Housed in a stunning building, the hotel allows itself to live off of impressions. After the first few have passed, you are left with multiple problems to tackle as a guest. Rooms for example. When booking a suite expect to land a fail like us: tiny to no windows, low ceilings, and a stale smelling bathroom unit. The request to be moved to a different room was only fulfilled after a long discussion. And ended with a warning that we might need to move for another guest. Another major inconvenience was the SPA. Staff is not just leisurely dressed, but also behaves as if you are visiting them in a student run massage parlour set in their living room. We were assured that we would be called, if an appointment opens. But when we were, the staff wanted to know, if we can return a dumbbell we took from the gym. After repeatedly explaining we didn't even go to the gym that day, the manager called us and asked again to return the dumbbell. We could only stop the harassment by suggesting to check the surveillance cameras. Next day we nonetheless received an email that there was a "no show" for a massage, we never got to book. And another request about the dumbbell, when calling in to explain that we didn't get to book a massage. Annoyance levels were kept afloat in the Brasserie as well with the waiters generally forgetting at least one thing we ordered. There are other hotels in town, which deserve the five star rating far more than this house.

This hotel is in decline! Every year it gets worse and worse. The staff is arrogant. The waiters think they own the hotel just because they wear a suit/tie. If you decide to go for a drink they may reject you just because they are short staffed. How can a hotel as such be short staffed. Perhaps the manager should learn to get out of the office and serve the clients. The night costs 1500$ and they cannot open the terrace because they are short staffed. What a joke!!!

A huge MERCI BEAUCOUP for our wonderful week-end at Conservatorium : the hospitality, nice room, champagne, chocolates, the fact that everyone knew our names and congratulated us for our wedding anniversary . Please pass our compliments to all. With many thanks and much appreciation.

Wonderful hotel, the staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond in their service, and the rooms are fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, including TVs next to the bath!

Dinner at Taiko is always good, staff is attentive and friendly. Brasserie is a great place for a quick business meeting. Spa is best in Amsterdam.

My wife and I stayed at The Conservatorium at the end of Nov 2023 for 4 days. What an amazing experience! The hotel has set the bar very high in terms of luxurious rooms, lavish surroundings and hotel staff who definitely know how to treat guests well with an unrivalled personal touch. Highlights for us are the split-level Junior Suite, the Taiko restaurant, the Taiko bar, the warm welcome from the Front Desk team and the helpfulness from the Concierge team. A special shout out to Sve from the Concierge team who made our stay so memorable (thanks for the special gifts!) and also to Davide from the Taiko bar for the magical cocktails – your skills are truly superb. We had an amazing stay and will be recommending the hotel to our friends when they visit Amsterdam.

Beautiful property in an outstanding position for Museum lovers in Amsterdam. From check in to check out I cannot fault the Conservatorium. The rooms are spacious, impeccably cleaned and the bathrooms are luxurious.

I have been to many 5-Star hotels around the world, but this one is in a league of its own. I’m simply in awe! 🤩 I can highly recommend the spacious “Conservatorium Suite”, which we are staying in. It’s an absolute pleasure to stay in this hotel and is definitely a must-see! The staff is very friendly, the spa is divine and the food is delicious.

I can't rate the hotel or the restaurant because I only made use of the brasserie lounge. Service could be better. In my opinion I waited to long for a waiter to get to my table and she couldn't make a smile when she got there. Cocktail was alright. I ordered a cheese platter which was the most boring platter I ever had and I didn't get any explanation about the cheeses on the board. It also to forever fpr anypne tp come and check on mu table. At home I realised I paid 40 EURO for a cocktail and a cheese platter which seems way to expensive even for a place like this. But since I didn't ask for a receipt I don't know if everything was charged correctly, so I have to let that one go. The ambiance is very nice though and toilets are very clean but I expected way more of a place like this.

Stunning hotel with great links to the main tourist attractions of Amsterdam. The room and common areas were immaculately clean and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. There has been a lot of thought and dedication go into the styling, decorating, layout and feel of the hotel which really shows. The food at breakfast was lovely. Good amount of choice from the menu, with good portion sizes and the option of buffet. Pool, hammam and sauna were very welcome after a long day of walking. Fabulous stay and would highly recommend.

