Such an amazing place! 100 % vegan food and a lovely, colourful, casual, and chilled out vibe. The food is exceptional and the menu includes an extensive list of options for tasty and nutritious cuisines from various places around the world. One not to miss! Thoroughly recommend 💚

I love to see and fully support plant based places, especially when they proudly display vegan/political items. The food has taste and is cooked well, but the ingredients are incredibly basic and the interior is very basic, too. It feels like a little hole in the wall cafe that should be making meals for no more than 10 euros. In short, it’s decent but very over priced and I say that as someone who dines out in central london. I appreciate that it’s central Amsterdam, but central london is more expensive and I can get more for the money in a vegan place. If costs are an issue then move further out and people will come to you, but I think the price should be fair.

Terrazen serves the most delicious vegan Caribbean and Japanese fusion food. We ordered the avocado milkshake, jack fruit karaage appetizer, Jamaican plate and the Tonkatsu donburi. The avocado milkshake was amazing a real recommendation. The jack fruit karaage was super juicy and tasty. And the main dishes were also delicious ! I can’t wait to go back!

What a great little place! Decided to come here after seeing their feature on Vice. Food was simple — neither of us are vegan and a lot of the fried components tasted very similar but it was all tasty, comforting and wholesome at the same time. Service was very friendly and would definitely come back to try their sushi.

This was our first spot to eat after arriving into Amsterdam and I don’t think anywhere else will be able to top how delicious our meals were here! We had the gyoza and Jamaican plates and you wouldn’t even been able to tell it was vegan! Staff were really nice, food was amazing and pretty speedy service. The only downside is that it’s very small and seating is limited but it’s absolutely worth the wait or to have as take out!

Incredibly delicious food loved by vegans and non vegans alike! The goyza plate and the Jamaican plate were excellent. Reasonable prices for the serving sizes and friendly service. The menu was unassuming at first but very glad we tried it out, highly recommend 😊

My favorite Vegan restaurant to visit in Amsterdam. Beautiful fusion of Japanese and Carribbean cuisine leaving you feeling comfortably full and blessed. Wonderful unforgettable tastes and appetising presentations. Very homely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to vegans and carnivores alike!

To describe the whole experience: meh I had the Chicken and Crips, looks very good The chicken was very rubbery and flavorless. Fries were served cold, which I find very impressive because how do you even do that? Upon asking the waiter he first had the audacity to tell me "how is that possible? we serve warm!". So they basically can't handle any criticism and don't believe their customers. Which after he said "that's how we serve it, if you don't like it that's you" I asked for a refund, only on a drink because I want to support local people, he said no you ordered it so you have to pay. After haggling a bit more, the waiter went to get an older woman (not old as in old, you looked beautiful!"), after a bit more of discussing I could get the €2.20 off! 🎉 I won't be coming here anymore and I also won't be recommending it to anyone. A lot of people seem to like you so it shouldn't have an effect on you anyway so who cares. TL;DR: Staff was nice at the start, food looked good but tasted meh. Staff turned out to be a little bit money grabbing and rude. Not coming back here. Have a good life

A lot of different type of foods, very well seasoned. The cheese stick doesn't even taste like a vegan cheese. Everything is vegan, pretty nice! Negative points: small place, takes a long time to the food be ready and it is really hot inside (for summer time).

WOW WOW WOW the internet doesn't lie! Just finished the vegan platter - super tasty and filling, a little spicy 😋 great homemade Japanese ice tea. I can't wait to comeback to try the Jamaican plate! Super nice staff. Very chill and cute!

Wow! Amazing! If I could give 6 starts, I would. The food is just amazing: so rich of taste. And the service is just amazing. Make sure you have a reservation as it’s super popular. Love the colourful decoration. Hope to come back soon.

Great good, all vegan. The food is vegan and uses meat alternatives to get you sausage, chicken and sausage so it's a good place to take your friends who are allergic to eating too many vegetables. Lots of fried food and we got out of the place smelling like French fries so I'd recommend terrace whenever the weather allows.

Small restaurant/ cafe which can accommodate around <40 people. Concept of food is really interesting, you get Japanese and Jamaican food (all vegan of course) and sometimes a fusion of the two. They even have avocado smoothie! The food was delicious, service excellent and very easy relaxed atmosphere. If you need spicy food, just request for it and they'll spice it up for you or give you a delicious chilli chutney/ sauce. 10/10 would highly recommend.

