NOT
recommended
for
inexperienced
solo
backpackers.
There
are
limited
facilities
but
they
are
usually
clean
(though
the
toilets
need
air
freshener
replaced
more
often).
Beds
are
modern
and
in
good
condition.
The
room
I
was
in
was
quite
large
however
locker
space
is
very
limited.
The
location
is
a
bit
far
from
the
center
to
be
ideal.
The
kitchen
is
small
for
the
number
of
people
who
use
it,
having
only
one
set
of
hotplates.
It's
okay
though.
It
could
be
a
decent
place
for
a
few
nights
but
there
are
a
lot
of
long
stays
here.
More
on
that
later.
The
atmosphere
here
could
be
seen
as
entertaining
if
not
particularly
safe.
There
are
a
lot
of
single
older
males
here
who
often
drink
a
lot
(encouraged
by
staff).
If
you
are
just
passing
through
the
lobby
this
is
probably
unlikely
to
usually
become
problematic.
I'm
sure
they
all
have
interesting
stories
but
I
have
enough
of
my
own.
I
have
not
had
so
much
cash
go
missing
anywhere
in
Europe
and
I
have
been
outside
the
EU.
Admittedly
I
can
be
lax
with
security
because
I
like
to
know
what
kind
of
people
are
around
me.
Again,
never,
ever,
anywhere,
have
I
been
stolen
from
more
often
than
at
Dutchies
hostel.
I
stayed
less
than
two
weeks.
The
rest
of
this
review
is
really
meant
to
provide
insight
to
the
owner
from
a
peceptive
external
perspective.
First
I
will
talk
about
a
prominent
member
of
staff
who
I
will
refer
to
as
"S".
Weekday
morning
routine
at
this
hostel
consisted
of
"S"
arriving
to
the
hostel
already
in
a
highly
agitated
state.
He
would
then
begin
berating
other
members
of
staff
for
minor
inconsistencies
in
the
booking
system.
Obviously
in
the
face
of
such
barely
restrained
aggression
the
recipient
becomes
flustered
and
the
learning
center
in
their
brain
shuts
down.
The
fellow
simply
should
not
be
allowed
near
other
staff
unsupervised.
I
am
NOT
a
feminist
but
I
saw
behaviour
here
I
consider
totally
inappropriate.
Contact
me
for
details.
I
don't
want
to
deal
with
this
kind
of
garbage
while
I
am
trying
to
enjoy
my
poffertje
ontbite
tyvm.
I'm
not
sure
what
Franca
does.
She
is
obviously
not
training
staff
effectively.
From
what
I
observed
she
just
kind
of
floats
around
gossiping
about
guests
and
handling
their
privacy
and
personal
information
totally
inappropriately.
I
could
be
wrong
but
she
seems
like
dead
weight.
I
also
have
suspicions
that
staff
are
involved
in
thievery
and
in
the
concealment
of
thievery.
I
was
asked
to
leave
the
hostel
before
I
was
able
to
meet
with
the
manager
about
video
footage
during
a
window
of
time
when
€50
went
missing
from
my
room.
The
footage
could
have
ruled
out
a
member
of
staff.
I
did
try
to
make
this
clear
to
"S"
but
he
was
either
blinded
by
mindless
rage
or
he
was
intentionally
preventing
me
from
being
able
to
view
the
footage.
It
does
not
look
good
when
money
goes
missing
and
soon
afterwards
the
staff
are
drinking
€50
of
booze
and
sharing
it
with
their
pets.
My
perspective
is
that
"S"
needs
(as
a
minimum)
anger
management
counselling
and
would
be
better
served
by
a
full
psychological
assessment.
He
is
also
obviously
struggling
to
cope
with
the
stress
involved
in
his
workload.
The
management
team
would
function
better
with
a
more
productive,
level
headed
and
reasonable
manager.
There
is
probably
somebody
suitable
already
on
staff.
Ask
me
for
details.
Bonus
segment.
"S"
uses
alcohol
as
payment
to
buy
positive
reviews
and
to
keep
him
secure
in
his
position.
Undoubtedly
staff
will
be
too
fearful
to
say
anything
negative
about
him
and
guests
will
say
positive
things
about
him
because
he
buys
them
booze.
Supposedly
using
hostel
money.
To
confirm
much
of
what
I
have
said
you
would
need
to
review
video
footage
or
talk
to
certain
members
of
staff
secretly.
In
any
case
I
hope
I
have
helped.
Happy
to
remove
this
portion
from
the
review
upon
request.
