Stayed for 4 nights in a Deluxe room. The hotel is in a beautiful building and idyllically situated next to one of Amsterdam’s beautiful rivers. The room was very clean and spacious. The WiFi was patchy and weak at times unfortunately. I used the small underground pool and spa, and had a massage - all lovely experiences. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. One of them gave me a rose on International Women’s Day 🥰 Breakfast was nice but very repetitive, wouldn’t stay longer if you like variety. Overall I had a great time and would visit again.

Nice relaxed but very tasteful hotel. Location is not in the center of the city, but you'll walk a few minutes to closest tram stop. Good basic breakfast. If you are lucky, you'll get the swimming pool and the spa all to yourself. Nice place to relax after sightseeing the city

From start to finish this hotel ticked all the boxes… The staff are very attentive and the service was impeccable… The room was perfect with everything we needed, clean, smart and the shower was spot on… Spa facilities great and an early morning steam room and swim getting our day off to a great start… Breakfast was good with plenty to choose… The bar was a nice place to relax and the Bar Manager “Joao “ would go the extra mile to create the drinks we asked for and is an example of perfect customer service… Overall this is a brilliant hotel with brilliant staff and customer service. Definitely stay again 👍

Upon entering this hotel, you'll see attention to detail, beautiful furniture and a welcoming staff. Claudia, one of the supervisors, when way above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. The hotel rooms are nice and spacious and the morning breakfast is filled with numerous selections. The bar/restaurant at the hotel has a cool, greenhouse feel with great cocktails and appetizers. The hotel overlooks the river and is within walking distance to catch the tram. Would highly recommend.

Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The room was big and nicely appointed, aside from the odd decision to have very light carpets, which showed any and all dirt. The real issue was that check-in was over half an hour late! I’ve never had this happen in a hotel before, and it’s particularly egregious because Pestana’s official check-in time is very late to begin with. If something like this happens, there needs to be some sort of official offer of a comped breakfast or some other acknowledgment of such a highly unusual failure to provide the basic service.

Overall a nice hotel to stay in. The reception staff and restaurant manager were all extremely friendly. A good location if you don’t mind a short tram or Uber ride into Amsterdam. Quiet location and the room was of a good size. Although, I don’t believe it warrants the 5 star rating, in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed in. We had a few issues which I wouldn’t expect: * hotel offers a pillow menu but didn’t have 2 out of the 5 pillows available. *upon check in I noticed a stained bed sheet, I reported it three times to reception and each time they said it would be changed immediately. I came back in the evening and it still hadn’t been changed, I was told it was a miscommunication. The male cleaner who came to change the sheet was extremely rude. It was unpleasant from start to finish. There wasn’t an apology I was made to feel as if it was my fault, which is unacceptable.

While the hotel is satisfactory, it is not exceptional. The room receives a rating of 3/5 due to the inconvenient separation of the toilet from the bathroom area, lacking a sink. This arrangement raises concerns regarding hygiene, as one must navigate back to the room for handwashing after using the toilet. The service provided scores a 3/5 overall. Reception could have done a better job of creating a welcoming and attentive atmosphere for guests. Booking was made through the Pestana website, with marketing indicating breakfast was included. However, upon receiving the final rate, it was discovered that breakfast was not included and cost an additional €27 per person (pay attention to the fine prints). The quality of the breakfast spread was average, but the omelette was divine. Overall, the experience was comfortable, but the value for money remains questionable.

It's okay. Our room was noisy as it was right next to a staff exit door which was loud throughout the night and morning. I told the receptionist and they said sorry. That's it! Not very friendly service. Comfortable bed at least, but I would expect more from a 5* hotel. Not impressed so I would recommend you stay somewhere else.

A clear recommendation. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Clean public areas, clean room. Pleasant sleeping comfort. Good starting point for a city trip if you are willing to explore the city center by bike or metro.

The service are at worst! The breakfast buffet section lower than 3star hotel. Rude staff such as rashyd , doesnt show any apologetic gesture, keep mention is not his fault even is a part of team work. Hospitality in the hotel are on the lowest in the world. Should review the rating of the hotel.

Such a lovely hotel. Nice shower, comfortable bed, such polite staff. I enjoyed my stay, work in Amsterdam regularly and will definitely be using this hotel again. I ate in the resterant for dinner and my meal was very nice. I chose to use a cafe across the street for breakfast rather than in-house, as I wanted a hot option. If I was to be super critical - the lighting in the bedroom was not quite good enough for reading. A reading lamp by the desk/bed would be good. In the spa the sauna was lovely, pool adequate but the steam room was not very warm or steamy. Again, being picky. Overall fabulous hotel, best I've found in the city.

The staff were very lovely and helpful. The hotel was so clean and my room was beautiful. The buffet breakfast was so good with a vast selection. Would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay, from the room to the staff. I need to leave a special note for the front desk. He made us feel welcome and provided knowledgeable service. If we go to Amsterdam again, we will stay in Pestana, for sure.

