    Me and my friend have been fans of Vapiano for years . However, we are tremendously disappointed by what we experienced today. Half of the restaurant was closed of, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. Staff was unhelpful. Pizza was not available on the menu, as well as deserts. We had to wait for over 40 minutes for our pasta, and they brought shaken Cola that literally exploded on me! In the desert section food leftovers were lying around(see photo) and what is even worse those leftovers were being used for dishes!(lemonades, salads) I have no words for how this made me feel! Please do something about this disaster!!!!

    UPDATED 20230910 This time the service was really terrible. I had to wait an whole hour for my take away pasta's while its was already made after 20 min. Just to figure out that they put it in the heating fridge the whole time. No one even bothered to check the order after even asking twice about it. One week ago I gave it a 5star, but this is just too much waiting in the heat. 20230902 Lately the pasta's has improved 💝

    Terrible experience. It took more than 1 hour for the food to arrive and when it did, the pasta was sticky and cold. My husband’s meal never arrived and when we complained the waitress said they couldn’t cancel the order and give the money back, so he had to eat after we all have finished our food. The worst Vapiano I’ve ever been, unfortunately.

    I guess that’s the only time I am sorry that my phone camera is so good that it can’t show the whole disaster. The photo looks much nicer than the reality. It was the worst pasta in my life. Overcooked, cold, dry of being on air or under the heating lamp, sticked to each other. You could even separate the spaghetti from each other. The veggies in Bolognese sauce were crunchy (so even the sauce wasn’t cooked properly). The atmosphere is another disaster. I understand that horeca is going through hard times as I work in hospitality too. Tables are dirty and they stay like this for 30 minutes at least. The staff doesn’t know what guests order. Waiters were constantly walking around the floor and asking every table if someone ordered this dish or not (no wonder the dishes come cold). Saw pizza man delivering orders to the tables. Saw guests going down to pick their order as they couldn’t wait anymore. I am writing this review not only for the customers but for management of the restaurant. It’s super dirty in the restaurant and the atmosphere is chaotic. The staff doesn’t know how to act and plan their work. Keep walking around bringing plate by plate separately (and it’s going down and up the stairs!) when you must teach your staff how to use trays for god’s sake. Your waiters bring drinks, straws, cutlery and clean the table not all at a time but come every two minutes! So it’s four times they come to the same table without any real need while the restaurant full of people and you lack staff (and it’s for every table!!!!!). Other tables are full of dirty dishes so new customers can’t take a seat. I was watching this chaos and then I got my awful food I wasn’t even going to finish. At least train your staff before letting them begin. I never blame the staff who has no experience but the management who doesn’t care about training their staff. Total disgrace.

    Vapiano Rembrandtplein Amsterdam Review WARNING: DO NOT EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT On September 23, 2023, at 18:30, my friends and I decided to have a quick bite to eat at Vapiano Rembrandtplein. We had tickets to the National Ballet at 20:15, so we wanted to eat something fast. When we arrived, there was no one at the counter to greet us. After a few minutes, a waitress came and showed us to a table where people were already sitting. She pointed to three stools and walked away. We placed our order using a QR code that took us to a website. We ordered three pizzas and three drinks. We had to pay and tip immediately, which I thought was strange because we didn't know how the service would be. After 20 minutes, one of our drinks arrived. Ten minutes later, a bottle of Radler with the cap still on was placed on our table. The waitress walked away. I tried to get the waitress's attention, but she ignored us. I looked around and noticed that at several tables, not all people were not eating: at the same table, the same group of people, not all the people had their food. After 20 minutes, I finally caught the waitress's attention. She took the bottle of Radler to open it, but then she disappeared for another 10 minutes—still no third drink. We had been waiting for 45 minutes at this point. We decided to go looking for the third drink ourselves. We asked a staff member, who went upstairs and yelled for someone to bring it up. The restaurant has three floors. I decided to go to the bathroom. The bathrooms were dirty. There was a broken sink, no soap, and toilet paper all over the floor. Two of my friends are lactose intolerant, so the pizza must be vegan. We asked for a box to take the pizza with us. The two other pizzas arrived at 20:00. They were cold, and the other pizza didn't have vegan cheese. We asked for two boxes and ran to the concert. I would not recommend anyone to eat here. It was a complete disgrace. Once you've paid, you can't leave; otherwise, we would have gone after an hour if we could have, but we had born good of money, and there was now an to whom we could complain. The staff was indifferent and didn't know how to serve customers. They didn't seem to care either. Maybe they were overworked, or they're not hospitality people, and they weren't trained. Whatever the reason, I will never eat or order food from Vapiano again. I was almost late for the concert. I spent a lot of money on food I couldn't eat, and I was so angry instead of having a pleasant dinner. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid eating or ordering food from Vapiano.     Disappointing. We were seated under the speakers and the music was too loud; so uncomfortable. Staff aren’t friendly and doing the minimum. We ordered pizza margarita, spaghetti and arrabiata, the pizza was good but the pasta was over cooked and mushy. Plus the table wasn’t cleaned has a lot of spots and oil.

