Stay away!!! Worst hotel I've ever been to. Host is not only unfriendly, he also lied to us as if we were stupid children. Rooms do not look like on the website! They are the smallest you can imagine and extremely dirty. Blood and other disgusting stains all over the pillows and curtains, trash from previous guests under the bed, the toilet seat was dirty, plaster crumbles from the wall. The shower head was broken and there was mold all over the walls in the shower. We never got the right number of fresh towels and the cleaning staff threw personal items on the floor. It also takes a very long time to get to the city centre by train. This hotel is definitely way too expensive for this bad location and such bad rooms and conditions. If you want to have fun in Amsterdam you better go to any other hotel. The host didn't respond to any calls and messages we sent him until today.

At the night the receptionists are wonderful, but the women of the day... very xenophobic, they look at you with contempt if you don't speak the language well, there's no phone in the rooms that pay the mostra big room, there's no couples' bed, and they've forbidden me to dry my hair, because they said I've spent a lot of energy. And never the room stay warm.

We booked a small double room for one night. Small it really is in this case, which was absolutely fit for purpose in our case as we’d travelled to Amsterdam to attend a wedding, so stayed there to sleep only 🙂 The room was spotless and the interior welcoming! The staff is super friendly, be it during the check in or breakfast. The breakfast is in buffet form with plenty of bread, croissants, cheese etc to choose from! We enjoyed our stay, thank you very much for making it that pleasant!

The hotel was really far away from the city centre. The staff allocated us a room with people inside. It was really shocking for us to open a room with people in it. The lights suddenly offed by itself and we had to go down to ask the staff for help. It was a nightmare!

Hotel was a disaster to deal with during the pandemic. So so extremely rude, unhelpful and actually straight out laughed at our misfortune. Find somewhere else to stay. THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS HOTEL ARE STRAIGHT UP TERRIBLE PEOPLE. I wish I had the conversations recorded because it was truly awful.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is a little bit far away from the city centre but a tram station is nearby so it very accessible. The hotel is in a little shopping district (supermarkets, restaurants etc. are close). Parking is free so that is definitely a big plus. CHECKIN The Check-in was a little bit troubling as the receptionist said she has just the booking for one room. After mentioning Booking.com 3-4 times she found the other one too. It was not crowded or full and usually the reception should prepare the arrivals at least a day before. But she was nice and answered all the questions we has in a professional way. ROOM The room itself was quite small but that is their style. Therefore it is cheap so I can't say anything against it. The rooms have little safes and their own themes as a wallpaper. Each room also tells some facts and things that are nice to know (all about the city you are staying at in our case it was "Moskau") A nice little light at the stairs in the room made it easier in the night to go to the bathroom! Good one! The bathroom was so so. Our toilet seat was a little bit loose but it did not matter to us. Something I super dislike (and somehow many hotels are having this style) is the shower cabin. The water is always running out of the cabin so we needed many shower mats to dry the floor. The cabin itself was spacious enough but it didnt keep the water in. BREAKFAST The breakfast was okay but not really satisfying. The bread tasted old and wasn't fresh. Maybe from the day before. Not many options. They had some fruits which came out of a box and were not freshly cut. Some yoghurts and juices made us happier in the end. SERVICE They offer bikes to rent (16 Euros per bike per day) if I remember correctly. Thats very nice but in the end more expensive than taking the tram for 24 hours (which was around 8,50). I would recommend it still (or maybe taking e scooters?) The hotel also sells drinks and even gives free snacks away! Super cool and great idea !! CHECK-OUT The checkout was easy and simple. We gave them our parking ticket and they gave us the exit ticket. All in all it was a good stay but some things could be a little bit better to make the stay more enjoyable.

Stayed here November 2022. Lovely design and great prices however unfortunately this is where the niceties stop. Keeping this factual: my issues are: - A non-working (dummy) thermostat - Passive aggressive notes everywhere (I.E. you are a high maintenance person if you want a clean towel, or if you are wanting clean bedsheets you are ruining their ‘canals’) - No soap in room, a sink is provided in the bed area and you have shampoo and body wash in a small tube but no soap is provided. - The bedsheets were fresh however the other soft furnishings were not. I grabbed a cushion and it smelled like another person. Disgusting. I don’t expect the cushions to be cleaned but at least the covers. - No USB outlets. Not a major criticism as it is a budget hotel however useful to know. - WiFi provided was good. - Reception staff were lovely and polite and offered a luggage storage service. - Room was cold and heating didn’t work, thermostat was fake. Lovely location however I would only ever stay here again based on the price. A think a bit of prudence around their marketing and PR would help grow this business.

