Mount Everest is the best restaurant in Amsterdam. Service just perfection! We loved it here! Thank you so much! Also for the Limoncello❤️

First dinner in Amsterdam at Mount Everest Tandoori. And its the best. A very cozy environment and a very well setted menu. Will be visiting again during my stay in Amsterdam. I couldn't have asked for more. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very expensive, but A LOT of food! Good quality as well. They were really kind, we went pretty and served us quickly and didn’t pressure us at all. They were kind enough to put what everything we didn’t eat in a box to take home so the food wouldn’t go to waste.

Pros: Good food, soft and tasty chicken and lamb used in masala and balti. Cons: Quite pricey for such a place and food type. Long waiting time. Extremely small soft drinks for the price. Bonus note: There was lots of lemongrass in all foods which is strange for Indian ones such as masala. This was extremely unpleasant as lemongrass is the only thing I truly cannot stand from all Asian cuisines.

SUPER delicious food, the staff was super nice and super super welcoming, if I could I would definitely leave more stars. The place is really cosy, the food is sooooo good and of good quality as well. Will definitely come back again. Thank you!❤️

Food: The starters are really good. Soups are must try. Both mushroom and tomato soup were yummy. Momos were tasty. The main course was okay. Found gravy to be the same for all that we ordered. Tea is refreshing also must be tried. Service bit slow. Probably cos of less staff. But otherwise, staff is very polite and accommodating and mainly smiling. The atmosphere could be a little more cozy. Overall all a good experience. But there is scope of improvement. While writing all this I was all the time thinking about momos and soups😁

I don't leave a lot of 5-star reviews, but the Nepalese lamb choylla phokhara was honestly one of the best dishes I have tasted in ages. I highly, highly recommend it. It turns out the owner is Nepalese, and this is his specialty dish. It's also worth noting the garlic naan is unusually fantastic. The service here is also exceptional. The owner gives lots of attention to every guest. Oh, I almost forgot, you must try the Indian style ice cream!!

Had a delicious family dinner in Mount everest tandoori. They serve different Nepali and Indian dishes. Try the garlic nan and palak paneer (spinich with Indian cheese) 😋

Delicious! The service was a bit slow, but it was definitely worth the wait. Perfect amount of spice and they were able to add extra for those that wanted it. Highly recommend the chicken jalfrezi!

We went here for dinner since our hotel was close by. I'm not going to lie for the price I had better Indian food in other places of the world. That being said the food was very decent and prices were fair for Amsterdam. Would go there again.

Ordered here two times and both times the delivery guy / owner was starting an argument. Not believing me I was the one who ordered and profiling in a huge way. The unbelievable racist way of handeling this is mind blowing. Sorry for not fitting in your demography. Never again! Not recommended.

Surprisingly disappointed. Not the cleanest. Little water flies and distinct smell from the water system. If the bathroom door was kept closed…. The flies weren’t around so much. Food was not seasoned well at all. Butter chicken, chicken tikka…. No season inside. Prawn appetizer…. Eh…. Overly priced! I repeat…. Overly priced! They are sooooo slow. I hear what people say about worth the wait… but it’s not. Plenty of other tasty Nepalese/Indian style food out here.

We dined here on Feb 14th, and the food was delicious. However, we ordered korma (sweet/spicy), and it was too spicy for my liking. Despite the spiciness, the flavors were amazing. Nevertheless, they still need to work on their service. There was only one person serving the entire restaurant, and his attire didn’t match the prices they charge for meals. Additionally, the service was extremely slow. We waited nearly 30 minutes before our order was taken, and our drinks were forgotten. Furthermore, my starter wasn’t served due to a misunderstanding. I understand it was Valentine’s night and it was busy, but I wanted to point out that there is room for improvement in terms of service. Nonetheless, the food was delicious.

We went there on the last day of our Amsterdam trip. Both, the starters and the main dishes were delicious. The chef was very friendly and even asked if we want it more spicy (which one of us happily agreed). Very easy to reach via Metro. 100% a recommendation.

Great food, great family run restaurant. Highly recommend trying the Nepalese special, Choilla, which is stir fried lamb or chicken tossed with peppers and onions in exquisite spices, served over rice. On the heat scale 1-10 it's a 3. On the flavor scale it's a 10. It comes with a bowl of potato and pea soup, perfect on chilly evenings. A must try. The service is very friendly, and the family will answer any questions. You'll come back, guaranteed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the very good food, maybe a bit pricey but we had a 30% discount because we reserved on The Fork and like that the price was perfect. ⭐⭐⭐ For the service, which is friendly and nice but I didn't like to see that they were a bit too reluctant in serving us tap water. When we asked for water they just brought a full glass which I think it's quite a cheap approach towards the clients. ⭐⭐⭐ For the venue. I would suggest a refresh to the interior of the place. Let's say that the design of the place is definitely not the strong point of this restaurant. In any case the food was very delicious and we really appreciated it!

My butter chicken is yummy. It’s too bad that it took almost an hour to get to my table. I actually walked into the kitchen to order my food after having been here for about 25 minutes. My table is by the door and it’s been a constant in-and-out. It’s chilly outside so it’s been pretty uncomfortable. I’m out of water too and I’m probably going to have to walk into the kitchen and get it myself.

A really bad place, avoid! Expect to wait 1 hour to get any food. We sat there a family, ordered the food and got nothing, not even starters after 20min. I asked when the food will be ready, they said 30 more minutes. Waiting 50 minutes just to get our food, even the starters is obnoxious. Really terrible experience!

Not good. Way too expensive and the food truly wasn't worth it. Long waiting time despite the restaurant being empty. Was really disappointing

We came here for the excellent reviews on tripadvisor. The food is alright but not special. Price is higher than other Indian restaurants in Amsterdam, which can be compensated if you reserve via certain channels for a discount. The athmosphere was alright. The younger waiter could not really explain the dish when asked during ordering. The owner was friendly.

The food is great. It can be little spicy. You can get 30% discount by reservation. The chiken tandoori is best menu. Server is polite and has good manner. The price for 2 person(2menus and 2 drinks) is about 40Euro without reservation.

The waiter greeted us in the doorstep. He was very quick to serve and polite. We had the Tandori menu. It tasted amazing. Especially the chicken. We have spend about two hours there. Will come back for sure !

I had an unforgettable experience at Mount Everest Tandoori restaurant. The food was simply outstanding, with flavors that transported my taste buds straight to the Nepal and India. The warm, family-like hospitality provided by the owner and his mom truly added a special touch to the evening. They were not just hosts but also wonderful conversationalists, making us feel like cherished guests. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful culinary journey and heartwarming hospitality.
