I don’t recommend this hotel at all, we had a very bad experience. Here’s why: 1. They promised to pick us up from the airport, but they did not. 2. They said the room size is good for two people, but it was very small and dirty, we ended up upgrading by paying extra. 3. The hotel closes its doors at night, some nights we had to wait hours until someone would open the door. 4. The hotel location is relatively far from the centre and taxi or Ubers would cost you a lot. 5. PLEASE READ THIS!! I smoke outside so sometimes i keep the cigarette filters in my pocket to throw them in the rubbish pin (to avoid throwing it in the street) they saw some filters in the rubbish bin in the room, and accused us of smoking inside! They charged us 250 euros extra, even though we explained and didn’t give consent. Also, the manager was extremely rude in handling the matter. 6. Food is good but boring. Hope this helps anyone who thinks about going..

Lovely hotel on quiet residential street that was the perfect answer to a busy, hectic day in the city. The accommodations comfortably served our needs with a delightful window view of the street and waking to birds chirping in the morning. Polite and helpful Staff. Free apples and water were always available. We would most definitely make this our choice for future stays.

The pros for this hotel are the rates and the service. Hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff. And the rates are low for Amsterdam. The design is interesting--a twist on the late mid-century in earth tones and natural fibers: flannel, hemp, wood. It's edgy, but not totally outlandish, like some Amsterdam hotels. The walk to the metro station is much faster than I had anticipated, so, you can get to the center quite easily and rapidly. Rooms vary in size and feeling of luxury: I stayed in a Premium Double room twice and the Deluxe Double room once. I definitely think it's worth the extra money to get the higher-tier room, the Deluxe Double. It was more spacious with wrap-around windows that brought in a lot of light the lower tier rooms don't get. Each of the Premium Double rooms also varied in quality. I found the first quite a bit nicer, and it felt larger than my second experience. The restaurant runs all day with a half-hour kitchen break between breakfast and lunch. There are a few healthy options in the mainly Dutch comfort food menu. The restaurant got very busy at times, but I never felt neglected. Free perks include a mini-bar stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks, as well as bottles of water and apples by reception. I will definitely be back.

Had an amazing stay at Hotel V Fizeaustraat. Honestly don’t have a bad word to say. The room was superb (love the interior design, spacious), service was excellent/super friendly, treated to champagne upon arrival, free snacks in the room, free drinks voucher to use at bar, free water and apples. Definitely would recommend to anybody looking to stay somewhere safe and secluded in Amsterdam. Location is perfect - just about a 10 minute straight easy walk to the metro station, grocery store along the way if you need any snacks! Thank you for an incredible stay x

Loved it!!! Our flight was late so we booked last minute, and wow was that lucky because this hotel is SUPER! everything was easy, rooms are huge for Amsterdam standard, clean and pampering, breakfast was wonderful, lunch was fantastic... really everything about this place is great. Location isn't super central but Amsterdam Amstel is right around the corner meaning easy public transport not just all over Amsterdam, but anywhere in NL ;)

Modern yet beautiful and most importantly, a peaceful hotel that gives a pleasant experience while still not being too far away from the city center. The restaurant is great addition that serve quality food (went for dinner only though, which was worth the bill paid). The view from the room (Premium Double in my case) was the icing on the cake and the availability of slippers/bath robe was a nice touch. However, the only downside was extremely uncomfortable pillows, which led to not having any decent sleep during my whole stay (as well as the bed, which had a gap between two mattresses and made sleeping a bit uncomfortable). Otherwise, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

great and modern rooms decorated in a somewhat industrial style, friendly staff even at a very late hour, within 10 min walk of public transport directly from Amsterdam Centraal. The only thing which caught me by suprise was a 150 Eur deposit you had to do at check-in (both cash and card are accepted).Other than that, I had a great stay.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. About 500m flat access walk to the nearest metro. Room was nice with a modern design. Staff were really informative and provided a lot of information on landmarks and attractions in Amsterdam, so it's great for someone who has never been to the city before. Complimentary apple and water at the lobby which was a nice touch.

Beautiful hotel in a charming, quiet neighbourhood. The service was excellent and we received free water and beer in our room. We thought the location might have been far from the city center, but we were pleased to find that a quick 7 minute train would take us directly into the city. Our room was clean and ready for our early check in. I would definitely recommend this hotel for future travellers!

A fantastic hotel with really great staff. Welcomed in with a glass of bubbly, room was large, spacious and really nicely decorated. Free beer, lemonade and snacks plus a coffee machine and kettle with tea. Toiletries included and topped up daily. Location is a little out of the city but a 10-15 minute walk to the metro. Rooms were quiet. Films available free on the TV in room.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. Very stylish. For a Business Meeting in a kind of living room with day light more than ok.

We had dinner here as a group. Setting was nice and food tasted great! Only point might be that they could ask a bit more often if people wanted drinks beside the table wines. It’s a long way outside the city center. Outside there is not much to do.