The dishes took a while to be made but totally worth it! As a half japanese, I can say that the seasoning is really authentic!! I had the vegan karaage bowl and it was perfect! Super crunchy and the sauce was divine, definitely recommend this place!!!

What a great place to get your nourishment! Very welcoming and with a truly unique menu. The best blend on Ital Japanese cuisines. 100% vegan. 100% delicious! We ate to the sweet sounds of Ansel Collins' Nuclear Weapon and the legendary Toots Hibbert. Very recommended! Irie!

Lovely little vegan corner! I've tried one of the dishes with the vegan chicken here and it was really tasty, but maybe a little bit too much! The portion were okay, and not too expensive for the Amsterdam standard I've tried the apple pie too, and it was delicious!! The banana ice cream is super nice too! There are so many choices in the menu, for all the taste! I think I'll be back trying something else :)

Pros: - great food (quite greasy, though, but in a good way if you ask me) - large portions Cons: - unkind staff (we spoke with two people and they hardly looked at us, never bothered to smile and made us feel unwelcome even though the place was almost empty when we arrived) - the place is dark and tiny and doesn't look very clean - no toilets - our clothes were soaked with the smell of food so much so we couldn't get rid of it after spending 8+ hours walking through the city (because the place is poorly ventilated) To recap, we're not coming back and I wouldn't recommend it to other people just because you can get good vegan food elsewhere and apart from the food, our experience was not enjoyable.

Food was okay, seems to be mostly frozen deep fried stuff. Sushi was good, but tasted too much of cilantro and the brown rice in it was meh. The Vegan Lust dish is bad value compared to the Vegan platter. €2.50 for a 250ml of water, and leaving stinking like deep fry fumes due to terrible extraction fans. Bathroom dirty, staff a bit rude. Interesting premise but would not recommend.

I was looking for a vegan restaurant in Amsterdam and found this small cosy place last Saturday . It was hot lunch time and the restaurant was almost empty . Me and my wife found a table outside . A young man came to us and gave us the menu . We enjoyed every single food and drink . I met the chef and he is a nice and professional gentleman. I strongly recommend everyone to taste the food here and you will go back again as we did for dinner on the same day :) . I wish they can expand and have even larger place .

Is it possible to give this restaurant more than five stars? It was absolutely delicious! We opted to have “Jamaican Plate” and “Chicken Burger” and honestly it all felt so healthy and nutritious. I could eat here everyday. It felt so homemade and as though so much care and effort was taken in preparing the food. We left here with happy tummies and happy hearts. Please come to London and open this restaurant, a must try place to visit in Amsterdam! 😍

Vegan restaurant close to the main train station. Very busy on arrival with a line out the door. Food was excellent and worth the wait. We had the sweet potato fries, vegan plate, karage donburi and a coconut milkshake & a chocolate milkshake. The only desert left was the apple pie. We loved it. Staff were friendly and clearly very busy. Would have been nice to be offered some water whilst we waited for food. Highly recommend the chocolate milkshake it was absolutely SO good! Would come again. Wasn’t overly cheap but the portions were good and we didn’t leave hungry

Very nice vegan dishes but you need to be patient. The dishes we had included healthy brown rice and much vegetable. We were surprised by the vegan chicken which was so delicious and would like to order it again next time. However, we waited a long time for the food.

The place is not easy to find but make an effort to find it cause the food was delicious! I had a veg taco, it came as a flat taco bread with lots of chickpeas on top flavored by a special mix of spices, one of the best dishes ever eaten! It was slightly salty but totally bearable. I accompanied it with a nice glass of Japanese tea. The owners are both super friendly and nice. Expect to wait a bit for being served (but this I noticed it is quite common in every restaurant in The Netherlands). The place is not fancy but cozy, so it is perfect if you don’t mind simple decor.

