Very cozy restaurant in Amsterdam east in a residential neighbourhood but definitely worth a detour! The ambience is great, reflecting a restaurant that's been here for many years. The food was very good, french bistro style with fusion kitchen influences. With a party of 5 we had starters of tuna and pork belly, next mains of tuna, entrecote and dorade. The dishes were accompanied with verdejo white wine and primitivo red wine, both fine for their prices. As desserts we had affogato, cheese cake and tiramisu, all of excellent quality! So in short, worth detour, make sure to make a reservation as this place was packed on a Tuesday evening (!).

Everything was delicious especially this vegetarian burger. 🙌🏻

Bar 1900 is the place for a drink and a snack. Friendly people. Good beers, comfortable couch and nice music. I'm not a big fan of corn on my fries or chili sauce on my nachos. Besides that: 👍

Ordered a pork roast which has a pretty subtle taste but overall ambiance and service in the resto was quite nice.

Lovely Restaurant with great food. Been there twice, first time was a not so nice waitress, but the young gentlemen from today was great… Even gave us some tourism tipps! Can remcommend!

Fantastic atmosphere. Healthy kapsalon was amazing, as was the lobster bisque. A delightful surprise when ordering the duck breast to find it cooked 2 ways (stewed and pan baked). Service was fantastic and price very reasonable.

Exquisite lunch spot with unexpected delicious foods. We came in unassumingly without knowing or reading anything prior, and is pleasantly surprised how tasty the foods are. The service is also classy and friendly without it ever being too much. Really love to sit and eat there again when it’s good weather, enjoying the slow Amsterdam life.

Super nice staff, service and food. I live around here and once locked myself out. They were kind enough to let me borrow their fridge for storing groceries. Also, how nice is it that the taps in their toilet ran hot water by default in this freezing winter :)

Absolutely fantastic food, service and location! The food is so delicious, i ordered the sandwich and truffle soup, the flavors were bursting! It really warms my heart and stomach. Highly recommend, especially for families. There’s also a small park and water fountain close to the restaurant ♥️

The "healthy kapsalon" was great. Worried a bit about the "healthy" in this context but it was delicious.

Perfect place in a cozy neighborhood. We had a great time, the food was delicious. I had the rood zeebas. I totally recommend this dish. The service was excellent and the atmosphere as well.

Had lovely snacks, coffee drinks, during our family reunion and luckily outside in a nice Amsterdam neighborhood just outside the hustle and bustle from the main centre. Authentic Amsterdam. Loved it

Lovely restaurant away from the hustle and noise of the shopping area, but close and easy to find, warm and friendly staff giving good service (very un-Dutch) great food at reasonable prices. The rendang lunch was really good

Lovely square with fountain to look at. Not the quickest service but the food is great. I’d suggest Ijwit and healthy kapsalon on a sunny day…

Great location & delicious food - ordered the Kapsalon Sla with Kip. Fresh ingredients (includes 4 varieties of salad leaves, tomatoes, radishes, avo, cucumber, cheese, baby pickled onions, Parmesan, sweet potato fries etc & with added kip). Very very good. Friendly staff - however service can be a bit slow.

The service outside is terrible. This is the second time we've been there and after (again) waiting for 40 minutes, We had yet to be able to order a single drink
