The central location and nice decor cannot make up for the poor service provided at this restaurant. Our waiter came across as disinterested and seemed to actively ignore our table. Once our order was eventually taken, we waited over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. The wait was long enough such that another table of equal size had been served their food and had finished eating entirely. By the time our food did come out to us it was tasty but cold, we expected the food to be warm at the very least. Once we were finished, the wait staff very promptly cleaned our table and moved us on. It is clear that service in this restaurant do not care about your dining experience but do care to turnover your seat as quickly as they can once you appear to be finished. I would not recommend eating here.

We went there for breakfast last december. The location is very central and the restaurant looks good. But those prices? We don‘t even pay that in switzerland. 7€ for each croissant and 8€ for an orange juice? Well, we still ordered. Maybe it could be some special… It was a failure.

Located right in front of the Dam Square Majestic cafe offers many different food and drinks. We had coffee which was good but a bit pricey. Service was good.

The nachos were soggy as if it’s been frozen then reheated right before being served. And the cheese weren’t even enough for all the nachos. Wouldn’t recommend paying this much for such poor quality.

Horrible attitude of staff. We’re vegetarian. Wanted to have spaghetti with vegetables and Tomato sauce which is not on card. Vegetales we’re not possible and the way tomato sauce was sold as a big favour. Arrogantly told that the price would be same so that we don’t create scene later. What an attitude to talk to the customers. The food quality is ok but looks better than taste. The salad had taste of meat. however the order was not taken after properly listening

Tourist trap, they take the payment in the middle of the service, like they are afraid that the people will run away without paying. Service is very selective, guests with suits go first. Do not go! P.S. Info for the owner: the service just comes to the table without presenting a bill, just saying the amount, very happy when clients pay in cash…

Majestic Restaurant in Amsterdam is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. From the moment you step through the doors, you're transported to a world of elegance and sophistication. The ambiance is simply exquisite. The tasteful decor, soft lighting, and attentive staff create an atmosphere that is both welcoming and refined. It's the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. And the food? Oh, where do I begin? Each dish is a work of art, meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients. The flavors are bold, yet harmoniously balanced. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite is a symphony of taste. The service is impeccable. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive without being intrusive. They enhance the overall dining experience, ensuring that every guest feels like royalty. While Majestic offers a world-class dining experience, it's worth noting that this level of quality comes with a corresponding price tag. However, the exceptional food and service more than justify the cost. In conclusion, Majestic Restaurant in Amsterdam is a culinary gem that should be on every food lover's list. It's a five

Decided to go there for a drink as it’s located just in front of my hotel. Nice location next to the big mall in Amsterdam but the service wasn’t that good. I went there 2 times while I was there, as I thought maybe the second time I would have a better service, but surprisingly all the waiters and waitresses were so arrogant and not interested at all. Overpriced.

Nicest meal we've had in Amsterdam so far. The soups and the sandwiches was beautifully made and tasted great. The service was excellent and the staff does look after you very well. The facilities (toilets) are spotlessly clean and very hygienic. Prices aren't so bad either!

Food is average at best. Service better than food. Atmosphere ok. Prices quite high for what you get. Basically a tourist trap type place.

Bad service! .. we asked for ginger tea, and they server water with 3 pieces of ginger. We were confused if the tea supposed to be like that.: and the waiter was very rude and say yes and it is your fault you did not drink when it was hot.. came with another glass and a wrong attitude and say it drink it ! 5,80 € for a hot water with a piece of ginger

The salad looks sad. It was edible but not that great. The service is slow. I had to wait for utensils 🍴 after my food arrived. Waited long for the check.

It is bit pricey. We paid 5.5 euros for a machine made cappuccino. It was a bit of disappointment to hear that they don't have oat milk or any other kind of plant based milk. I ordered a regular cappuccino anyway.

In the city centre of Amsterdam is the Dam Square. The Royal Palace on one side, the National Monument in memory of WW II 1940-1945, is in the centre, and Majestic cafe sits at the corner. It’s the perfect spot to grab lunch and people watch. So much going on at the Square. It’s right next to the luxury department store De Bijenkorf. The menu is pretty simple offering sandwiches, soup, deep fried bitterballen, kroket, fries with different toppings. The usual beers and wine by the glass and other drinks for people watching. The tomato soup was good with fresh tomatoes with croutons on the side. Healthy sandwich came with fresh vegetables and sliced hard boiled egg. Huge portion. Veal kroket was good with small chunks of veal in the filling. Came with 2 huge slices of bread. Very tasty. Service was good and efficient. It was perfect to eat and chill out to people watch. Refuel and then back to wandering around the city.

Great location near the Ripley's belive it or not, Madam Taussauds and the Royal Palace. The food was okay and we didn't had to wait more than 5 minutes for it. The waiter (named Ioana) was really helpful and nice. The gentleman that was in charge with sitting people in the tables was clearly stressed out, which was made pretty noticeable several times during the course of the meal. * If you are a plus size person I have to warn you that the chairs are really uncomfortable in the outside sitting area.

You will see when people do not respect what we can write to you The employees are rubbish that were taken from the container .. with frowning faces .. they ignore you, lie, delay in responding and quarrel with customers .. I think that the Dutch owner of the cafe brought them without contracts to harass customers .. There is one employee who you will know is good from his smile, unfortunately I do not know his name .. If you Don't know anything about racism and discrimination go to this restaurant. Even the martini I adore, they brought it in a small glass.. The owner wants to get rich with austerity.. Strange employees with low salaries and drinks in small moldy cups.. The meals are very small than other restaurants.. Owner, you will get rich 🤧

10€ for 2 teas is a bit expensive, but I attribute it to being in Dam Square, the service is good, the waiters are polite and fast, the WC needs cleaning. The view and ambiance was amazing. Thanks!

The service was great. The food wasn't that special and there wasn't enough salt in the pasta bolognese, but we asked for salt and pepper and it was served immediately. Also, in my opinion the meat could've been more. The steak on the photo was 41EUR, it's very overpriced if you look at how the plate was served. However the carpaccio was tasteful and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. In conslusion: the prices were high eventhough it's on an A-location. Service was great and the food was fine.

Kind of tourist trap. The location is great, but the quality of food is below acceptable average. I had an apple cake from Holtkamp which is one of the best patisseries in town and I love their deserts, but it was served very cold, almost frozen in the middle… Coffee from an automatic machine is not smth I would recommend. Take black tea instead, it will be safer. Toast was the basic plain white toast bread with a slice of cheese and ham, no extra effort to make taste or look better than it actually is.

I would recommend Majestic if you are looking for a place to wind down after walking the Amsterdam streets. It’s located at the Dam Square and is well connected by public transport so you can have fun here until it closes.

I ask for rib and it was smelling. And it’s taste is not good. I asked the waiter to change it. He was so polite and do it but actually we firstly spent money in restaurant for the food.

An excellent location, excellent staff, verygood food, prices a bit high, nice atmosphere, near tram 24 Dam station, we had the best burgers there, and we had a modest fish and chips plate, that I will order again, and had chicken and salmon, both were great. The staff were so friendly

I appreciated that the restaurant was open at 2PM. Most restaurants in Amsterdam open after 5-6 PM so it was great we found Majestic. We had a sunny day and enjoyed our meal there.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
