Did not meet our expectations. We stayed in the hotel at the end of January They put us in a room at the end of the hall on the second floor. The room was very cold and the thermostat would not allow us to set it high enough to warm up the room sufficiently. The bathroom had no heating vents and it was as cold as a meat locker. The bed is two small beds pushed together. We like to snuggle in bed especially when it is cold which was impossible. The front desk staff ranged from almost friendly to down right snooty. We drove a car to the hotel and the parking was impossible. We arrived late and tired to the hotel after a full day out in the country to find no parking available at the hotel. The desk staff was aloof and uninterested in our plight. He finally referred us to an off site parking garage that charged 50 euro per night. The location is terrific the experience in the hotel is not

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! The reservations team is utterly useless, rude and unhelpful. I had a holiday booked and due to the lockdown and restrictions we wanted to just alter the dates of the booking. We were willing to pay an amendment fee but they simply REFUSED TO HELP US! We did not want our money back but just purely to change the dates which would be at no cost to them. I called front desk and they said this shouldn't be a problem and understood but when speaking to the reservations team - specifically Lea - she refused to help us. I am extremely disappointed in the way in which this matter was dealt with. No compassion or understanding even though it would be at no cost to them. They said they would call me back to see if it was possible and I have received no such call. I urge you NOT to book this hotel as customer service is useless and rude.

We stayed at Park Centraal for two weeks and found it a warm and welcome home away from home. The location is central, served by many tram lines and within walking distance to most major sites. The room was clean, and spacious. Perhaps the best feature was the staff which went out of their way to meet our needs and always with a smile. The bar staff were also lovely. I would return gladly and highly recommend to all.

While the property is located at a very busy intersection, the exterior of the building is still imposing and makes a good first impression. Same goes with the lobby, with a nice bar and pool table on each side of the entrance, and a warm front desk space with caring agents. Past that point, some issues arise with regard to the standing of the hotel. Both elevators have missing hand bars in their cabin, with the protruding screws begging to poke our daughter's scalp. The room itself is nice overall, but shows some aging or lack of care: ventilation grids hanging sideways, curtain falling off its rail, lamp shades leaning off their axle, and worst of all a quite moldy shower ceiling. Not a bad property at all, but it ought to be much better at that price point.

The place itself is nice if you get the right room, breakfast was really good but there is unfortuantely nothing worse than having belongings go missing from your room when staying abroad (one of my images literally shows the item that went missing - although i was told it must not have been in my room...). Staff seemingly picked their favourites and only those people got a decent level of service (less noticeable when you're not staying with a large group, half of whom get different service levels to the other). After travelling alone for several hours I just wanted to get some rest and didn't really feel like having to prove my worthiness to be treated without contempt but maybe if I'd have been more outgoing during check in I might have had a better stay.

Location is fairly central - you will reach the core of the city centre in about 20 minutes by foot. It is located next to Vondelpark. Lobby is dark but looks great, but if you look closely, there are lots of things (and especially in the rooms) wearing off already. Walls, furniture, floors, stairs have damages. Our room was tiny with shower and toilet cabins (with glass walls) right next to the bed. Thankfully my partner and I are comfortable with each other, so this was not a huge issue for us, but it still does not feel right to go to the toilet right next to the bed. The room was not very clean. The bed cover had stains on it, the carpet was dirty and overall it just did not seem clean. Staff seemed nice but were more interested in having a chat between each other. We often went by staff without them looking at us for even greeting us. Late check-out can only be confirmed on the day of departure and is 10€ per hour which is expensive. You have to pay 50€ per night as a deposit upon your arrival. We will not return to this hotel and probably would not recommend it.

This hotel is beautiful and great location. I had a deluxe room that had many small issues. The bed and bedding were great, it was spacious, clean, great amenity kits and shampoo, body wash, etc. The issues were housekeeping wasn’t consistent, sometimes they made my bed.. sometimes they didn’t. The radio was broken.. I reported, it was never exchanged. The shower drain broke on the first day, never to be fixed during my 8-night stay. Despite it being visibly broken. Towels felt cheap… my bathroom had a odd vinegar smell.. water temperature was difficult to set, between scalding and lukewarm. Overall, I had a good stay but I’m giving it 4 stars for the lack of attention to details. I’d probably stay again for the value and location.

