Heating does not work in any rooms so you rely on the weather outside to have a comfortable temperature. They barely clean the rooms, so poorly they did not notice a sock covering the smoke detector i saw before leaving. The windows do not close well and make the rooms very noisy. In one of my rooms, a lamp fell off and we lost power so we spent that night without electricity. Upon leaving i was asked if everything was OK and when i answered the guy at the reception mocked me saying that at least the location is good. Which is true lol

The main issue,it was too cold in the room. I couldn't stand it n left to airport, just no to stay in the room for any other extra time. The night I stayed, I slept using couple blankets, wearing an outwear jacket, hat, and fully dressed. What I liked was location, and free-hot tea and coffee anytime in the lobby

Would never recommend this place! Sure the location is great, but you can get far better hotels a bit outside from centrum, which is no problem with the great public transport system. The room has a disgusting smell, which you can not get rid of. I have found hairs in the bed, on the toilet, and there is false lashes stuck on the wall. The bed is put together by to single beds, and therefore is a gap in the middle of the bed. The bed is also dirty, and there are holes in the sheet. The same goes for the shades. The windows are really thin, so you can hear EVERYTHING! So as I wrote before, yes the location is great, but it does not make up for how disgusting the rooms are! Again I would not recommend this to anyone!!

We were skeptical about our stay due to having seen previous reviews on this page however it was a really ideal hotel. The beds were really comfy in our room and we had paid for the smallest sized room so it was a bit small for us however you pay for what you get! The cleaners came everyday and always made our bed and cleaned up which was really nice, our room wasn’t cold at all so we maybe got lucky as many reviews stated having cold rooms. The hallways are not very soundproof so I would recommend having earplugs as if people are coming in late it can be quite noisy, same for the streets. In terms of locations it is absolutely perfect and all the main attractions are very close by same with having a liquor store right next door which we liked :) The staff at reception were exceptional and managed to book us as a taxi for our flight in the early morning on way back which was really ideal for us and even phoned us to ensure we did not miss our taxi in the morning since it was an early flight, additionally reception has free coffee and teas which you can take as you please which was nice. Overall this was a good stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Perfect location cannot fault that. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. However, we were absolutely dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The mold in the room was atrocious as seen in the photos attached. I have NEVER been to a worse hotel in terms of cleanliness. There was actual mold growing all up the curtains, the wall and there was still rubbish left in our room. I was so glad that we only had to stay one night here!!

A great place to stay for a short visit. The towels and linens were clean and bright white in the rooms; turn over/ room service was done with out asking. The room was clean and about the typical size room for Amsterdam standards. The window in the room opened up all the way which allowed for fresh air. The hotel has no food service nor was there a kettle or coffee maker in the room. There was a vending machine in the lobby... but I was not happy with the price of a bottle of water. There was a Spar up the road for a bit of convenience. I would not have a problem staying at the Cordial again.

Stayed at the Cordial Hotel for 4 nights. Although the location was fantastic and walking distance from many famous / local eateries and tourist attractions, the room was extremely small and the beds were moldy / dirty. Noise from the street was also easily heard throughout the night. The only other consolation is that the hotel service is fairly good (e.g. they allowed us to use a spare umbrella when it was raining and were willing to help with any questions).

Definitely a budget hotel option. The location is great and walkable to many attractions. We got the cheapest room in the basement. It was pretty much as expected - small bed, old worn out towels, cramped room with no windows. BUT for only 2 nights and 3 days in the city this was fine for us since we were barely in the room. The staff was friendly and gave us an extra pillow. There was also air conditioning in the room which was great. Also, our room was very clean. If you are looking to save and don't want to spend a lot of time in the hotel - this is a fine option. Just know that this is truly a 3 star budget hotel.

They make up lies about the wifi “getting fixed” and then change their story to there is no wifi. The beds barely have sheets and the rooms come without basic necessities like hand soap. The extra data charges make the same price as an actually nice hotel, so just go there and avoid the horrible service

No heating in mid nov with 9°C outside, the window was full of molds and the closet fell on me when I opened it! The staff is nice and try to help but the hotel is really not well maintained: shame on the owner! The value for money is not acceptable.

Everything was okay until the last night when the owner of the hotel came to my room nuking on my room when I open I found Asian man in 50’s yelling at me you know you have to check out today. I told him that’s not right I already paid until Thursday. I follow him to the lobby to find out what’s the issue. After waiting for 20 minutes in the lobby he find out I was right. He give me the key with angry face you have to checkout tomorrow without saying sorry about walking to my room wake me up. I feel so sorry about my money went to this guy pocket.

