Read all the negative reviews and see the common theme. Arrogant, rude and unprofessional staff who dont care about the guests. And when guests complain and write reviews, some Louise tries to spin it with some fancy wording trying to make all the bad reviews look like they are wrong. Own up to your mistakes and fix it. You are a hotel who is suppose to be better. Start caring about your guests!! This hotel needs new fresh staff with a caring attitude and less bombastic attitude!

I recently stayed at hotel2stay for a few days, and while my initial impression of the hotel room was positive, my overall experience was marred by a couple of significant issues that left me disappointed. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find a spacious and clean room that seemed promising for a comfortable stay. However, as the days went by, my enthusiasm gradually waned due to a lack of air conditioning. Despite the pleasant weather outside, the absence of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep comfortably, and we often woke up in sweats in the middle of the night. This was particularly frustrating and hindered our ability to fully enjoy our stay. Furthermore, I encountered problems with the cleanliness of the room. On the second day of our stay, I approached a housekeeping staff member directly in the hotel passage and requested that our room be cleaned. They assured me it would be done after 3 pm. However, upon returning to the room at 5 pm, we were disappointed to discover that it had not been cleaned at all. The following day, I personally spoke to the receptionist, emphasizing the need for cleaning due to an untidy bathroom floor. To my dismay, upon returning from sightseeing at 9 pm, I found that only the garbage bins had been emptied, while the floor remained dirty. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the receptionist, their response was far from satisfactory. Instead of understanding the problem, they rudely questioned whether I expected them to personally clean the room. While the initial positive aspects of the hotel, such as the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, were commendable, the lack of air conditioning and the poor response to my requests for room cleaning overshadowed the overall experience. It is disappointing to encounter such issues during what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I hope that Hotel2Stay takes these concerns seriously and addresses them promptly to ensure a more satisfactory experience for future guests

BEWARE!! Everything seemed fine when checking in and the front desk gave good restaurant reviews. Once we got to the room though we noticed mold in the corners of the shower and a dried up contact on the bathroom wall. The room was only surface level cleaned until you looked a little closer. We had to check out of the property early and check into a nicer, cleaner, and friendlier hotel. There is nothing walkable in the neighborhood except the train station which is just one stop away from Amsterdam Centraal. This hotel allows you to stay for up to 6 months but you are not allowed any visitors past the lobby. No friends or family can stop by. Only you are allowed in your minimum security cell. Donโ€™t bother trying to talk to the front desk staff about any issues as you will receive the โ€œnot possibleโ€ attitude. They would not give a refund for the nights we did not stay at the hotel so we contacted our credit card company and they refunded us for the nights. After the hotel received the chargeback, they ran our credit card again at a higher rate. Now we have to change our credit card numbers and work with the bank to refund the charge again. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away!

While the hotel location may not be right in the city center, I would say this hotel was the best stay of our entire Europe trip. The price was cheaper than average hotels in Amsterdam, but this cozy hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel has everything you need for a vacation. They have a parking lot (for an additional fee), about a 15-minute drive from the city center. Each room has a kitchen, and there is also a gym, sauna, and mini mart where you can buy essentials. The staff were incredibly helpful, even when we checked in at midnight. They were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here - I'm confident you'll have a great time, just as I did. Everything was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. It may be slightly outside the main tourist areas, but in my opinion, that is more than made up for by the wonderful accommodations and service.

