Great room, lots of other aspects need work. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: + gorgeous rooms, tastefully decorated with incredible views. Very modern feel. + friendly staff +well located for metro Cons: - Make you check in on an ipad and magnetise your own room key. No one wants to put all their details into an online form manually after a long journey, especially with a member of staff watching you do it. I would understand if this was a hostel, but not at this price point. - Terrible pillows! I have maybe stayed in 100 hotels on business and these are the worst. They are giant and solid, it's like trying to sleep with 3 normal pillows or a sofa cushion under your head. I also have a big head so not sure how a smaller person would get on! - No food! Restaurant and breakfast not currently available and not a lot nearby - Didn't make up the room in the day Offering this as free feedback, as I know they've just opened.

We stayed here for 7 days To start the best thing about this hotel is the location. The metro station is really close. There is a good convenience store close to it. The area is really nice and quiet after midnight unless your room is facing the railways. The staff are so nice and welcoming. Hotel rooms are not sound proof. You can hear all the noises in the next room. Housekeeping isn't so great. Some days they never come although we asked for it every day when checked in. The breakfast is very light. It is good for grab and go. They serve great coffee. If you need anything from the front desk or reception, use either your phone or go directly to them as there is no phone in the room. The room temperature seems to be unified and it is based on outside weather conditions. On the weekends if there is an event in the hotel with loud music, you will hear it in your room like you are in the event. The parking garage is very close the the hotel entrance. Overall, it is an average hotel and maybe you can find a 3 star hotel with better things. It is good if you are staying for 1-3 nights.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We were surprised with rose petals on our bed. Jay and the rest of the staff were great! Metro to the center is fast, easy, and runs often. Delicious breakfast! We will be back!!

It was a great experience sleeping in this clean and modern hotel. I really enjoyed the rooftop bar and the cocktails I got at it. The room was very modern also. The TV had a phone streaming ability which made it easy to watch YouTube on there. Breakfast and dinner in their downstairs restaurant was very nice also, although maybe a bit expensive.

This hotel has changed the owner so not sure how google/booking.com is allowed to use the same good ratings. And I was in the previous hotel in 2020 and it was very good. Currently - where to start: no lobby, no breakfast, iron on 6th floor 1 for the whole hotel. My room wasnt cleaned properly, I have arrived and there were euro coins left around. No slippers, no bathrobe. This is not a 4 star hotel unfortunately - there was no decent coffee to have. Staff helpful but really a hostel stuff and not really able to fix all the issues I had. I felt really cheated by opinions which were linked to a new establishment.

Honestly one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room was perfect and clean. They even welcome you with a free chocolate and drinks which was very cute. We landed into Amsterdam abit early and our check in was at 3pm luckily the women front desk was happy to let us in at 12pm. Their bar section was very nice and had most drinks to offer and drinks. Their shower gel was so good and nice smelling. They also have vending machine outside the room in case people want extra snacks or something. Definitely will come Back and stay again at this hotel.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and left this morning. The location is amazing. 2 min walk from the station which takes you everywhere you need to be. The room was good, not very clean which is a no no from us. We originally got given a room which still had someone staying in, woman on reception sorted it asap even tho we was before our check in time. No problem. This hotel is not very sociable. No one says morning, or evening. We left this morning, no one thanked us for our stay. Everything is done on iPads. The hotel is very picture perfect with a floor with free coffee and tea. 7/10.

Less than 5 minutes walk from the nearest train station, good location. Only a small supermarket (open from 8am to 10pm) and McDonald's nearby. There are no supermarkets nearby. The rooms are clean, the amenities are lean. There is just shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There is only a hair dryer, a kettle, glasses, and mugs. No other amenities. The speakers in the room are Marshall ones and you can listen to music via Bluetooth. Sounds are so good!! Breakfast on the base floor is the same menu every day, but it is good taste and atmosphere. At night it becomes a bar that is open until 3:00 am. The only main menu of food at night is pizza. The staff are all friendly and kind. They are always smiling. If you can understand that it is a lean hotel, this hotel is totally GOOD.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a long weekend and I have to say it was the best hotel experience I have ever had. Although I didn't get any photos of the interior, the website is completely accurate of how it looks in real life. The staff are so friendly and we even got a slightly better room as the employee recognised my partner from a previous trip. The room was immaculate and we'll equipped with technology to ensure you don't have to leave the bed. In regards to the food, the restaurant was amazing and the breakfast we had was to die for. Would highly recommend everyone stays here for themselves 10/10

QO Hotel doesn’t exist any more. The new name is Ruby Emma Hotel & Bar. For me, it is totally a scam that it is still allowed to book rooms under the name of QO.

