatically as a solution. Overall, I’m not satisfied with how the situation was handled- had to call three times and explain to three different people. First solution offered by two staff was a fan. I didn’t pay $432 a night to use a fan. Aside from that, the shower door wouldn’t close properly unless pulled really hard. Overall just a bad experience. Will not come back again.

We did the bottomless brunch in a private space called the Library. I cannot praise the team here enough. The service was second to none, such lovely people and the food was delicious. They are not shy on the Cava at all and the cocktails were incredible! Definitely recommend this place!!

This hotel was the start of our 2.5 weeks vacation in Europe - we stayed here for two nights and loved the experience! The hotel used to be a printing press in a past life and the theme is maintained throughout. Old time typewriters are on every floor, and guests can actually have fun with them. They are not very functional though, but my 11 year old still had fun experimenting with a typewriter for the first time. Also, customer service is very consistent, and the bar is very high! The hotel staff gave great restaurant suggestions and were very eager to help. My son warmed up to them, and actually wrote his first letter of appreciation even though he did not know their name!

Great location near to transit (especially Centraal station) and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and would stay here again. The rooms are well appointed and have everything you need, including a hair dryer and safe for valuables. The only nitpick I would have is that the hallway is a bit loud and so the room can be slightly loud at night. If I could give 4.5/5 stars I would!

INK Hotel is fantastic. The location is great, most things are walkable or an easy tram ride away, as there’s a stop 1 minute out the door. The hotel interiors are quirky and cute, for example the the illustrated wallpaper city maps in the room are fun. The service is helpful and friendly. I really felt that the staff was sincerely invested in ensuring we had a great time in Amsterdam and at INK. We felt very welcome there, they even decorated the room for my birthday. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam - I would certainly stay here again. Do be aware though that, at least in our Deluxe Room, the bathroom area is not separated with a solid wall but a glass wall. This means some light illuminates the room at night if someone needs the bathroom, which could bother a light sleeper. PS - I agree with a previous post, the lobby smelled so good… so much so I bought the candle!

Had a 6 night stay here at this hotel. Perfect location. Close to many things including public transportation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed comfy.

We booked 2 rooms in INK Hotel Amsterdam for 17-21th September through booking.com. One of the rooms was refundable and the second was not. Because a member of our group was tested positive in COVID and we could not travel to Amsterdam we kindly asked the hotel to cancel the booking and refund our reservation. They replied that responsible for our booking refund was booking.com. We contacted booking.com and they told us that the hotel is responsible for the refund. They also made a request to the hotel to refund both of the rooms. INK Hotel refunded just one of the rooms and they refused to refund the second one! That was very unprofessional and not what we expected from a 4 star hotel.

The INK is one of a kind. Its in a great location (10 minute walk from the Central Station), it has unique rooms, a great atmosphere, and on top of that, the service was amazing. Even the Bitterballen room service we got was absolutely unbelievable for something so cheap. If its within your budget, this is a great hotel and I would 100% recommend it

We were warmly welcomed at the very clean desk, directions to our room we're given, questions politely and with patience answered. Our room was a luxurious surprise, we felt pampered all the way. Only thing that can be improved; on Sunday morning, the cleaning crew knocked aggressively on our door, to ask us what time we were leaving. That was an unpleasant surprise, since check-out was already discussed when we arrived.

The staff were incredible gracious and helpful with little hints about where to go in the city. One evening we brought back some frites to the hotel and one of your front of house staff got us some extra ketchup from the restaurant. It's the small things that we appreciate. Loved the room, well appointed and large. We would stay again here 100% Thank you for making our stay memorable.

We’ve just had our annual team meeting at the INK Hotel and were absolutely delighted with the professional process and support from booking to checkout. Beautifully designed Hotel, rooms and meeting facilities. Amazing breakfast offer. We were all taken care of by experienced staff and definitely recommend the INK Hotel to any traveler.

Our stay was impeccable. The rooms are comfortable and wall art is so fun and interesting, it was fun to explore the city having in my mind the wall map. The breakfast was well served and has options too all kind of diets. The staff were always friendly and helpful. And the location couldn’t be better, we didn’t have to use any kind of transport ever. We hope to come back someday.

Excellent hotel. Brilliant location, close to the station and walkable to all major sights. Tram stop outside was very useful. Rooms were so comfortable, lovely bed and quiet at night. Very attentive staff. Loved the style of the hotel and rooms too, the lobby smells amazing! I'd recommend coming here to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

This is a lovely hotel, close to the train station and Dam Square. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The front desk was a table set up in the lobby. The staff didn’t hide in the back. There was always someone to answer questions and help. The breakfast was a perfect start to our day with a nice selection of items. We enjoyed our stay at the Ink and would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel everything came along smoothly, a very clean room. A nice bar. Great location, a restaurant with vegan options, if you don't want to dine in there's a lot of good restaurants nearby.

