I have to say that the photos on this site are old the bunk beds are made of steel 3 in height and bolted to the floor no lockers and dirty bedding with warnout mattress and shared bathroom is one toilet one shower between 14 people and your bedding is never changed until you leave they have mice aswell because they have a cat and I had one in my room I would avoid this place if possible.

If you really want to understand how luxurious your life is. Go to the hostel and book a bed in the bedroom with 14 others beds in 20m2. After this experience you will live your life with more happiness, if you achieved to survive this night.

Extremely unfriendly staff. The rooms and bathrooms are simply disgusting - the smell included. The beds are way to short to actually sleep there if you're over 1.80 meters tall. Finish it off with a bad matrace and you get your perfect sleepless night.

DONT STAY HERE! this place is where you stay only in extreme necessity! otherwise, dont! everything is dirty: floor, beds, rooms, all. the stairs and the rooms are so tiny, it doesn't fit everyone. in case of an emergency, you'd die here. other than that, the staff is awful. you're gonna pay to be yelled at and for them to make fun of you: i couldn't open the door and received such unfortunate comments from the receptionist, as well as my friend was yelled at and invited to leave cause she didn't know the check in procedure. really dont stay here. they also have extra costs for everything

The staff is nice, but that is it. The common area is okay but unwelcoming. The rooms are horrible, the smell is rancid. Bedsheets are dirty and there are bed bugs. Unless you are desperate for the cheapest place available, don't go there !

For the price you pay this is by far the worst place I've stayed at. Rooms are tiny with poor bathroom ventilation and there aren't any real kitchen amenities besides microave and kettle. The bedsheets were stained and dirty and the rooms poorly cleaned (glass on the floor and under the bed). The staff are friendly and the location is good but it's simply not worth it.

The worst place I have ever been - including 6 months in India. Filthy staircase, filthy floor in the room, food leftovers in the room, broken window, filthy shower with hair on the floor and mould, questionable bed hygiene, no towels and much more. This is what you get for 90€/night. Definitely no recommendation.

Location is good. The rest is horrible. No lockers . 0 hygiene. The worst and smallest bed I had to sleep in my life so far. Extra : I got a bed , left some items there, went out and when I came back , someone else was there and my items were gone.

We had a problem at the hostel due to which we could not spend the night there. It all started with us waiting 1.5 hours for check-in. After which we were told the numbers of our beds, but one of them was not made. At the reception we were given a different bed number. At night we walked around Amsterdam and arrived at the hostel at 5 am, but someone was already sleeping in my bed and the reception refused to solve this problem. They argued with us and did not return the money, although we paid everything upon arrival.

Just get another hostel lmao. The roof was damaged, so the floor was wet, my amigo got a blanket covered in blood on his bed. The staff was pretty nice though. Shower was okay. Tight stairs and floors.

I canceled a booking with this hostel before the last free cancelation date. They still charged me, and did it twice! They basically robbed me (approximately 1200 €). I have documents that prove this, and these were sent to the hostel several times. This is just unnaceptable. The hostel refuses to acknolowdge that I was charged twice and innapropriately. When I try to contact them, I always recieve the same automatic message. Reading other comments here, it is clear that these are not honsest nor decent people. Don't go to this hostel.

This hostel was by far one of the most inexpensive we were able to find in Amsterdam for our dates of booking. We booked a private room for 2 people. The staff were super friendly and were available at the desk 24 hours a day. The room was basic with clean bedding and and bunk beds, with an ensuite bathroom. We arrived early at 12pm when our train arrived and came to leave our luggage, but the receptionist told us the room was already ready for check in. Check out was at 10am. We saw from other reviews that they prefer cash payments, so we stopped at an ATM only 1 minute away from the hostel to collect the money to pay the bill. They also ask for €10 key deposit, which is returned when you check out (this is retained if you check out late). Also had kitchen facilities which we didn’t use, so I can’t comment on that. But we did go down there to fill up our water bottles and keep drinks in the fridge. The kitchen looked clean and fine to make some small snacks. The area was beautiful, in the south of the city. Much less touristy than the centre with loads of activities to do nearby and amazing transport links to get into the centre too. We bought a 48hr unlimited travel card for €15 each to get around from the hostel during our stay.

A wonderful experience. Staff is very welcoming. Security is great. Nice rooms and free coffee. Monta was an amazing host at reception. I highly recommend.

