For $250+ a night,we got a room in an annex built in one corner of the yard. The room floor was stained. The sheets were not clean. The towels were old and ragged on the edges. The room did not have windows so we had to leave large door open at night which was not secure. The room did not have any other ventilation. Table lamp did not work. The 110 plug in the bathroom did not work. This hotel doesn't deserve even 3 stars; perhaps 1 star.

Value for money hotel on a fantastic location next to the Vondelpark. We booked the larger double room 15m², which was more than spacious enough for 2 people and their luggage. I loved the super friendly personnel, the indoor garden/ bicycle parking and the fact that we had a water boiler. Some of the towels were falling apart and stained (but were changed every day). You could hear people in the hallway and when the main door was shut without slowing it down, but generally had a good night sleep.

Honestly say it's a good value for money, the room was not too big but clean, private toilet, and adjustable heating. I'm travelling to Amsterdam from several years and is very rare to find out better at the same price. The guys at the reception were kind and helpful. I'll be back for sure soon.

Only giving an extra star for location. What a rip off. Such small rooms the toppers don’t stay on the beds. The breakfast is not worth the extra money. Can’t even have two people get ready in the room at same time. Hotel staff was pleasant. There is absolutely no way to shower without it flooding the bathroom. There is no door. Can rent bikes which was nice too but most definitely not worth 280 a night.

Was good. Great location for sure. If you're paying a good price expect it to be small. My advice if you want something cheaper is find accommodation outside the center of Amsterdam and get a bike to ride in. But if you can afford this location it is perfect, and super friendly staff.

The hotel staff told us that there was no problem that we showed up at 7am to Amsterdam. They said they’ll see us there. When we arrived at the hotel, it was closed. We had to wait outside for an hour. It was not told to us that the lobby opens 8. We paid 960€ for three people for three nights and it is not worth it. The bed had a brown stain, the room looks shabby and the toilet is designed in a way that makes to whole floor wet after showering. I know I’d never stay here again unless the rooms were absolutely dirt cheap.

How are places like this allowed to operate ? I am really asking. Totally unacceptable levels of cleaning. This place should be inspected by an official government body. Really the hygiene is so bad. The whole place is crawling with huge bed bugs. Mouse/rats and lots of other unidentifiable bugs and creatures. Bathroom is small and dirty. Location is not good. Very far from centre. Don't feel safe in the area. Lots of people hanging around the hotel. Seemed like a homeless shelter. Bad smells everywhere. Staff look like they are being held against there will and from what I hear they are not treated good. 1 of them was working 16 hour shifts. This is really the worst hotel in Amsterdam. I genuinely struggle with how this place is allowed to operate. Disappointed and disgusted. Really loud inside and out so no chance of sleep. Smell of drugs and damp in the whole building. Mold and leaking showers. Truly a travellers worst nightmare. So do not give them your money. Honestly better crack dens that this total hole. If I haven't said enough please read the other reviews. It's clear this place with get closed soon

Small but good hotel. The rooms (standard size) were sufficient for 2 days, clean and the bed very comfortable. The location is ideal, you can reach everything on foot. Only parking in the city is very expensive from experience

Receptionist lady was excellent, very helpful and accomodating . She gave us balcony room that is nice and clean.

The location is good. But if you are charging 200 euros you should have an AC and if not atleast have a fan that gives air. Other then that rooms were nice. But you vent enjoy anything if you are burning.

Room was dirty. Under the bad I found 3 old socks and a tabaco package. Also there was a giant hair clump on the carpet. Cleaning should definitely do a more serious job. Also while checking staff was not friendly. Next time in Amsterdam we would choose something different

It's not worth the €300. The room and bathroom are small. The toilet seat was broken. Carpets are stained. I'm glad we didn't bring a cat with. There would be no space to swing it.

Stayed here for a few days. Great location, but the room was freezing. I got a heater from the front desk but it basically had zero heat. The bed was decent. Wouldn't stay again. They call this 3 star, but it's more like 2.

Spectacular location. The rooms are very dated but clean and perfectly serviceable. Staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Great location and room service accomodation but the room we stayed in had quite a lot of carpet stains and some stains/mold on the sheets as well, no bed bugs though.

I stayed in a room in the annex. The room was in a bad state (stained carpets, mouldy bathroom, old towels, uncomfortable bed, partially exposed outlet).

The ratings to me seemed better than the hotel deserved. However the location was excellent. No room fridge, or microwave, tiny shower room where everything gets wet. Again it was just okay.

Had a girl's trip in Amsterdam. All 3 of us enjoyed the room we stayed in. The bathroom was quite tiny but the room was clean. The front desk staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the city. They were always a pleasure to greet! The hotel's also in a quiet street close to all the main attractions. We would definitely consider staying there again when in Amsterdam.

Brilliant Consierge - super friendly with local knowledge and always smiling! Great location very close to the center and opposite a park. Spar shop 1minute walk away

The hotel employees were very nice, the location was very good and everything was clean, the main issue was the size of the room and the bathroom, if you take a shower it will flood the bathroom. Just hope they can fix this

For the most part, room is enough for two people, quite small but you can manage. Downside is they have no air conditioning so it gets very stuffing and unbearable if it’s been a hot day or had a hot shower as there is no ventilation in the bathroom. Bathroom floor gets flooded after a shower due to no door or curtain. Wouldn’t recommend for the price you pay and what you get. Upside is the towels are changed everyday but no mini fridge to put your drinks in or no replacing of your sachets of sugar, coffee etc. so if you wanted to have multiple coffee/tea you couldn’t. Personally, the bed we had was quite comfortable, however sheets were stained and both woke up with itchy spots all over body every night, maybe suggesting bed bugs. Location was perfect and close to everything. Beautiful park across the street

There were stains on the carpets and sheets. Looking at the light fitting and smoke alarm, one needed to be cleaned and the other needed a hole in the ceiling to be filled up. There was also a hole in one of the net curtains. All I would add is, this hotel in a brilliant location

I've only stayed one night. Really small double room in the attic. No air condition only a fan, it was really warm. Some stains on the wall but bathroom was a decent size and clean. Check in is from 2pm but had to wait longer. Luggage can be stored during the day.

The staff was friendly and the hotel location is great but the rooms are small, dirty with stains everywhere and ripped up curtains. There is no AC and, in summer, it is unbearably hot at night. Especially since only a very small windows could be opened in the room where we stayed. No mini bar in the room, no bar or restaurant. You can store your luggage but they don't check if you are only taking yours. On top of all that, it is overly expensive.

Great location, but room very small, good window view, we slept comfortably but the sheets had some red dots. The bad thing is that u take a shower and the whole floor in the bedroom is wet they need to fix this. Its also impossible to wash ur face in the tiny washing basin

Best value hotel near city center

Cleaning lady woke us up every single day using the only word she knows in English - "cleaning?". Obviously, we always asked her to come back within an hour or so in order for us to get ready and leave the hotel. We stayed there for 4 days and only once was our room actually cleaned. Furthermore, bed sheets don't seem to be changed quite often and we had to ask for new sheets and change them ourselves on the first night. Other than the cleaning matter, the stuff were very kind and helpful when we asked for anything

Small, but Clean Rooms for a good Price with everything you need for a Trip where you want to visit the City and not the Hotel Room. Service was very friendly. And its a perfect location in the middle of Amsterdam with the Museumsquarter and Joordan only a few minutes away.

Nice rooms. Best feature is the location, right next to the rijks museum, moco museum and vondel park.
