We understand that you get what you pay for but our room was tiny, it had no windows so couldn't get any fresh air which was no good for me as I'm asthmatic and the TV didn't work. After complaining, the only option they gave us was to switch to a different room the day after (and our last day) which was way up in the attic and the stairs which lead to the room could not even be classed as stairs. Very dangerous! So we decided to grin and bear it and stay put. I Will not consider this hotel ever again!

The hotel is perfect if you love dust and are less than five feet tall (otherwise your knees will press on the bathroom wall.) I asked for an extra blanket three times I went back to change it each time because they gave me one with a big brown stain on it (I like to think it was coffee) the third had only a few holes, perfect. my dust allergy got married to this place. the reception closed at 6pm because it was a public holiday, I was the first to work in hotels never seen the reception closed at this time. Great central location, with the price of the room you can get a beautiful room anywhere else in the city .

While the location is excellent, sadly that is the only good part about this Hotel. The rooms are smaller than a matchbox and very poorly ventilated. The staff okay but not very co-operative or helpful. The breakfast spread is below average, poorly served and managed. I suggest do not opt for breakfast. All in all a bad experience in a beautiful city. You can certainly find much better options in the same price range.

Excellent location, nice rooms, albeit small. The bathroom looked very clean, and the staff were super friendly. One major issue: paper thin walls in this building. We stayed three nights and barely slept because of loud neighbors who came back to the hotel at around 2:30 am every night and stayed up playing music and singing until around 5am. We also heard a lot from the street outside. Putting in earbuds helped, but this hotel could really benefit from a quiet hours policy.

We spent two nights here in June, something like €150/night. Location is fantastic, and our room was actually quite nice, stayed cool despite the 30C days, big window, also had a fan although we didn’t use it. Staff friendly, bike rental was nice and convenient, etc. We had a normal double room, it looks like most of the complaints are for the "super economy" rooms. We found our room to be quite reasonably sized and modern, certainly it has been renovated in the past 10 years.

Actually 0 stars. Not fit to sleep in. The room was damp, unclean and smelly. The reception were so rude and said "what do you expect for 2 stars?". I said that I do not expect a health hazard. We had to leave and spend money on a different hotel. Asked for some refund and they stopped responding and then refused. Zero focus on health, cleanliess or customer service. Do not book. The photos also didn't resemble the actual rooms which I think is verging on fraudulent. Very disappointing.

Very small room. The TV was only if you logged into your own streaming service or signed up for a service. Very disappointed with the hotel and that you had to buy your breakfast. For 1 night was 200 euro

Location very good, however would not ever stay here again, hallway downstairs smells very bad of urine. Paid for a twin room to share with my brother and got given a double with no other option. Only ONE plug socket in the room which was right at the door at the same height as the light switch so has to dangle phones to charge. Rooms very basic and staff not helpfull at all with bare minimum understanding of english. Tv didnt work either and they have no intentions of fixing it

A very good example of a very bad hotel. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. - Only one plug socket in the entire room was provided. - Bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned daily with black mould a feature on the tiles. Hot water constantly running out in shower if other taps was switched on. - No ventilation in the room with the exception of a small roof light and a fan that was covered in dust which was louder than Concord taking off. - The two pushed together single beds to make a “double” were extremely uncomfortable and small, may as well of slept on the landing. - When the room was “cleaned” (which consisted of remaking the bed) old towels were taken away and not replenished, gave up after requesting new towels from reception twice which were never provided. - The one pillow provided per person was small (more suitable to a cushion) and uncomfortable. - Room was dust central, there was paint off the walls and black marks on the back of the door. Under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust, looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. - TV was broken, upon letting reception know we was told “it probably is and the engineer has finished for a few days" almost as if the TV was for show purposes only and not to be used. - Size of the room was 35% small than actually stipulated, far from habitable for more than one person and no wardrobe was provided. When asked to be moved to another room, I was told that there were no others for the duration of our stay. When the room size was mentioned to the receptionist we was fobbed off and told it was the advertised size. I could go on but I’m not going to waste any more time. If you are not majorly bothered by the cleanliness of a hotel that has no lift so you get to lug your cases up steep, windy, narrow staircases to your shoe box of a room and like to spend £150 per night for the privilege then this cesspit of despair is the place for you. However if you are more the spacious type, care about cleanliness and prefer a lift DO NOT STAY.

recently had the pleasure of staying at the Quentin England Hotel during my visit to Amsterdam. The Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was attentive, the rooms were comfortable, and the location was perfect. I highly recommend this charming hotel for an enjoyable stay in Amsterdam.

Do not book here, especially if they give you the “garden room”, unit 501. It was totally uninsulated, had black mould in the bathroom, and was not properly cleaned when we checked in. We tried to cancel, and left the property within 2 hours, but they still charged us the full amount for our stay. Absolutely wretched.

Had a small and not so comfortable room but you get what you pay for. The more pricey rooms looked amazing and comfortable so it's totally worth the money no matter what.

The room is decent. I stayed at room 107. Small but clean, quiet and warm. It is close to museums, restaurants and the city center. I would go again

Bait and switch. Do not stay. The photos online are of just a few rooms to make the hotel look very nice, but the majority of the rooms don’t have windows, are musty, dank, and dirty. The room we were given smelled like sewage, didn’t have a window, didn’t have any moving air whatsoever, and didn’t have a door to the bathroom. There were no extra pillows or blankets available from the front desk. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

Lovely hotel on a quiet street with the Vondell park on your doorstep and the Leidseplein and Museumplein a short walk. Really enjoyed my stay here. Only down side, twin rooms a little tight but facilities and cleanliness were spot on. Thought continental breakfast might have been inclusive but there was a good selection of everything to give you a good start to the day

Mold growing, no ventilation in room . Room wasn't cleaned. The hot water tap dripped constantly compounding the ventaliation and humidity issue. Reception didn't care and said it was fine as we were there for 1 night. The pay room isn't worth 20euro let alone the 200something they charge. Only positive is it close to museum quarter.

