Such an excellent breakfast with superb service. We ate here on a Sunday morning and absolutely loved the welcoming, charming atmosphere. Our waiter (who was brand new) was so fun, witty, and made us feel right at home. Try the fresh orange juice—it is seriously sublime. Also loved the cat who apparently hangs out there. Honestly, just such a great way to start the day. PS. If you’re celiac like me (or gluten intolerant), this is an excellent choice. They have gluten free bread—or you can opt for without. Either way, they’re very accommodating and are very conscious of food restrictions.

I really wanted an oatmeal and Piqniq had it on the menu with a few other delicious breakfast plates. We got there on a Friday morning, a little after 9am and there were only a couple of other tables taken. They don't have many tables inside but there are some more outside. We waited only 10 minutes for our breakfast to be served and it was delicious. The croissant was also crunchy and fresh and the jam was very good and complemented the croissant nicely. Besides coffees they have teas and some more drinks like fresh orange juice. Service was outstanding, the two kind ladies were friendly and lovely. There is a small bathroom on the premises. If I stayed in Amsterdam longer I'd definitely come here for breakfast regularly. Recommend it!

If you are intolerant to gluten, this is the best place where you can go. The staff is amazingly friendly and the food super fresh and lekker (yummy). We liked that much that we went there twice in 2 weeks. Super recommendable !!!

I had an amazing breakfast in this place, cozy and warm full of handmade products such as cakes, waffles, muffins, etc. The coffee and the cappuccino were amazing even for Italian standards. It’s not big inside and there’s a small terrace outside on the pavement, so expect to wait a bit, it’s well worth it. There’s also an adorable visiting cat from the restaurant in front, that can make you company for a perfect and relaxing snack.

Delicious food!! Reasonable prices comparing to all cafes and restaurants around. Small portions but really good food! Freshly made and cozy atmosphere feels like home. Cheese sandwich was so fresh and delicious! You havr to try the baguette that comes with scrambled eggs!! It’s warm fluffy and so so so good. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended ❤️

This cozy café in the Jordaan district of Amsterdam oozes ambiance, the most delectable gluten-free menu options and the friendliest staff I've encountered in such a long time. And the beautiful black cat lying on one of the benches was just the icing on the cake. Afterwards you can meander through Jordaan's residential lanes or along the commercial streets (but please don't get run over by furiously pedalling cyclists) drinking in the architecture, shopping...

I’m writing this review after a second visit to Amsterdam, and my second visit to Piqniq. The atmosphere here is quite cosy and the staff are always friendly. Prices aren’t too bad either! I plan on always coming here whenever I visit Amsterdam.

What a fun place for brunch / lunch! The concept really is picnic-like: You order 2, 3, or 4 items from a good-sized list of sandwiches, soups, salads, and hot dishes such as quiche, and the staff brings out a single plate with all your small portions. Everything we had was delicious, but my favorite was probably the quiche. Dessert was also tasty. Of course, this is all enhanced by the presence of Pedro the cat, who visits from a nearby establishment. We were lucky enough to be seated next to Pedro's blanket, which meant we got to enjoy petting him and just being in his presence! Reservations recommended for weekends.

A must-visit whilst you are strolling the streets of Amsterdam. The warm welcome from the staff...the cozy atmosphere...the delicious, homemade food...and the great prices...all well worth it. I felt so peaceful and happy in this place, I didn't want to leave.

This is an amazing place. Cozy with a great ambiance They have a very simple menu, and their use of fresh and sustainable ingredients is noticeable. It is also vegetarian friendly. For tourist like me, this place is close to major attractions, such as, the Anne Frank Hause and the Madame Tussauds Museum.

Had brunch here our first morning in Amsterdam. Perfect way to start our trip! Menu allows you to select three different options for your plate (with lots of variety to choose from) for a reasonable price. All items were delicious, especially the tomato soup! Friendly staff and a quaint atmosphere.. Highly recommend!

Had a really good experience with the Piqniq Chef / owner Paulien. They went above and beyond to assist me and the food was spectacular and tasty. Ordered the high tea food package and a few extra sandwiches. Nice presentation and packaging. Highly recommend and great customer service!

Everything about this place is incredible. The atmosphere is adorable, the food is DIVINE. The salmon sandwich and goat cheese are the two best things I've ever eaten. Favourite restaurant in Amsterdam by far. And to make it even better, ladies and gentlemen...HIM! Pedro, the wonderful little kitty who has his own little saucer and cup for water. The portions are designed to be small, so it's like you're creating your own picnic!! Cannot recommend this place enough. WE LOVE YOU, PEDRO!!

I beautiful small place, next to a calm street. You order two, three small, super tasty small dishes and have the best picnic in Amsterdam. And everything is fresher then fresh.

Glacially slow, seat people out of order, reservation means nothing. The first time we tried to go, they took so long (20+ minutes) to get to us it had switched from breakfast to lunch by 1 minute and they wouldn't let us order breakfast. The next time, they also took so long to get to us they'd run out of food.

We went there for breakfast, and we left very happy. Everything was delicious and the waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. 15€ breakfast for two (bacon and cheese croissant, bacon and cheese sandwich, 2 freshly oresswd orange juices and coffe) seems like a great price. Would go there again for sure.

High quality and fresh products, prepaired with passion. The concept is to have a real picnic, so they recommend you to take at least 2-3 dishes. There is also the possibility to have gluten-free food. The staff is friendly. If you have some luck, you can meet the cat of the owner.

Lovely cafe on a quiet street of Amsterdam - choose 2, 3 or 4 small dishes to have with a coffee, juice or tea. Great way to try several different types of food at once! For a very reasonable cost too! Beautiful presentation of the food was also a bonus! Highly recommended!

Great food and customer service, soup is great (and I'm normally a non-soup person hehe) and quality of everything is amazing! Went with my partner and just followed the suggestions given by the staff, who provided a great service.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