Very cool hostel, the people were really helpful and professional, it's a bit far from the center of Amsterdam but by bike that's 20min and it's next to a tram stop that bring you at the central Station. The room was bigger that expected and very calm even if it's next to the road! Thanks for this trip!

We loved the location. Very easy to catch tram 17 into the city and 369 bus to and from the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable and a decent size for us. Would definitely stay there again if I returned to Amsterdam. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked like a decent selection. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Was pleasantly surprised with how nice this hotel was. Location was a bit outside the city but not an issue as the trams run right outside of it. Bedroom and bathroom was very tidy and above all else, the staff were very friendly. Bike rental was available in the hotel and was reasonably priced. I will probably stay there again when I am next in Amsterdam

Staff are friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the smell of the room we had and we were given a new room right away. Location is good - surrounded by restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The tram stop (#17) is just behind the hotel and is about 30 mins to central. This hotel also provides free parking and is about 17mins drive to central. Will stay here again.

Small but affordable hotel with nice staff. It’s great that they have an option to have breakfast at the hotel and that you get to park for free. To get into the city center you have to take the tram for about 30min.

I was not satisfied in general during my stay at this hotel. I could not use the internet in at all, when I asked about it, I was told that there was a problem with I phone devices I have never had such experience before.. All the staff were very nice and helpful except Andrea at the reception desk. I could not get an answer to any of my questions and in general her behavior and approach was very rude. In my opinion people who work at hospitality industry should be more careful and do their job with love.

Hi Citiez Hotel Amsterdam, Good Evening Firstly I would Like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. I have had such an amazing experience for the First Time I have been to Amsterdam and to be honest the Hotel made just part of that experience come True. Please can I say a massive thank you to all the Hotel Staff to the Reception Team, Catering Team, and Housekeeping team you have all been amazing from the moment I first checked in to the Hotel. The Room I was staying in was clean and tidy from the beginning to the End and to the House Keeping team Thank you from my understanding they attended to my room 2 x across my Stay. With regards to my room I could not seem to get my TV to work but to honest I am not to worried about that as I did not seem to know how to work this properly any way and most of my stay was not in my Hotel Room. Thank you for surprise bottle of Champagne and the lovely decorations in the Glasses. 1 of my light did not work in the bathroom but this did not effect any of my stay at all. I would like to say thank you to the reception Team also for booking me a Cab to the Airport so I am have a comfortable Trip back to the Airport so I can get back home. The Staff at this hotel and really helpful and friendly and considerate Even down got getting me an envelope so I can safely store my UK SIM card till I get back to the UK. We can't forget the Breakfast and how amazing the food is especially when this is the most important Meal of the Day so I keep my self Full and not hungry for the day ahead. Overall I would like to say Thank you again for such an amazing stay and i will definitely will be returning to this Hotel in the near future and to explore the things in Amsterdam I did not get time to see till next year 2024. Excellent hotel, room is clean and comfort, staff is very kind and helpful, location is great, the bus station is very close and it's only 7 min to the city center, many shops and restaurantsaround, a lovely lake nearby to stroll and relax, I liked everything about the hotel and would love to stay there again.

We had a great stay at Citiez Hotel. The service was very good, especially Átila, who made our stay perfect, giving us good recommendations and taking care of everything, making sure we had a great time. And also the manager (I forgot to ask his name) was very professional and friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was very good, you can take a bus from the airport that goes straight to the hotel, also the trams. There are good food options in the neighborhood such as the meden east restaurant, a Taco Bell and McDonald's and a few supermarkets. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

The staff welcomed us very friendly and they’re multingual. Communicating in English is no problem if you don’t know Dutch. It’s located directly at the Tram station Oostdorp West which you can directly reach eather from the Centraal Station or from Slotherdijk. If you’re coming from Sloterdijk you have to take the metro to Lelylaan and then change to tram 17. If you come from Centraal you can directly take the tram 17. One of the employees told us to take the tram to Leidseplein. From there you can directly walk into the city towards Centraal with the beautiful streets and all the Grachten ( canals). The hotel is in the middle of a commercial area with lots of shops, also 2 supermarkets such as Albert Heijn and Lidl aa well as lots of Halal food options. Very very recommended. The rooms are very cozy and clean and the amenities are really good. You even have your own capsule coffee machine so that you can have even a nice cuppa in the comfort of your own room.