The worst hotel of this ilk I've stayed in. More comparable to a countryside B&B. No shops / food nearby, the guests are mostly older, and the bar "restaurant" with limited menu is quite fried and closes early. Most urban boutique hotels will have a beer / wine in-room or behind desk after hours, not here folks. early to bed, early to rise! Given nothing is nearby the bike rental might not be less of anrip off, nope use Donkey Republic app for better bikes, half cost🤦‍♂️ Asking questions of the staff (always outnumbered the guests) and then eventually the manager indicate few procedures in place. No idea what Monocle was thinking rating it top pick 🤷‍♂️

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff were friendly and helpful. The interior design and the energy of the space were fitting and harmonic. However, our room was a little small and dark. The hotel is conveniently located at an equal distance between Schipol Airport and the City Center. It takes around 20-25 minutes to get to the center. Housekeeping service was great too. Over all I would recommend it to those who don't want to stay in the crowded center of the city.

Pros : very nice hotel and great decoration. Also, reception staff was able to change our room immediately when we realized there were 2 single beds. Cons : while waiters are very nice, service at the bar / restaurant is way too slow, cleaning staff come knocking at doors around 9 am including on check out day…

Close to Amstel Station five minutes levelled walk, the surrounding area is very peaceful hotel lobby bar is very welcoming and definitely recommend breakfast. Scrambled egg as well as American pancakes are my favorite. I enjoyed my stay and hope you do too.

What a fantastic hotel! The staff, the excellent restaurant and most of all the room. I absolutely loved it. The room is warm and feels so beautifully designed that I almost wish my house would be like that. Great job design team.

Simply an amazing stay at this Hotel. Not only was it located within a convenient distance to the city‘s main areas, yet it was quiet to relax after an eventful day. Most lovely was the staff which was always considerate and friendly and cared to Mark our wishes possible. If you stay Here you can enjoy The refined Quality and sophisticated service of a hip and super well designed premium hotel, an experience which you have long to look for in other places. I can only recommend The Hotel V in Fizeaustraat for anyone planning to stay in Amsterdam and treating themselves with an additional surplus. Brilliant.

The hotel is located in an building which used to be an office building. It has a bus stop close by and station for subway and train on a 3-5 min walking distance. Easy to get to from the freeway. The hotel itself is designed nicely. Green, black and gold are colors you see returning. The staff is friendly and they do both the front desk as café restaurant duties. COVID restrictions are being followed correctly. Checking went quick and easy. No upgrade as an AMEX card holder. One elevator good for 2 people. The doors from the elevator to the rooms are only accessible with a keycard. Once in the room you could see it was repurposed to being a hotel. Nice interior design. Bathroom looked clean and new. The bed was nice and the pillow felt good. As for noise, I didn't hear any street sounds despite being close to a road. But it could hear the building from time to time. I was on the 3rd floor and had a view towards the residential area and main road. There is a walking area close by for those interested. And downstairs the restaurant/café called De Lobby. Everything can be charged on the room.

Beautiful, rustic hotel. Very cozy, a warm welcoming staff, super tasting apples and welcome drinks at the reception. 5 minutes away the central metro station. Location is brilliant, away from the touristy spots, noise and chaos; yet 15 minutes away from everything.

Location was one of the best pros honestly as its not far from center ( by train - metro etc.. ) and very quiet Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times Room wasnt so big but good enough for 2 persons (2 single beds) Overall id recommend this for anyone who looks for a quiet friendly staffed hotel 👌🏻

Fabulous hotel. Stylish interior, great food in the restaurant. Service was impeccable. Everyone genuinely looked like they enjoyed working there & it kind of shows. Big comfortable beds & a welcome glass of bubbles on arrival. Would definitely stay there again when in Amsterdam

Our favourite place to stay in Amsterdam for years. Great & quiet location, relatively close to the center and all main roads out of Amsterdam. Great service, good Lobby bar with their drinks & food. Safe underground parking (recommended more than parking on street, once got the car window smashed there). Perfectly looking rooms with great beds!

Amazing hotel. In a quiet area not too far from the more lively parts of Amsterdam. Has great amenities, nice hotel rooms and a lovely lounge and restaurant where you can really relax. Will visit again!

The hotel design is great and the premium room was comfortable. The hotel is in the suburbs with no restaurant options within walking distance (except the hotel restaurant). We were there for 6 days and tried to move to one of the sister hotels closer to the city but the cancelation policy is strict, no changes.

we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel 💕 you will be greeted with a welcome drink and friendly staff who would show a lot about the city with you! all the front desk staff were super friendly and professional! you can even get bottled water and apples at the lobby which keeps us healthy :) the hotel and the room look amazing, and i love in particular the toiletries they provided 😍 they smelt amazing! the only thing is that the we didn't have housekeeping service on the first day. the front desk staff told us we requested no housekeeping but i don't remember we did 🤔, but she helped us cancel the request right away. we had our room cleaned the next day but it happened again one day after, the staff though after hearing us not getting housekeeping, she gave me a bunch of toiletries right away 🥹😆🤍 location wise, it's around 20 mins from the central, a bit distant in my opinion but it's located in a quiet and safe residential area and it's also very convenient for us to go to Rotterdam from Amstel where the hotel is. overall, i like the hotel a lot and will highly recommend it! 🥰

