Nice authentic Chinese restaurant! I love the boiled sliced pork belly w garlic sauce. I tasted exactly like the ones I had in China. The stewed pork belly slices had so much flavor and the meat was so juicy and tender. It's probably one of the best ones I've had, probably even better than the one my mom makes. 10/10 would recommend this place!

I had the pleasure of dining at Fulu Mandarin and it is undoubtedly one of Amsterdam's finest Chinese restaurants. The authenticity of their Sichuan cuisine exceeded my expectations. I recommend trying their Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce, as well as their diverse range of Sichuan Chicken dishes. It is a beloved local gem within the Chinese community, and if you like spicy food, you won't be disappointed – they're also happy to adjust the heat to your liking. The overall experience was nothing short of fantastic!

Super authetic place with such tasty and perfectly spicy food. Even as a vegetarian you can find some great tofu and vegetable dishes! We loved the variety in options and how everything from food to tables and decoration reflected the culture of china :)

Probably my favourite Sichuan restaurant in town. It’s a bit pricy and most options are spicy foods, but totally worth it if you’re good with that. I personally find all their dishes a tasty surprise. Pro tip: if you fall for this restaurant, ask the staff about their membership to get discounts in the future.

Good Chinese restaurant, staff were professional and caring. It seems that making reservation is required of you want to get available table. However we were lucky to show there without reservation and get a table. Food is classical Chinese with a lot of flavor and spicy. We tried beef and chicken based meals. Beef was spicy 3 out of 5, a little bit too much since spice covers all other flavors. Meat was good and soft. Rice good too. Damplings and soup were tasty and for recommendation. Overall we enjoyed decent food and proper service. We paid cca. 79 euro for meals together with bottle of water. Portion is quite big and one meal should be enough for 2 person. Just one warning, restaurant accepts only Debit card, not Credit one.

I agree with a lot of the reviews that say the food here is generally great. The Dried Fried Green Beans are the best I have had outside of China. The only dish I was not that keen on was the Sea Bass with sour cabbage and spicy sauce. Fish was a little dry/boney and flavours didn’t match the dish that I know and love. Other dishes were really good. I would give this place 4 stars if not for the disappointment of being charged for tap water. The menu stated that they would not charge if other drinks were ordered. We had ordered drinks and more food than we could eat. Apparently the charge is if a individual ordered a drink they could get tap water for free. I gave the water to my 4 year old who did not have a paid for drink. I get the rule if people were being cheap but having spent a good amount of money I would have appreciated water from the tap being complementary like in 99% of other restaurants. Left feeling disappointed rather than satisfied.

Food 8/10 I was really missing Chinese food after almost two weeks in Europe, so this place, despite being very pricey and clearly able to do that because it is the only Chinese restaurant around, was worth the visit. We got the green beans, duck blood hotpot, and cold cucumbers. Everything was the perfect amount of oil and flavoring for my palette back then. If I was anywhere else this would’ve been a decent spot, but in Amsterdam, it was an amazing restaurant. Enjoyed a beer while I was there too. Atmosphere 6/10 It felt a bit cramped and humid inside, but plenty of seating and multiple floors. Service 7/10 Friendly to me because I spoke Chinese haha

I have no regrets on eating here as the food were delicious and brings back memories from childhood. However the waiting time for the dishes and rice were kinda off. They gave us the meats first but have to wait for the for a long time for the rice and the side dishes of veggies, it was a bit annoying as obviously we are asians and when you serve the meat the rice should come along with it otherwise what is the point?!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I feel bad for always walking by, but as it's in a tourist area I didn't expect it to be great. How wrong I was! The atmosphere is lovely and you're greeted as soon as you walk in, it has several floors so plenty of seating. As is standard for Chinese restaurants, it has a wide selection of dishes to choose from. The mapo tofu and the aubergine were to die for, loved the pork dish but I definitely needed more rice for the spicy dishes (especially the fish)! I would recommend getting a variety of dishes whilst there so you can really appreciate the food they have to offer. I know I'll be visiting again!

This was a phenomenal place to eat dinner. Great location. Staff was helpful by giving tips on how much food comes with each order. Staff members Andy, and 03 Min were top notch. They deserve extra praise for making my experience memorable. 5 star everything!

The fish is fresh and soup is a bit spicy and salty but delicious. Eggplant stir fried is soft and tender. There is no free water. The hot water cost 1.90 euro per person and hot tea cost 3.90 per person which serve with 1 porcelain cup and 1 hot jar which should be drink for 2 but the restaurant allow for 1 per person. The price depends on the dish you order which average 20-30 euro per person once sharing. The restaurant accept only cash and debit card.