We are currently staying at the hotel for four days with five more to go. It turns out that according to the hotel's policy, we are considered a long stay and therefore the room is cleaned according to the procedures and not according to need. For four days they did not renew our towels, not to mention making the bed. During the booking of the room I received a message saying that I received a long stay discount and I was happy. Now I understand that means you get less treatment. We asked the reception to clean the room but they said it would be tomorrow or today and there is no guarantee that it will be today. In addition, next week according to the procedures, on Sundays the room will not be cleaned and on Monday we are already leaving. That is, for our entire stay, we will receive a cleaning service once. Or maybe twice if they come to clean on Saturday. There is no water pressure in the shower and this is a particularly frustrating feeling when you are on vacation. We drew their attention once and were not treated. A day later we complained about it. Since they did not offer us to change rooms. We asked to try to replace the upper part from which the water flows. In the context of water pressure and also in the context of cleanliness, the answer was to take into account the other guests. The rest of the guests are showering, the rest of the guests are currently receiving cleaning services. I have never stayed in a hotel where I was expected to be considerate of the other hotel guests at all costs. It is an attitude that places responsibility on the guest. The guest pays a lot of money not to worry about other guests. In terms of noise, our room is right on the train tracks. And we didn't complain about that because we knew in advance that the hotel was located in its vicinity and we took that into account. We didn't imagine that when we opened a window we would have a rail so close. But you can find the experience in it and that's what we did. The bathroom has one narrow shelf for toiletries. It is on a downward slope and nothing can be safely placed on it. There is no tool to hold a toothbrush but only a plastic cup that falls when it does not hold the weight. So far there seems to be no value for the price which is disappointing. It greatly affects the travel experience. Hosts probably forget what it is to be a tourist, to plan a long vacation, to invest the best of your money for a period of a few days and to return to your routine life. I would not recommend staying at the hotel. And a diplomatic response from the hotel staff here would probably be as ridiculous as the rest. "Can come ask for towels, we have plenty" or "It's a shame you didn't say about the shelf, we would be very happy to help" We have seen the assistance so far.

Had an amazing experience with customer service in the hotel! Really, really lovely people and super helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious and design is cute. However, the sound isolation is rather absent, so if you have troubles falling asleep like I do, it might get hard for you. Also the pillows could definitely be better, as well as iron in the laudnry room.

Hotel is lovely - photographs really don't do it justice. Beautifully decorated and the lobby is lovely to sit in (unlike most hotels). There's a very well stocked and reasonably priced mini market. It's lovely and clean, the staff are so wonderful, welcoming and friendly. We booked the economy room and were really pleased. Again wonderfully decorated and so clean. Kitchen was well equipped and upon check they were provide some cleaning supplies for the kitchen while you're there (washing up liquid, sponge & scourer etc). Bed and pillows are SO comfortable. As for other reviews the room is warm however the window opens all the way so it really isn't an issue for us. The tram is a 30 second walk away so it really is a perfect location. We will be recommending the hotel to others and would love to stay again .

The rooms were clean and spacious enough, definitely worth the price considering the price of everything in Amsterdam is astronomical. The location is good, very close to all forms of public transport. What really sets the hotel apart though is the absolutely incredible customer service! Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel2Stay. Itโ€™s super close to public transit so I had no issues getting in and out of the city. The room was clean and bright and the hotel was easy to find and very nice. I had a small issue during check in where I was charged an extra amount and they quickly and easily let me know how they would be fixing the issue and I was refunded within 2 business days. I would definitely stay again the next time Iโ€™m in Amsterdam.

I really liked this hotel, the check in process was easy, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean. They had a little mini store that was open for 24 hours that I loved in case you forgot to get any food, are you wanted a snack or something to drink. The only issue I would say about the location is that it's a bit far from the attractions. It's in a quieter neighborhood, but it does have a subway station really close. I would come back here and stay again, I really enjoyed myself.

Rooms were tidy and smelt really nice! The staff were really lovely and the terrace was lovely with a nice view of Amsterdam. Right by the Sloterdijk train station so itโ€™s pretty easy to get to the centre via train and tram. Takes about 15-20 minutes.

amazing location, just few meters from the station where you can easily get trains/ metro/ trams/ buses to any part of amsterdam and surrounding areas. Clean rooms with a kitchen area and dishwasher, well stocked with utensils and coffee and tea.Good value for money also.