Went for dinner in the beautiful Brasserie with a party of 6. We were served by Barbora and she is absolutely the definition of hospitality. She constantly had a big smile on her face, she took very good care of us and she answered all of our questions. The food was also delicious, I would highly recommend the steak tartar as main dish. Overall, it was an absolute pleasure to have dinner in the Brasserie of the Conservatorium Hotel and I highly recommend everyone to experience this themselves.

Great stay, lovely staff and loved our room! The hotel is located in Museumplein and is super close to the Rijks, Moco, Van Gogh and is located near the tram station.

Spectacular hotel. One of the nicer city hotels I've ever stayed in. Service top notch, rooms impeccable, bed a bit lumpy but I suppose I could have complained so that's on me. Comforter great, shower / bath perfect. Gym / Spa etc amazing. Didn't try the restaurant so can't comment on that.

I stayed here in September '22 a night for work. The hotel is beautiful. The concept of a rain shower is providing you with a luxury experience (in a luxury hotel), the rain shower head in my room was soo dirty that water only flowed out of about 40% of the small water holes; an absolute disgrace for a hotel that claims to be a 5 star luxury hotel. The reaction of the staff, when I mentioned it at check out, was well rehearsed, but not sincere and slightly arrogant. This hotel is not recommended.

Was amazing. We had our company Christmas party on the 3rd Floor in their banket room. Service was amazing and so was the food.

A very nice hotel, but there were times when service missed the five star feel. That is not to say that service was poor, or that staff was rude, but for the price, it didnt quite hit the mark. The room itself had a strange layout, but was tastefully decorated. The HDMI inputs built into the wall did not work correctly, so to use an Apple TV we needed mess with awkward and overly complicated TV system. The a/v equipment as a whole was quite outdated and could stand an upgrade. Bed was comfortable. HVAC fan stays on unless you turn the system off, and it hits you in the face as you lay in bed. In room dining was the major disappointment during our stay... We ordered room service one night, and it was completely forgotten about. I figured the kitchen might just have just been busy, so waited ~80min to call back. By that time, it was a different shift, and they had no record of the order. It eventually did come, but when it did, the pasta was cold (like refrigerator cold) and one of the salads had no dressing. The sushi restaurant was quite nice, with good quality fish and a good assortment of other dishes. Dessert, however, did seem to be more about looking ig ready rather than being balanced and tasting good. I will give it to them though, it did look very nice. The staff was a bit cold and impersonal, which could come off as pretentious. Door staff really stood out... They were exactly what I expect when at a 5 star hotel, and did a good job setting the tone for the hotel. The gentleman who helped us at check-in continued to greet us by name whenever we saw him, which is something I don't expect, but am very impressed by. All in all, I would stay here again. The area has a couple good restaurants/shops, but the fact you are so close to multiple tram lines, it's easy enough to go wherever you want. It was a great base to go out and explore the city.

Dreadful treatment from the one of a long-sleeved white shirt without the jacket on and others.... They sent me to see if it was good place to book but I decided another without doubt.

A big thanks to #ConservatoriumHotel and all team for their welcome and the attention they gave me during my stay with them as part of the #TCSAmsterdamMarathon. They knew how to put me in the ideal conditions during these 2 days.

No complaints! Great room, prompt and helpful service. It is a little expensive, but you get very high quality lodgings in return.

Absolutely amazing place, lovely spacious rooms and great charming area... it is a top 5* , the only thing is that our window was facing street so it was not very quiet but when window was closed that was fine

Did not spend the night. Had lunch at the Brasserie. Nice open space. Good service. Decent food. The food has improved since I was here last (pre COVID)

I've visited Amsterdam in the past, but having stayed at The Conservatorium, I can't imagine choosing any other place. The location is superb, the rooms are exceptionally well-appointed, and the concierge team, in particular, is outstanding. I truly felt at home during my stay. Thank you all so much for your hospitality. I hope to return soon.
