Centrally located. Tram station nearby. Tons of restaurants I'm the neighborhood and a few clubs too. The room was small and so hot (stayed end of May). Check-in was simple. Had to pay a €10 cash deposit and ~€8 city tax. I brought my own lock. Guest services didn't have tooth paste but had other items for sale. The room's bathroom is tiny (3ft x 4ft). There is a shower in another bathroom. Seemed safe. Pin to enter main entrance and key card to enter room. Staff was friendly. I'd probably stay again primarily because it was so affordable

If you're planning to be smoked, this hostel with steep stairways can be dangerous. But price is just super! The lowest in town! with good location! Also staffs were helpful and nice and kind and generous!

The receptionist is extremely rude, abrupt and with awfully bad attitude! Toilets are tiny and the balcony door don`t close properly, so you are leaving your room open from the back. There is no kitchen, reception area is tiny- 2 tables, and rooms are extra small, there are balconies but you are not allowed to use them. Check in time is 2 pm where standard time is usually 10 am, and there is no way the receptionist will let you in before- I had to sit in the reception for 3 hours waiting for shower. Go somewhere else, there are far better hostels in Amsterdam than this one.

Central location which was amazing for our one night stay here. This isn't a large hostel either so waiting for a shower isn't a big deal. Overall this wasn't the best hostel I ever stayed at and certainly no where near the worst. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Would stay here again.

Very bad hotel, the sheets are not cleaned, there are cockroaches as receptionists, we were 4 hours to enter the room to sleep because it was all dirty, they are dirty! the receptionist threatened me and insulted us,very dangerous man, they wanted to charge us more, a great scam, I hope the receptionist will teach you a little education. Besides, he didn't want to give me the ID back when I had little time to go to the airport, I react when I threaten to record the scene and report it to the police.

Been there just a couple of days ago, perfect place for those who are just looking to dump their bags in a room, roam around and come back to sleep. We took a private room (small room with a bunk bed. We had two big bags and a couple of backpacks as well. The owner there was pretty cool too. We had to check out at 10AM but then our flight was only at 5pm. We had asked him if he could take care of our bags and he said it’s free for first 3hrs. Bathroom is a bit small but the location of this place beats them all! Right at the center of the city within walkable distance to all the landmarks in the city.

The lock to the bathroom in our room (26) did not function. Also there was not enough lockers in the room for everyone and you need to bring your own pad lock for them. Other than that the location was good and everything was clean and the staff was nice! We had to pay in cash tho, so that can be good to know!

Pretty good with finicky shower temperature and not much space to put clothes/toiletries when showering. Otherwise great service. We had a group of four and, even though we weren't going to get a private room, they gave it to us anyway. The people at the desk have been super friendly. Walls are a bit thin.

Baaad bad quality hotel very unhygienic dirty badly taken care of the hotel, bread from breakfast had rot in it, literally big green fungus growing on it and on the jam. The rooms weren't so clean either. If you want a shower better wake up early because you probably won't have hot water. And wear something in the bathrooms it's filled with rusted metal and I'm not so sure when was the last they cleaned it. Overly priced, seriously 169€ per person for two nights? For this? Don't go here. We were desperate and it was the only place with rooms.

Excellent location! I was well received and the guests I shared a room with were very polite. I thought the cost/benefit was ok, the only thing missing was offering breakfast. :)

Very small rooms, really suffocating. No lift, stairs are very very narrow and dangerous. Very expensive. They charged me around 45 Euros per day and without breakfast. Bathrooms are not that great either

I don't why people rated low however, we had a nice experience. The staff is nice and really friendly. The location is really good. Internet was working fine. Toilets, shower and beddings were clean and tidy.

Gets the job done. The location is by far the best part!!! Tons of amazing restaurant right out side. In the youthful party area of town with countless bars and a few big clubs all in a block radius. Bring a lock for the lockers. But pretty safe. All the other travelers are nice 20 year olds that are all also exploring the city all day and partying too. Small common area. No breakfast.

It's a very bare bones hostel. Stay here if you don't plan on spending any time at your hostel. It's also a long walk from the train station although reasonably close to the museums I guess.

Not a bad place, decent location and transport link and had really nice guests. Not a bad shower, okay beds. Take a padlock for the lockers. No smoking, fyi. Plus, don't forget city tax + a 10€ deposit when checking in.

Good location. Rooms were admittedly pretty basic but we only used them to sleep, beds were bunk beds, there was a shower and toilet in the room and the other guests were quiet. Wasn't exactly luxurious but really couldn't complain for the price.