    Patricia the manager is so rude, gave me the wrong order then hung up in my ear. When we went to pick up our order again she didnt even say sorry. She was rude and we get mad too she didnt want to give us the cheese and forks and there was a hair in my food. Patricia shouldnt work in horeca so rude.

    For a location this good, we weren't expecting such great food, plus the chicken was halal, and portions were great too! There are plastic containers where you can pack your leftover food yourself...smart efficiency. And the open kitchen adds a unique charm and vibe to the whole place.

    Its dirty to begin with, tables, and surroundings and it always use to be clean. Order online But takes ages before The food is ready 45/60 minutes for pizza en a capreze salad! The salad was really a sad. The Rucola if it was there plain and the cheese was more like a bowling bal! Use to love coming here but seems like this was the last time ;(.

    Horrible experience!! Showed up and the staff was rude and told us there were no tables even though there clearly were. We waited inside until the lady let us go down and sit. The tables were so dirty and no one wanted to do take the dishes. Ordered food and drinks and they never brought the drinks and were VERY rude and walked away from us with no drinks. We asked a third time before the waiter told us “your order didn’t come” and refused to give us a refund or drinks until I showed the receipt. Horrible food as well! The carbonara was pasta with scrambled eggs (look at the picture i couldn’t even eat it) it was so gross! I have been to vapianos in Vienna, Germany, London and Utrecht and have NEVER been so disappointed! 0/10 save your money

    Super customizable Pasta 🍝 & Pizza 🍕, my chef 👩‍🍳 was super helpful. Reasonably priced menu... washroom were out of order Food is good but waiting time at pasta food counter may be high, fortunately we went at an Odd time... So I advise either you go really early during peak hours or expect a good waiting time.

    Seriously this place has issues. The staff is DISRESPECTFUL and LAZY and throws glassware like it’s nothing into service bin. Management needs to observe their staff and get rid of these animals, but no one cares here. Stay away. Google said that it was busy, but barely had any customers when arriving, but takes forever for order to come to table DISGRACEFUL for this chain. If you have staffing issues or shortages DON’T OPEN. Restrooms don’t have soap or towels and 2/3 of facilities are not working. I was walking from bathroom and staff blocked my way and was complaining that she wanted to close sections and not allow any more people. But take note that 75 percent of restaurant was blocked off already

    Wasn’t a great experience as we were supposed to have spinach pizza and it came with no spinach on it 😁 even they brought us a plate of spinach, And we had salad too and it came super late. Service and taste was good but unfortunately we weren’t that much lucky to enjoy fully.

    The place looks nice, really big. They have this card system that allows you to pay after you've eaten, when you leave. Still, it took a long time to get my order. Whey it finally arrived, the pizza was actually good.

Als compensatie werd een dessert beloofd. Niet gekregen! En toilet mocht niet gebruikt worden. Het restaurant ernaast liet ons niet toe voor het toilet vanwege klagende klanten van Vapiano Amsterdam Rembrandtsplein.

    The worst vapiano ever They bring me the appetizer and it’s took almost 15 min just the bring the knife and and fork Then they took 1 hour just to bring the main course it’s was really a bad experience from vapiano I love vapiano but this one is the worst

    Risotto was very greasy, asked for another one, however it was still greasy and now the vegetables were raw and there was no cheese which I payed extra for. I have never had such a bad risotto in my life. (The photo is the second time we got it, they tried to hide the grease with spinach)

    Ordered risotto gorgonzola e noci with a drink for an early dinner (around 17.15). Drink arrived after 20 minutes. Very soupy rice arrived after 50 minutes with very little filling. Will never come here again.

