I really liked this hotel. The room was surprisingly spacious for something so close to the heart of Amsterdam. It's only 7 minutes by tram from Amsterdam Centraal which is very convenient. I like how you can now use a credit card to check in and check out of the tram. It's very convenient. Back to the room. The only down sides are the stairs are very steep and the person taking a shower has no privacy. Probably not recommended if traveling with just a friend.

Location is good, lot of f&b options nearby. No lift and super narrow+steep stairs are not easy, especially for a short stay with luggage/suitcases. Rooms are quirky, well furnished but small.

Stayed here as a couple for two nights. The hotel is located in a fairly busy area and was a little noisy on the Saturday night, but nothing to complain about. The location is ideal for catching trams etc to get around Amsterdam. We were greeted with a smile and service was great throughout! The only down downside to our stay was our room. It was a decent size with everything we needed, however it was very poorly lit. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy hotel 😊

Wonderful family run hotel. The son was very kind and helped us book some restaurants. We would gladly go back!

My partner and I had a great stay at Hotel Frank Since 1666! We stayed in the Junior Suite for a week and we were very comfortable. The staircases are quite steep, which may cause problems for tourists with mobility issues, but this is to be expected in canal homes in Amsterdam. The hotel is in a great location just around the corner from Rembrantplein. The family who runs the hotel is helpful and kind. Our room was cleaned thoroughly daily and the bed linens, pillows, and bath towels were comfortable. The Junior Suite was spacious with a big window that opened out to the canal below. The AC worked very well, too. We would stay at Hotel Frank again if we found ourselves in Amsterdam in the future!

Very central quirky little boutique hotel, lovely staff, beautiful, clean rooms. Not fit for anybody with accessibility issues as stairs are very steep and narrow but apart from that it is beautiful, right on the canal front just off rembrandt Square. Easy walking distance to anywhere (apart from the airport) 80€ in a taxi to hotel!!

Very nice people, good location. Our room got a little hot and they were able to provide us with a fan promptly. No other issues. Highly recommend.

An amazing hotel in a very central location, right next to the bars and all the fun venues! Apart from its location, I also love its interior design! The neighborhood is also quiet after a certain hour. And it is forbidden to speak loudly after a certain time. But don't be afraid of it, it's free in bars and clubs :) I can definitely recommend it. I think the Price is very suitable for its centrality and location.

This is a very good 3 stars hotel. Service was amazingly friendly and efficient! Our room was convenient but could've been a bit bigger and brighter. Very good bed, bed linens and towels. Nice touch - Nespresso coffee machine with capsules being replenish daily and also electric kettle.

Totally enjoyed our stay, here. The room was pleasant and well designed and the bed comfortable and the staff were always nearby and helpful. Note that as with many places in Amsterdam, the stairs are steep and space is limited. It is also a long walk from Centraal. We would have been happy for a few more hocks for hanging things. Highly recommend. Do NOT miss the Italian restaurant across the canal.

We stayed in one of the attic suites so our room was especially nice but all of them are very well appointed and an interesting mix of old and new. I love the ancient brick walls made into showers and the wonky wooden beams. Rooms have nespresso coffee machines etc . Hotel is quiet and in a lovely location with great views. Many rooms need steep stairs to be climbed which may not be possible for some. Note there is no breakfast facility here.

What a lovely stylish boutique Hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam. Easy to find easy to get around from. Our room was lovely very modern and spacious and spotless. The bed was comfy and the facilities were immaculate. Only small gripe was the windows couldn't open properly because the property is on a slant (Old Dutch Town House). We could see other visitors had obviously tried to open the window as the ceiling was scrapped and chipped. We stayed in the Premium double room with the Canal View. I would suggest to have the ceiling patched up and maybe a sign to say not to open that particular window. 😉 Wasn't an issue for us in Feb but it may be during the summer months. Other than that our room was perfect and staff were a delight, definitely be coming back there again soon!

Really great experience of living in an old building in Amsterdam. The service was fantastic. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They helped us with the bags all the time and they offered us free stuff. Location wise, perfectly location for going out at night! Highly recommended for a fantastic experience!

