I don't like leaving bad reviews but we had such a bad experience in this place that I had to, and I would even leave 0 stars if I could.. Drinks were a quarter full and when we asked about the price they told us a different amount than the one in the bill. We tried to politely complain about the drinks, but they were really rude and excused their service saying that "that's the way we make it here". We wanted to leave a review to the manager and they laughed at us. In the picture you can see their "way of making an Aperol spritz" for €9,5 which didn't even taste like Aperol.

Went here for a birthday dinner for a family member. We had excellent meat, that was definitely the highlight. Chateaubriand was very succulent, tender and great taste. Same with lamb and pork, good taste. Desserts were also good. Cheesecake and crème brûlée did not disappoint. Downsides were there was no chair for our 2 year old, and there was little flexibility around dessert: wife is pregnant and allergic to nuts and staff could have been more helpful to facilitate a nice dessert. Also, the pairing of aubergine wasn’t perfect with our selection of meats. Had a good evening, enjoyed our food and would go again

Staying for a few days in Amsterdam in Albertcuypstraat area. Stumbled upon this little gem and are we glad we did. Traditional French cooking techniques with a modern twist. Octopus….so tender and the oyster added a touch of flair to the dish. The garden salad was very refreshing, really nice balance of citrus and sweetness. The cote de boeuf was perfectly prepared…600G of ribeye, the chef managed to cook half the way I like it…medium rare, and the other half the way my fiancé likes it, medium well. Accompaniments were delicious as well. Dessert was very appealing…if we weren’t already stuffed! Wine selection was good…we selected a very reasonable wine that paired well with everything. Great find in a cool area!

Consistent, nice vibe, great food and very nice wines. Staff is friendly and the service is pretty decent for Amsterdam standards. Best starters I tried were the Octopus and pork buns. For mains, the chateaubriand is very good and if you’re hungry best to order an additional portion. It comes with a side of very good quality fries and Mayo, as well as a some sort of ratatouille dish that pairs quiet well. The desert is average. Overall, highly recommend for a nice dinner with friends, family or even a date.

Such a cute cozy place for dinner. Perfect ambiance and perfect everything. We got the côte de boeuf, it was all divine and the chimichurri was out of this world. Wine was really good and the staff were very nice.

One of our favorite places in Amsterdam. The food is simply amazing. Our favorite starters are the octopus and the beef tartar. Among the main dishes, I definitely recommend the cote de boeuf. The owners and the staff are extremely nice and the atmosphere is very cozy

Small quiet location away from busier restaurant areas might make you think that this is an average place, but the food was exceptional and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Highly recommend the chateaubriand and sea bass, and the octopus and salmon starters were also excellent. For vegetarians, the ravioli was also very good.

A lovely little place serving fantastic French food. We had the salmon appetizer to start, smoked on their beloved green egg with hollandaise, asparagus, and saffron ravioli with a glass of rosé. For dinner, we had the roasted lamb and sea bass. Both were flavorful, crispy and tender (respectively), with yummy sauces. However, the best part of our experience was the ambience and service. Our servers were attentive, gracious, and just plain fun! We ended the meal with a few rounds of drinks (delicious grappa as one of them) before heading out on the town!

What a great spot for meat lovers! It’s a nice place for a date night or for a nice intimate dinner with colleagues or friends. Ambiance and Service 7/10. Tip: Don’t sit by the bathroom 😅 We had the octopus starter and while the flavors were nice, it was too small to share. It only had one small tentacle that was sliced into small pieces. It was quite pricey for what you get. 4/10 The ribeye board was so good, juicy, flavourful and perfect to share between 2 people. I would go back just for this! 10/10 Overall, enjoyed the night and absolutely loved the meat! I Highly recommend it!

I have been coming to SenT a few times before and so I thought it would be nice to take my parents there when they are in town. At first everything seemed fine, drinks and food arrived quickly and the fries and steak were well done. However the service wasn’t great and the owner was a bit unfriendly and uneasy, despite my dad tipping he didn’t even say thanks or goodbye and just left the table.

The meat was very delicious and tender. The presentation of the food was very nice. You will have a high quality food and good selection of wine. I really like the decorations of the restaurant. Also you have option to sit inside or outside.I think this place is very good for romantic dinner.Despite of all these good points, I was not satisfied about the cat in the restaurant. Unfortunately there was a dog inside a restaurant and it was running everywhere. So, for me as a person who have a phobia is was a horrible experience. So I was eating my food in a fear. Indeed I expected to be a more welcoming environment but the staffs are not so friendly. Therefore I give these three stars only for the taste of food.

Delicious and juicy lamb steak with amazing wine is all I need. They served it! The staff are polit but a bit wired. They gave me a feeling that something is off with me 🤔, but overall good experience and super delicious food

Small, cozy, neighbourhood place with a lovely charm. The Chateaubriand is what they are famous for and is very good indeed, must try. Tables can be a bit too close to each other and people keep hearing your conversation but is part of the charm I suppose. If you want a good place, not fancy but still nice food and vibe this is your place to go.

Had the steak meal and with ravioli starter and I have to say it is probably the best meal I’ve ever had when eating out and the price for two of us was very fair. Better and cheaper than anything I can get in England, very good quality. Me and my girlfriend basically want to come back to Amsterdam just to go back to this restaurant.

We were very disappointed with our dishes. De ravioli tasted very weird, smoked and very dry. The fish we ordered was overcooked and very dried dishes that we received with the dish tasted very bad and felt like cold and not fresh. To be honest. I think this restaurant is way way way overrated.

I love how quite hidden SenT is in De Pijp! The food is well-served and tasteful. Their Crème Brûlée is the best! Please go find this little gem, you won’t regret!

Booked this based on reviews and was delighted that it lived up to expectations. Lovely cosy atmosphere, excellent food and wine along with friendly/professional service. Highly recommend booking.

Simply amazing. On the photo: Valens rib roast and Chateaubriand The photo contains a less than the real portion. It was hard to resist. The service can be improved. We ordered a cheese plate for dessert which we decided to give up on after 15mins waiting.

Food was good, but the glass of wine has to be served at the table and not coming directly the kitchen.

A nice French restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Limited menu. No proper highchair for infants. Be prepared to wait for your dinner to be cooked and served. French fries were extra crispy...if you like that.

Great dishes with amazing flavor. I had the octopus for a starter and lamb for entre. Both exceeded my expectations. The octopus was chewy as expected for slow cooked with a beautiful presentation. Lamb was slightly charred on the outside with soft pink inside on a sweet sauce of its own juices that don't disappoint.

A very unexpectedly amazing restaurant. The owner and the waitress are so friendly and nice! We were so impressed by the steak, both the flavor and the “amount”! (We two people couldn’t even finish it at all!). It all made the dinner wonderful!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