Gorgeous hotel, bar, staff and service. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease and loved the stunning decor and design of the hotel. Bubbles on arrival was a bonus with helpful advice about Amsterdam from Rosanna. Perfect location in the heart of the museum and fashion districts of Amsterdam. Everything you would want to see and do is in walking distance or an easy tram ride away. Also the hotel bar is fabulous and Kasper is one of the best bartenders around! Buffet breakfast was good but not much in the way of vegan options. Downside was a lack of flexibility to adapt a menu option to vegan friendly but this did not detract from the overall experience. Highly recommended and would 100% stay again!

There was glass on the floor of our room and my wife stepped on a small piece. We had booked a junior suite. The sitting error was very bare looking and the bathroom was very cramped and uncomfortable. Did not feel worth the price we paid. The website lists room service, but does not mention it comes from the bar instead of the restaurant. So it is a small selection of light snacks only. Staff was friendly and the location is great, but we will not be returning.

Our room was very nice, though small. We chose not to upgrade. Beds were comfortable and rooms quiet. The staff was excellent. Andre was so supportive when we needed help getting Covid tests scheduled before our cruise. He routed emails to his computer so we would have copies of items needed. The hotel is centrally located in the city. We do lots of walking during our trips so the location was perfect!

My husband and I enjoyed our 9 day stay at the Park Centraal - Amsterdam. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were pretty big for Europe, very clean, it is within reach to a lot of key spots. Every night when we would come back from our day out the bar staff would ALWAYS greet us with a HELLO! That made us feel invited. Lots of restaurants within reach. It was also very quiet and you would never know just outside of it was a very busy street. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I am conflicted by this hotel. The room itself looks very nice. The furniture is really nice. The bed was too hard in my opinion. The staff were nice. Just beware if you are booking on a 3rd party site, you need to pay a deposit upfront when you arrive, your city taxes will be deducted from. But it's a really stylish hotel with hard beds.

Great stay here, clean comfortable rooms. Only complaint, housekeeping seemed overwhelmed, and our room was not attended to till late in the day. Staff was friendly, especially the bartender/manager. Very engaging, and gave great recommendations!!

I am very appreciate to the owner of the hotel for his big heart and humanity, for hospitality and attentiveness in his hotels. We were in Hotel during several days. Hotel is located suitable to canals. From railway station it took us about 35 minutes by foot to get to the hotel. Friendly staff, at the reception they give information about the hotel and everything for refugees from Ukraine in Amsterdam. Special thanks for the delicious breakfast provided by the owner of the hotel for free. I wish owner of this the hotel to have many visitors, and, I hope we have the opportunity to stay next time for a fee 😊

Great location for walking! Short walk to the Rijksmuseum!! Totally amazing breakfast in the morning!! Staff all very helpful. Gorgeous bar in the lobby. It is located in a very energetic and vibrant section of town. Boat traffic, cars, and bikes all over!!

Hotel had a strange smell in the reception/lobby area. Very noisy area all throughout the nights as it is located right on a Main Street, so didn’t manage to get a good night sleep for the duration of our stay. Room was nice but the bed was fairly uncomfortable. Cleaning service seems to start very early and being in a room next door to the towel cupboard meant there was doors opening and closing all morning, so good luck with a lazy morning

My boyfriend booked here (2 nights) on booking.com which the price was 267 euro upon checking in we were told that there is a 200 euro deposit, double of what he should of paid (467 euro). There was no communication or any details about this online as we wouldn’t of booked here otherwise. The room itself was nice but there was dust all over the the coffee machine and sweets etc. checking out we were told that 187 euro will be returned to my boyfriend (in her words this was the deposit that was paid? When told 200 euro was paid she stated that city tax is taken out of it, yet on booking.com the 267 euro included the city tax, the woman also didn’t know how to “release” the deposit money but we should get it back in 5 working days in her words “because of brexit” (she thought we were from the UK) but an actual fact were Irish so it doesn’t affect us😂. I would be very careful about booking this hotel make sure you call up before booking because of the hidden charges

Very nice staff and excellent location with close proximity to good restaurants and bars. Meeting rooms nicely furnished and of varying sizes sufficient for our company to hold a 2 day seminar with both break out sessions and larger meetings. Lunch was also varied and of good quality.

Everything about this hotel is great. Check in and out was quick and easy, the staff were very friendly and offered to help with booking activities or transport if we needed it. The lobby is beautifully decorated and we found ourselves hanging out at the bar instead of our room when we had some free time. The room was great, well decorated, clean, and comfy beds. Not super important, but a nice touch: the shower was very nice. And it was a great location to explore the city, close to museums, restaurants, and several public transport stops. I really recommend this hotel for your next stay in Amsterdam.

