You get what you pay for. Housekeepers scream in Spanish in corridors starting from early morning. I was woken up and was my main negative point. Great location. Showers need maintenance. Floors need deep clean.

I didn't give a 5-star rating solely because the hotel didn't grant a late check-out of just one additional hour. I do understand the need to prepare the rooms for incoming guests, but considering it was a Tuesday morning, an extra hour would not have caused any inconvenience. It would have been greatly appreciated if the request could have been accommodated.

The hotel is located in a very popular place in the city, but it is just a bed and bathroom nothing else compared to the paid price. I don’t recommend it, if you would like to discover the city try to book somewhere far from this area which is very very busy in the evening and you can access all places even this area via the metro so easy

The staff were friendly and it was a great location. Room was a decent size and bed wasn't too bad, although wifi didn't work, they ran out of shampoo, had to ask for toilet paper and overall not the cleanest inside room.

Staff was lovely, but the room was a bit dirty and smelled like chlorine, the bathroom (which was an additional 50 euros per night since the double we booked for €250 didn’t include one) was quite dirty. For 300 a night I’d expect more. Also the room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, getting up there was a nightmare, even without luggage. Location is fine if you like to stay in the red light district. All in all I would not return.

Hotel fine in an excellent location. Unfortunately I found that my room had not been cleaned when I opened the door.

Friendly staff, excellent location, probably the best place to stay in the red light district, especially if your nights end at around 6am.

The hotel expereince was good, the location was excellent and you could explore anywhere on foot, very close to the central station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we're able to assist us printing our boarding pass. The rooms were clean but a little bit dated and sparingly furnished but for the price and considering we were only returning to sleep and shower they severed the purpose. Junior the cat was beautiful and friendly. I looked forward to meeting him in the morning at breakfast.

Located on the edge of the red light district (still inside it), but very close to the station. Small, basic rooms, shower and bathroom very clean and modern. Great breakfast service. Staff were fine with our late check in. A decent hotel. Wouldn't stay again as there are better options in this price range, but if its the only one available (as it was in my case), then you will be satisified

The good thing about this hotel is that it is situated smack in the centre of the city and the beds are good. The staff is also friendly enough, but don't seem to care too much about running a hotel. The staff sits in the lobby smoking, so the smell there is pretty bad. Parts of the breakfast - the cereals - are left standing out all day, so they get a nice and smoky taste. Breakfast is only on between 8 and 9, which seems to be a cost-cutting meassure, since the hotel is in the middle of the party district, so most guests won't be awake to enjoy breakfast. The staff starts clearing the tables at 8:45, so you have to be fast. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, unless you're in town for partying. If that's the case, the location is perfect and everything is close by.

My husband and I just finished a cruise at Baltic Sea and are staying in Hotel 83, Amsterdam. This hotel is small but very clean and has everything we need. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although we have to share bathroom but most of the time, nobody uses it, it is our private bathroom. The breakfast is more than my expectation, it has everything we love to eat, egg, ham, cereal, orange juice, milk and coffee. For the money we paid, it is over the value. The hotel is situated at the centre of red light district but very safe. We will for sure come back again, again and again. I highly recommend it to any travelers who want to save money but want a decent hotel to stay in Amsterdam. Also it is very close to Central Station where you can take a train to the Airport. We love it!!!!!!!

It was my 1st time ever in Amsterdam and this hotel was cheap and cheerful. The room was clean and very spacious, I stayed in a room with four friends and we had a brilliant time. The location is ideal. Continental breakfast was fine.

A pleasant hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. It has good transport connections and is right in the middle of the Red Light District. The staircases are a little steep and the breakfast is nothing to write home about. The rooms are quite spacious, some are a bit dated but serve their purpose for a budget stay in the city.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Grotty, dirty, disgusting. Outrageous how they have not been closed down. Filthy bathroom, one example is snot on the wall. I have no words for the place. Rusty old radiators that don’t work. Electricity kept going. Owner was so rude to talk to. Straight on the defensive - Her answer was go book a different hotel then. Never again and hopefully this review will save someone else having to go through the torture of the place.
