Ok place, nothing special.

Very nice hostel .

The building flies apart. In the event of a fire, the stairs are definitely a bit dangerous. The shower is in the toilet and floods it when you use it. The staff is friendly and the crowd is uncomfortable but enough.

Super cheap hostel. Not the greatest but you get what you pay for.

In the room we had a medium temperature of 30°C over the three days. One toilet, two showers and one sink (one of the sinks didn't have water) for the 12 people in the room and they all stank of bleach. Expensive shop, expensive bike rental and the only lockers you had are the ones for rental at the reception. The staff were polite but they didn't inspire any trustfulness. Cleanliness just enough to be accepted.

Comfortable beds for the price but the bathroom stank of bleach and the place is minimalist to say the least. However it was clean everyone was freindily and it's in a good location a short walk from central Amsterdam.

Terrible dirty place staff were very rude and pushed into our private room with no warning not a great location for night life as a lot of walking was involved. Much cheaper hostels for what we payed.

Not really "central" as the name suggest. Around 20min walking fast from the principal attractions of Amsterdam. Is really a minimal hostel to stay overnight but not really cheap as they pretend to be. Lot of extras need to add. To be an hostel is enough clean. Obviosuly i wont never come back were you suppose to pay an hostel rate but at list you payed as a 3star hotel.

Perfect location. Great staff. Clean and very friendly atmosphere. The hostel is surrounded by lots of restaurants that are very affordable and at least half the price than things just 500 metres up the road. Great and perfect place to stay

Don't get fooled by bad reviews.... The place is clean, stuff is polite, you got a nice lobby downstairs with a cool kitchen. If you paid hostel more than 20eur, it's your right to be mad, but please be mad at yourself. My room had 8 beds and a WC and separate shower. I've stayed 10 days and i really loved it, even though the owner threw me out because i was too intense for him, comedian #heyMickey, you know... facebook/GreenAndWright

Dirty, loud, and cramped. I've been to many hostels, and this is the only one in which I've not felt comfortable. Not a bad place if you can sleep anywhere and don't mind broken toilets, windows that won't close, and the second most disgusting shower I've even seen. The location is very bad.

I had booked a private room for 4 people just to learn when arriving at the hostel that the reservation was cancelled. The same happened to a friend of mine who had booked a room for 6 people. They gave us a BS excuse that they had sent an email cancelling the booking two days after the reservation was made, which is not true, we showed them our email boxes and there was no email from them at all regarding cancellation. The responsible was super aggressive and did nothing regarding this lack of respect. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSTEL!!

The staff was incredible helpful and very kind. The price was suitable for what was provided. My only issue was the smell within the showers and toilets. However I would stay again.

Me and my friends had a terribly bad experience in this hostel. It was really expensive and the service quality extremely poor. Not only in the installations but also the staff. Particularly the person in charge of receiving guests. We paid a lot of money for two nights four mini bed in a 12 bedroom, where the door of the mini toilet was broken. After one night there we decided to move to a proper hotel for the same price and asked very nicely to this reception guy if we can get our refund for the night we sleep there with a non working toilet between other non working stuff. He not only did not give us any refund, but also treated us extremely rude and with racist comments telling us to go if we don't want to get problems. I will never recommend this place to anyone, its a pity that we hat this bad experience because the rest of the people in Amsterdam were absolutely lovely and tourist friendly. A shame for Hostel Central.
