My
wife
and
I
stayed
here
for
a
mid-week
break
and
it
was
a
great
choice
of
hotel
for
us!
We'd
definitely
try
to
stay
here
again
if
we
return
to
Amsterdam.
The
location
is
peaceful
and
safe,
but
very
well
connected
to
the
city
centre
by
tram,
with
a
lot
of
great
places
to
eat
nearby
-
not
least
the
lively
adjacent
Foodhallen
(food
court).
Also
great
options
for
breakfast/coffee,
supermarkets,
restaurants,
bars,
and
a
daily
street
market.
The
hotel
restaurant
itself
(Remise47)
also
did
very
nice
food
for
us.
We
found
all
staff
to
be
friendly
and
helpful
at
all
times;
the
decor
was
nice
(modern
but
comfortable)
and
the
communal
area
was
always
quiet
-
like
having
a
separate
living
room
outside
your
room.
The
former
tram
tracks
have
been
retained
in
the
floor
in
places
-
it's
a
fun
bit
of
history
to
the
building.
The
room
itself
was
very
well
appointed,
with
a
comfy
bed
and
excellent
bathroom
(with
a
real
bath,
and
a
roomy
shower).
It
was
clear
to
us
when
we
booked
that
there
was
no
external
window
in
the
room
-
this
didn't
bother
us
at
all.
(We
didn't
come
to
Amsterdam
to
hide
in
our
room
all
the
time!)
The
bathroom
was
separated
by
doors
made
of
darkly
frosted
glass
-
we
found
this
to
be
more
than
enough
privacy.
The
only
criticism
of
the
room
was
that
it
got
unpleasantly
warm
unless
we
ran
the
AC
constantly
-
including
through
the
night.
This
was
in
November
-
not
a
hot
summer!
The
AC
noise
meant
my
wife
needed
earplugs
to
sleep,
but
I
was
fine
with
it.