Apart from a family member slipping on the stairs just outside the hotel, we had a pleasant stay at Park Centraal. The room was small but comfortable, clean and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Staff was helpful. Location was excellent for our purposes. The parking, booked via the Vicky app, was convenient, but there is not that much space in the parking garage; parking stalls are small-ish. I have a mid-size SUV and my car never felt so big.

This was our second time staying here. Decided to upgrade to the Junior Suite and was so worth it for the extra room. Staff was super friendly and the place was always clean. The lobby area is amazing. Easy access to the tram means getting around everywhere in Amsterdam in 15 mins or less. This is honestly the only hotel I will stay at in Amsterdam, I love it so much!

We had stayed in the Family Suite. It was very spacious with a large private bathroom with a beautiful shower with a rain fall shower head and a large soaking tub that can fit 2 for a romantic soak. The location is exceptional for the avid museum seeker. Located in the museum district it was a 5 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum and about a 10 minute walk to the Moco museum. Our view of the canal in front of the building was picturesque. The front desk staff was good however some had a difficult understanding English. The wife and I had stayed in our room during the afternoon downpour and had missed having our room cleaned. Later that evening around 7pm, I had asked the front desk to have housekeeping clean our room while we were out to dinner since we missed it earlier in the day. We came back around 11pm and the room was unfortunately not cleaned. The small fridge was used for the mini bar and could only hold a small amount of personally purchased items. We had to remove all the mini bar items from the fridge to be able to utilize it to keep dinner leftovers refrigerated, in the end it did not matter since the room did not have a microwave anyway. All in all, this was a great hotel for a great price for the size of the room.

Perfect stay in the heart of Amsterdam center. The hotel is designed as a high class boutique hotel. I loved it. The service was wonderful. The beds ar super comfortable. I really recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Amsterdam. I will come again for sure. Thank you very much.

Viking booked this hotel for our two day post excursion stay in Amsterdam. While the hotel location and staff are great, the hotel room was below standard for a four star hotel room. I would say it was more like a one or two star room at best. First, the area rug was completely worn and one can easily trip from it. The toilet and shower are separate and very tiny; they are smaller than most cruise ship's bathroom. When you step out the shower you are naked standing in the middle of the room. There is no separate light switch for the toilet or shower; if you need to use the toilet at night, you will wake up everyone in the room by turning on the light. Definitely interesting design! Finally, there wasn't enough table or closet space to put your necessary belongings. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel at all.

I reviewed this already. Place is the best place I've ever stayed at in Amsterdam. Highly recommend. Great service, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is delicious as well. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but I did not try it. I preferred trying the local places. Highly recommend!

Update to previous review post: Managers saw previous post and immediately responded personally. I admire their desire to reconcile their guests concerns. I still have my concerns, but I appreciate the fact that management took the initiative to make things right. That's particularly important in an upscale hotel like this. I upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars as a result of their care and consideration. Rooms: Nothing nospecial. No dresser storage. Facilities: Phones didn't work. Bar: Sloppy, Messy. Bartenders working on the evening of September 18th were careless. Good stuff: Classy ambiance. Warm and comfortable. Nice guest services people.

Friendly and accommodating staff, really comfortable beds, and great size rooms. This hotel was so stylish in the lobby and had a nice bar to relax at before or after dinner. The front desk staff was very helpful mapping out the best things to do and recommending restaurants. It was a great location to many places in Amsterdam but a bit of a walk to the center of the city (about 15 minutes).

  • 4/5 Rachel O. 6 months ago on Google
Very clean rooms and the very best location! You don’t want to spend your entire trip in city center; you want to stay out here so you can be close to it all - parks, lovely neighborhoods, best restaurants, etc. Beautiful lobby and hotel bar. Thin walls were a downfall and staff was moderately helpful. Listened to loud neighbors into the middle of the night.

I stayed there nights at the hotel in the classic room. First I really appreciate that they let me check in at 8 am since the room was ready. The room itself was very nice. Breakfast is one of the best, very delicious omelettes.

Really nice and accommodating staff. I had a long term stay (1 month) and they really went above and beyond to make it feel like home. Clean and stylish rooms. Only complaint was wifi was a spotty and unreliable which wasn't ideal for work. Also the MoMo restaurant was delicious!