Went to this place in January this year as the sound of Jamaican/Asian fusion food sounded amazing. Initial experience was really pleasant. The waiter was very accommodating and made me feel at home. I ordered some vegan sides and the chicken wrap was okay. I then ordered the strawberry cheesecake which then escalated downhill very quickly. I took a bite of the cake and realised it had nuts in it. I have a slight allergy to nuts so i stopped eating. I told the waiter and was immediately told i would still need to pay for it without him even asking me if i was okay. I then had another male waiter (young asian) explain to me that because it’s already been dished out I have to pay. I then said that because it does not specify on the menu that is contains nuts, this could very harmful for potential customers. How was I supposed to know the deserts included nuts???? He said well you haven’t fainted yet or got any symptoms, which was just out of order. He then proceeded to laugh and make me even more uncomfortable especially as i was by myself. I said he had no right to question me and he could of at least provided more options of what could be done to rectify it - as that’s what you call good customer service, but this young waiter has no idea how to provide good service and felt the need to be extremely rude instead. I was looking forward to supporting a local business but definitely won’t be seeing me again.

Food was very good. We had the vegan lust and ramen noodles. We enjoyed both. No alcoholic beverages are served there. The service was kind of odd. Not exactly unfriendly, but a lit bit unprofessional. The restaurant/atmosphere/decorations are definitely not the high class kind. It was also a bit pricey. But overall we had a good time and would go there again!

The place has changed. More tables, a new look. A new menu. But it's now 3:15 PM, we arrived at 1:37 PM. My friends started eating just 10 minutes ago because their dishes were being cold. Dishes that came 20 minutes ago. Half of our order is still being cooked, my plate included. I'm so disappointed 😥 It uses to b my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam.. We have to leave the town. No museum today, it's already the end our day.. Update so you know: I finally get a plate that was supposed to be mine, the waitress told me twice "yes, it's what you ordered", I ate it (it. didn't seem to be a vegan chicken plate but ok) and surprise 10 minutes after (when we had to go because France is not so near), It was actually our neighbor dishes and they tried to charge me for it (it was more expensive)... What a disappointment :(

It was our second experience at a plant based restaurant. We found this one as a search result on Google and as soon as I found out it was a Japanese and Caribbean fusion restaurant, I simply booked a table. We arrived at peak time. The place is oddly decorated, not to my taste, small and a little cramped. It looks a little shabby, but that after you try their food, it doesn't matter. The host was swamped and a little overwhelmed, the place was packed with only 1 table (our booked table) available. We sat down and had to wait a good 15 minutes by the time there was time to tend us. Me being impatient, I was close to loose it. But luckily we received a warm and sincere apology from our young host and that was enough for me to chill. I was not familiar with any of the dishes, so between the help of Google (where would I be without it?) and the menu, I follow my guts (literally, I was famished) and ordered a crispy tempé donburi something... Can't remember the full name, in fact when they brought it out, it took me a while to realise that it was my dinner. It was a delightful dish of crispy tempeh (the tempeh was coated in breadcrumb), served on top of some tasty Japanese brown rice, salad and a selection of raw crispy vegetables. Seasoned with what I believe to be vegan mayonaise, sriracha sauce and something else. It was absolutely fantastic. Light, fluffy, crispy, savoury, spicy, creamy. I could have eaten more, had my tummy allowed it. The prices are reasonable and be prepared to go sober. No booze is served there! Definitely a keeper!

The food was a-ma-zing!!! I had the opportunity to taste 4 different main dishes and they all were delicious. I had the tacos and it was a decent portion. For a small person maybe even a bit much, but you will finish it all. The chocolate cake was a perfect dessert and had a light smooth chocolate cream. The bathroom is overdue for a renovation, also kinda dirty, but I'm still rating this place 5 stars because the service is great, the people are super nice and they have the best fries you'll ever taste. Definitely a must go place for vegans!

