Fantastic experience at this modern seafood restaurant in one of the best Amsterdam's districts. First-class salmon fillet and excellent sea mixed grill. Very good starters and desserts. We had a great time at this cozy place, hosted by Sandro, an amazing guy who took care of us with kindness and vivacity. I heartily recommend this restaurant.

Oysters were very good. The lobster soup had great flavor, but quite salty for my taste. Delicious kibbeling. The seafood in the mixed grill plate was all very fresh. We were able to get a table for four when walking in because someone didn't show up for their reservation. The place was packed, so reservation recommended.

Ah, at last land ahead, As I enter the seafood fair. The place where sea speaks, In all its delicate tweaks. I love the atmosphere I could feel the sea. And only in the best way, The ocean on sunny day. The menu features only delight, From mussels to lobster might. Freshly from the local market, Fear not of the decadent turbot. I must admit, this restaurant seemed like a dream. The atmosphere is perfect, and the menu is delightful, but I was shocked by the negligence towards my dish. I ordered fish of the day, sea brass. It seemed great, perfectly paired. the first bites were delicious. But then it became raw inside. I do not mind raw fish when it is the right dish. I told the staff, and they took it away for another moment in grill, promising to fillet that. However, they brought me back some 8 minutes later, the same fish, which I had a little dismantled already to understand how raw it was. So the presentation was quite, well.. not nice. I already had the expectation of the lovely fillet. I wished they had not promised that. Otherwise, the fish was super fresh, tasty, and perfectly paired. Yet undercooked and the management of this situation left me confused..

Dinner tonight was delicious and the service was friendly and top-notch. I enjoyed the grilled octopus and the plateau salad. Regardless of my 5-star review, I advise ordering in stages because they have a tendency to bring everything at once: hot and cold food together. Also, I felt that the crab salad in the plateau was junky and tasted mostly of mayonnaise—such a shame.

Great place for seafood. Definitely reserve a table if you have a larger group especially on the weekends. Our server Nikola was great, friendly and took care of us. We spent over €110, which is expected on that type of restaurant. We got the calamari, fish and chips, mixed grill for 2, sweet potatoes, 2 soda and a water. I recommend going if you're craving for seafood.

We went here on a regular base to eat in. Good and fresh plates. Also good quality take away for dining at home fish and seafood plates 🦞

I really recommend to book a table on their official website. Lobster soup was tasty. BBQ sea bass was perfect and the seafood plate was fresh and yummy. The crab salad is a star of the seafood plate.

Cosy restaurant with friendly staff. All the seafood was fresh and very tasty. We had the mixed grill for two and ordered some bread alongside, which we found was the right amount of food (the picture doesn't do justice for the size of the plate!). The staff were very friendly and attentive the whole evening. We also appreciated that they gave us a choice of where to sit. Also, great cocktails!

Outstanding, attentive service. Solid food. No reservation but tried their best to accommodate us with no attitude. So helpful and welcoming. Seafood tower was completely worth it.

Fresh seafood which is affordable. I ordered the cold platter for 1 and I polished everything. 😊 Nice place but the service was rather slow when I was there, probably due to the shortage of staff. Suggest to go slightly earlier before dinner time to beat the crowd.

First time visit. Gorgeous place, excellent food and the staff is amazing!! Very friendly and welcoming. The mixed grill platter was insane!! And the garlic shrimp… so scrumptious 10/10 recommend. Will definitely return. Also, check out the Rioja Blanco La Mateo. Delicious wine that pairs so well with any fish dish. 🥰

Reservation is required and recommended! The food we order is the combination seafood and it is very tasteful and fresh. A very high value for money place to enjoy seafood

Have this restaurant on my Visit list due to multiple recommendations and didn't regret. The seafood is great, the manager kindly find a table for us even when we didn't have reservation and restaurant was almost full. The ambience is great, served style beautiful. Only remark is to have more staff, because of crowd, once the seafood plates were given only once one of the trash basket was changed, second stayed completely full and even when put aside the empty oyster plate, no one take it and we finish the dinner with our plates full of rest of crabs. Also no one checked if our wine bottle was empty or offer to have something else. However, definitely, will visit again😊 our bill was 190 EUR for 4 person which includes 1 bottles of wine, 2 fish plate for 2 person and a plate of 6 oysters😊

Best seafood restaurant in the Netherlands!!! The food is fresh and tasty , balanced flavours ! We tried the mix grill with additional lobster. The portions were generous and everything was cooked perfectly. The oysters as well were fresh and had a very interesting side sauce. But the most interesting was the grilled octopus. Seafood is my thing and I have tried grilled octopus in countless different countries cooked and paired very differently. The octopus in Seafood restaurant in Amsterdam had very interesting and delicious species and was served with delicious potatoes which made it a full meal instead of the usual appetiser. The service was also neat and fast !!! Can't wait to go back !!!