One of the best hotels in Amsterdam - phenomenal by European standards, good size room with decent amenities, friendly staff, decent sized pool and fantastic breakfast. Central location - the only thing I would add, is that the entrance is via a set of stairs - not sure if there is an accessible entrance.

Amazing hotel. Lovely old building that is completely renovated from the inside, beautiful rooms. Super clean and comfortable. Directly on the river, but location is not very close to a tram station - at least 6 mins or more walking. I loved the rental bike service, you can have it for a day or 3 days and move around with it. Very convenient and cool to move around town.

I absolutely had an amazing stay in Pestana Amsterdam Riverside. The room was very clean with a nice bed, a beautiful bathroom and an amazing view on the river. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the service in the hotel was also amazing. Everyone is really kind and helpful. They really make sure everyone has a pleasant stay in the hotel. I had a really nice experience while staying in Pestana that’s why I recommend everybody to go there as well. Thank you for everything!

This hotel was and still is amazing. The rooms are amazing and great for the kids, the one that me and my family stayed in was amazing and it had two story’s and my kids loved that. The front desk workers were very helpful and friendly and they even got us an upgrade and late checkout. The location is pretty good and if you close you can see the top and know that your hotels there and there’s even four buildings. This hotel is amazing and beautiful. 😍

I have been to Amsterdam 100 times, and this hotel is a great location. Get true taste of one the most popular areas and reduced tourist load. Rooms are clean and staff is down to earth friendly.

Beautiful hotel located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Amsterdam. The staff was very kind to us at every moment and made our stay in the city even better. The building is very nice and the food and drinks in the restaurant are unbeatable. We would come back again and again!

We had a good stay overall - the location is perfect, close to take public transport, a pleasant walk to Voldenpark and other areas. However it's not what I would consider a 5 star hotel to be, more like 4 - we had the premium studio (which was in a separate building, we weren't aware of this) and it was definitely in need of a renovation, elevator in the building was very noisy and the doors didn't open for my bf at one point which was worrying. The staff I dealt with on my departure day was very accommodating with checking out a bit later which was very appreciated. Overall we would come back and recommend it to family & friends but would definitely book another type of room in their main building.

Received excellent service from the reception manager and the rest of the staff! We had complications with our Airbnb that we had booked and could not stay there. The staff here went out of their way to find us a room at the hotel with no notice at all. Truly saved our trip. Many thanks!

What a beautiful hotel, and in such a perfect location - right next to De Pijp. We were lucky enough to have a mezzanine room, with the bedroom up above and overlooking the living space below. The bed was luxuriously comfortable, and has the bathtub right next to it. The living area is spacious and the blinds even help by closing themselves! The hotel in general was lovely, from the vibrant and delicious spread at breakfast, the wonderful spa facilities including a pool, gym, sauna and steam room, to the very attentive service throughout. I am sure we will be back before too long. Thank you!

Staying here currently. Clean, elegant and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Good location. Improvements: 1. Extend gym opening times. Not operable for most business travellers (opens at 09:00 and closes early) 2. Healthier breakfast - more vegetables and better option of hot food (e.g. omelette etc.). Quite basic for what is 5*

Excellent hotel. Modern and chic. Incredible rooms. Incredible serve. Restaurant and bar are amazing with amazing food and drinks. Plenty of restaurants close by within walking distance. Breakfast is included and the breakfast buffet is delicious. Our rooms were cleaned every single day to the pristine The only downside was our air conditioner was not working. But we were told the building is older and a lot of buildings in Amsterdam don’t have AC. Which is understandable. If I come back to Amsterdam I would definitely stay here:

It has very comfy beds. But don't stay there if you arrive early in the day. Got there at 9:30 am, room was not available until almost 4:00!

Great hotel. Building was “restored” in 1914. Lol. Rooms are modern, service excellent. Location not bad to get around Amsterdam. You can use public transportation but we found Lyft the easiest.

Nice hotel, good location not sure it's five star for me. Very busy with coach tours that takeover the hotel facilities. Breakfast was good but again busy.

We loved our 3 night stay here recently. Check in was quick and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were lucky as although it clearly states check in is 4pm, our room was ready before midday. This was a welcome surprise as we could freshen up before heading out to explore. We had thought it was a good idea to pull our suitcases from the train station but hadn’t realised it would be a 3km walk. :-) The room was immaculately clean and very stylish. We enjoyed the walk to the more central part of Amsterdam. We had a swim and had a session in the steam room. The Spa area is beautiful. It was like a perfect little sanctuary after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We have stayed in Pestana’s before and this is now my new favourite. Thank you so much.

Stayed here last month and we were very pleased. The room was beautiful and the staff very attentive. Fab location not too far from the centre. The only problem is that when we were leaving I stripped the bedding to save the cleaners a job and I found a huge dirty stain on the bedding. Other than that it was lovely. For the price you would think fresh bedding would be provided.