This hotel is not the same place anymore! I do not know QA but Ruby Emma has the worst communication! Strict, rude not helpful, and just tell you that it has been 2,5 years and it is highly probable to have covid! They do not care about changeable policy! They do not answer their phones at all and wait for an answer for at least 3-4 days and again no answer! No two way communication but they are really responsive while they are charging you!

We stayed for 3 nights at Ruby Emma Hotel on our trip to Amsterdam. We were really happy with the room and the services they provided. Some of the highlights of our stay were - The hotel were only a few stops away from the old Amsterdam area. The rooms were all new and clean. All the lights and window pane were controlled by a bedside iPad. The bar and restaurant downstairs make great pizzas and salad. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam for a reasonable price.

Easy to recommend hotel with great links to Amsterdam central and also with the airport. We loved our stay here and thought the service was excellent. The room was also fantastic boasting a lot of fancy gadgets such as closing the blinds using an iPad and a hot tap in the hallways. The reason for 4* is due to the price of breakfast. My partner and I ate out for breakfast due to it being priced at €22 each per night!! Although it looked great and tasty that would be nearly €50 for a couple just for breakfast. Overall I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough though and will be recommending to friends and family. Just advising them to consider eating out for breakfast.

One of the best hotels we stayed at. Everything was perfect! They had speaker in the rooms which worked seamlessly and all amenities you might need (except for slippers and gowns). The service was great as well. We were exchausted from our night bus and just wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel but the friendly staff told us that we could already check-in (it was 10am). The check-in and check-out were all in a "do-it-yourself" and modern style. The location was also very great (subway 3min walk away). The only complaint my girlfriend had, was that the light in the bathroom was not bright enough which made putting on make-up harder. All in all though, a very good hotel which I could definitely recommend!

Amazing hotel, probably the best we've stayed in and we always book at the same price point (mid-range) Really impressive and generously sized room with amenities to make you feel really comfortable. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The Hotel has an arrangement with the gym across the road (literally 20 meters away) for casual gym passes which was super handy. Only downside is the location, it isn't actually bad it just isn't super close to city center. Still very convenient, just not much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Didn't negatively affect our stay whatsoever.

Good hotel in a quiet area of Amsterdam. Not far away from a metrostation. The hotel is operated with minimum staffing levels, and the check-in is done self-service with computers. The rooms are on a smaller size, but the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are equipped with a toilet and a shower unit. The shower unit has a see-through glass door, which is a bit strange. One would have expected a mix of milky glass on the bottom half of the door. The room has tea facilities, but not any coffee making equipment. Parking is done in a garage under the hotel for which one needs to download an app to register and to open and close the garage doors. The parking is not cheap.

Even though our original room didn't have hot water, the staff was quick on their feet to offer us another room on the top floor which was a really amazing upgrade. The view from both rooms was really great and the atmosphere by itself was something else entirely. I'd recommend including the breakfast with your stay as it is crazy good value

Great brand new hotel in 5 min proximity to metro which makes cruising to the center and airport easy. Big, nicely decorated rooms with kinky Amsterdam vibe 😁 see through shower cabin..

Myself and my husband stayed here for 3 nights in October while we both ran the Amsterdam marathon. Hotel was spotless, quiet and ideal location between central and the Olympic stadium. Lots of facilities to make coffee, and a great general store around the corner. 3 min walk to the metro. We worked remotely on one day and WiFi was super speedy. Overall, just a perfect stay, it was so quiet and comfortable. Perfect spot to relax before and after the event. We’ll definitely be back to stay again!!

Our room was spacious with a beautiful view of the city and the river. The feeling inside the room is modern but cozy, and the staff are friendly and patient! Serena helped us with a request I had, and was so welcoming and kind in the process. We will definitely stay here again!