I had an absolutely fabulous stay here. It's in a great location near shops and a reasonable walk to the Red Light District. Room was very comfortable and exactly as pictures described plus all amenities promised were available. The staff were amazing as well and all deserve high praise. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Picked this hotel for its great location, beautiful classy entrance / check in area, loved our room, spacious, beautiful bathroom, very good bedding, robes and slippers were great quality. Only thing is that our window was facing a either a wall or a very very close building couldn’t tell, so not a bright room which was a little disappointing, we only stayed one night so it didn’t bother me but it would of for a longer stay. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that but I deff recommend this hotel for its location great bedding and nice staff

Quirky art gave this hotel its unique identity. The map mural on the bedroom wall gave us a great insight to Amsterdam. Food was good and hospitality amazing. Really comfy room

Simply sublime! I was debating about which hotel to stay at as I wanted something with charm with pizazz, but be in the heart of the action. This hotel kept popping on my search and I am delighted that I booked it! From the moment of check in, the experience has been wonderful. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, and their recommendations for hotels and activities are on point. The rooms are a good size, clean, spacious, and love the decor. Even with my room having a view of the main road, I barely heard any noise and was able to rest peacefully each night. The hotel has a chic decor and is within walking distance to many attractions so very easy to get around. Thank you for making birthday so special. It really touched my heart with the staff’s kindness and care. I would definitely stay here again!!

I've stayed here a number of weeks this year for work and as well as being perfectly located, the stand out is the customer service and care that the team provide. The attention to detail is extremely special. The reception team are always so friendly and are always happy to help. It was my birthday on the 5th November and on my arrival my room was decorated.. chocolates on the bed, a beautiful vase of lilies and a birthday banner across the bed. Was such a beautiful gesture! The bar staff are so courteous and the the selection of wine lovely. For those smokers that don't like to stand on the street to smoke, the hotel has a cute garden area with seats and lighting. The rooms are impeccable and housekeeping never fail to keep it up to standard. This hotel is undoubtedly my favourite in Amsterdam! I am due to go back in a weeks time and really look forward to it.

I stayed for 3 nights whilst on a work visit and can honestly say I completely felt 'at home' with Ink. Lucy & Alice on reception were outstanding, no request was too much. They really made the customer experience exceptional. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast was plentiful, tasty and very good quality. Can't wait to come back - I stayed in 215 and would love to stay in this room again. The only downside? The corridors are a bit too dark.

The sweetest staff and accommodations! We recently stayed 3 nights at the INK hotel prior to a river boat cruise. The staff was outstanding. Valerie checked us in and helped us with restaurant suggestions as well as directions on how to get anywhere in the city. Together with Paul they had a great entertaining vibe going on! Not a day went by without laughing! Breakfast is great, the rooms are adequate, clean and with a great quirky design (love the wallpaper map). The history of the building comes back in all parts of the hotel. We had a great stay!

We booked this hotel for a weekend away in Amsterdam after I visited Eindhoven for a business trip. This was a great discovery the hotel location is very good for getting around, it has unique rooms. The reception host was amazing, she upgraded our room upon check-in. It’s in a great location approx 10 minute walk from Centraal station.

Second time I stayed in this hotel and Iiked it very much: efficient check-in, comfy well thought rooms, good location and friendly staff. Breakfast was also very good. The bar was a bit of disaster though, as apart from the main bartender, staff seemed to be very inexperienced. But would recommend the place for sure!

The hotel as a whole was Inkredible but it is the staff who truly make it shine. Valerie and Kathleen made us feel so welcome and valued. They were warm, funny, kind and made remembering us seem effortless. The room was comfortable and cozy. The location to the train station and lots of sites/shopping was idea. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had a beautiful little room at the top of a wonderfully renovated canal side building. Nice hotel with great service that could be a five star if they paid attention to details, like clean cups in rooms, or a TV set up that doesn't drive one crazy. But you shouldn't really be watching TV if you're staying old Amsterdam you shouldn't really be watching a lot of TV anyway. Also the chocolates on our bed was a nice touch

We had a quiet room which had an excellent layout. Found the safe on the last day, it might be worth a mention in the room info. Hotel amenities are good and location is perfect. We used the Zeeburg park and ride, tram ticket and parking for 3 days €8.50 total.

Nice rooms, very clean and comfortable. The check in was super simple, very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. Water pressure was good, my shower had a "waterfall" style shower head. Very nice.

We ended up in this hotel after a bad experience in another. Me and my friend were very pleased for the cleanliness, comfort, good location and attention of the staff.

Loved this hotel. Excellent location, very clean and comfortable. Decor very trendy, restaurant was delicious as well. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly with the exception of one who's name I didn't get, just found him to be rude when answering my questions and wasn't looking at me when talking to me etc. Other than that I had absolutely zero negative comments to make as the hotel itself was amazing. There is long term construction going on outside unfortunately which sort of ruins the aesthetic from outside and sucks when it rains and gets all muddy. This is not the hotels fault obviously but just something to keep in mind if that bothers you. Hopefully it doesn't last long as the street it is located on is beautiful and I'm sure looks simply gorgeous when not under construction

INK Hotel Amsterdam was amazing, and will definitely book to stay here again. The location is spot on, the staff were incredible and nothing was too much trouble. The beds... Oh my god, so comfortable. Room was clean, and very well presented, only thing, maybe more milk in the rooms for the coffee, that is it! But when asked we were given plenty. We were very happy with our stay. Thank you INK Hotel for making it such a beautiful first stay in Amsterdam. We look forward to seeing you again.
