My girlfriend had booked me a holiday to Amsterdam for my birthday. We were so excited to go as its a place both of us had always wanted to visit. Unfortunately, the dutch government put in place a partial lockdown due to covid meaning that we wouldn't be able to experience the real Amsterdam. After speaking to our airline KLM they were happy to accommodate us with a refund, credit voucher or an alternative destination. So we thought we would speak to Monet Garden Hotel and see if they could also be accommodating. After speaking to a rude customer service lady, we were advised that no refund would be provided. We appreciate that covid has hit the hospitality industry heavy but we paid for our accommodation upfront with all good intentions and to try and save my birthday we were hoping they would be more accommodating and at least provide us with a credit to go back at a later date but this was also rudely refused! I would strongly think twice before booking with this hotel!!!

Loved our stay in this charming hotel , our rooms were clean with beautiful view of the canal , all the staff were amazingly attentive. ( which attracted me their way of greeting us whenever we leave and come back with a smile ) .. Especial thanks to the reception manager ( Tomas ) for his kind treatment.

Monet Garden is a lovely hotel, in good proximity to walk to many destinations. The staff is warm and friendly. They offer a comprehensive breakfast buffet. The rooms are secure because your key card will allow the elevator to go to your floor. We had a nice view of the canal. Room and bathroom were very clean, with a rain shower. We recommend Monet Garden, and we would stay there again!

We stayed here for a long weekend in Amsterdam and had such a nice experience at this hotel! The staff are super friendly and kind, always greeting you when you walk in and very willing to help with recommendations! The room is also really comfortable, and it was great to have the AC over some warmer days. The location is also perfect - very quiet in the immediate area but so walkable to many great areas of Amsterdam. We will definitely be back. Thanks again to the lovely staff!

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our honeymoon and everything was fabulous. We arrived early in the morning and we had arranged the taxi service, which was the best idea after travelling for nearly 16 hours. Omar was overly accommodating and sat with us as we charged our phones, helped us figure out a game plan for the day, and provided excellent recommendations for food and activities in the area. Our room was made top priority and was ready by noon, at which time Omar alerted us via WhatsApp immediately. We ordered the bubbles and sour candies and they did not disappoint. The shower floods a bit, but we put a towel in front of it and it was fine. The air conditioner didn't get the room very cold, but we managed. The breakfast was delicious. I got the ala cart breakfast evey time and it was great! Recommend it over the buffet, unless you want a waffle. Shower amenities were great. Service was impeccable. Workout room was very nice, and they only allow one person in it at a time, so very private! When. It was time to leave, we arranged a taxi through the hotel for 40euros and within 3 minutes, it was there. Overall - 10/10. Would totally stay here again. I hope Omar still works there!

This boutique hotel delivers on its promise of a comfortable room with good service. I stayed in June 2023 and my experience was flawless. I like the convenience of the location. It is very close to the central train station and cruise port. Around the corner are some grocery shops which made getting snacks and fresh food very easy. Central Amsterdam is very walkable and it was no trouble reaching all of the major museums and attractions. I would stay here again on future trips to Amsterdam.

No decency or humanity during COVID. Stay FAR away from Monet Garden Hotel! They will happily rip you off. We had a Europe trip planned for the holidays. A month before, the COVID conditions looked awful in the Netherlands with riots, partial lockdowns and crazy high cases. We made the tough decision to cancel our trip for safety. We were fully refunded for most services – including our KLM flights and every other hotel we booked in Amsterdam and Berlin. Not Monet Garden Hotel... We kindly made the request for a refund more than 30 days in advance given the change in COVID conditions. The office manager, Jorn Metternich, refused to accommodate us on any kind of partial refund. Even though we said there would be no way we could come from the US, they happily said "we hope to see you" and took the $1250 USD for a service we were unable to use. We had booked a New Years' stay and sure enough Amsterdam became FULLY locked down then, which is no way to experience the city as a traveler! Our decision to cancel was spot on. We are heartbroken. We saved the entire year for this international trip and because of Monet Garden's indecency, we will be unable to travel for some time now :(

Our stay at Monet Garden was great. The staff was super friendly! We arrived early from an international flight and they were able to accommodate us by letting us check in early which we appreciated so much. The room was clean and hotel was nice and quiet. We also got a souvenir keychain when we checked out which was really cute, thank you!