So its definitely not the worst place to stay but also not the cleanest… Id recommend bringing a towel! Smaller dorms are better of course. Big dorms are pretty busy but as expected right. Toilet in the first room i stayed was great as the room was empty on arrival. The next room I stayed the toilet wasn’t so great but its hard to keep a toilet clean between 14-21 people… If you are in Amsterdam to smoke and rest your head then its great! Great location, lovely park nearby, metro, coffee, food, a cool food/bar area. The price per night is the main problem but it seems that this is the new rates for sleeping in Amsterdam. There was a time I remember hostels were €10 per night! Times have changed indeed and the hostels still the same😆

The room was extremely crowded, a small room with 5 bunkbeds for 3 persons each, only one toilet for all of us, the other guests were noisy and there was no privacy at all, not even courtains to isolate yourself from the others. The metal beds were not confortable if you are over 1.80 meters tall. The clerk was friendly but couldn't solve the fact that a few of my things were stolen! Not worth it the 60€ I paid for one night

So we went there and thought the price were 30 euro for the night..but ended up paying 50 euro(more or less). The bathroom wasn't bad but the 9 persons room roof isn't clean which gives you a bad feeling about the whole room (is it really clean?) . There is no Air-conditioning and no ventilators..you only have one big balcony like window which is hard to keep open for safety and privacy reasons..so in summer time it's not a good room and i can't recommend it. However if the price was really 30 euros i would sleep in this place.

I reserved 11 rooms there for some students and they cancelled my reservation without any notice. Them I called there every day for 5 days in a row to solve the problem. Every day I was told a different story (first: my credit card did not work, second: I only wrote 4 digits of my credit card, third: I cancelled myself ...) Then I was told that I have to send an email. I did this and the day after, I was told that no E-Mail arrived. This is a place wirh really bad service and it is not reliable or recommendable

The hostel only take cash payement. The « kitchen » was in the basement, they said on the website that it was an equiped kitchen but they only had a fridge, old kettle and a broken microwave. The room wasn’t really clean especially the bathroom, one for twelve people. No lockers so messy room. Positive point is that the staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. If you insist, check-in is flexible. You can leave luggage for free.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 days when we travelled through Europe over the summer. By far the worst hostel of the entire trip. Amsterdam is an expensive city, my advice is pay the extra 20 euros and stay somewhere better.

I got my booking mixed up and I arrived a day late to my two day booking. The guy at reception didn’t even look up and acknowledge me when I tried speaking to him for 5 minutes. This was the worst customer service experience Ive had. He just said ‘good for you’. Disgusting service. There are better hostels out there.

Dirty, stinky, looks like they don't clean the bedding, not worth the price. It's better to pay a little more and go somewhere more comfortable! The bathroom gets all wet when someone takes a shower. You need to climb a lot of stairs. I don't recommend it to anyone. there is no locker. sharing a room with a guy who looks crazy and who was drunk. Don't stay there, it will spoil your trip.

I am definitely disappointed First, a wrong booking was made on the website - I am alone but two different rooms were reserved. Since it is not possible to cancel one of them, I had to cancel both. Took 8 mails, until they acknowledged the cancellation. Still, they charged both rooms on my credit card. Told them I advise my bank to undo the money transfer - let's see, where that goes. Stay away from them and go somewhere, where they care about the customers,

Terrible place. Lost money as I booked 4 nights on site and the first night was terrible. The place is very dirty, sheets and duvets are not washed, the bathroom stinks of pee and when you take a shower everything gets wet because it is together with the toilet. The vase has no board as it was broken. Anyway, the place was not safe to sleep. Had to book another hostel last minute. Also, they charged a fee of 10 euros more which would be returned at the end, but I don't know.

Lived here, and for How inexpensive it was, it was rather nice. Only thing I’d mention is that there seems to be some disagreements between the staff; some staff members told us something was fine, but then later someone else would yell at us for doing the same thing!

Fun, friendly and helpful guy on reception, polite employee Viktor on those crazy stairs was my jam. Great place for the price if you have no expectations (and you shouldn’t if you are in Amsterdam). Totally enjoyed this last minute stay overnight caused by the missed train.

I can’t give a 0 star we booked with booking.com and they said private room with separte beds. We got superposed beds and the room as the most dirtiest rooms I’ve ever seen. As we got adults with us they can’t even sleep on those beds. We didn’t even have a refund. Disgusted

If cheap is all you’re after, I guess you could stay here but beware of hidden costs. They are also kinda discouraging of people hanging out or having fun. No good space to socialize and poorly stocked kitchen.

Just great! We just arrived and droped our bags. We were far earlyer then then the official check in, but everithing was easy and we were also offered to chill in the lounge. The guy at the reception (sry, i forgot the Name) is super nice, you feel so welcome and like vacation. :)) He also gives great advices for Amsterdam-Activety.