We stayed at peak time. There was nothing particularly wrong with the room. Clean. Functional. Fine. The shower door did fall off. If this hotel cost 50% less it would be great, however there was nothing cheaper this central that wasn't a hostel. The location is perfect. It does bear an unfortunate resemblance to the hotel in The Shining, but as long as you are not high and the neighbour next door doesn't have identical twin daughters, then you will be fine. Probably.

This is a great place to stay. Rooms are modern and clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is an elevator to all floors. Great location as well and I would definitely stay here again. Rates are very reasonable as well. Thank you Hotel Cordial.

Centrally located hotel but very compact room and no toiletries. Bed was springy and couldn't sleep well enough. Okay for 1 person staying there for just couple of nights. Only best thing was it cost really less compared to hotel around Dam square.

Right in the middle of Amsterdam (Rokin) this little gem. Very affordable and clean with a round the clock reception.rooms are quite snug but quite organised.

Shocking noise coming from the staff 24/7 moving stuff directly outside hotel room and throwing items down in the hallway directly outside the row of hotel rooms. Hotel room did not have any windows. Great location but shocking noise coming from the hotels own staff 27 hours a day.

What a horrible disappointment. After taking a look at the room, we had no choice but to book elsewhere. Mold everywhere!!!!, walls and carpet had all sort of stains. The toilet brush was "dirty," silver fish found in the shower. We also got a "double" room, which did not even have enough space to open the washroom door without hitting the bed. Do yourself a favor. You can find alot nicer rooms for the same price 10/15mins away Don't know how this place is still open and recommended by aircanada

This hotel would not let my boyfriend and I cancel our reservation and be refunded despite COVID arising and the U.S. putting a travel ban on flights to Europe. We paid in advance and unfortunately didn't see a dime back. The manager was very hard to work with, rude, and doesn't value customer service at all.

I booked one double room for 5 nights and it was everything ok but once we get there the heating is not working and was -3 degrees! The owner just lift his arms to the sky saying what can I do if is broken?? Do you want some extra blankets?? I thought this was ridiculous and I really thought we should have complained and get some money back or something complimentary but nothing at all not even their apologies! Very bad I would not go there again not even for free!!

Our room was a bit smaller than I expected, but clean and comfortable, and the gentleman at the front desk was a delight. Will definitely book a stay here next time I vacation here.

the have valet parking, but it seemed like an act of congress to use it. There is a parking ramp in-front of this hotel. If you want a decent, no thrills, with the basics I’d highly recommend

Great location!! Hotel overall good experience. Reception staff are friendly, efficient and polite. The minibar advertised on the XO / Cordial website are non-existent. They did offer the use of a mini-fridge on the ground floor - but I would have to write my name on the items in the fridge. The aircon in my room did not work. I requested 3x that they come to look at it, but that did not realise.

Very unpleasant experience. They don't have heating in November and the room was pretty cold. The reception doesn't help. The window is pretty old and you can hear all the noises from outside. Old and cheap furniture. Pretty expensive (150 EUR per night) for the bad quality they offer. Not recommended.

First room had hair on the sheets and pillows. The second room we got, the air did not work and the bathroom smelled funny. Luckily we didn’t find any bed bugs but mattress was quite stained. Would not recommend even though location is central.

The room had no window. A fire exit green light is shining bright over the bed. Doors are slamming constantly and our room was near the dustbin room which were being moved and emptied in the early hours. Rubbish.

Not the worst hotel I have ever stayed at but close. I guess it's apart of a chain of higher end hotels but this one is the 2 star one in the group. The room was dirty, the website advertised a fridge in the room which was not the case (small gripe, I know but dissappointing none the less), and overall it felt more like a place you would rent by the hour. I would not stay here again. The one thing I will say is location, location, location. They are in a great location, close to a number off attractions.

Great location. Small rooms. Bad service (they didn't clean our room for 2 days). You hear the corridor sounds from within the room (open/Close other rooms doors) which is a bit annoying. Twin beds cannot be connected (as they are on wheels and don't stay static)

It was a fine hotel for just a few days. Our room was located towards the inner courtyard which meant that it was really quiet. Also, it's located very centrally in the city. However, I am still mad about the fact that they lied to me about having breakfast. As one can see on the photo, I clearly booked the option with "breakfast included". But when we arrived at the hotel, they were lying and saying that I never booked this option. Suddenly, they changed their argumentation and claimed that no hotel in Amsterdam offers breakfast right now because of COVID. Choose your lie and please put "no breakfast included" on your website so that people actually know what they get for their money.

