This
hostel
was
by
far
one
of
the
most
inexpensive
we
were
able
to
find
in
Amsterdam
for
our
dates
of
booking.
We
booked
a
private
room
for
2
people.
The
staff
were
super
friendly
and
were
available
at
the
desk
24
hours
a
day.
The
room
was
basic
with
clean
bedding
and
and
bunk
beds,
with
an
ensuite
bathroom.
We
arrived
early
at
12pm
when
our
train
arrived
and
came
to
leave
our
luggage,
but
the
receptionist
told
us
the
room
was
already
ready
for
check
in.
Check
out
was
at
10am.
We
saw
from
other
reviews
that
they
prefer
cash
payments,
so
we
stopped
at
an
ATM
only
1
minute
away
from
the
hostel
to
collect
the
money
to
pay
the
bill.
They
also
ask
for
€10
key
deposit,
which
is
returned
when
you
check
out
(this
is
retained
if
you
check
out
late).
Also
had
kitchen
facilities
which
we
didn’t
use,
so
I
can’t
comment
on
that.
But
we
did
go
down
there
to
fill
up
our
water
bottles
and
keep
drinks
in
the
fridge.
The
kitchen
looked
clean
and
fine
to
make
some
small
snacks.
The
area
was
beautiful,
in
the
south
of
the
city.
Much
less
touristy
than
the
centre
with
loads
of
activities
to
do
nearby
and
amazing
transport
links
to
get
into
the
centre
too.
We
bought
a
48hr
unlimited
travel
card
for
€15
each
to
get
around
from
the
hostel
during
our
stay.