    I love Vapiano! They’re not a real Italian restaurant but everything there is very taste and pasta is always “al dente”. Now you can order through a QR code from the table and it makes everything just fast and chill. The only thing I didn’t like at all was that we had to go all the way down, while there were many free tables at ground floor.

    This place could’ve been alright. I’m literally writing this review just to pass the time. We’re waiting for a simple pasta dish for 1 hour now. In the meantime i smelled the basil in front of me multiple times and that was good. Do not recommend for anybody who likes to eat tho.

    What the heck with the waiting time ... Just checked all the comments, and there is a big problem there. If you're in a hurry, look for something else. Had to wait 1:30 to get 1 Salad & 1 desert delivered. Poor rider, he waited more than 40 min in front of the restaurant ... Was the food good at least ? pretty basic for the price

    First of all, we eat in a basement! No fresh air, no windows, no natural light, all of this gives a weird atmosphere. Secondly, I entered the restaurant and there was no indication what so ever. After waiting in the middle of the eating room, wondering what to do, some staff member came and told me to sit at the back of the restaurant next to the toilet and behind the kitchen. While they’re was clearly other seats available. Once seated, we didn’t know if we had to wait for a waiter or go ask directly to the kitchen (which is open its the restaurant’s style). There was a menu on the table but it was in dutch so we had to translate it. Doubting, i went to ask at the kitchen but they told me there was a QR code on the table (i was at a table of 10 for only two persons and the QR code was on the opposite side, we honestly had to search it around). And finally we have to pay online through the QR code. Now let’s talk about the food. We ordered one pizza and one pasta. The pasta arrived well before the pizza so we had time to finish it before. My girlfriend liked it even though it was clearly overcooked. The pizza was disgusting, it tasted worst than frozen pizza even though i saw the cook do it in front of me (because i was sitting behind the kitchen). The only good thing about this restaurant is the staff, which were all very kind, just poorly trained or managed i would say. To sum up, i don’t recommend. This restaurant is not representative of the chain at all.

    Unbelievable staff, manager making pizzas herself. It takes minimum 45 minutes for your pizza to be served. The greeting lady said the sitting is full, but when we walked in - it was all empty. Be careful, this is not the German Vapiano.

    I really like Vapiano usually but this place is so badly managed!! Half the restaurant was « closed » as they are lacking staff (not paying them enough or treating them well to attract them?) and we were forced to be packed on one table although there were plenty more upstairs. No pizza or salad were available, and they only told us about it after making us wait for about 20 minutes. Then their payment system didn’t work, so they sent me upstairs instead of assisting me. In the end I spent the full evening with the manager trying to order instead of my family... And when I suggested a commercial gesture, I was simply ignored.

    The service is very slow. Two chefs for the whole restaurant + take away and clearly understaffed.. I would not recommend unless you are not hungry and want to wait for your food until you do become hungry! The pasta is good though ngl.

    Only prepay with phone, but fails since bank requires identier. Then twice up down the stairs for payment and order goes wrong. Waiting 30 min for pizza, and after 60 min they realize the salad has not been made yet. Personal agrees it is a mess. Due to the prepay they have no consequence for their bad service. A refund to compensate would be appreciated.

    I really liked this restaurant in London and wanted to check it in Amsterdam too. It’s much better in London, looks more fancy and works better, the line was really long in that one and we waited forever to order because they only opened 2 stations. The food though, was really good. We took two pasta dishes, one was the Fungi and the other was Reef a beef. They were delicious😌because it was very messy to order, and looked like a fast food restaurant, I only rank the place ⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Tell you what, I like this place a lot. It's not just the food, which is excellent, but also the ambient. This restaurant has three levels and plenty of views to take. Pricing is decent. Right now I am having a Pizza Bruschetta, soaked in oil enriched with a hot pepper. I also like their lasagnas, but they are often not available which is sad. Oh, a warn.     I visited here last week. I ordered a mushroom pasta only for there to be several HAIRS in the dish. I told the waiter & it was as if it was funny to him. He didn’t apologise but got a new dish to be made. I was reluctant to eat it but there wasn’t much options around. I began eating it for there only to be more hairs. It’s disgusting and a health and safety concern. I would NEVER recommend anyone to eat at this nasty restaurant. The chefs have no standards & the staff are just as bad.