Great location, just about 15-20 minutes by public bus from Schiphol Airport and then a 5 minute walk. The room was very clean and efficient, even though it was not very large it served the purpose for 1 night. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and assisted me with a lost item at the airport. Thanks for all the support

We arrived at Citiez hotel to a very warm welcome. The hotel is located in a shopping area so great place to get anything else you need. The reception has a bar area with a range of beers and wines in a cosy atmosphere. Our room was compact but had everything we needed for a short stay city break and each room was named after a city - ours was Vienna. We had the breakfast downstairs the next morning and that hit the mark with a good range of options. The tram stop to get in to central Amsterdam was less than a minutes walk and that made getting in to town so easy! Above all what struck us most about this place was the staff, each one spoke good English and could not do enough to help. We would definitely use this hotel again for our next stay in Amsterdam!

The rooms are very tiny, but they have all you need. All in all it’s a very cute and clean Hotel!

Overall a very nice hotel, and good value. Friendly and helpful staff, we had a bit of an issue with our room but sorted and upgraded to a slightly bigger room. The standard rooms are very tiny there is no space for walking but still we slept really well. Very good buffet breakfast with a wide variety of ingredients to enjoy. Location was a plus for us, half way between the Airport and the city centre. 15m away from Schiphol Airport and 30m away from Central Amsterdam.

Good Hotel next to tram 17 stop. Breakfast buffet with 11 euro can be added. One must check if the room is suitable for one person or couple.

I planned a last minute trip to Amsterdam and found the Citiez Hotel via a third party booking site. The staff and hotel exceeded every expectation I had. The smart double room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and provided assistance whenever I asked. I purchased the hotel breakfast 2 of the 3 mornings and found it to be fresh and well stocked. Many traditional Dutch breakfast items. While the hotel is a ways from city centre and many common tourist destinations the reality is that the efficient transit system shrinks this distance and makes it more than I would recommend the Citiez Hotel and would stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights. Nice rooms, super staff! I made a major mistake on my reservation, got my dates mixed up. Sophi, Reni and their manager were incredibly helpful. They were able to find me a room and fixed my reservation! Super close to the tram to get to city central. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼

Lovely hotel. Small but very clean. Tram just outside. Only downfall is the entrance was a bit difficult to find. (Shop side near next to the toy store)

We've spent here only one night when passing Amsterdam by car. Huge plus for having a big parking lot next to the hotel. The stuff was super nice and helpful and made our short stay very pleasant. Minus goes for lack of sink in the bathroom.

  • 4/5 Adrian C. 1 year ago on Google
Room is quite small and even though there is a tram that gets you straight to the train station, location is a bit far from the center (~40 min) if you can't take that tram. However, the people are really nice, it's possible to rent bikes, and it's cheaper than in the center

We chose the smallest double bed room which was great for a quick visit to Amsterdam. Parking was super convenient if you travelledby car! The hotel is located in a shopping district, so public transport is easily accessible. The staff were super friendly.

This review will stay until the matter has been finally resolved. This hotel is suffering from a lot of leakages, as confirmed by the host's/owner's employees. Due to this leakage my property got damaged and the owner is refusing to pay me back. He is basically ignoring me now, and not taking any form of responsibility or accountability. The whole situation has been seen and reviewed by 3 other employees, they have seen the leakage and the damage. Got pictures and footages to show and prove all of this of course.

I stayed here back in March and forgot to write a review on Google! The staff were amazing and the hotel is very clean with a calm atmosphere. It was my birthday the day we arrived and they'd put loads of balloons and two lovely chocolate bars on the bed which was just the loveliest touch and my birthday all that more special 🥰

We used this hotel for a quick crash. The reviews looked amazing, the area looked cool, the pictures looked beautiful. All in all, it's a good crash place. Rooms are small, but very clean. The staff has been super friendly. Now, what we weren't told about was the see through bathroom/shower/toilet wall. Traveling with family I did not feel this was very appropriate for us. The description says "private bathroom" not very private if I can see them 🤦‍♀️. Then coming in there is a step down into the room, that noone said anything about. It wouldn't have been so bad except you need to use your key card to turn on the lights which is part the step down & down the wall. So safety light, nothing. That was not fun to discover. Just wish we were warned. Great crash pad, maybe not for families lol 🤷🏽‍♀️

While the rooms appear very compact at first sight, they are very well organised and we quickly felt at home. Great shower and everything else worked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices excellent and dining room pleasant. Staff also helpful with directions to Amsterdam Centraal. Easy as long as you remember number 17.

