A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.

I love your steaks, eating them is pure pleasure every time. this time I was here with three friends, each of us ordered a different degree of doneness of the steak, and this is the only drawback of this visit, the raw steak was very raw, and the well-done steak had a raw center. I don't mind it, but one of my friends complained, luckily the delicious sauce balanced it out. The professional service deserves praise.

Food and drinks up to par. Waitress was patience with our big group, efficient and helpful. Located conveniently next to Amsterdam Central with canal scene. Worth a try.

Mixed Experiences at Loetje Amsterdam: I recently had the opportunity to dine at Loetje in Amsterdam, and my experiences were quite mixed. Let’s start with the positives: The food was absolutely outstanding. I ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes were also delicious and complemented the main course beautifully. It is clear that a lot of attention is paid to the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the food. Unfortunately, the positive dining experience was somewhat marred by the service. The staff was not very friendly and seemed rather disinterested in the guests. There was a lack of attention and warmth that one would expect in a restaurant of this price range. This unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth and affected the overall impression. In summary, Loetje in Amsterdam is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for outstanding food. However, one should not have too high expectations when it comes to the service. I hope the restaurant can make improvements in this area to provide a fully satisfactory experience.

Fantastic place to grab something to eat. Prices aren't cheap but it's some of the better food I've had in Amsterdam. Although menu doesn't note what dishes contain gluten or lactose. I don't think there were any gluten-free options at all

Really good restaurant. The staff are really generous. The price can be expensive, but the meals are really tasty. There might be a lot of people during lunch time. The toilets are free for clients of the restaurant.

12/29/2022 Date night on our family trip allowed me to find the best steak I've had and not even close to being the most expensive, very reasonable. Everything tasted great, salad, veggies, tuna steak, steak Bali... Was so happy, my best meal on our trip so far. Our servers (2 of them) were both friendly and nice but there were a couple times they went missing so we didn't get second drinks. This was not enough to sway my review though. I would go back tonight if I could get a reservation for 7. I wish the rest of the family could give it a try.

Cute dutch chain restaurant with the view on the canal right in front of the main reason station. The food however is not that great. The warm meats are all floating in burnt oil or "gravy" as they call it... I believe though that this bad "gravy" quality is only in this location. On another occasion I had avocado toast with smoked salmon; too much bread, not enough seasoning & salmon. I would recommend coming here for a quick bite or coffee & pastry but don't waste your time & money coming here in the evening for a nice meal or any special occasion. The above is only for this location as I have had excellent meats with very good gravy in other locations of this chain.

The steak here was tender and flavorful and different from American steaks but was still really good. The cake was also great! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good but different steak. Staff and atmosphere of this place are also really great and the staff are very friendly! The location of this place is also very very well placed and so pretty to eat at!

This Loetje is in front of the main train station. Steps to go down to the entrance (or they have an elevator). We walked in on a Sat evening at 5pm with no reservation and luckily got a table in the back. Should have made a reservation and maybe we can sit closer to the windows (amazing views). Our server was very friendly and professional. We ordered 2 teas, one chamomile and one ginger (fresh slices of ginger with honey). She gave us ample time to look through the menu. We ordered 2 tenderloin with garlic. 2 side orders of mushrooms and one garden salad (it's big enough to share). The entree also came with white bread. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much and when they came with our entree, I kind of thinking why white bread. Well, the steak was perfectly done (med rare) could be more tender but really good with the garlic sauce. The bread (omg) was so good. The crust was crispy and the bread part was like cotton candy. And we used them to soak up all the garlic sauce. Very delicious and we added the mushroom to the sauce to give it a smoky touch. Everything blended perfectly together. We actually ate the salad last which was a nice cleansing feel. We didn't order dessert because we were so full...maybe next time.

The food was really good but a restaurant is a bit more than just the food. The service was terrible. Unengaged, rude and really seem to hate their jobs. Another thing thst brought down the score a lot is that the place doesn't have a toilet. You have to use a public toilet that also cost one euro to use.

Delicious! One of the best fries I've had in Amsterdam. Much more crispier than other "specialty" places. The staff is very kind. Making a reservation makes sense but the wait time is not that long anyways and the views are amazing.