Lean is the key word here. There’s a lack of quality overall. This hotel is outside the city, with a view to a parking lot and a McDonald’s. The rooms are ok, but oddly, you sleep next to the bathroom lavatory. Internet in the room didn’t work all week. The staff isn’t that accommodating and helpful. But they are nice. Housekeeping didn’t show up most of the days I was there. The breakfast is expensive for Europe, and just average at best. At the end of the day, for the price you pay it’s not that great. Might as well pick something in the city center. Without the word “Lean” in their marketing. I travelled for work, and our group all agreed that next time we will stay somewhere else.

The QO Hotel in Amsterdam is a very neat one. The staff is incredibly kind and polite. Parking here is absolutely no problem. Beforehand you get asked to send your license plate, so that when you arrive, the parking lot underneath the hotel is already accessible to you. The rooms are laid out with very easy to use technology. Via an iPad, you can shut the blinds, turn on the TV, change anything (volume, channel) on the TV, turn the lights on in 4 different styles (tv time, relaxation, relaxation & bathroom and bright light), order room service and order extras and refills. The breakfast was plenty and beautifully made up. The service during breakfast and dinner was great and they wouldn't let you fall short. I am very pleased with the looks of the hotel, the staff, the service and the room. I hope to come back here another time, and I surely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel and great service! My brother stayed for a long weekend at the Ruby Emma and loved his stay. Would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend. Location was perfect, with only a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station. Rooms are modern and clean, we particularly enjoyed being able to control the room via the iPad provided. Food and drink provided was also great. The hotel bar has a wide range of cocktails and the staff are all extremely friendly, Tom (who worked behind the bar) was particularly attentive and great company whilst we enjoyed our drinks. The check in and out process is all self service, making it all extremely straight forward and convenient. Perfect place to base yourself for your trip to Amsterdam!

It could not be better. The Rooms are so amazing and staff is so nice. We read some comments about sound prof and noise but in our case we feel the room pretty quiet, just the noise of the raining against the building. Breakfast is also pretty good, maybe I would like to have scrambled eggs and beicon. Coffee it’s simply delicious. Location is also perfect, close to the metro and in 10-15 min you get at central station. McDonald’s it’s in front of the hotel in case you need.

Great Location as right next to the Metro station which takes 10-15mins into Amsterdam Central. The Rooms were very nice and the beds were so spacious and comfy. Great Hotel and would definitely stay there again when back in Amsterdam

A brilliant hotel. I love the attention paid to the industrial heritage of the area when designing and decorating the hotel. Very clean, with modern technology present everywhere, but a focus on sustainability too. Breakfast was also excellent, with a focus on healthy, locally sourced foods and good coffee.

Calm and serene situated hotel with very close proximity to the metro station, this hotel is awesome place to stay. Accommodation is comfortable and pleasant with courteous staff. Food is good and of quality with restaurant offering view of metro trains, passing by people, road and cars. You could walk around with a furniture and grocery store just around the corner. Loved the place and environment.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are automated and they have extremely efficient sustainability model. For any musicians booking this hotel, not only do you get an amazing speaker to connect your music to but they also have guitars you can request to jam in your room!

Location was perfect - quiet which is wonderful from the business in the actual central. And less than 20m via Metro to the Centraal. Room was clean except the odd hair on the headboard and the bed and pillows not being so comfy. I forgot to take any photos of the room but very spacious and came with a free bottle of water. The bathtub was a dream, and was nice that the shower came with built-in shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We could also stream from our phones/ipad on the TV which is great! The blackout outdoor blinds were cute too. Also love the idea of the communal seating area on our floor (floor 2) called The Gallery that had an ironing board, vending machine, and a hot/cold filtered water tap with assortment of teas. Me and my partner only stayed 3days, 2nights and we chose no cleaning of the room so scored two free drinks from the hotel as we chose the more eco-friendly option. When we got the drinks from the bar downstairs - Sarah and Charlie were super friendly and a great chat. Thanks so much! We’ll be coming again soon!

Beautiful modern hotel exactly what you want for a city like Amsterdam, only a 10 minute metro away from central and Spaklerweg where it’s situated is beautiful too. Good staff and a rule where if you let the maids only clean you room every 3 days you get a free drink at the bar! Had a brilliant Marshall speaker in the room which saved me the trouble of bringing my own too, Will definitely be back!

Modern hotel, control the hotel using iPad. The room is great with great view, quiet and comfortable. I love the soft bed! However, there’s no heated towel rack, so customer could not dry small stuff. There’s a gym room, free and convenience. Hotel people is very kind. The dining room is great too, food is wonderful!

