Great location, close to most attractions. Love the bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Room was clean, modern and nicely updated, really like the 2 personal comforter for our bed, no fighting for warm at night ;-)

We stayed here for 2 night and were really happy with the hotel. Its in a good location 20 minutes walk through the main streets to central station. 5 minute walk to the tram and metro station. Nearby there are lots of nice cafes and shops. The hotel itself is very modern. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. I would stay here again.

I was fortunate to find availability at 9:30 PM for a two-night stay. The room was delightful, offering exceptional comfort, particularly the bedding. But what truly stood out was the excellent reception from the staff member at the front desk. A heartfelt thank you!

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! We have spent a great stay here. People are very friendly, the room is very clean and confortable, the breakfast is highly qualitative. You can rent a bike at the shop next door « Roxie ». It is right next to the city center and there is a parking next door Q-Park.

The hotel is very attractively furnished - both the rooms and the reception and breakfast area. The rooms are simple, clean and functional. Everything you need for a stay in the city is there. There is also free WIFI. And the breakfast is excellent. There is a good selection of delicious products, especially for vegetarians/vegans

You know what you’ll get when booking a Motel one room - they r all the same ! this hotel is no different. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are well maintained. Top cleanliness and friendly staff at the reception. There is a Q park nearby for your car. 10min walk takes you to the bubbly city center for bars and restaurants (I didn’t see a lot of options directly around the hotel). You can easily visit the major highlights of Amsterdam from this hotel. A very good choice for business trips too. My only comment would be that you can hear people in the corridors and also through the walls. Not soundproof but totally still recommend it !

Hotel like a new building very clean and nice Design hotel. Top bathrooms and rooms. However, no fridge/minibar and somewhat sparsely furnished. There are two types of rooms, we were booking the better category with a cosy armchair and a little big bigger bathroom. Service on site was great and very nice (reception). Parking in Waterloo car park about 250m away, cost per 24h are 55€, but warm and secure parking. From the hotel we were walking to the city center (15min). Great stay! Thanks.

Excellent value. Lovely reception and bar area - staff are friendly. Rooms are quite small but nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom again small but has nice powerful shower. Only negative was the room was so warm at night and thermostat didn't seem to make much difference and opening the window meant you could hear the noise from the street. Would return in the future!

Very beautiful clean and the staff is very professional and polite. The rooms are clean the beds are awesome had a very good night sleep. I also liked the fact that it was close to the red light district and all the shops and restaurants. I give them a big thumbs up and keep up the good work i highly recommend this hotel.

Very pleasent hotel and friendly staff. Nice and inviting atmosphere. Easy to get to the room from the reception via elevator. Room was clean and nice, and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was fresh and had nice options. Our Window faced the street so it was a bit noisy from the main road if we had the window open. The room didnt have water boiler for tea, and not a minibar. Other than that it was a great stay!

The room was lovely and the hotel itself was well-kept. Good distance from the city centre and close to a metro. Unfortunately the fire alarm went of in the night due to a malfunction. Staff didn’t not communicate what was going on very well with the customers who were all sat in the lobby at 4am. When this happened to me in the past, the hotel offered some compensation / complimentary gifts to apologise. However, all that was offered at motel one was just a poster in the lift saying ‘sorry’ and explaining to was a malfunction. Overall a nice place to stay but my nights sleep was very disrupted.

Basically the MO-hotels are a good choice for 1 or two nights without expecting a big breakfast. I use the hotels quite often for my business trips. (up to now). THE MO-AW has a good location close to the city center. The rooms are ok, so long you don´t have your room close to the elevator because it makes sound each stop. No parking available from the hotel. My rate this time is in regards to service. Due to sickness I wasn`t able to cancel my room booking right on time and therefor I had to pay fully without any chance for other solutions (credit note, coupon...?) I´m very disappointed that such a big hotel group has no other solutions for loyal guests in that cases.

Clean and well maintained hotel. It's near to public transportation. Their service was good and fast. There could be more area for storage in the rooms. Also on Booking it says they have parking but there is not any parking at the hotel.