The food was delicious, the beef was incredible,on the menu they said they bring bread with beefs but you should especially request them. Otherwise they wont bring bread. Toilet costs 1 euro as you can see on the picture, this is a little bit sad cause you spend so much money on the drinks and you have to pay for these drinks to be out of your system :(

Didn't make a reservation but they had a spot available at the bar. I didn't like the spot at all. It was too noisy at the bar because of all the glasses that they were placing. Also, the table next to me was very close to mine, which felt like I was with the people next to me. I'd like to have more space between the tables close to the bar. Besides I was paid very low attention to. Maybe because I was by myself and it was busy, but I don't think that should be a valid reason for it. However the food was great and well filled with everything. I ordered sweet patatoes and goat cheese salad. I won't go back any soon, maybe I will in the future again.

We were recommended to this restaurant by a local. We certainly were not disappointed. We ordered the bitterballen which was really tasty and really hot/ fresh. We also shared the burratta and bread. Our main meals which were salads were absolutely massive and the amount of meat was excellent. The next night we returned for some wine and burger and fries (massive portion of fries) and another salad. The server on the second night was so fast and efficient.

Good indoor space and expansive waterside deck if the weather permits. The menu is limited but the dishes are done very well. Particularly enjoyed the thick cut Tuna Steak! Team were friendly once they remembered we were there! 🤣 (happens sometimes)

I was refused to enter the restaurant &have dinner, as all I wanted at 6.30pm to have is tea+dessert, and after 4pm they allow guests only for dinner - so I'm not allowed inside if I want something less than dinner. At this point, @6.30pm the restaurant was barely half full with lots of free tables. I was told this is a "policy" The customer friendliness and customer service is terrible. With that attitude & policy, they just losing loyal customers.

Good and casual steak restaurant. What you see is what you get. Big size fries, reasonable price, normal taste. And very kind servers as well. But for my taste everything too salty. There are so many good steak restaurants in Amsterdam. So just not really memorable for me.

Food was great. The chicken salad is a huge portion and the beef steak was perfectly medium with sambal sauce. The view out the window will want you to sit for long time to enjoy passing trains and boat. Don’t miss this restaurant if you even in Amsterdam Centraal Station. Highly recommended.

I've visited Amsterdam with my boyfriend back in April and Loetje was the our first restaurant checkpoint when we arrived. The food was really really amazing and definitely worth the price. The staff as well has been super welcoming and nice. The seats by the window come with a great view. Overall I can wholeheartedly recommend Loetje if you ever visit Amsterdam. Next time we're there we'll make sure to check in again :)

We had the chicken livers, garlic steak and roast beef sandwich. All were delicious! The view is great and they have a good drink menu as well.

The food quality was good, but the amount food was really less than what you expected. The service was slow, we waited for 20-30 mins to get our food. The price I can say was a little bit expensive. But the view of the restaurant was nice, the taste was good and you could find interesting foods there.

Chef’s kiss 👨‍🍳 is what the whole experience can be described as. The best one would definitely be the beef steak. I tried the sambal one just to try something new and it did not disappoint. It was a slightly salty but you just have to control the amount of sauce you put. The servers were friendly and accommodating. Definitely something worth going back to.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly. The food was very good. Very good environment.

The steak was great. Beers were refreshing. Could have improved in the presentation of the dishes though. Just right in front of the Amsterdam Centraal station.

Majestic Bali steak in Loetje sauce, very rich in flavour. My favorite every time. But this time 4 stars because of: This time must say the sauce was a little bit too salty. Was sitted close to the bar and it was very lound and too much noise from smashing dishes to have a normal conversation.

The food was good, however the service was awful the guy who served us was rolling his eyes and had a terrible attitude. The lady did not know what she was doing only responding after several attempts of trying to call her over. We had to get her attention to help another table get served as they were trying to get her attention for a long time. Overall, there was only one person that we thought was actually nice.

Scenic, good ambience, large. But service too slow - a burger shouldn't take nearly an hour - and you have to be VERY careful about what's included with a particular dish and what isn't. The food itself was decent enough, but I don't think I'd be keen to go back. Sorry.

You must reserve online in advance to get a table but it’s worthy. Good food and especially good location in Amsterdam! Go for lunch in a sunny day and ask to stay outside

We had a pleasant lunch here. I had the smoked salmon salad while my husband had the bitterballen which he said were quite spicy. We did think the service was slow tho. Had to ask 3 times for some ice. Also after 30 minutes from ordering we enquired where our lunch was.

If you like steaks...or at least proper beef ..this is the place to come to.