Very nice seafood restaurant a little outside of the “touristy” Amsterdam central. I would recommend making a reservation like others mentioned! The fried fish was delicious, and the cooked seafood platter for 2 was just amazing. The presentation matches the taste of the food. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

After visiting the Van Gogh Museum, we stumbled upon The Seafood Bar by pure coincidence. If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit. The dishes were so delectable that people sitting nearby actually paused their meals to inquire about what we were enjoying, expressing their envy. It was a memorable experience overall.

It seems quite reputed for this restaurant so we tried. The service was good as we went to a wrong location but the waiter still let us in and cancel the other one for us. We ordered crab cake, seafood mix grill and salad. All the stuff was just normal. Maybe too much seasonings and with the grill, we couldn't really taste the freshness for the seafood.

After cold dreary night in Amsterdam, we needed a restaurant that would meet our needs. The Seafood Bar met our needs and provided more, the seafood linguine was by far the best linguine we’ve had since the coast of Amalfi. The seafood platters were generous and well worth the price, if we had more than a few nights I would have come back for more meals. Needless to say, if you are in museum district and want to end your day with a splurge I would recommend this place. Of course the fact that you need to make reservations well in advance should indicate the popularity amongst locals and tourists. We will come back.

Got lucky with a same day reservation while out in the museum district. Our server Ilja was fantastic! She was incredibly attentive and really set the tone for a great experience. Food was delicious and would highly recommend to any seafood lover.

Lovely seafood and cocktails! We had a bloody mary and a beer, really fresh overall and a nice atmosphere! Staff was decent but quick to service. Would recommend trying!

One of my favorite Restaurants in Amsterdam. The seafood is really amazing and wonderfully prepared! The service is excellent and they have some really nice white wines ;-) We had a management meeting/dinner there and everybody was super happy. Thanks and we will come back!!

When we arrived we had to wait for about 15 minutes for someone to notice us, even though we saw some of the waiters not being busy. When they finally noticed us the service was correct and nice. The menu is good. Plenty of Seafood to chose from. We ordered a combination platter for 3 persons (fresh and from the barbecue) which was delicious. The wine menu is good. Time flew because we were in good company. We were there from 6.30PM till 11.30PM, 5 hours, talking, drinking and eating. We loved it!

OMG! One of the best seafood restaurants in Amsterdam, you’ve got to try the mixed grill which will came with almost all what you think about. Also the salad was amazing but didn’t have to time to take a photo because they directly jumped to it 😂. and the desert was a perfect taste to end up with. You totally need to visit when you come to Amsterdam 👌🏻👌🏻

THE BEST for a reason. "SEV" has suggested me exactly what I want to eat and drink . It made my evening wonderful and delicious . Food is top notch. I tried Octopus , mixed grill and Scallops and it was fantastic.

Overall a great experience! - Food was tasty - Personally was very friendly - Portions are also very good :) We were ion a dinner for 2x and ordered a mix combo, which was more than enough! :) Would come back to taste further fish-plates! :)

We visited on 7 Aug for lunch. The food was really good (so much so that I forgot to take photos and only had some screenshots of my IG story). Portions were generous and everything was cooked to the right texture. Highly recommend getting the mixed grill for variety, the squid and salmon were absolutely perfect. We ordered too much for the 2 of us so we took the fried calamari home and it's still tasty! Also, shout out to Julia for being an amazing hostess and for taking good care of us :)

Disappointed. The service is really bad. I have been to the sea food bar in other place and I thought it is excellent. Then I decided to come to this one. However, the service is the worst one I have ever met. After I sitting in the restaurant for about ten minutes, there is finally a server come. Even I waved my hand, they just ignored. All the eating tools and utensils I need to asked, otherwise they don’t provide. After waiting 45 minutes for the food I ordered, I definitely will not come again.

The freshest, most delicious seafood I've ever had! Absolutely loved the cold seafood platter, there were so many kinds of shellfish I'd never tried before, and I couldn't believe how much food there was! My only regret is not staying for oyster happy hour 😁 Can't wait to visit again the next time I'm in Amsterdam!

Fantastic food and great New Years Eve warm up! The Oyster selection and finger bites were excellent. Service from everyone but especially Saskia was impeccable and friendly. What an incredible experience; we tumbled upon this place and had a legendary platter of seafood with unending delights. We added the oysters, which were stunningly delicious. The crab cakes were more expensive but had authentic flavor. I wish my glass of wine hadn’t been taken away with a sip left but I have nothing to complain about because the pours were quite generous. Maybe a bit more of a dessert selection , but truly we’ve been so utterly spoiled… We’re truly grasping for complaints. Excellent!!!