My husband and I recently stayed a week at the Monet Garden Hotel Amsterdam. We were extremely impressed and happy with how accommodating and welcoming the staff was. The hotel was pretty, extremely tidy and clean, and staff was very attentive. We had a pleasant view of the canal from our bedroom. Location was close to neighboring markets and walking distance of several restaurants and bakeries. The staff surprised us on our wedding anniversary with flower petals and chilled champagne and hand written card. Coming back to our room from a long day of touring the city and seeing this made our day extra special. It was extremely thoughtful and meaningful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We loved our stay at the Monet, from the front desk through all our stay. The stuff is friendly and professional. Breakfast had a good choice and with a great service. We felt like home :) More to that communication part went great. We had a few moments, and we had them solved fast. Thank you for the support, highly recommend!

Beautiful Hotel, staff was amazing and very welcoming. Welcome drinks was a nice unexpected touch so kudos there. Room was very clean, spacious and bed was really comfy. Bathroom was good size and loved the shower - room for 2. Worth the extra steps from the main attractions.

It's such a very nice hotel! Our room is excellent and we love the Nepresso coffee machine! There's so much to see within walking distance. Just stay off the red bike lanes, or you may get hit! Everyone bikes here to get around, and they seem in a big hurry 😁

5🌟 overall Friendly staff members, cleanliness, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and great location. I like the mini fridge by the reception where you can grab some additional water and snacks (billed to your room of course). They do replenish small bottles of water everyday in your room. They are happy for you to hold the bags before check in and after check out times. We were there earlier than standard check in time due to our flight times but as our room was ready, we were able to check in early around 1pm. Thank you team.

I booked a canal view room. It was clean and spacious. On arrival I was greeted with a lovely complimentary drink of my choice and was able to check in a tad early. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet selection was good and varied. I honestly can’t fault this hotel, I had a great stay. It’s in a good location, about a 20 minute walk from the station and from the centre, so it’s not busy or noisy.

I want to express my feelings for excellent customer support. The customer support service was very professional, fast, and most importantly, that they make decisions with humanity and empathy. I ordered a vacation in this hotel in a non refundable rate a few months back. This vacation was deducted to my son's bar mitzvah. Unfortunately, we have a critical situation in my country, and I am a nurse in duty. I can't go on vacation at this time. I reached out to customer support service to delay my reservation until the situation in my country will be better. But what surprised me was how fast, professional, and good-hearted they were. They offered me a full refund on a non refundable rate. If they responded like this to a person who even didn't go to the hotel, i can only imagine how they will act in person. I 100 percent recommend you to book a vacation in their lovely hotel and when i can i will go with my whole family there. Thank you

Beautiful boutique hotel in Amsterdam. Walking distance to everything. So convenient and in a nice area. Rooms are very comfortable. Service is excellent and the front desk staff are helpful with reservations and recommendations. Beautiful fireplace downstairs in the lobby bar is also the perfect location for an end of the evening nightcap.

Very nice hotel in central Amsterdam. Staff speak different languages. Grateful for the attention to detail : fresh towels, new coffee pods. The maid even tydied our room and folded clothes for us. This place feels like home away from home.

Room is quite spacious and mostly clean- their fixtures like the remote control for the TV was very dusty. Love their oversized towels; bed& pillows comfortable. They provide you with 2 bottles of drinking water which was meant to be replaced daily ( we only stayed 2 nights so didn't want to clean the room the next day). When we asked for more water, we were advised that the tap water is exactly the same (if so, then why provide bottled water?). To have it brought to your room( we were on the 2nd floor), there's a charge of €7. 50!!! Like really? Our TV stopped working and it took a while to get it fixed The hotel is accesible by public transport (Waterloosplein metro station), but is a bit of a walk before you reach the metro or tram ( approx 6 mins walk) There is a nearby cafe and supermarket, but not many actual restaurants nearby

Such a great establishment, first of all the staff is one of the most professional and customer oriented I have ever come across, when we complained about a stained towel they immediately sent us 2 new ones and added a bucket of sparkling wine and an apology letter(!). When I asked Max at the reception for spa recommendations he sent me an email with a list of recommended spas near the hotel with links and distance information. The room was superb, clean, well decorated and well equipped with all the amenities we wanted and more. We had a great view of the canal from our room which was fun as well. The hotel is located smack in the middle of Amsterdam in walking distance from the major tourist attractions. To top it all the price was very reasonable, it was actually a bit cheaper than another hotel we stayed at a day before that could not hold a candle to Monet hotel.

Our room was eye level with the canal, first time experience! Right next to the gym - which was pretty much all for ourselves and with free coffee in the room! We had a blast staying here

Great Hotel, quiet and clean rooms, walking distance to center/restaurants/shops/metro. Very friendly and helpful staff. Little surprises await you in your room when you return, which is a nice touch! Stayed for 10 Nights. Recommend.