The smallest of all rooms during our 23 night trip. Very little space to get around in the room. We did not have control of the temperature in our room and the windows were sealed shut. Only huge bath towels, not even a handtowel or washcloth. The best part was they arranged for direct transportation to the airport through a service for us, and that was well done

Stayed here this weekend, looks good when you look at the hotel on line.... But totally different on arrival, room smelt if wee and dirty, had to sleep in a track suit due to the coldness as the heating was not working, awful shower that just dripped out and struggled to shower with it, did report the problems but nothing was sorted, feel completely robbed and even the budget hotels are better I paid just over £250 a night would of expected a lot better than that, wouldn't recommend

Very nice location. Very clean rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. My only problem was the air conditioning not working in our rooms! Reported the problem, but nothing was done about it.

The location is great, BUT: 1. Unfriendly staff 2. Broken AC and hot rooms 3. Extremely Loud - street noise 4. Broken TV 5. Ugly and old furniture 6. Overpriced 7. Tiny rooms 8. Very slow internet

Good place to stay. Good and responsible stuff. Rooms small, but clean enough. Located in city center. Highly recommended for people who looking for best price/quality in Amsterdam center.

Very cheap hotel. The rooms are really not that great. Service people are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located by the city center so it's great. But the hotel itself, well...

  • 4/5 Howard L. 1 year ago on Google
Good location, room was very small, but fine for what we needed. No kettle in the room, but can get free tea/coffee/hot chocolate from the machine in the lobby. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed and bedding was very soft and comfortable. The room was a bit noisy, but I can sleep through anything so didn't bother me.

  • 2/5 Al-Amin M. 1 year ago on Google
The room is very small. Bed sheets are clean but the mattress should probably be changed. I wonder if hotels know that mattresses do expire. Other than this location excellent customer service is fantastic.

  • 2/5 Golnaz T. 1 year ago on Google
Location is decent but service was shocking! Cleaners spent the whole time shouting at eachother and the rooms were tiny with no windows! Considering how expensive this place was the only positive was it's location!

  • 1/5 Kätä M. 1 year ago on Google
Mold everywhere!!!! Disgusting room, dirty carpets on the stairs, dirty bedsheets and mattresses, broken, thin window and a very bad costumers service. We wanted to change our room because I had to caught all the time, but where send away by the hotel reception, because it was 1pm and they could ONLY change rooms until 11am.. so we had to unlikely sleep 2 of 3 nights in a disgusting room.. the other one wasn’t even better nor cleaner. After contacting the costumer service they offered us a 20% discount on our next stay.. after not accepting their hilarious offer and sending photos as arguments, they are ignoring me.. well I’ll never recommend this hotel to anyone

I had to book this hotel last minute because of some unforeseen circumstances. I accidentally selected the 9th instead of the 6th of Feb. I took this mistake to the front desk. it hadn't even been 24 hours from my original booking. When I approached the man serving reception, he was super helpful and spoke very good english until I asked if they could shorten my stay and refund just some of the money only the days that I wouldn't be staying. He started to speak in Dutch and was very rude, saying that it is just money and that I should not travel if I do not have enough money.

Exactly what we needed for our 3 night stay in Amsterdam - comfortable bed, great shower and an excellent location.

Ozo cordial Hotel: we arrived at this hotel which from the photos always looks good and the location is quite central. When we got to the room it must have been 15 degrees, when I went to ask for explanations they told me that the heating would not be on for the entire month of November because it was broken but in the hall it worked perfectly, apart from the fact that we had to buy stoves to keep warm as the situation was unlivable (it made you feel sick) water and wind came in through the windows, the beds were very uncomfortable and the walls were full of mold (see attached photo) the sanitary conditions of the room was unspeakable complete lack of cleanliness and always insufficient cleaning. An hotel that does not deserve this name which must be absolutely avoided.

Stayed at this hotel around 1 year ago on -1 floor (now i come to find out the only renovated floor). Come back to stay 2 rooms and iv never seen a hotel room as bad my life. Dirty linen, windows that don't close, cracks, mould, freezing cold, oil heater that doesn't work. Went straight to reception to try and give the rooms back, to be greeted by a rude, obnoxious lady who went to 'check' the rooms and came back and said no refund. We had to stay that night but after much battling got my money back the second night! I would recommend to avoid this hotel like the plague and stay well away. Very disappointed!!

We were a bit concerned after reading some reviews. Sure the decor was dated & the room wasn’t enormous but it was clean & had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Staff were very friendly. No fire alarm when we stayed &the lift worked. Heat in our room on 5th floor worked perfectly. Location was ideal. I would stay here again.