I cut myself on a rusty screw while outside of a hotel, and had to receive a tetanus shot immediately. Fleur, Laura, Mauricio and Gabriela helped me immensely by contacting the GP and arranging the GP visit. All my gratitude goes out to these wonderful people for an outstanding help in a potentially dangerous situation, and Friday afternoon. Regarding the hotel, I can only warmly recommend it, as it is beautiful, cosy, very clean, and with a fantastic buffet.

Absolutely no complaints about our stay. Hotel was perfect and location is amazing. I highly recommend staying here. Close to all the museums and just a short walk from downtown. Great central area for everything. Room was very tidy and bathroom was large! The bar downstairs was very nice for a quick drink. Definitely recommending to all friends and family who want to visit.

I have stayed here every single trip I have made to Amsterdam. The front of the building and the foyer are just wow, very smart. I have stayed at the classic room, was good, had a nice bath tub. The deluxe room facing the canals, great views and also the duplex room, now that was two floors, mechanical adjustable bed just beautiful rooms. Lovely place to go back to and relax for another day of adventures Will be back on the 25th, cant wait

A clean and friendly hotel in the museum district of Amsterdam. Rooms were large and clean. Augustina the bartender was an absolute riot, comping one of my friends when she saw the photos of his room ( not in the hotel) and she even offered my daughter a job Only taking off one star from the slightly cheap upselling emails before we arrived offering us expensive upgrades

We were for 4 days. The hotel is excellently located close to many trains and a bus stop that comes directly from the airport. The service was great, the staff helped me solve a problem even after I left the hotel. Clean, cozy rooms, very nice hotel. Another thing, the gym is of a very high standard. Equipped with lots of devices that do not exist in many other hotels I have been to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at park central hotel. The staff were super friendly, the hotel is STUNNING! And the room was lovely and clean and tidy, only thing is the room was quite small which some people may not like but we was happy as we was only there to rest our heads. Would love to come back to the hotel.

Very nice hotel, comfortable and stylish. The rooms are well designed & decorated with high quality furniture (table, chair, lights) and also the Marshall premium quality Bluetooth speakers were a nice touch. I stayed there 2 times and every time the process of check-in/checkout was smooth, and service was great.

The hotel, locations, rooms, entrance, bar and restaurant were all fantastic. Super chic hotel with lovely quiet rooms. Aman was fantastic on our first day. He gave us some great recommendations of what to see, do and eat. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Amsterdam!

Our family loved our stay at the hotel. It's centrally located as well as situated next to a beautiful park. Short walk to the Rijksmuseum. And our kids enjoyed playing pool in the lobby. Will definitely return next time we are in Amsterdam!

The location is just amazing! Just hop out for busses and trams. Across the road from a lot of options to eat. One of the popular boat tour operators across the road and if nothing works they have their own bar and restaurant. The reception staff are very friendly and very helpful. We had an issue in our room (plumbing) and they sent someone very quickly to look at it. After they established it wasn't an easy fix they moved us into a new (better) room very quickly and also helped with the moving. Also provided us with some complementary drinks. The rooms itself can be a tad small on mid and lower options but given the location it is still worth the price. Just wanted to highlight a couple of things to explain the one less star. The service options mentions room service and late night food however when we tried to order we were told it was not always available and we will need to get Uber eats. Not ideal but given the location it wasn't too difficult. The other thing was the lobby bar which is meant to be open till 1am all day according to our complimentary drink card but it was very rarely open past 9pm. Again, not a major issue but something to keep in mind if you're heading back to the hotel hoping for a drink before bed.

The main floor was a bit dark - we felt we had to pick out way to the elevator a bit. It is an illusion based on lighting and dark floor sections, but not actually unsafe.. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom area is weird. Not just because it it is small but because the odd doors are hard to use, especially for the shower, All the service was good but there is no service book in the rooms and the phone didn't tell us which number to use. Excellent location for the museums and a bus to the airport , and for the time of year the proce was reasonable. The street behind the hotel has some expensive but nice shops

  • 5/5 Marc S. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel steps from the Rijksmuseum. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, the hotel is modern, chic, and the beds are extremely comfortable. When we arrived the hotel was short staffed and our checking was about 40min late. This didn’t bother us at all since the atmosphere is great. And even though we said that was fine, the concierge went out of his way to get us a voucher for 3 free drinks. Absolutely would stay again.