Very authentic Sichuan food (famous Chinese spicy region)! Most of dishes taste the same like in China, super tasty and Chinese spicy. Good food portion and some of dishes even offer 2 sizes Must order: Beans Spicy chicken (boneless is possible) Lamb burrito (quite spicy) Dumpling does not impress me / does not worth the price Overall good experience and waiting time is long because the place is always full until 21:30. Btw Quite pricy comparing to Germany…

Delicious spicy food. Very hot, so only for ones who can take it. If you can handle hot 🌶🌶🌶 then it is a perfect choice. Very delicious and authentic mandarin. Great deal with restaurant week.

Came here on a windy chilly night. The food was very delicious. The ticket price is on the higher side but the portion size is huge. We enjoyed the pork and chicken dishes so also the tea.

What a great restaurant! Had dinner here today and ordered three dishes and they all tasted amazing! the service is very good! the waiters are very friendly and help you in every way. we ordered the Classic Pork, Fish with sour veggies and the Sichuan Beef...wow these dishes definitely do not disappoint!! there were actually more dishes we wanted to try but with only 2 persons you can only try a few dishes (unless you grow Stomach Part 2 or 3? haha) I definitely recommend getting the signature dishes which are usually the top dishes when you select Beef, Chicken, Seafood etc on the tablet. After our dinner we also ordered the Bing fen (sort of Jelly dessert) which is freaking DELICIOUS!! I loved this dessert alot so I destroyed it completely :') Are you still with me? trust me on this... just order it after your meal! it definitely hits the spot after a spicy meal. You actually don't order through the tablet but you just click everything together and then the waiter will check what you've ordered then they will punch it into their systems. well if it works for them it's fine I guess...but it does feel a bit weird if you use tablet technology but the ordering process is still manually the waiters are really helpful though because a table next to us ordered like 4 dishes (2 dishes were the same) but the waitress asked why don't you make it 1 large dish? because it's cheaper and the amount of food you get is almost the same. I thought that was really nice of her...she could have kept her cool and let it slide...but i think honesty is something what counts...Definitely the first I heard in a Chinese restaurant (where earning money always comes first). You can pat yourself on the shoulder for this kind of behaviour! Well done on training your staff!! this Restaurant works efficiently with people standing at the doors speaking through microphones if there is a table free or not etc. All in all considering everything the service, food, great portions...i can only HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in Amsterdam and is craving for chinese food! Well done Fu Lu! I think you deserved the 5 stars! :-)

Best Chinese restaurant dining experience in Amsterdam! Providing attentive service and delicious dishes. Went with friends, we got a warm welcome, as the staff patiently explained the menu and dishes. The dishes are authentic Sichuan cuisine, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. The spicy chicken, beef with tofu, and dry-fried green beans are highly recommended. In addition, the restaurant conveniently located just across from Rokin metro station, also it's a mere 10-minute walk from Central Station. Highly recommended!

One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants near Dam Square! All my friends enjoyed the food at FuLu because the spicy and non-spicy dishes we had were both very tasty. There are also options for vegans and vegetarians, which is so nice!!  The spicy food in the restaurant is amazing. If you like spicy Sichuan food, don’t miss it!! 😆 All the food is of good quality, and most foods have large portions. I highly recommend lamb with black pepper, lamb burrito, and beef in sour soup, they are all very delicious!! Milk bubble tea and homemade ice lemon tea are very good drinks. 💕 I would say that I can have the best Chinese food at in Amsterdam here. The restaurant environment is very good, and the staff are very friendly. I recommend making a reservation before you visit, as they are always busy. For me, it was a nice experience, and I will definitely visit again!

This is a good chinese food place to go to with your friends and family. The portions are quite big for one person, so it’s best to grab more dishes and share them. Recommend the pineapple sweet and sour duck, very tasty and with the presentation it was really amazing! Would definitely come back.

We are visiting this place from time to time as it is a perfect escape from mundane daily meals. Our food choices this time were good but not perfect. We've ordered dumplings starter (5/5) beef in pepper sauce (4/5) and fish with sauerkraut (3/5). If you order meat/fish you have to take into account that you'll get some bones and there is not much vegetables. Servings were big for one person so I would highly recommend this place if you are group of 4+ and share all of the meals. In that case you'll have enough variety, you can try new things and even out tastes from different dishes.

