This place is fantastic! The location is perfectly located near everything, the rooms are great (no issues), but the best part was the staff. They bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. We will definitely stay here again.

Blown away by this hotel. The interior is gorgeous, the room was a well. The bathroom/tub were huge and luxurious. The staff was next level good. My only regret was i wasn't there longer

Really nice hotel. The location is fantastic, easy to walk to many attractions and restaurants, as well as the central station. Quiet street and beautiful neighbourhood. The room is small, but functional. We had a canal view room with a small sitting area to enjoy. The bathroom seems recently renovated, and it is also small, but mostly well designed. The only negative is my spouse and I seemed too tall - there is not enough leg space for the toilet, and also the robes provided seemed tiny. Otherwise an excellent stay.

My husband and I loved our stay here! The decor is beautiful specially in the hallways. Make sure to request a room facing the canal. The Nespresso in the room was a nice touch. Highly recommend this place and staff were really friendly.

Our stay was brief but the whole experience was satisfying. We arrived in Amsterdam earlier in the morning. The check-in was at 3pm so the room wasn't ready but we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and explore the city. The hotel is about 15 minutes walking from the central station and 10 to 16 minutes from all the tourist attractions. The neighborhood Jordaan (a quaint and quiet area of Amsterdam) is only 5 minutes walking from the hotel. In general Hotel Sebastian's is in a quieter part of Amsterdam which is nice after spending a day surrounded by thousands of people. The lobby is small and on the right they have a bar and restaurant. Breakfast isn't included and if you want breakfast there you'll have to fill out a form the day before. The whole decor is mostly orange, golden, and dark wood and it gives a warm vibe. The room was spacious and stocked with extra pillows, many towels, robes (!!!), Nespresso machine, and teas. The bathroom floor is heated and there are warm towel radiators! In our room's bathroom there was a shower and a bathtub and a double sink. The shampoo/body wash and lotion were Rituals, not some cheap products. The bathroom also had shower caps and a vanity kit. The bed was comfortable. Our room had a lot of plugs but only 1 USB port. The best part though...it was extremely clean! Not one hair or dust particles. They have daily cleaning but you can decide to skip the cleaning by using the tablet you'll find in your room or by using the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle. The guys at the reception are young, friendly, and super helpful. It seems like this is a very requested hotel because it is practically always full. It wasn't cheap but it might also have been because we came here over the Christmas holidays. It was worth it anyways. If we'll ever come back to Amsterdam we'll definitely come back here. Definitely recommended.

For 10 years I always stay at Sebastian's when I am in Amsterdam. It is even better now. Staff is helpful and make my family feel special. Get Canal view room. Close to everything

Wonderful stay at hotel Sebastian in Amsterdam. If you are looking for a hotel on a top location, with clean and very comfortable rooms, a great breakfast and at last but certainly not least the helpful staff then look no further and book your stay at Sebastian. We live in the US and are impressed by this hotel in Amsterdam. A special thanks to Melanie for providing and arranging the best places to dine. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect and the rooms are very comfortable. We had a canal view and it was worth the extra charge to watch the boats going by. Staff here is very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we loved having the nespresso machine the room was wonderful. I’d definitely stay here again.

Excellent location - we did not rent a car and were able to walk from the train station and to so many great sights. The hotel has a very funky, eclectic design. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the canal (worth it!). My husband requested flowers to the room and they went our of their way to find a beautiful bouquet with many flowers I have not seen in Canada. You are able to order a hot breakfast at the bar if you choose. The icing on the cake was the EXCELLENT staff. They are so friendly and accommodating - they will bend over backward to help you with anything you ask them. We would 100% stay there again!

The hotel is in a fantastic location – walkability to various points of interest was easy and it’s removed from the main tourist areas, so it’s quiet and quaint. There is a massive number of local restaurants, coffee houses, shops, etc. within a stone’s throw, so you can always find a fun place to pop in. I, personally, loved walking down the block to the local coffee shop every morning to get my latte! We were two friends traveling and we opted to book a larger room with a queen bed + twin bed so that we would have more space and be more comfortable – it’s Europe, so the rooms are small! If you want a few more feet of square footage, I recommend doing what we did to be comfortable, especially if you are there for a few days. The room and the bathrooms were both spotless – the only negative I would give is that the hair blowdryer was horrible. I would definitely go back – overall magnificent experience.