  • 5/5 Daniel W. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel itself is a bit of an experience - the combination of funky design and architecture throughout the building (the narrowest bedrooms I have known) to incorporate a fresh and not clostrophobic feel to them. It's not walking distance to main Amsterdam central but the trams will take a round trip until around midnight and takes around half an hour to get into the centre. Staff friendly and polite. The breakfast looked good but opted for the ethic food just around the corner during our stay. Reception kept clean and apart from the very pricey drinks counter, was very good value for money. Would recommend to a friend or more flexible travellers as you have to climb into beds from the bottom...

Nice & clean hotel strategically located in Amsterdam. The city centre is only a 25minute tram ride away. Staff members are very friendly and always willing to help. The hotel also offers free parking for those driving to Amsterdam!

Booked via Groupon on a mini break. For a such a cozy room, there was tons of room for suitcases, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were incredible and helpful and it was literally around the corner from the tram and a great grocery store. Such a great little find!

  • 5/5 Dave G. 1 year ago on Google
Although the rooms are small they are spotlessly clean the staff are very friendly and helpful bus from airport 3 euros drops you 2 mins away 369 bus also tram is 2 mins which goes straight to Amsterdam central very convenient. DONT get a taxi from the airport you will be wasting a lot of money it is only 15 mins by bus !

Pretty hotel with rooms having names of cities of the world. 24/7 coffee shop/snack counter is at the reception. Neatly maintained. The staff are very nice and friendly. Tram 17 is very convenient to city centre, takes approximately 25-30 minutes. Lots of food options around. I'll call the rooms to be compact, they are pretty small in size, but have all the necessary amenities.

  • 4/5 Katrina P. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. All the staff were super nice and very accommodating. Their rooms are cozy and kept clean. The hotel is 30 minutes away from the city center. We take Tram 17 every time we need to go back and forth to the city center. But the location of this hotel also has a shopping area with a wide variety of food options as well. The room has a TV (ours was broken though) and a Nespresso machine with unlimited bullet (coffee capsule, whichever you call it) which you can request from the reception area. They also offer breakfast for about 11€. All in all, when you want to have a relaxing and affordable stay in Amsterdam, I recommend this place for you.

Me and my partner stayed in one of the small double rooms while visiting Amsterdam for our long weekend trip (Thurs-Sun). The room was perfect for what we needed as we spend most of our time out exploring and don’t get back till late. The room was clean and tidy, and air con works great. The number 17 tram is about 3mins away, taking you in to the city in about 25mins, we bought the two day pass for the tram. Loads of little shops downstairs tho, including H&M, pharmacy, and a liddl about 2mins away. Staff are lovely and welcoming, and the cafe has a great vibe to it. You also can get your parking validated so it was free, rather than costing us €75.

Its a small nice hotel in a great location. Its surrounded and in the middle of a shopping area where you have supermarkets, fast food, restaurants and other shops. Its next to tram 17, which will take you to directly to the central station. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Attila, Andrea and Amie. They serve a nice breakfast. You can also go to the airport by taking the tram and then changing to another local train. The rooms are smaller but worth it for the warmth, convenience and experience. #amsterdam #travel #amsterdamcity

Nice small hotel situated right in the middle of a shopping centre, half hour away from centraal, reception/bar is open 24 hours but shopping centre closes down by 6.30, quiet hotel and very comfy beds but basic room.

Amazing place to stay and two minute walking from the tram. Without no doubt I would stay here again. Also the cheapest you can find near Amsterdam.

Very convenience location for transportation to and from airport, with plenty places to eat and shop. Each room has an unique name for each of the city in the world. Room size is small, I mean really small just enough to get in but have all facilities the hotel suppose to have, Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommend to stay

Myself and my partner had an amazing stay at this hotel, the room was a good size and very comfortable. The location was perfect as it was quick and easy to travel into the centre of Amsterdam, but also the area itself was lovely had an everything we needed. I cannot fault the staff at this hotel, they provided excellent customer service and were extremely attentive to our every need. We would definitely stay here again upon our return to Amsterdam
