We stayed for a week, and it was exceptional. The structure is super organized, rooms are cozy and very clean! The bed is extremely comfortable! And the service, no words, super attentive and very friendly! And it's worth mentioning that the location is perfect, right next to the metro, trams, markets, restaurants, the Heineken museum, simply perfect for exploring Amsterdam. The facility has stairs to access the rooms, just a tip for those with mobility issues.

It can't even be called a "hotel". € 70 per night, per person, with city tax. Very limited space, fourth floor without a lift. Dirty sheets and pillows, we asked to change them but they only changed the pillows leaving the sheets dirty for all the remaining days. Only three towels, we asked for three more but they only gave us two and only for half a day because they took them back despite our request. Always empty bubble bath container. No daily cleaning service. In short, very bad, absolutely not recommended.

Unhygienic rooms! Guys, don't even dare to stay here. Rooms are dirty and little hygienic. My friend and I stayed here for 3 days, and on the second day we founds ticks on the beds. Hugs bugs full of blood. We killed about 6 of them before entering in panic. We talked to the staff and they gave us a new room, but dude! That's disgusting, you can get lime disease from those bugs. Authorities should check this place! Very very very very expensive, dirty and unhygienic!

Please don’t stay at this horrible hotel. It’s a big fraud! We wanted to cancel our stay based on the poor reviews and they confirmed the cancelation went through with no penalty fee. Unfortunate they still charged us for the stay even though they said it was okay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

We were very lucky to find this place for 2 nights we paid 150€ for 4 beds which is insane for a hotel close to the heart of Amsterdam. Its located at 5 minutes walk from the Van Gogh museum. On the other hand if you have a bummed knee, I will not recommend this place. The stairs are extremly steep and at some point it feels dangerous as well. But for us it was ok.

Terrible experience. The room was dirty including pillows etc. There was water leaking from the window and mold on the walls. Not even a minibar, not to mention we paid 150€ for one day due to last minute reservation.

The rooms are ok, and the bathroom is moderne renovated with tiles on floor and walls. A little hard but still comfortable bed. Steep stairs and no elevator. Located near the Rikjsmuseum. Close to tram lines, and metro (two stops from Amsterdam Centraal).

The room was kind of neat until we noticed that they didn't clean it. The bed's sheets were kind of dirty and some empty bottles were under the bed. Altough, it was situated at a good location.

It is OK but needs more refreshing inside, I wouldn't recommend for that price, 50 euro more in taxes for 3 days stay, rip off, you need serious decorating inside but in overall good place ).

The room was beyond small, more like sleeping in a sardine can. In the shower I even had to kneel down because the ceiling was too low. For over 100€ a night & outside the centre it‘s a big disgrace.

Lovely friendly and helpful staff. It is a cheap hotel so don't expect perfection but for the price and the free breakfast, location and staff I would stay again

Nice experience. The room was tidy. The woman who works there seems to be the only personal, but she is very friendly and helpful. On the first morning she offered me another room because the ceiling was so low without me asking for it and also helped me with a Problem with my sim.card. The breakfast is rich and tasty. The sleeping drunk man in the basement and the bag with paint brushes and old bananas was interesting. It's an old town house with no elevator if thats importan for you because you can't take the stairs. There is no mini bar but a vending machine where you can get snacks and drinks at night. I would recommend the sphinx hotel but ask for another room if you are above 1,80 and get one of the rooms the top floor :)

So I arrived for 4 nights in Amsterdam with my friends. We wanted a hostle in a good location because we knew we'd be out all days and just need a place to stay. To be honest, my friend booked the hostle and when I checked it out my expectations were pretty low because it seemed to me the rooms were very very small. Overall, it was pretty OK there. CREW: At first we booked a room for 5 people and at the last minute we had another person with us, they gave us another bed it didn't change the price dramatically.... We arrived at about 3AM and the guy at the receptioin accepted us at that hour very kindly and offered us coffee and other drinks from the machine... The crew were very nice especially the exchange student from Latvia who let me use the kitchen! They helped us with whatever we needed (towels, sheets, toilet paper, recommendations etc) . ROOMS & CLEANING: So the room was a little bigger than I expected but I think that's because we had the underground floor. Walls are thin so you can hear anything that's going on in the other room but in our luck there wasn't much noise. NO LIFT! JUST STEEP STAIRS. I didn't have much problem with that because i only had one floor to go. But it could get dangerous with lugagge or if you're drunk I guess... Room was a little dusty (air fan was dirty so we put it away ) under the bed there was also a lot of dust like they don't wash the floors... We got new towels every day and beds were neat. Comfortable enough for a good sleep! Bathroom was clean and there was shampoo and handwash, and air fresher with good smell. Only problem with the shower the wasn't anything to prevent the water from coming out, it was an open shower with no door.... it dried very fast tho. FREE WIFI :D Breakfast for 5 euros BUT at the end of our staying we were left with 6 cans of coca cola so we gave it at the reception for other people to enjoy. The receptionist who was there offered breakfast for free There was a lot of good choices! Eggs, bread, toasts, cheese, ham, veggies... drinks...cereal... a lot of yummy choices! LOCATION: GREAT LOCATION!! It was 20 minutes WALK from Dam Squre! There's plenty of shops and cafes around. There's "The Avocado Show" near by A supermarket with low prices An amazing indian resturant (and many more) a good coffee shop with great staff... its near public transport. very easy to get by.... My morning always started at the same resturant because we loved the breakfasts there and the crew! It's called "De Carrousel" they serve great pancakes, waffels, english breakfast!

First off, I do not mean any offence to the staff in this place by giving a low review. To be really frank, front desk was awesome. Generally the staffs were very helpful and friendly and i had a good time communicating with them, I feel almost sorry for giving such a bad review. However to be fair, the rooms were horrible. My room that I booked (for a really hefty price just less that 15 euros over Novotel) was placed at the 4th floor. Steep and tight fitted staircase which anyone would agree is a challenge to bring an over 15kg luggage to the top. In fact I left the luggage at their storage for the entire stay. Room was really small and stuffy. There were sticky stains on the bed sheet. Besides being rather basic it was also dirty. The shared toilet was stinky, the bath was moldy. Well, the breakfast was pretty decent but still, this is hands down one of my worst paid stay in my entire history. Hands down. I sincerely hope that this place with it's truly strategical advantages, could find more ways to improve themselves as I can see the potential of growth if they truly commit.

One of the worst hotels i have ever been. the service is a disgrace, and the rooms are not clean. price is low but below average of humanity.

The hostel is pretty good. It's not a high standard but it's not that expensive. The rooms were clean and had also a television. Also the included breakfast is good. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate you can geat for free during the day.

Really comfy bed and all in all clean, especially the (private) bathroom. Staff was really helpful and nice! Had a private room for 65 Euro and it was totally worth it! We will come back again

👍👍 I’m recommending to visit that tower to everybody who is visiting Amsterdam city. Super place if you want to see entire city from the sky. Tickets are around 15 euros. 😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night. Also noisy because of the "cigarette smokers". There are no rules and regulations - or if t...
