The hotel is well appointed and the rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are fairly small and very tight to walk around. I would think a couple would struggle with the size of the room. Why I gave 3 stars is that I had a white wall for a view. For the cost of the room, there are plenty of other options that would have a more spacious room layout and something outside to look at. See photos for the white wall view.

Very nice hotel overall. Rooms were small and could use better cleaning. The shower was not in good shape at all and kept falling off the wall. Staff was super gracious and even refunded a night of my stay after my plane was delayed and I arrived a day late. Location is pretty good! Breakfast is limited in options but solid food. Can be frustrating to have to choose a time for breakfast though, as the dining room is too small. Also hard for those needed truly accessible space for disabilities as there are small banks of stairs that are hard to avoid throughout the property .

Clean functional rooms. We got one with canal views and it was perfect. The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful and are available 24/7 at the front desk. They always greet you with a smile. The location is great...walking distance to restaurants, shops and the train station. An excellent breakfast is provided too. We enjoyed our stay here and would totally recommend it.

The is what I would expect at a Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean and the staff we interacted with friendly. The breakfast is a bit different than what we are used to in the US. Instead of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, and the hot waffle maker, there were cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, and an assignment of cereals and pastries. They also have a bar there. The location was good as it is a short 15 min walk from Centraal Station.

Rooms were nice and spacious as compared to some of the holiday inn express I have stayed before . Very modern and clean Breakfast was very good selection . There is a mini bar at the reception area for drinks till about 1am. Location wise it is not as central but we are able to walk in to the Central Area and do the tourist stuff . There are shops and supermarket and bars nearby too . We were able to take a train from the airport with just one change and about 10 mins walk after that so quite easy to access from airport too . One of our rooms has canal view too !

I stayed 3 nights in a hotel. The hotel is 15 minutes away from main station and main square. The rooms are modernly decorated and clean but without a balcony or the possibility of opening windows completely. The continental breakfast is the same every day but it is quite tasty and they have multiple choices. You have to choose between one of the offered breakfast periods because the dining area is small. Staff is very kind and helpful.

I recommend you stay away from this hotel! We booked a double room on a high floor. I knew the hotel that I was coming with my girlfriend and I was planning to propose to her, so we would be happy for a room on a high floor with a view. I should note that even so the room was supposed to have a view and on a high floor. We arrived at 19:00 and got a room we didn't book on the ground floor!!! When we returned to reception they told us it was because we arrived late?! I should note that the check-in only starts from 15:00, so their answer is not accepted under any circumstances. We were not moved to a room. I say again, we booked a certain room and I mentioned that I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and we got a room that we didn't book a level below and on the ground floor!! You just ruined our experience and vacation.

Very good experience! We were welcomed to the hotel and even were allowed to check-in a little early (we weren't expecting that). The rooms are very clean and the bathroom is spacious (compared to French standards). The shower was great! Delicious breakfast included in the price of the reservation with very nice choices! I really appreciated the variety and the small details such as the lemon and ginger available for the tea, as well as the delicious fresh hummus, cucumbers, and tomatoes. My favorite was the fluffy pancakes!!! So good!!!! The staff was very nice and friendly, and they did a great job keeping the tables clean and refreshing each of the breakfast items.

Room had a view of the canal and was very quiet. Clean but full housekeeping is once every few days unless otherwise requested. The A/C works and is quiet too. The shower door is kind of weird though. The location is great. It is close to the touristy areas and the Nemo Science Museum. The breakfast selection was good, but just be aware that there are no hot items. Good hotel but quite expensive.

Very clean, reasonably priced room. Friendly staff, tasty breakfast. Super quiet at night yet a central location, which resulted in a great night's sleep! Comfy bed, great spacious shower, couldn't ask for more.

It is a very clean hotel. The staff are friendly especially Ruby at reception. She has been absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in. She has helped us out so much with where to go and what to do. Hats off to you my girl. The only thing that would have made me give you guys a 5 star review would have been a smoking area which is non existent. I have to walk all the way to the front of the hotel where it is very busy and no where to sit. The hotel does not provide balconies so I thought the least they could provide was a little area for the smokers. Other than that pretty good place to stay with an open buffet breakfast.

The hotel was very clean, excellent staff who were helpful and very kind during our stay. The rooms provided all the basic needs. Breakfast was a bonus. They had hot and cold items. My only issue was the location. Was a bit out of the center core. But for the price, you can't go wrong.

We had a really nice stay here - staff is nice and went above and beyond with accommodating our early check-in and has kept an eye on our bags after check-out, giving us a stress free extra few hours to stroll the city. Room was nice, clean, quiet and compact - it had everything we needed. Breakfast was included in our booking - do not miss their pancakes, they were better than ones in some other, well known pancake shops! There was a nice choice of sweet/savoury options for breakfast with a nice little coffee bar. Everything was just right - the staff, the room, the breakfast, the location - we couldn't reccomend it more!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights at an average rate of 200+ EUR per night. The room, while quite modern, had minimal furniture and amenities. The heating system and water pressure in the bathroom were satisfactory. However, I was disappointed with the services, which fell below the expected standard for an IHG property. Notably, there was no bottled water in the room, and despite the presence of a kettle, no tea bags or coffee were provided. Housekeeping did not make the beds, and essential items like a toilet brush were missing. The breakfast offered was modest and lacked variety from day to day. Additionally, booking a dedicated slot for breakfast was necessary. In conclusion, if the cost were 40% less, it could be considered a decent option. However, at its current price point, it only meets an okayish standard.