The rooms are very very small for the price. I was disappointed to see there was no mini fridge in the room. We stayed a total of 8 days and it would have been nice to be able to keep some food/leftovers or snacks cold. There was no kettle or coffee maker. There were no water or drinks of any sort provided and when we went to ask downstairs at the front counter we were told because it was outside of bar hours we couldn’t even buy water. The TV in our room was a smart TV however it was incompatible with iPhones so we could not cast a movie to the TV from our phones. Majority of the channels they offer were unavailable most nights which left us with nothing to watch before bed or while resting in the room. The hair dryer in the bathroom like most hotels has an automatic shut off when it reaches a certain temperature; however this one was much more sensitive as I couldn’t complete drying my medium-length hair without it shutting off and having to wait 10 minutes for it to reset. The room was very clean and it’s close to a metro station but that’s about the end of what was nice about the stay. Overall way too overpriced for the lack of amenities.

Stayed in room 618 for three nights during ADE 2023. The faucet was erratic, switched to boiling hot on its own. My girlfriend's thighs got burned (hotel was not informed of this). No en-suite coffee or tea. No wastebasket in the room (there was one in the washroom, however). TV turned on on its own, even after the front desk was informed and came, immediately, to replace the batteries, this was on day one. The next evening we we were awakened from our disco nap by the TV coming on. No en suite phone, either, hard to communicate with the front desk. Hotel is far from public transports and there's nothing of interest in the neighborhood besides a Roche Bobois store. We had a king-size bed. With two twin-size duvets. At 300 euros there was no breakfast included, my choice, indeed. But our room was "upgraded" to a room ... with a desk! I wonder was our original room looked like. I was not impressed. Hotel is easily accessible to taxis, however, thanks to the service road. If I pay 300 a night, I'm going to need en-suite coffee and tea, a fridge, oh, I don't know, your standard hotel amenities?

Nicely decorated and they have climate control! Beds are comfortable and rooms clean. Very good optional breakfast. Lacks some basics. No luggage stand, drawers, water glasses (only paper cups), wash cloths and coffee maker.

My experience at Motel One Amsterdam Waterlooplein was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond, demonstrating professionalism and warmth throughout my stay. The bartenders stood out for their super-friendly service, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the hotel. The breakfast exceeded expectations, offering a perfect start to the day with a diverse range of options. The convenience of having metro stations nearby made exploring the city incredibly easy, adding to the overall appeal of the hotel's location. In summary, Motel One Amsterdam Waterlooplein combines outstanding service, a delightful breakfast spread, and strategic proximity to metro stations for convenient city exploration. It's a standout choice for a comfortable and well-connected stay in Amsterdam.

Lovely hotel. Bed was comfy. Personnel were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Cute little bar. No restaurant. They did have a buffet breakfast, but we didn't opt in for it. Short walk to sites.

Warm and very polite service. Nice and modern hotel 20 minutes away from the centre (by walking ) . The only thing I would like for this hotel ,to recommend it as perfect, would be the room space. The double rooms are not so big but are very nice . Generally speaking I truly recommend it . All the staff there is more than polite. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 💙

Had a great stay at motel one! Friendly staff, room was a good size and comfortable bed, bar downstairs was convenient for a drink before heading out, and location was perfect!

Modern, clean, high standard and 20 mins or less to the centre on foot. Great location to the highlights of Amsterdam. Warm welcome, comfortable social area and bar. Rooms are compacted but adequate with a large walk in shower. Situated at the front of the hotel in a superior room which was quite. Freshly prepared continental breakfast is a must and excellent value with loads of choice (10 euro). Staff where helpful. No hesitation to recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had a superior queen room which was really nice. It seemed brand new and the bathroom was really nice with a great shower. The bar is excellent with loads of choice. The location is great with lots of local attractions within walking distance or if you prefer the metro is nearby.

