They serve good Indian food with lots of variety, you are welcomed with crispy flat bread with yogurt and sweet chutney. I ordered lamb curry which comes with complementary salad and rice and best thing is you can choose the level of spiciness you want. I found its prices reasonable considering the amount of food served and prices of other Indian restaurants I tried in Amsterdam. I would advise the staff to take care of their own hygiene it turns off sensitive customers like myself. Overall a good experience.

Good Indian Food, but ! Check if the candles below the plate are burning to keep the dishes warm or not. Ours were not, cost cutting perhaps?

A very nice place in the very center of Amsterdam. Nothing posh and the staff are mostly students - however, they are attentive and always fun to exchange a couple of words with. Food is rich in choice and flavours, Biriyanis are a specialty and done really good. Large portions and complementary salads, a great deal for downtown Amsterdam.

Fantastic authentic indian food right in the heart of Amsterdam. I ate here a few times and each time the food was fantastic. Quick & friendly service. You can try any dish and they are all prepared with the same level of quality and attention to detail ensuring the perfect blend of spices which results in a truly authentic Indian flavour. If you are in Amsterdam and looking for an authentic Indian food Koh-I-Noor is a must visit restaurant.

I had been to this Indian restaurant a good few years ago and had a great experience so thought I'd try it again. I booked us a table for 6 people as we walked past for that evening and was told no problem and fitted us in, just. We all turned up on time and were greeted nicely and seated. The restaurant seemed pretty quiet but soon filled out. I ordered drinks and all of us poppadum's and pickles, which were great, little bit spicy and different to what we get in England but we all really liked them. More drinks were ordered and brought to us promptly. I ordered the mix plate starter and it was absolutely lovely, can't remember what the others had as was busy getting through mine. We all finished our starters, which we were all very happy with, and ordered more drinks. Our mains came out all together which was nice, no one had to wait for there's. I ordered Lamb Madras, mushroom rice and a plain nan. The size of the rice was huge and thought it was for 2 but was all mine. The lamb madras was also lovely, very tasty with the right heat for me and went down a treat with my nan bread. I was there for my birthday weekend so had more beers lol I can't really remember what all the others had but they all really enjoyed there's as much as I did mine. I payed the bill which seemed very reasonably priced . The service was great and will definitely give this restaurant another go next time I'm in the city. Great work Koh-I-Noor and 5 out of 5 from me ;-)

Nice to find somewhere that you can actually sit down as a vegan to eat dinner in Amsterda's city centre! Service was great and food was delicious. We had a mix of things, including the Tarka Dal and the Aloo Gobi and both were great! Pappadums were also quite unique (seeded) but great! Also really appreciated the fresh salad that comes when you order main dishes. Vegan food wasn't mentioned on the menu but the staff were happy to help and explain what we could and couldn't have and really knew their stuff. Only thing was the pricing was quite high, but that's to be fairly expected in the city centre of Amsterdam.

A lovely place to eat dinner! The Naan was fresh and Delicious!! It was my parents first time having Indian cuisine and they loved it. As for me, I will try Indian all over and it was delicious here! They explained what was spicy and what was a medium level to the family. Food was served hot. My favorite thing from here was the Mango Lassie! Definitely would go back for it again! A good size beer came when ordered. Forgot to take a picture of the food. It was just too good 😅 only reason I took a star away was because the drink pricing. A small bottle was served for a while expensive pricing.

We've tried classical combo - tikka massala, butter chicken, some snacks and mango lassi. Tikka was nice - not the best in my experience but nice, I didn't like butter chicken - it was too sweet. Lassi was perfect! Also we liked service and atmosphere.

Amazing food and service. We ordered chicken tikka tandoori, butter chicken, and nan (with cheese) and everything was hot and tasty. Aqeel (hope I spelled his name right) and another gentleman, who I presume is the owner, took excellent care of us. Thank you!

This Indian restaurant deserves the maximum amount of 5 stars because of its excellent service and its phanomenal food! We tried 5 different dishes and every single one of them tasted like real Punjabi food straight from India! If you‘re looking for an authentic Indian food experience, this is the place to be!

Overall food is ok. But found it little expensive for the portion especially the Biryani. Also the taste is not authentic Biryani taste. But overall food was good.

Decent Indian food but served cold. With the temperature in Amsterdam you expect piping hot food but it was disappointing. Taste was fine.

We've made a reservation and got approval for it. We got dressed and went all the way to find out that the restaurant is closed. Big disappointment.