Our room was nice, we had space and it was also cozy. The bathroom and room were very clean and the room service did a good job. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our trip, you can buy transportation cards for the bus and metro at the desk! It was conveniently very close to Amstel Station, a metro station that can take you to the city

Lovely staff and gorgeous hotel. The dim lights and layout are my kind of vibe, especially on rainy days. The included minibar and drink coupons upon check-in was a delightful surprise. I never book hotel brekkie, but I am glad I did this time… everything is made to order and big portions. I highly recommended the Turkish poached eggs and American blueberry pancakes. Everything is ideal, but the location has nothing within walking distance. The closest restaurant or train is 10-15mins walk away. Then another 20 to Amsterdam centraal. If you want to see Amsterdam, this is not the place for you. Come here for a lovely stay-cation or a nice and relaxing calm before your long flight home. I will be back!

Really friendly staff. Super fancy rooms and interior design. Very calm and peaceful neighborhood, close to a big park were you can relax and chill.

Amazing hotel and location. It's about 6-7 minutes from the metro station from where you can catch the 51, 52 or 54 towards Centraal and the metro is literally every 3 min or so taking less than 8 minutes to the city. The rooms were quite spacious and had industrial decor. It's in a residential area so not much around the hotel.

Great hotel, with super comfy beds and friendly staff. The breakfast is good with multiple options both sweet and salty. The bar at night is perfect for a drink after work.

Had to reschedule a reservation due to corona restrictions but the hotel showed zero tolerance to it. There was no discussion and the receptionist was very cold and un-kind. I guess that if you want to stay with Hotel V Fizeaustraat you should possess super natural abilities to foresee the future. I thought there would be more tolerance for changes in these times. Will not book with this hotel again.

Excellent Hotel. Great service. Stylish and Comfortable rooms. The restaurant and bar was also excellent. Slightly out of the city but highly recommend.

The location and interior were nice but somehow the keycards kept malfunctioning, the restaurant service was slow and confused with their own system and room service comes at weird times. Also, breakfast is overpriced and overly fancy

  • 4/5 Elif G. 2 years ago on Google
The cleaner I guess didn’t clean the room properly because there was a lot of dust which was not good and the bathroom was also not cleaned well. When we shared the situation with the receptionist, he didn’t even say sorry :/ The decor is very cool.

A really warm welcome - professional and reassuring reassuring in terms of health and safety. The room was incredible - spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. As to the staff - super friendly. I'll definitely return when next in Amsterdam. Thank you for looking after me.

Room was clean and enjoyable. However, the service of breakfast was awful. Waiters weren’t involved with customers ( us particulary). Forgetting ours coffres, cutlery, fruit jus… Huffing when asked again our fruit jus. And coffee and tee are not unlimited… As said in the reviews by the manager. One coffee or tee per person! They should manage their employees better.

Wonderful stay at Hotel V - 7 minute walk from metro/trams and you're then 6 minute metro ride into centre of town or 25 minutes on a scenic tram ride. Room was beautifully decorated, love the different ways they are trying to make the hotel more environmentally friendly and encourage sustainability. Comfortable bed, amazing TV options if you want a quiet night in (they have the option to watch films in room for free), quiet area, really friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast with good options (we paid from the menu rather than having breakfast included as it worked out cheaper that way). You are not in the centre of Amsterdam - so you need to travel in but it is super easy to do so, so dont let that put you off. I would recommend a stay here and will book again in future.

Generally a very nice Hotel with a really good Restaurant and Bar (the Lobby) nicely styled. Service was always friendly and overall it was really extremely clean and in great modern style. Gym was missing at the Hotel and also some small things where just a bit worn down. Overall though a good Hotel with nice touch to it. definitely worth a stay.

Situated at a very ideal location, this hotel sits on a serene and beautiful residential corner. A bus stop is at its front and a small centralized tram, bus,& metro station is only a 6 min walk away. The room is bright with natural lighting and has a beautiful view. It’s spacious and is decorated tastefully. Everything is arranged sensibly with maximum usable space, unlike most hotel rooms. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The restaurant, bar, and lounge has a good vibe. The only down side may be that the service can be slow at times. But, nobody is perfect.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel V. The rooms and whole interior of the hotel is very relaxed and special. We very much enjoyed the comfy bed and spacious room. The breakfast is a la cart and right now 55eur for two people if you book in advance. You can choose a savory and sweet dish with coffee, tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had different dishes and everything was delicious except the granola was a bit disappointing because it tasted a bit old. Everyone is very accommodating and helpful. We really enjoyed the free apple and water you can take with you before starting to explore the city. The location near Amstel Station is also very good. We took a trip by train to The Hague and it was really easy to get there.

This is the second time we have stayed at V Hotel, the first was 7 years ago and the hotel was about 3 months old! Now after 7 years everything is still perfect! The rooms, the furniture, the design are still like new! And the hospitality is great! Excellent experience! Highly recommended!!!