Absolutely delicious authentic Chinese food, says it all having a lot of Chinese eating in. Deep in flavours, bit on the spicy side but can be handled. We were a party of 6, paid €220 but left stuffed and a doggy bag. As Pescetarian, I had the aubergine and the fish stew.

Went for the Restaurant Week Chef's Menu on a Thursday. Good food, the cold pork belly with spicy garlic sauce is definitely one of the highlights of the night. The mains were also good, the portions are big and we couldn't finish - it seems like a regular occurrence as one of the servers offered to pack it for us to take. The dessert was pumpkin cake, great custard inside but it was a bit too oily, still, good choice, nice and small. Only 2 downsides: the drinks are REALLY expensive even for Amsterdam Centrum standards, and the ventilation could be better - a nearby table ordered a dish that is cooked on a hot plate and everyone on the floor was coughing and sneezing from the peppers in that dish

The food was delicious. We enjoyed the fried fish with toppings (烤魚). Fried chicken with chilly. The food was well presented as its a bit pricy. The service was a bit slow, all the staff are busy. The restaurant located in central and very busy, better to reserve before your visit.

Food was great! Coming in from Singapore this was the closest authentic Chinese food I found! The appetizer: steamed chicken dumplings were great. Their main dishes (spicy chicken, steamed fish) were delicious and authentic but one dish I ordered, their fried rice, wasn’t comparable - would be great if they could flavor it more! And a little cramped at time, restaurant gets busy so it’s tough when tables are quite near each other.

PORTIONS ARE HUGE! It was delicious but we order waaaaay too much food! Keep that in mind whenever you order and if you are still hungry, just add as you go along. The atmosphere is cozy, quaint and lovely and the food stays true to culture and authentic tastes and spices (both flavors and heat levels) which I thoroughly appreciate.

The service was very good, location couldn’t be more centric. The dumplings were good but not amazing. My favorite part was the main dish and I would like to come back and try something spicy!

FuLu is undeniably a must-visit restaurant in Amsterdam, boasting a prime location just a one-minute walk from Dam Square. The restaurant's central position makes it easily accessible, adding to the overall appeal of the dining experience. Upon entering FuLu, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of the dishes. Three of us ordered three different dishes, and the servings were substantial, leaving us pleasantly satiated. The standout dish that we highly recommend is the dry-fried pork intestines, offering a delightful combination of crispiness and rich flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Another highlight from the menu was the Golden Sand Corn, an exquisite blend of sweet corn and the savory goodness of duck eggs. The harmonious fusion of the sweet and salty elements created a memorable taste sensation that left a lasting impression. In summary, FuLu stands out as the best dining experience during my four-day trip to Amsterdam. From the convenient location to the generous portions, delectable dishes, and outstanding service, this restaurant has all the elements that make it a standout choice for locals and tourists alike.

Best authentic Chinese food in Amsterdam. I recommend to come with friends to share many dishes together. Many vegetarian options as well such as tofu or eggplant dishes. The location is so convenient as it is just next to Dam Square and the city center. The service and atmosphere was also great, the waitress described all of the dishes when they came. #AmsterdamRestaurants #AmsterdamFood

Having stayed in Amsterdam for almost a year, I finally had the pleasure of dining at Fulu with friends. The environment is tidy, the staff is friendly, and the ordering process is smooth. The Chinese cuisine truly impressed me. The lamb with black pepper was a delightful surprise, with its slippery texture and elastic bite. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and the portion was satisfyingly generous. The grilled fish was a highlight, boasting tender and flavorful fish – a perfect comfort dish, especially during the winter months. Even for someone like me, who rarely indulges in fatty intestines, they were a revelation. Flavorful, and melting in the mouth, it left me craving for another plate. To complete the experience, the milk tea and lemon tea were excellent choices. Overall, Fulu earns a solid five stars for its inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and exceptional Chinese cuisine. I would say it’s the best Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam! It’s near dam square! Very convenient! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their delicious offerings.

We went to Fulu in the city center and enjoy the dishes during the Chinese New Year Eve. It was super convenient that we can check the menu with photos and also indicators of favors from the pad. Everything was impressive and I can see why this restaurant has had such a good fame. All staffs were pretty friendly. We had both spicy and non-spicy dishes, they were authentic and delicious. The beef and eggplant are highly recommended. I also saw that there are also choices for vegans and vegetarians, super nice !!!👍 👍