I have no qualms. My stay was fabulous. Heat was working really well. My view of the canal was amazing! Breakfast was so/so but I did enjoy the complimentary options especially the coffee! Most people will love this comp breakfast! Would absolutely stay here again when I return to AMS. It was so close to everything which was a major plus for me

The location is pretty close to the Europe star train station. I booked this hotel with the assumption that we would get a canal view but it turned out to be false. The hotel is very clean and rooms are very spacious but it's about 20 mins walk to all touristy streets. I would have given service a 1 star if I could but manager Elisa was wonderful so I gave it a 3 star. Upon entering, the front desk attendant couldn't even squeeze one smile. As we continued to ask questions, her nonchalant attitude became more apparent. At one point, my friend wanted to add her IHG member number but needed a manager to override. So I took this opportunity to ask to speak with the manager because I felt like she wasn't really being helpful. She quickly responded, oh it will take a while. So she just wrote down the number and advised that the manager will review later. Her attitude came across discriminatory to me as we are Asians and she appeared to be Dutch. Or it could be a cultural thing? Nevertheless, if you work in a service industry, the basic courtesy is to greet the guests. Management, if you are reading this, she needs training. She is on the shorter side with shoulder length curly reddish brown hair. Anyway, I didn't want to make a scene so we went to fill up our water at the dining room but as we were preparing to leave the hotel for a day trip (our rooms were not ready), I saw a woman with the brightest smile. Her name tag says Elisa. I went up to her and asked if she was the manager and she happily responded yes and asked if she could help us with anything. She was really friendly and professional. Overall, my stay was without any hiccups. the rooms were very spacious and clean. Breakfasts had a great selection. I especially loved the fresh fruits and fresh squeezed orange juice. Thank you Elisa for your hospitality!

The staff were amazing and attentive. The manager seemed very kind and talkative. Place was clean all the time. The breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast restaurant were excellent. Well done. We changed the room as initially the first room was a little dusty on floor 1, as soon as we mentioned they accommodated us on floor 2 straight away. Simply for this reason I have to say it was great customer service with immediate response with a smile. Would stay again but location was pretty far even tho others said it was centrally located it takes 20-25 minutes to walk to from the hustle and bustle area. Other than the location it was fab Thank you Holiday Inn Amsterdam Central

At the end of a European adventure my daughter and I decided to spend 3 night in Amsterdam. After scouring over dozens of hotels, we decided for brand recognition and the familiar feeling of an IHG hotel. The room was perfect. Had a nice shower, clean bathroom, comfy beds. It was quiet and just a stone's throw from the action of Amsterdam. 4 minute walk to a market. Decent breakfast to get the motor running (not amazing, but fine) . Staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. Small type of hotel, but great for in and out. It is not a luxury hotel, but provides so many amenities. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.

Beautiful canal view from our room. Very quiet and nicely appointed room. Front desk very welcoming and helpful. Typical European breakfast of meat and cheeses along with different breads, fruit. Bar off reception small but nicely stocked.

Holiday inn express city was everything you can expect from a Holiday inn, you know what you are walking into every time. The room was clean and tidy. The general condition was good but the room was showing signs of damage/wear. The general service was good and everyone was friendly. We only made 1 request for an extra pillow which they did not follow through, which was disappointing. The breakfast area is small and you have to book a rough time slot. About 10 min walk from the central station. Ideal location for visiting the centre without being in the noisy areas. Would recommend if you are looking for a good place to stay without the concern of ending up somewhere odd.

Very clean, and spacious hotel. Rooms have all of the expected utilities, most cleverly placed to maximize room size. Breakfast was good, has a small bar behind reception.

The hotel is very close to everything with a reasonable walk. The staff is very polite and efficient. The facilities are very good. Breakfast is very good and adequate. The room is very comfortable. The shower is very good. Unfortunately there will not be a next stay. I think something very serious would prevent it, the mattress gave me and my wife back pain. Because of this, we didn't get a good nights sleep waking up every morning with back pain. One less important but annoying thing is the fact that the shower leaks water outside. Another thing that bothered me was the television that didn't work, but what is that compared to the city outside? So this item is smaller.

My sister and I stayed here for five nights back in mid-September. We were very pleased with our experience. The place is clean and nicely and efficiently furnished; the personnel is friendly and very helpful giving directions and attending to our needs. Breakfast offers a good variety and selection of nutritious food. We were also allowed to make sandwiches to take with us. My sister had a pair of pants to be laundered and that took longer than we had been told. The location of this hotel seems to be not-so-good but it’s safe and close to the train station, the Nemo Museum of Science and two blocks around the corner is a well-stocked supermarket which closes quite late. The last night there, some naughty costumer pulled the fire alarm and we all had to evacuate and wait outside about 10 or 15 minutes but it really wasn’t a big deal. Overall, great place to stay!

Disgusting hotel! Room was found dirty! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone for the price as it is!! Workers are lazy and very rude. The reception went smoothly but they were rude towards me because I did not speak proper English. I am using google translate to translate what I want to say! The manager does not even know what to do when I complain about my stay she just replied go to another hotel. My goodness what horrible service

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The location is ideal. The check in was efficient and all members of staff I interacted with were friendly, attentive and helpful. The public areas including the corridors leading to rooms are clean and beautiful. The one downside was that it's on a very busy intersection and the sound in the room is incredibly loud from the outside so I got zero sleep. Maybe request a room away from the main road.

Perfect place to stay. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The ladies working the front desk during my stay (15-17 Oct) should definitely be rewarded because they were the best. The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was included, and having different times for breakfast definitely was great. I definitely would stay here again. -David

The small room was nice with an excellent AC... But i asked for a room with canal view and the room is underwater. When you look out the window your eyes are just above water level It was a little disconcerting. Also the breakfast wasn't very good.. No scrambled eggs.. No bacon. The staff was friendly and professional.

Nice Hotel in good location. But the same way it's located on very random and bland road. Great customer service 5+. Breakfast is like an airport food but it's not staff fault. Just bread and coffee vey Dutch.