Dirty tiny rooms, for 14 people only one toilet in the room, some of the windows don't work. In a triple room there is no place for three people. I have never seen such terrible hostels in Europe. No services, no towels (with extra payment), no shampoo, no shower gel. Nothing.

I stayed in a 6 bed room on the first floor. The room had a nice balcony. There was 2 bunk beds, each with 3 beds. The beds are high, so there is enough space in each one to sit in, unlike in other hostels with this kind of beds. But the highest one might feel to high for some. The beds are pretty short. I'm 1.70 meter and it was comfortable for me, but if you're higher it might feel to short. The stuff was nice and welcoming. There is a pleasant public space in the kitchen. But not enough space in the refrigerator and cupboard. The stairs are very high (each stair).

When I arrived and wanted to leave my bag for safekeeping they just carelessly put it with a bunch of other bags and it all got dirty. The space is very tight and it smells odd. The owner is creepy and I overheard him being creepy towards some girl there. Apparently the owner has a cat and it wanders around the place but he never said that which he should, there can be people with cat allergies. The signal downstairs is HORRIBLE, good luck using your phone when you’re there. The price for comfort is not worth it, it should cost way less for what you get.

Price/quality is quite accurate. Payd 160€ for a 4 bed room without windows but wit AC and Shower/Toilet. Room had quite thin walls so quite noisy.

Awful experience. Way overpriced for a 10 meters square dorm room with 15 beds and only one bathroom. No airing, no lockers, poor cleanliness and cash only acceptance. Staff is correct. As Jean Touriste said : "after this experience you will live your life with more happiness". Don't go there.

the people was so nice but the bed was so small in a private room.. and the bed are not done. otherwise the kitchen is good and also their has a quite cat 🐈 it wasn't a problem for us... We was late 1 hour, we lost 10 eur, when you make your check out you can use the kitchen and wait until the time of your fly..

Go there if you want to - go out of your confort zone - loose your money (60€/night) - have the worst nights of your life - sleep in a coffin alike bed - share à bathroom (shower and toilet) with 14 people - die of thirst because you cannot fill à bottle of fresh water: cold tap water is cut-off indeed. You must buy bottes of water. They accept only cash.

I stayed in a 15bed room (five triple bunk beds), didn't expect much but still felt disappointed: the beds were small (I could feel the bumps underneath me when the guy below hit his head when sitting), the mattress was old and dented, the bathroom was a disgrace and they didn't provide towels. The guy who greeted customers at night was rude. The only positive things were the location (really close to the center) and the small kitchen on the basement where you could eat something in peace. My advice: spend a few more euros someplace else

Very nice experience! The rooms and the bathrooms are clean and equipped with everything they need. The hospitality was 100% 💪🏼. Its located in a good area of the city with many stores near. I look to come back here!

No hotplate or cooking devices except a microwave in the kitchen, very overpriced for what you're getting, seems we paid a lot more to book online than what others paid per night. The location is very good however

  • 1/5 Abdulaziz A. 3 years ago on Google
I’ve stayed for 3 nights here, and i totally don’t recommend. First problem was by the reception, he will try to steal money from you in any way possible, he made us pay alot more the we should’ve. He will try to calculate it with you but don’t be fooled. Plus he asked 10 euro each in order to be in the same room, and we were 8 persons or he’ll just separate us. The rooms are so narrow and its 3 beds over each other. The only positive thing is the clean bathroom. I absolutely don’t recommend and this will be my last time staying here.

  • 1/5 Hannah G. 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
Don’t even think about booking here. I tried to cancel my reservation in September after reading the reviews. And after emailing and calling the staff dozens of times, I thought that they had received the message and cancelled my reservation. However I just checked my account, and I was charged the full amount despite the fact that I cancelled my reservation 3 months ago. This is absolutely unacceptable and I wish I had a way to hold this place accountable for the horrible business practices.

If you are looking for cheap accommodations just outside of downtown, this is the place to be! Yes it’s cheap so it will be small but honestly the staff was so nice and friendly and the people in my hostel were also so chill. The location is great and so is the staff! Also the cat that hangs around is a big plus too!

Worst hostel ever, infested with bed bugs, went with friends and we all came back with many bites, we have over 20 bites each arm. Rooms are filthy and the beds are too small for anyone over 5’2. Bathroom is tiny and dirty so I didn’t shower the whole time I was there. The stairs are steep and narrow and very precarious. Really regret having stayed here, not worth it.