  • 5/5 Bella G. 3 years ago on Google
One of the best hotels I have been in so far. The comfort of the beds was unbelievable. For breakfast everything was prepared fresh and all vegetables included were local or even from their terrace on the highest floor - amazing experience to stay in this hotel! 100% recommended!✨

Amazing hotel with a great concept. All hotels should look up to this one. Sustainability is their priority in every sense. Staff was lovely and the food was great. Cocktails in the bar were top notch! I am just deeply saddened that they are not admitting small dogs, that’s really weird. Otherwise I would come here much more often

Great room, they have just opened so everything is new and connected (Marshall amp + iPad remote controller) Tv is huge, the shower as well. Love the vibe of the room, and people are super nice. They even offer some muffins and cereal bars in the morning as there is no bar / restaurant yet. It just need a few adjustments and this will be awesome. The neighborhood is also under construction, but it’s very close from the subway station :)

My husband and I were welcomed by a very warm hearted friendly staff. Who all made us feel at home. Also the stay was super comfortable and only 10 min by metro to central station. One part of the hotel including the bar and restaurant were under renovation but there was no disturbance or noise. Beautiful hotels are made a great experience if you have a great team on board. So kudos to the team! Love Ashhab and Samreen ❤️🎉

The hotel was insanely good for its price. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfy and spacious. The bath was pretty big, as well as the shower. The staff were very nice and helpful with questions. There is a nearby metro station 3-4 minutes away by feet. Any metro from there goes to Centraal Station in like 10 minutes. Connections were really good

Serena at the Ruby Emma Hotel welcomed my partner and I to the hotel and made us feel at home. She allowed us to check-in earlier than expected, guided us to our rooms, and helped carry our luggage. The rooms are spacious and stylish with a wonderful view of the outer suburbs of Amsterdam! Can recommend :)

A very nice hotel in a convenient location (4 train stops to the very center of Amsterdam). Everything is really new here and on a 2022 standard. I slept in the loft room on the 16th floor and had a great stay. Thank you 🤩👍🏻

Room was super clean and very nice i loved the experience! Thanks for the treats in the room! You guys rock !

A great self check-in hotel with thoughtful attention to detail. If you need the team, they're lovely, otherwise you can easily not interact with them. The bar staff make a great cocktail and have a wonderful selection of beers, wines and spirits. If you're looking for something out of the main tourist area, this is perfect for solo, friend or family travel and great value.

  • 5/5 Hylke H. 4 years ago on Google
Much liked the room and design of the hotel. Reception a bit slow and breakfast wasn't great (some items pre cooked and hence not freshest). So 5 stars in the context of a fair room rate. Roof top bar is very good

  • 4/5 Jonathan R. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel is is in a good location and staff are very friendly and helpful, however I found out that full 3 night payment had been taken from my credit card 6 hour prior to check in. This was not a holding payment this was actually full payment. I understand that hotels need to cover themselves, however a holding charge to ensure that first night is covered is sufficient. I actually paid the full rate for the suite and not a reduced early payment rate.

Great hotel, rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean. You can even rent a guitar and use one of the amps the have in there if your so inclined. The staff were amazing too especially Thomas and Jay. They helped us get checked in, talked to us about the hotel and gave us a few tips on where to go around the city. I couldn't have felt more welcomed, will definitely be back.

Great stay at the Ruby Emma hotel and thank you to Rosa, Martina, Cop, Sammy, Nicky, Elena and Alina for a hospitable vacation. The rooms are a bit small, not a lot of room service options and housekeeping is slow but the hotel is in a nice location, helpful staff and good distance from the main city. Would definitely come back to stay here.

  • 3/5 Nisha G. 10 months ago on Google
Location is convenient for commuting into Amsterdam centraal but not much around the hotel We spent three nights here and the staff were friendly if there was a need to interact. However outside of this there isn’t much of an interaction so customer experience is pretty average Self check in hotel which is easy but the room was disappointing if you are not a couple. The sink is in the room and super small. Can barely brush your teeth! The shower room has a see through door - lack of privacy if you aren’t a couple! Out of the entire experience breakfast was really disappointing! No hot food in the selection! Considering the price paid for the hotel, I was expecting a better selection. If you are vegetarian (including no eggs) it was even worse as all you could eat is bread! I only recommend this hotel for business travel..
