The
pros
for
this
hotel
are
the
rates
and
the
service.
Hotel
staff
is
exceptionally
friendly
and
helpful
from
the
front
desk
to
housekeeping
to
the
restaurant
staff.
And
the
rates
are
low
for
Amsterdam.
The
design
is
interesting--a
twist
on
the
late
mid-century
in
earth
tones
and
natural
fibers:
flannel,
hemp,
wood.
It's
edgy,
but
not
totally
outlandish,
like
some
Amsterdam
hotels.
The
walk
to
the
metro
station
is
much
faster
than
I
had
anticipated,
so,
you
can
get
to
the
center
quite
easily
and
rapidly.
Rooms
vary
in
size
and
feeling
of
luxury:
I
stayed
in
a
Premium
Double
room
twice
and
the
Deluxe
Double
room
once.
I
definitely
think
it's
worth
the
extra
money
to
get
the
higher-tier
room,
the
Deluxe
Double.
It
was
more
spacious
with
wrap-around
windows
that
brought
in
a
lot
of
light
the
lower
tier
rooms
don't
get.
Each
of
the
Premium
Double
rooms
also
varied
in
quality.
I
found
the
first
quite
a
bit
nicer,
and
it
felt
larger
than
my
second
experience.
The
restaurant
runs
all
day
with
a
half-hour
kitchen
break
between
breakfast
and
lunch.
There
are
a
few
healthy
options
in
the
mainly
Dutch
comfort
food
menu.
The
restaurant
got
very
busy
at
times,
but
I
never
felt
neglected.
Free
perks
include
a
mini-bar
stocked
with
complimentary
beverages
and
snacks,
as
well
as
bottles
of
water
and
apples
by
reception.
I
will
definitely
be
back.
