Wifi signal too low to connect. Black mold everywhere in bathroom. Room service left the door open during the day with all our packing exposed and has a sign they aren't responsible for theft of your things if they are in the room. Marijuana smell sipped in from the neighbouring room. Bathroom door was impossible to close properly.

Found the location good. Away from main areas. But we were happy to walk from here around Amsterdam. Tram stops very close also. Good cafés, bars and restaurants all near by. Very basic. Found it clean and acceptable for the price in Amsterdam. Big fat cat in reception a bonus.

Terrible experience. Dirty old rooms, unfriendly receptionist, no lift, incredibly tiny dangerous stairs but worse of everything: IT HAS A LOT OF BED BUGS!!! And when we complained about it and showed the bites of the bugs the receptionist said there was nothing she couldn't do and suggested us to change hotel. We obviously did it but didn't get any refund.

Not fatal, the following. I don't know where they get the photos you see there because reality dictates a lot of what it is. Everything is very dirty including the sheets. Sleeping in a bed like this is unbearable, I leave with back pain that is not normal. You sleep on springs that poke in from all sides. We asked for a room with a double bed and they gave us two small ones.... Honestly, if you don't want to waste your money (which is expensive for the beer it is) don't stay here.

It is Amsterdam and it was apparently one of the cheapest options my brother found around that city. I heartily recommend all fellow travelers to point blank avoid this space, since it is really quite dirty and very uncourtable. We found a leak on the ground floor inside our room and the only door inside our room, that gave way to the bathroom would not close, and heck even inside the bathroom there was no soap, only a mirror designed for the tall people of the Netherlands. The floor was dirty; heck even the toilet paper was dirty The staff otherwise tried to be friendly, but I cannot just still forgive the bad state of their hotel; no matter how much you want to save in money, I sincerely tell you to rather look for other places. And for the record, I did not even like Amsterdam that much, it was very expensive and if I ever want to look at a civilized country, I shall look to Switzerland.

It more of a hostel and not a hotel, smelly hall and stairs, carpet needs replaced badly and walls need painted badly too! 😕 I was surprised with the room it was ok and fairly clean but super super basic! nice friendly staff though 👍

For a budget price hotel it was quite nice and we got what we paid for. It is a short walk from the heart of Amsterdam and is in a safe neighbourhood. But then again majority of Amsterdam is safe. There is a negative point... on the first time I had a shower at the hotel the water was cold and there was no hot water. However the next day there was hot water.

Basic hotel. Just a small bed and a small shower. Too much money for what you get. Room was small on 3th floor, no elevator, shower was very small, burned myself on the boiling pipes wich are not covered. Service was OK, nothing special. Location also not really ideal. Overall not worth it.

The staff was very friendly. One of our key-cards got stolen and she was very understanding and gave us a new one, with no extra cost. The room we had served it's purpose, but could have been a bit less damaged for the price we paid. Like, the toilet door handle almost fell off. They did make the bed every day and gave us new towels. Location wise, about 20 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam, where all the restaurants and shops are.

Every year (for more than 30 years!) we go to Barbacan with the family. A super nice place, good service and clean/spacious apartments. Always feels like coming home.

Bed Bugs, Bed Bugs, Bed Bugs The hotel stated they ONLY change all linens after a complaint of bed bugs. This doesn't fix anything. They live in the wood under the bed. They have had multiple complaints of bed bugs recently. DO NOT STAY HERE. The service was great, But any manager and owner should understand how to fix bed bugs and changing the linens is not It.

Relatively cheap, but when we first walked into our rooms there was still garbage from the previous guests and the beds were not made yet. We left the hotel and when we came back ~2h later the room was cleaned tho.

If I could have given 0 stars I would have done so. Following covid and confinement, I had to cancel my reservation which had to be refunded up to 100% with supporting proof. However, it is August and I still have not been reimbursed for this trip which dates back to April. The hotel does not respond to any calls, emails, contacts via Facebook or via hotels.com They pretend to be dead while they read the messages (mail receipt receipt, and they saw the messages on Facebook). I find it unacceptable to be robbed like this. I strongly advise against it. To flee.