I was there about a year ago, it was amazing. Unfortunately it went really downhill from there. The service was awful, nearly lacking. We ordered a coconut smoothie and it came like 20 minutes later. Our food took at least an hour, my boyfriend wanted to go outside and light up, I said might as well, we’ll still be here and no food probably an hour later. Finally food came, we ordered more smoothies. 30 minutes later we heard the blender go off. Maybe they were high and forgot they had to work. As for the food, last time we were here and got the same sushi it was amazing. They weird with the sauces that came with the food. last time came with two delicious sauces but this time they were confused (probably high) and didn’t wanna give it to us, the ones they did they charged for it. Smoothies finally came, one the same as before we ordered was completely different (we ordered coconut, first time was white second time was purple and fruity.) we asked the guy why it’s different he said they made a mistake and forgot to add the fruit. Instead of acknowledging their mistake he acted like it was totally normal to give you a completely different drink then you ordered. Weird place. I don’t think I’ll be back,

5 stars for the creative and variety of vegan food but minus 2 stars for the poor cooking fumes extraction. Pity! I hope they could improve the system to live up to ‘clean eating’! Of course, one can choose to sit outside the restaurant (3-4 tables) to escape the fumes.

I am so excited to be back in Amsterdam because it means I can eat at TerraZen all the time! I went here for the first time 7 years ago and I remember every moment of that evening! The food was great, the people were so friendly and hospitable. I had some vegan sushi and I remember it tasted so fresh and vibrant. Love love love this place.

Absolutely some of the BEST vegan food I've tasted. This place is a gem. We arrived early evening and by the time we were finished there was a queue outside. I am not surprised, the food was literally out of this world. If you are vegan or not, try this place out. The food will knock your socks off. Would head back to Amsterdam to eat there again. WOW, just WOW.

Despite there being a 500ml bottle on display, buying a water only gets you a 250ml bottle - which costs €2.50, so you’re paying one cent per milliliter of water. For some context, at this price a 2L bottle of water would cost €20. To fill an average kitchen sink (~20L) at this price you’d be paying a whopping €200. God forbid you’d ever have to fill an average bathtub (~100L) using water purchased from this establishment, because that would cost you €1,000. Vegan dragon roll was quite nice though.

Long wait to be seated. Long wait to order. Long wait for food to arrive. Jamaican curry sauce was lovely but everything else was average. Small dining area with limited seating. A lot of smoke coming from the kitchen & as we were seated at the front our eyes did sting quite a bit.

So good we went twice in one weekend! The small charismatic yet relaxed place blends a fusion of tasty Japanese and Carribbean food. Worth every penny with large portion sizes, from sushi to rotis, plaintain fries and more!

Unique experience; it's not your usual restaurant, it feels more like a lunch room. The food was delicious and the vibes were very chill and happy. We recommend going! We're definitely coming again!

This place was recommended to us and I see why! An small vegan fusion restaurant serving a mixture of Japanese and Caribbean food. I had the Jamaican plate which was delicious. I would also highly recommend the coconut milkshake.

One of the most amazing food I’ve ever eaten I definitely recommend this place 100% if you go to Amsterdam. It’s worth every euro and every step there. Love it

One of our favorite vegan restaurants in Amsterdam. The jamaikan curry was very delicious! We will definitely come back again :)

I am not a veg nor vegan myself, even I find the food here very tasty & some dishes taste just like the actual Japanese food. Will definitely come back 💕

I am not vegan, neither was my friend (Muslim). But this was hands down the best meal we had whilst we were in Amsterdam. I had the Jamaican plate and the only issues I have with it is that I wanted more of it and maybe...more spice? (I eat a lot and I like a spicy curry.) The restaurant is very small and busy so I would recommend having dinner a little early or only going in small groups. You will be sharing tables with people but that was no problem for us. The atmosphere was mostly chill and the staff were friendly enough. It's definitely on the expensive side but the food quality is definitely there.

Tiny but great restaurants with outdoor seating. The atmosphere is relaxing as it's close to the city centre but in-between a few small halls that make it feel cozy. Although the cashier took a few minutes to take our order, the staff was friendly and served us fairly quickly. The food was refreshing and amazing. We had no-chicken and tempeh, and they were both good choices.

Great location and delicious food. The dishes were tasty and the staff was friendly. I wasn’t a big fan of the chocolate cake but everyone else loved it ☺️

Would highly recommend this place for great tasting food! Got the Jamaican curry with a side of roti - incredible flavour, lightly fried plantain, 5 stars! Milkshake was a good flavour, quite thick and yoghurt-y but it was good if you are in the mood. Great smells as soon as you walk into this restaurant, was a good vibe! Roughly €18 for the curry, €6.50-7 for the milkshake. Portions were well sized and filling. Other main dishes priced €12-15Well worth the price!