We were greatly looking forward to our stay, but just after booking the Netherlands put new restrictions in place. Fortunately I was able to work with Tasos, who was great to work with and was able to facilitate cancellation. I look forward to staying once we can make it! Thank you!

Exceptional small hotel. It's new and I would dare to say better than a Marriott. It is far enough outside of the red light district to not deal with the crowd at night but still close enough to walk to most places. For the price there's no way you can beat this hotel. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and had a printed list of all the nicest restaurants in town and were happy to give recommendations. The rooms were all clean and came with more soaps and amenities than most five-star hotels. Soaps, slippers, robes, free water, coffee's, etc. All in the room. I would definitely stay here any time I'm in Amsterdam.

I requested a cancellation due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, 1 month notice, however, the hotel is not interested in offering a refund or even a partial refund or voucher. There is no customer service with compassion for the situation and they can give a refund if they wanted to given the long period of notice. They choose to refer back to terms and conditions. I will not be recommending or staying here. Beware before you book and the service you will receive when you are requesting help.

Infinitely thanks to the monet Garden Hotel for 3 unforgettable days in Amsterdam. Kindness, cleanliness and friendliness on the part of all the staff! I recommend it in all, clean rooms, room service at the top. I ordered a cake for my birthday and received it in my room with balloons and a personalized postcard from all the staff. I also want to thank the staff at the reception who helped us find a backpack that we had forgotten in the taxi on the way to the airport, in the afternoon after a sightseeing tour back to the hotel I receive the news that my backpack has been found and delivered directly to the hotel. The exceptional breakfast, salty and sweet for all tastes, what to say? Thanks we will definitely return to the Monet Garden Hotel.

Terrible terrible Hotel, with the awful general manager, duty manager and the team showing 0 interest accommodating the customers and looking for any way to charge u extra money. They even charged me for the in room complimentary water, saying that it comes first night only for free!!! . Just watch out never book there if ur looking for a good time in beautiful amsterdam

Great staff, good location, and well decorated rooms. My only con was the bed which wasn’t all that comfortable, partly because the double bed was two twins pushed together (I think based on how it felt.) The gym was a great bonus as it had everything you need for a holiday level workout. Our room also had a fantastic view of the canal and having it on the lower floor made it feel as though you are right on top of the water.

Great boutique hotel. At check in we where offered tea and coffee. The lobby has a relaxing fireplace and a bar area. The room was very clean. The bathroom is new. The room had a coffee maker and a separate tea pot. It also had an iron, ironing board and blow dryer. We didn't hear any noise.

this holiday was 2 years overdue after the covid pandemic. we booked via booking.com which was non refundable. Booking.com would not budge from this, however after contacting the hotel they were more than happy to assist. we needed to cancel twice which was not a problem and we have just spent 4 incredible days in Amsterdam. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was to die for. thank you ever so much and would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel near the center of Amsterdam. You can easily walk to the central station or Dam square, in 10 minutes. The room is very clean and fully equipped. It is also very quiet, no noises from outside or from rooms next door. The staff is highly professional, kind and helpful. Breakfast is great too, worths trying.

The night before my stay I had an issue with my airlines and didn’t think I was going to be able to get back to the states. I called to see if I could get a refund the night before my trip. The girl who answered the phone was very nice but said it’s to short notice and it wouldn’t be possible. I asked to speak to the manager, Tasso( sorry if misspelled) was so nice, I could tell he cared and was willing to work with me. Luckily I was able to make my trip. The hotel is very very clean, staff is all very helpful and nice. The hotel is also quite lovely. It is nicer then it looks in pictures and the location is perfect. You are in the city center and we were able to walk to to everything.

Excellent service from all the staff, very welcoming. Location was a 10-15 minute walk from all the touristy spots. 5 minute walk from the metro station or tram station which will get you anywhere you want in the city and a quiet area. There's also a supermarket 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel. Need to scan your room card to get in the hotel, so it's an added layer of security. We didn't have breakfast with our booking, but we were offered a free breakfast for the 1st day which was a nice plus! We also got a round of drinks for free (they were offered as a welcome drink but we didn't want it at that moment) so they gave us a card to use later instead. Hand written welcome card in the room which is a nice touch. Clean and comfortable rooms, bottled water was added in the minibar for free every day. No complaints whatsoever, we will for sure be choosing this hotel for our next visit.
