Busy place, but nice seating close to the graacht!

I had one of my best moments here,

Dropped by here for a drink whilst waiting for a plane. Be mindful this place is cash only. Beer was fresh and nice. View is looking at the river, lovely. There is seating inside and outside. You can even sit by the river and enjoy a drink whilst watching the world pass by. I ordered an Amstel beer.perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

I got a Amstel beer for 7€, price is just crazy in Amsterdam. The design inside the bar is cool. They got a pool table but I didn’t play it.

Looked after perfectly as we sat out on Saturday 2/12/23. Warm blankets. Hot chocolate and a fantastic host. Loved it. 😍

One of my favourite bars in Amsterdam! With a beautiful canal view and a cozy interior. The service here is also homey and quick - big shout out to Cem! If you are around the red light district and looking for a home around the area. Cafe emmelot is the place!

Great vibe great bar classic and great people! Very cool place and people. The kind of bar I drawn into because it is warm and inviting. Come on and get a drink or two!

The worst place with the worst service. The waitresses were the rudest I have ever seen. I wanted to order tea, which they didn't have, and one of my friends didn't want anything, but she was told that if she wants to sit inside, she has to order. So the waitress returned with the order and just said the price we should pay. My friend asked if we can pay separately, and she said "No." So we asked why, and she said "Because." So again, we asked why, and she said because... she doesn't have enough change. My friend paid it and asked for the receipt, and we recieved a paper with the sum and the date. Hand-written. Since there are no prices in the menu, we still have no idea how much those things cost. They can literally charge people whatever they want. Avoid this place.

A little expensive but the view is amazing. Employees polite. I recommend this cafe.

The waiter was very rude to us and to other guests sitting next to us. They don't accept cards. Good location but I would not recommend it.

Good beer and nice to see a place with a cozy interior near the center. They have pool as well which is solid, and the beer was cold. Their music was fine. They are cash only I believe, so please bear that in mind. Nice riverside location!

Good place for pint or drink with friends. Always busy and thi is whst we love it. In addition, you can play with billiards for only 1 euros per game. Will come back

Good place to have a few beers and be treated very well, when we return to Amsterdam we will definitely come.

Really nice people. Cheerful and down to earth. Beer prices on par with every other bar in the district. Certainly one of the better places for outdoor seating to people watch for an hour. Staff helped a young girl who just arrived in Amsterdam and suddenly collapsed after eating cake in a near by 'coffee shop'... She won't be doing that again. Hats off to the waiter for looking after her till she came around. Best one liner I've heard in ages.

Third time going back to Amsterdam in a year and we found this gem of a wee pub on the first visit. This has become our local before going back to hotel at night. Its location is situated brilliantly in the red light district right on a bridge corner and you can sit and people watch for hours over a great pint of Guinness or whatever you fancy. Also there is a local heron bird from the canal that comes at night looking for food which is a sight to behold. They have a great waiter service which is very efficient and the waiter was very friendly and informative about the culture of the Netherlands and general chat. Definitely be back at sometime. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a drink while visiting Amsterdam and came back three times. The bartenders are amazing, so friendly and gave us awesome dinner recommendations. We loved the drinks, service, music and atmosphere! We’ll come back the next time we’re in Amsterdam!

The waiter(bald and tatted up guy) was super rude and creepy towards my sister. Commenting on her appearance and generally being belittling. The price of our drinks was 9 euros and he pocketed an extra euro for himself. That guy is a creep. Don’t support this spot

We were refused for a drink. Company is actively working with QR codes and thus medical discrimination. There is even a big sign outside to get your QR and ID ready. They better rename to 1984 or Orwell cafe.

Nice atmosphere near the canal and in red light district. Seems like a better option compared to the other cafes around.

Would be nice if the waiter mentions that you can only pay in cash before ordering... Beer was definitely heavily watered up. There are much nicer places in the city

Racist ! We watt 30 min we ask if we can order, he said “in à minute” And he left and he was just standing here doing nothing! Just racist !

cant say enough about this place always have time to vist when im in the dam. really cosy & chilled. staff were abit abrupt but were ok. prices are in line with most bars in he area, but only take cas not card.

Good location by the canal a couple streets up from the red light district. Nice seats outside, so plenty of space. Very tasty and sizeable cocktails, but a bit expensive. However, it needs far more vegan options.

Great atmosphere. Super cool place to reset after a long flight and grab a beer. The staff are really friendly and welcoming !

Not a very welcoming place and only take cash. Drinks taken away before finished and pushed to order the next one immediately. A place run by real world Thernardiers, dont waste your time and money here.

Very tourist place. Staff nice. Toilets horrible. A place to sit outside and watch the people walk up and down the canals. You can order food from other establishments to get delivered here. This is a place to people watch but more so during the day. I presume it becomes very different at night

Great cañitas and Drinks! They allow you to use the pool table! THEY DONT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD, they deserve 3 stars out of 5.

This was the first place we sat at in Amsterdam and we kept coming every day for the rest of our trip! The atmosphere is incredible and the service was amazing. We made friends with the staff and they helped us retrieve a phone that fell into the canal! We will absolutely be coming back! ♥️