Quirky old 1666 Boutique Amsterdam Hotel with great updates which will make you feel part of the young & vibrant scene of the Rembrandt plein! Right on the canal and very comfortable rooms! WiFi worked great! Your hosts are a great family who are always there to help you- including carrying your bags up and down the stairs! No lift so not great for young children or those with mobility issues. We had a great time here and would come again!

Located in the middle of city centre. There are lots of bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. Staff are all very friendly. My room had a canal view and was very spacious. Highly recommended to stay when visiting Amsterdam

I stayed in the queen room. I loved it. The room is really pretty styled and I slept fantastic. The shower is really nice and the room is big. It’s in the middle of Amsterdam so everything is nearby. The only thing I missed was a long mirror and a lock on the restroom. These are really just some things that could make my stay perfect and they aren’t meant as complaints !

Stop what you’re doing right now and BOOK this hotel!! I stayed over last weekend (I’m a solo traveller) and when I say I was SOOO pleased with everything about this hotel, I mean it. First of all, the staff are BRILLIANT. Kind, helpful, friendly & sweet. The reception was open 24/7, my rooms were made up every day, the location is WONDERFUL! Pretty much 15 mins to get everywhere (less on trams). Check in was so quick and smooth (I even checked in 3 hours early), check out was just as smooth. I was able to leave my luggage for a few hours on my last day (post checkout). For the people complaining about the noise - my room was facing the bars and I was on the first floor. To be honest, I could hear some noise but get with it, that’s what you get for a centrally located hotel. You’ll most likely find that kind of (bearable fyi) noise everywhere. Also, it honestly wasn’t even that bad! You’re so tired from walking everywhere that you’re fast asleep before the debauchery really even begins. I’d give it a 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’ll definitely be coming back again ❤️

My fiancé and I had the most wonderful 3 night stay in Amsterdam and this hotel was the crowing glory of it. Our room was so lovely that we actually ended up spending more time in the hotel than we had planned to. The room was very stylishly decorated and had tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely comfortable bed with nice pillows, a nice big shower and an amazing view of the canal. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly in person and also incredibly helpful whilst I was making the booking. It was my fiancé’s 40th birthday and when we arrived they had put balloons and a little note on the bed for him. To top it all off, the hotel is perfectly located, really close to all the touristy stuff. When we next come to Amsterdam, I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else!

Will give them full marks for hospitality! The front desk even helped out carrying our heavy bags to the 3rd floor. Room was on the top with a rooftop balcony. Tiny but super cool coz we could hang out on the roof top people watching with fabulous canal views. Ahmazing location next to a popular square (Rembrandt)! Lots of bars and cafes rt next door to hang out. This place is definitely not for families. The shower is part of the room with glass enclosure. The A/c unit barely pumped any air! The stairs to climb up are soo narrow that if u miss a step by an inch, you will fall and break your ankle. No elevator since its from 1666. Would highly recommend for couples or friends but not for families.

The staff was always very friendly and welcoming. They provide great customer service. The location was unbeatable! We stayed in a basement room. The room wasn't bad but you're definitely paying for the location. There was AC, but it barely pumped air, so the room took a while to get comfortable. You can hear everyone; the walls and floors/ceilings are that thin. Curtains or better window blinds would be nice at least in the basement rooms because (one of them wasn't functional) you could see into the room from the outside entry way.

Frank hotel was amazing overall. The room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and amazing views to the canal!! The service was 10/10, and Frank was very kind and helped us a lot. The location of the hotel couldnt be better, Very centric! I hope I can repeat my stay at this hotel next time I visit Amsterdam. Totally recommend it!!

We stayed here for 5 days in room 102. At first I thought the receptionist were really really shy, he didn’t say much and spoke very quietly. But I have to say, they all grew on me. Friendly, helpful, lovely people. So cozy and warm feeling! The room was very nice and the cleaning was perfect everyday. We loved our stay here ❤️ The only thing that was a bit annoying was the warm temperature, maybe we could have said something, but we did fine, just opened the windows. I’m also a bit sensitive to strong perfumes and sometimes I thought it smelled a bit to much in our room - but like before, we could have said something, I’m sure they would have made everything to make our stay ever better! Thanks for this time! And thanks for the lovely morning coffee before heading to the airport ☕️

😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night. Also noisy because of the "cigarette smokers". There are no rules and regulations - or if t...