Easy check in, weโ€™ll equipped room, didnโ€™t have much interaction with the staff. The location is very convenient for work but there are not so many restaurants or shops nearby. A quick trip on the #19 tram will take you close to plenty of shops and restaurants though.

We were thrilled with this hotel. Room was huge and very comfortable. Location central and well connected (although not the charming historical centre, can't have everything). Overall a great find!

Although the location isn't the closest to downtown, it just means you get better value for the stay. Everything was better than expected. Service from the front desk was great, even taking care of some dry cleaning that I needed. When there was an issue with that (not their fault), they corrected it quickly. Room was bigger than expected, with a full kitchen, fridge, etc. Plenty of facilities, including a whole weight lifting area, which was a welcomed surprise after a few weeks on the road without gym access. Also had a little self-pay convenience store area, great for satisfying some munchies quickly (it's Amsterdam, after all...), although there's a grocery store open late just around the corner. Location-wise I really don't have a complaint. The train gets there in 20 mins from the airport, and no need to transfer or walk more than a few mins. Was able to walk back within an hour from downtown, but I like to walk. If you don't like walking, the bus or sprinter goes straight there from the hotel. Super convenient. Some people probably complain about the neighborhood being sketchy, but I didn't find it that bad. I mean, it's by a major train/bus hub, which always has a few more savory characters than usual, but that's to be expected in any city. Didn't feel unsafe or any problems in front of or around the hotel, just some riff raff in front of the station. No big deal, but if you're sensitive to that, maybe it's not an ideal location.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, the room was so comfortable and clean the bed was so comfortable. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, I canโ€™t even express it enough. They were helping me plan every morning for about 30 minutes, my daily schedule to visit as much as possible in Amsterdam and gave great recommendations. The location was great, the buss stop is at the hotels door step and the buses from there can take you to any point in Amsterdam.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Easy check-in and check-out process, non-smoking rooms (great!), gym, terrace, very close to Sloterdijk Station (walking distance). Rooms are nice, clean, quit and have a kitchen. The position of the light switch for the bathroom is in an awkward position, the main light switch switches all the lights on and off at the same time and when you enter the room you have to walk quite far into the dark room to reach the light switch. We had an insect in our room which look looked like a roach, but otherwise the room looked very clean. Nice initiative with planting a tree if one chooses to not have room cleaning every time.

Fantastic location if you prefer to travel into the city on the metro as to avoid the tourist entrapments. Has shops nearby for anything you'd need within reason. The service staff are incredibly kind and patient, even to naive first time visitors to Amsterdam. Ms. Joni went out of her way to ensure the beginning of my trip to Amsterdam was perfect! The rooms are well taken care of and offer kitchens and working tables, perfect for someone to work remotely for a time. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for 11 nights during ADE. The hotel itself is nice and clean. The rooftop terrace is open 07h-23h and is nice to relax on. We had a corner room on the first floor which is nice with the floor to ceiling windows but the view is nothing special. You can't really hear the noise from the train despite being close to the train tracks. The king bed is actually two small beds pushed together, which would make it feel like sleeping in a hole if you end up in the middle of the bed. The bathroom was lacking shelving/storage space. Service and support from everyone working there was always a pleasure. The location is good, being right next to a major hub you have plenty of options for transport, but it is pretty far from any real grocery store.

Great location within walking distance to the Slotendijk train station. A relaxed rooftop area as well as a gym can be used free of charge. Staff were very welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our stay Edit: spelling

Extremely comfortable both for resting and working. Very balanced interior design. The hotel is located very close to Sloterdijk train station and you can get to Amsterdam Central in 5 minutes. The hotel also has a gym, laundry and rooftop terrace. The shower temperature was getting low after some minutes of usage.

Great location for sightseeing and access to the airport. Nice modern rooms for reasonable prices. The beds were a bit firm for my taste and the bathrooms could do with a couple of shelves but otherwise no complaints. We will come back!
