The Owner:”no body forced you to stay” Avoid this s**t hole at all costs. 😡 The owner of this hotel should be ashamed of himself and as you will read you may agree, not only he is not ashamed he feels proud of his little scheme. Let me start by telling you that the rooms in this hotel look nothing like the pictures when you are booking for your stay. The pictures may be from a time when this owner had an ounce of pride and dignity. Upon checking in, you are forewarned to lock your room, it may sound like an odd thing to say but when you see the narrow, steep staircase with visible signs of damage and dirt on the walls and floors, accessed from the street (not the reception), leading to a room door that has seen better days and has signs of people kicking it for what ever reason, you will soon see the sense in that advise. Oh, and by the way, you have to provide a deposit for the key to your room. God knows how many have “failed” to return their keys in the past and how many copies there may be out there already. So, not only you will lock your room, if you take the signs, you will leave the key in the lock, just in case! When you finally ascend the staircase and get in your room; if the torn curtains and layer of dust everywhere is not enough to paint the “you’ve been screwed” picture in your mind, lack of electricity on the plugs, an old grim broken mattress with two old smelly pillows with holes on the covers will challenge your anger management skills. After a long trip, black mould on the bathroom ceiling and shower curtain makes you question how much do you really need the shower 🤢. If you are lucky, the room may come with tantalising views of cigarette ends and pigeon sh*t all over the glass and landing outside. The room door shuts and locks with difficulty and you can see plenty of damage both inside and out. To entice your stay, there are no elevators and high steep stairs welcome your knees. There is no WiFi to ensure means of communication to the outside world are limited. You are promised of a luggage storage facility when you book in, but that’s also not true and if you may choose to store your luggage for an additional fee in the station. Of course to ensure you don’t feel you are booking into a s**t hole when you are paying your non refundable reservation, you are asked to pay good money against relatively acceptable photos of the rooms. If like us you dare to complain on your first day you are told by the staff they are not authorised to change anything until the morning. And you may find as we did when you feed back in the morning the old man who owns the place is perfectly happy with the way things are. When we told the owner of the issues he simply told us; “no body forced you to stay” and “he is making a lot of money so things are fine as they are”. By the way the rooms come with an additional feature; you will hear every room when they flush their toilet....Because, well, why not 😡

Room was exactly as advertised. I was in Room 29 on the third floor, a loud and ratty old room that comes with its own unique experience of two floors of truly dangerous spiral staircase. The other good news is that there is a coffee shop, smart shop and a 10EUR full English breakfast within a 30 second walk. To do this correctly you have to get blasted, freak out, then stare upwards at the seven lifetimes of vertical stairway. This is by far the worst hotel room that I've ever truly loved, 5 Stars.

Bed bugs, broken doors and locks, walls with holes in it. Unclean, unsafe. Rude greedy manager. DO NOT STAY. Even a hostel with lots of bunks would be better. So filthy. Rooms never cleaned. Smells of mould and death. Not cheap either.

I stayed in a 5 bed room it was really spacious with good lighting and the staff was especially nice! The only bad thing is that we had to go down to reception to get wifi signal because it would not reach our room. Other than that it is a good option.

Hostel staff were friendly and approachable. The hostel itself was horrendous. the room looked like it had never been cleaned with stains on carpets, dirty spare covers and mould all over the place. I would not go back there and if i did i would not want to pay more then £20 per night. It was over priced and definitely paid too much for the condition of the place.

Somehow the owner has had my review removed from booking.com, so here I am. I booked here 5 years ago and it infuriates me that this 'hotel' is still operating. WORST HOTEL EVER. The rooms that are advertised online are nothing like the accommodation when you get there. It smelt like sewerage, there was electric wires hanging out of the walls, holes in the walls, broken bedside tables, stains, it was old and worn down. The owner would not issue a refund even when I pointed this out and said that I would not be staying there. The rooms were not cheap, and were falsely advertised. Please read the reviews before wasting your money. I have nothing nice to say about the owner, or this 'accommodation'. You are better off paying for a cheap hostel.

My flight was cancelled and I suddenly needed a room for one night. Fortunately, this place had a small room available for 80 euros. The front desk people were nice and the location is great, but unfortunately those are the only positive things I can say about this place. It's a smelly, old, rundown hotel, but I guess for the price it was ok.

Stay away from this place, one of the worst places ive ever stayed. There was only one member of staff which I would say was very helpful and polite apart from that the place was disgusting. The bedding was horrible and so was the rooms it hadn't look like they've been cleaned in years. There were no fresh towels as we had to go and ask for them each morning and also no drinking facilities in the room, and one of the worst things was there was no food policy in the room. Sorry ive got no pictures to add but I really didn't want to waste to space on my phone to take pictures of such a bad place

Worst Hotel ever! I can’t believe places like this can exist in 2018. A group of us stayed at this overpriced hotel and with the price we paid we expect something atleast decent. The rooms were filthy. Literally mould and dust everywhere. The stairs to the room and hallway is very narrow and can be dangerous. On our first night we found a bed bug next to one of the beds. A friend managed to get rid of it down the toilet. As you can imagine we took the matter up with the reception staff. It was quite late and the only solution was for him to give us another room. We didn’t really want to stay after what we saw but had no choice as it was late in the night and the immediate local hotels were booked up. The next morning we came down to speak to the ‘manager’ which apparently we were told is the lady with glasses. To put it bluntly she was RUDE! I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. First we asked if she was the manager to which she looked away shrugged her shoulders and mumbled “what, why” something along those lines. She was obviously informed about our situation. She lied to us about getting pest control in the morning to check the rooms. As it was really early and she couldn’t even show us proof of visit. She just made silly excuses. She told me I was lying about seeing a bed bug. Honestly I was shocked and disgusted. So happy I live in London. A place like this and staff like that would not last a minute in the UK! Avoid this hotel! Only gave one star as it wouldn’t allow me to post without it.

Do not go here. Just look at the pictures. This hotel ruined our experience in Amsterdam. This place was moldy, dusty, dirty, trashy, smelly, ugly, filthy, unsanitary, disgusting, repulsive, dangerous, gross.... Don't be fooled by the location!!! Unless you are a college frat boy on a shoestring budget, this place just won't do.

😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night. Also noisy because of the "cigarette smokers". There are no rules and regulations - or if t...
