My
partner
and
I
really
loved
staying
at
the
Hotel
JL
(or
Hotel
John
Linnell
as
we
called
it).
The
bed
was
nice
and
big,
arguably
too
big
because
we
basically
didn’t
touch
all
night.
The
bath
was
also
nice
and
big.
We’ve
tried
sharing
a
bath
in
my
tiny
flat
in
England
and
have
been
very
unsuccessful.
The
bath
here
though
had
plenty
of
space
for
both
of
us
and
we
didn’t
have
to
argue
about
who
would
sit
at
the
tap
end!
Upon
check
in,
the
staff
will
tell
you
not
to
press
the
hot
tub
button
until
after
the
bath
is
full,
PLEASE
FOLLOW
THEIR
INSTRUCTIONS!
I
just
pressed
all
the
buttons
and
turned
all
the
knobs
while
trying
to
figure
out
how
the
bath
worked
and
ended
up
with
big,
loud
jets
of
water
spraying
all
over
the
bathroom.
The
room
also
had
two
cosy
armchairs,
plenty
of
storage,
and
a
mini
fridge
which
was
perfect
for
keeping
some
snacks
and
drinks
cool.
The
water
in
the
taps
is
also
drinkable.
Plus
the
sink
was
big
enough
for
me
to
fit
my
rather
hefty
water
bottle
underneath
the
tap,
which
I’m
sure
will
be
reassuring
to
anyone
who,
like
me,
has
an
emotional
support
water
bottle.
The
location
of
the
hotel
is
brilliant
if
you’re
planning
on
visiting
any
museums,
lots
of
them
were
within
very
short
walking
distance.
Also
great
if,
like
me,
you’re
more
interested
in
exploring
the
local
supermarkets,
but
I
suppose
there
are
supermarkets
in
every
part
of
the
city.
This
maybe
isn’t
the
place
to
stay
if
you’re
coming
to
Amsterdam
for
the
green
stuff
though.
They
were
very
strict
on
not
smoking
anywhere
in
the
building,
but
this
was
perfect
for
us
because
we’re
both
sober.
Over
all,
a
very
pleasant
stay
in
a
very
nice
hotel.
My
biggest
complaint
is
that
there
was
a
rug
by
the
door
which
kept
getting
stuck
any
time
we
tried
to
leave
or
enter
the
room.
Not
a
huge
inconvenience
really
though.