Typical motel one in design and service. The location is brilliant as you are in the center of the city close to old Town and centraal station. The stuff is very polite and professional. Perfect for business trips or if you plan to be outside most of the time as the rooms are small (typical motel one size) but very clean and comfy. Breakfast is reasonable and if you look through the brunch table you can find options to eat and drink vegetarian or even vegan if you do desire.

This hotel was fantastic! Great location that is on a quiet street, but close enough to the tourist hot spots. All the staff there were amazing and provided excellent customer service. The air conditioning was great and worked well during a very hot July. Controls are in the room. Bed was comfortable. Safe provided in room.

Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are very clean, and if you're not in your room then it is cleaned and fresh towels left out upon your return back to your room. The rooms themselves are quite small, but for the price you pay, you can't complain. Breakfast selection is small. But nice. The only way up to your room is via a lift.

Decent place to stay. Typical Motel One location. Clean room, great shower. A bit far from the Amsterdam tourist things.

Very unprofessional, I asked for the prices, for a night, I got first one price, when I sent my information they said me that they made a mistake and that pice is 10e greater. I still eanted to book and when I received the bill it was 20e greater then inital. So do not recommend this hotel

Clean, pretty spacious room. Staff was welcoming and held the bags till check in time. Only downside is no kettle/coffee in the room of any kind which is normally offered throughout Europe especially for the price.

  • 4/5 Doug N. 1 year ago on Google
Very clean, quite, well maintained, stylish. However, always seems like we are a 20 minute walk away from where we want to go. My only suggestion to improve the service is to include a coffee machine in each room.

  • 4/5 Dan S. 4 years ago on Google
Great location with short walking distance to the city centre and central station. Breakfast was produced locally and had a delicious selection. The rooms were excellent sizing however there was no tea and coffee facilities/fridge within the room so if you want to buy cheese, eat it the same day or buy it in the wax.

We stayed at Hotel Motel One in Amsterdam for 1 night and we liked it very much. The hotel was very close to the metro and it was inside the city itself. The distance to airport is also manageable with metro. The room was very clean and tidy. The hotel also has a dining area and bar and many varieties of drinks including cocktails and mock tails. I would stay in this hotel next time when I am in Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

Convenient location and fair price. Room is small. The receptionist was friendly. However, my room key was difficult to work. Toilet brush was in the toilet and the drain cover in the bathroom was not in the ‘right place’ when I arrived. It was definitely not a warm welcome to me. If you looking for a hotel with great location and fair price, I still recommend it.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! Great hotel for a visit to Amsterdam. Perfectly located for a short walk to Museumplein or to go the other way across the canals into central Dam. Room was clean, comfy bed, excellent shower with plenty of hot water, and good wifi. Downstairs the bar is pleasant and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend it.

Conveniently located near the Metro and train station. It is always busy and that is clearly something staff can not handle, or are not trained enough to handle. Reception seems overwhelmed and lost with any question and most of the times tries to restart devices! They are all polite, however this is not always helpful, especially if you have to wait for hours for the room you booked weeks ago! The room was nice but they are not keen in cleaning. They will do a basic touch up, they never collected empty coffee mugs and had to ask many times for a second towel. Breakfast is very nice.

  • 3/5 Kris H. 1 year ago on Google
Small room, modern, clean and well located. Staff all pleasant and good to deal with. Breakfast was good. Recommend for one or two nights but not more. Some downsides: Room is very small. Not enough room for 2 suitcases and almost no clothes storage (not even one drawer!). You’re tripping over things. No fridge. This was an issue as we stayed in summer. Couldn’t keep fruit or water cool. Only one bottle of water for two people for entire stay, tap water is warm (and no fridge to cool it). Air con almost non existent. If left on to Xoom room, housekeeping take the key. Good for short stay but those things make any longer than a couple of days not suitable.

  • 5/5 Jason S. 1 year ago on Google
Very cute hotel with a nice breakfast. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. It’s away from the hustle of the main centre but close enough to the central station. There is also many amenities nearby if you are staying longer making it a good stop. The room was very clean.