ATTENTION!!!!!!!! Worst stay ever, -Rooms are so cold, so you need to wear all ur clothes in order to sleep. -So dirty, the ground, bed, and the shower are really disgusting. -Last day of our staying we found out that the bed is full of insects. -The reception staff is mostly nice, so they could cover their hotel management. -TV does not work. -Wifi almost has no coverage. -3 nights without taking shower because it was broken (had to make it out of the hotel), they had put it in way so it would not look broken. -Breakfast: you will be alone, with only 4 slices of cheese and ham, and old toast. PS: While I was smoking outside I had a talk with a neighbor, and he told me this place is a homeless shelter. And the manager or responsible has changed it recently, to rent out the rooms for 2 hours to whoever. I'm not sure about this information but it looks true.

i wasn’t expecting much due to the price and the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. the rooms and beds are clean, the bathroom was beautiful and the service was great. the hotel is also in a great area as it’s a short walk through the beautiful canals to the centre. this means that it is also quiet.

How to describe this place? We have had a lot of fun in there and I can't wait to come back to that place. The place is located in the city centre and close to all restaurants, bars and shops in Amsterdam. I highly recommend!

Stayed here for 3 nights end of October. Rooms quite basic with small single beds when separated but everything that you need, Ironing board/Kettle/Tea/Coffee, no milk unfortunately. Nice bathroom with a pleasant shower. We had gone for one of the rooms with a balcony and by the looks of it there are only 2 rooms with balconies that are separated by a small wooden fence, not much privacy from next-door at all. The staff were all nice and helped with anything we asked for.

A perfect location and a great hotel. They have bikes you can rent which we made good use of in Amsterdam and the countryside. You can easily walk to the city center and many of the cute attractions nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel last minute as our previous one overbooked. We were put in the Garden Twin Room which is a shed in the back garden. It was not heated. We were provided with one small heater which after two hours did not adequately heat the room. It was FREEZING. The read on my husband's clock thermometer was 12 degrees in the room. The washroom was even colder, and had mold. It was obvious this shed was not adequately insulated as we could hear everything outside - birds, sirens, squirrels. It was 14 degrees and at night was going down to 5. We decided we could not bear the cold and went to reception. We agreed to pay for the first night and asked for our money back for the rest. They agreed but have now stopped responding to us, and we have not gotten our money back. Do not stay here and ESPECIALLY do not stay in the Garden Twin Room. I don't understand how it is a legal room at all.

We originally booked the Quentin Arrive next to Amsterdam Centraal. When we arrived, we were advised that we were moved to the Quentin England location, 35min away from the train station. The Quentin Arrive staff booked us a taxi to the other hotel, which was very appreciated. However, the staff at the Quentin England originally refused to pay a taxi back to the train station at checkout... We had to argue a bit back and forth, but they eventually conceded. Nice hotel but those logistics issues could easily be avoided.

Offered everything you'd want plus more from a budget hotel. The room was sizeable and clean, the staff were friendly and it is conveniently located close to Vondelpark and leidseplein.

A really cute, and quaint location next to Vondelpark. Ideal for getting to places, with two major trams crossing 3 and 1. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Very affordable, clean. Great for anyone traveling on a budget. Quick walk to the city. In a nice, quiet tea

Location is great, close to the fun parts. Only issue, no air conditioning. It was a warm few days in Amsterdam, and the air circulation in the room was not good. Even though the gave us a fan, it was not enough. Aside from that, it was excellent, large room, clean and in a quiet safe neighborhood.

Hello, good afternoon, I need to contact you, for a change of date, but so far it has not been possible! where can I locate them

I will never recommend it to anyone! at check-in, you have to pay a "city tax", which was 24€ for us at the time of booking, then at the hotel they wanted to ask for 73€, but in the end they understood, so we paid 24. Then we saw our room. It was cold, dirty, damp and moldy. The light switches were brown from dirt, there was something sticky red on the table, facial hair from the previous guest in the sink, the last guest's razor in the shower. Lots of dust and trash under the bed. There are lots of dirt stains and mold and snot(from nose this thing you know) on the wall. The bed was relatively "clean", but the cover was also moldy and bloodstained. You don't get cleaning, but you do get new towels. The towels even if they are clean, they look dirty because of the yellowish color. Then I don't need to tell you how uncomfortable the mattress is and that you can't rest on it. You get completely different room like what you see on the booking photos, which is otherwise a deception of the customer. When we arrived that day, the receptionist was no longer able to help because it was late. But the next day her colleague showed 2 new rooms and apologized for the inconvenience. The attitude was nice, but I feel that they look at you like you are completely stupid, because after the complaint, she showed us 2 identical rooms, one of which was the "upgrade" room, which was just as dirty and moldy. Like i don't understand. I worked before in Hotels, i know how is it work, if a guest has a problem.. but here.. you can get a same bad room. We moved to a room on the 3rd floor. this 3rd floor room was just as dirty and wet, the wall was wet but not moldy YET. The stairs are steep, there is floor mat that is very dirty. One day the whole stairwell had a very foul smell of urine. + addendum that one day we were informed that there would be no electricity from morning to 3 pm. The only good thing about it is that it is close to the city or the museums, but next time I would rather walk +1km than this happen. Unbelievable, annoying and disgusting. If you don't have a better option, it might be better than rainy streets.. but otherwise I never want to see this accommodation again.