Spent a weekend here with our two kids. "Cool, comfortable, friendly, quiet" is about as too-the-point as I can be. Trendy without the clubby try-hard vibe. "Plush" is a good description of the decor and linens, yet the room was a very comfortable place for two kids to decompress after full days of sightseeing. Despite its central location and our weekend stay, nights were quiet and restful. That location meant we were out the door and directly back into the scene! Front desk team was always smiling and helpful when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice and clean hotel with a fantastic view of one of the many canals. The only bad point was the pre ordered €15 breakfast, they brought out sausage first then 10min later the eggs and then small bits of crunchy bacon and finally luke warm beans, so all food was cold or luke warm. The bar closes at 11pm probably stop serving 10:45. Overall the Sebastian was a pleasure to stop at, just don't have breakfast 🙃

Great location in Jordan, quiet room and location after dark in a chic neighborhood. Room relatively big for European standards. We stayed in the semi basement room and the bathroom would smell faintly of sewage. It was quite annoying and we thought we were going mad! Nice rituals toiletries, ended up going to the rituals store to pick some up for the road :)

Looks a little old / slightly less modern than a super modern Hilton, but honestly, this hotel was SPOT ON. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower plenty big enough (my American husband was worried it would all be too small - he said it was totally fine!) There’s an elevator - useful but not always expected in the small buildings that are narrow but tall. Totally happy, would stay again and recommend to others!

The physical hotel is great, but the staff, except for one pregnant Vietnamese woman who was wonderful , has lost its old attentive welcoming attitude. Other staff were at best indifferent and unhelpful. Some missing issues since the last time we stayed here: no umbrellas, no help with bags, desk not open till 7 AM, which is not great for travelers with early flights. Just leaving a phone number to call before 7 doesn’t cut it.

My stay at Hotel Sebastians was perfect from the time I arrived and throughout my stay in Amsterdam. I must add that the staff is absolutely amazing. They truly made my birthday celebration trip so enjoyable and memorable. The accommodations were stellar! The rooms are decorated in a glam boutique aesthetic while still feeling cozy & unique. The breakfast is made to order, and even that was perfect! The location of the hotel works perfectly for travelers looking to explore, sightsee, shop, and check out locally owned restaurants. The neighborhood in which the hotel is located is also very quiet! Above all the staff at the hotel went out of their way to make my friends and I feel comfortable and that's what made my stay one of a kind! Best birthday I've had in a long time!

We loved our stay at Sebastians! The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room and hotel was spotless and the location is about perfect. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and answered all our questions. In addition, my wife twisted her ankle and the staff immediately found me a pharmacy to get a foot wrap before it closed. So helpful! We had breakfast at the hotel one day because our Anne Frank house tour was before the breakfast places opened. It was good but I suggest getting out and exploring some of the local breakfast places. And after a day of being out in the rain and cold we loved going back to the hotel and sitting in the bar by the window enjoying a very reasonably priced drink…or two. And again the location is so close to all the activity but on such a quiet street. We love Sebastians and will tell everyone we know about it. (The photos are an exterior shot of the hotel from across the street. The view from our room and the view from the bar in the lobby)

Lovely hotel that offers what it promises. Well located, great service and delicious fresh cooked breakfast (right in front of you). Good people working there who are always happy to see you and advise you correctly. We are going back. Recommended!

The staff was SO nice and accommodating! When we arrived, they upgraded us to a canal room view at no charge. Every question we had, they were so warm, friendly, and helpful. The room itself was small, but the hotel was beautiful and in a prime location! Definitely recommend a stay here.

We were moving from one apartment to another and our bed wasn't delivered yet so we spent the night. It was a pleasant stay. Friendly/helpful staff, beautiful large clean rooms. I would definitely recommend Sebastian's.

This is such a lovely hotel. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. Ask for anything and they will try to help you any way they can. Service is also fast. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Europe. The hotel is also quiet and cozy with lots of cool ambience

A quaint hotel on a canal. It was pleasant to look out the window while in the room. Bed was comfortable, shower was great; I'm a tall person so often have difficulty with European showers; no issues here. The room was clean and the staff were very pleasant to work with. Location was okay, in a relatively safe area and close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Would stay here again.

Sebastien’s staff is wonderful and the location is perfect if coming in from the central train station. It is remarkably quiet and dark and night, perfect for jet lagged travels. True Amsterdam is at your doorstep. I will definitely visit again!

Me and my friends stayed at the Sebastian’s for our trip to Amsterdam from the US. The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The room exceeded our expectations, it was very clean and modern. Hotel was perfect location and walking distance to many popular areas of the city and restaurants! Highly recommend for your next trip to Amsterdam!

Filthy, tiny room.I can not understand how this hotel has a 4.3 rating. They expect you to use the comforter without a top sheet so your body is in contact with the prior customers body. Asked for a top sheet and got attitude from the man at the front desk.Dust and cup stains on all the glass tops

I loved my stay here. As soon as I met the front desk staff I knew I had chosen the right place. I loved my room view, the room was very comfortable and the location was perfect. I was able to avoid the surprising increase of tourists in this neighborhood over 1 year ago and there was virtually no noise. Above all though was the stellar staff. I felt so welcomed and happy and comfortable. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Garvey!! the whole staff is ACES!

Wonderful experience, outstanding customer service, and customer care at the front desk. Receptionists deliver an exceptional service with a smile and give tips to passengers. I can confirm they deliver a five-star service. The double room was very nice, with a view of the courtyard. With private toilet and shower. This hotel is located in a cosy area near the city centre and main station Amsterdam Centraal, full of nice bars, restaurants, and design shops.
