Such a great experience! We did the twelve course dinner and enjoyed every bite. All of the food was delicious and the presentation was incredible. We had dietary restrictions (one vegetarian and I am gluten-intolerant) and they were so accommodating and made sure we all got a similar dish and could have the same experience. The gluten-free bread was some of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend!

When I heard about this place I was so excited to try on my next trip to Amsterdam, I made a reservation but I was put on a waiting list. About four days later I decided to follow up since I did not hear anything back. I made a call and I was given a time slot for my reservation, I was looking forwards to the experience. On the morning of reservation, I received a message with necessary information to get to the restaurant and some other details. Upon arrival and successfully entering the restaurant, I was briefed and sat on my table. I chose the 15 course menu. Service was amazing, staff are knowledgeable and try to accommodate as much as possible. Food experience was great, although I would increase the size slightly maybe by .5 oz. They use a lot of fish dish as mentions in their website. I loved the experience and would maybe try again in summer time since their menu changes seasonally. As per the staff request, I won’t go into the details since they want the experience to be more personal to each guests. The price was €150 for 15 course meal, for that I would add an Amuse-bouche and palate cleanser.

The allure is for sure a major draw card as is the food but the service falls short on many levels for a Michelin star restaurant. If the staff and chef are not in sync it’s a overshadow experience. Arrived at 7.30. Asked for a cocktail in which we started having in the entrance and then asked to continue at our table. Upon being seated asked if we wanted the wine list and water. 2 times I replied NO as we had large drinks to finish. Without asking our first corse landed in front of us mid drink !! There on after you are ushered into dining on the time slot of someone else. The food undoubtedly is a treat. The service of the staff throughout the evening was less convincing and often felt forced. The end of the dinner was present the bill that had the printing so faded I couldn’t see what I was paying for with all the extras. I took a guest as a gift and to my horror had to ask the waiter in front of my guest what the amount was as could not read it. Lighting you must know is also very dimmed (great until this point), and my phone camera bleached out the print viewing even more. My guest taken back by the situation which was unfortunate as it then didn’t work as a surprise. The interior is tasteful and private and the music just the right level but can’t help but feel we were being ushered out of the restaurant as the restaurant needed to closed. We left at 10.30 after a 13 corse menu. Just keep in mind it maybe a gamble.

Waste of time and money. If you are looking for a fine dine experience, good ingredients, lively service and vibe - This is NOT the place to go. All in all it was a very average experience, probably less. Don’t let the speakeasy, secret want to be cool promise fool you. Just an average, not worth your money and expectation experience.

Wonderful overall experience. I won’t spoil it for you as they want to keep the interiors and some elements a surprise. We took the 10-course option - I was with 3 other vegetarians while I had the regular menu. Both options are fab, although I would recommend the veg option just a bit stronger as the dishes were more unique. Enjoyed this.

We had a fantastic experience here. Food and service were top-notch with some innovative presentations and deliciously fresh ingredients. Extensive wine list with great recommendations from the sommelier. Ambience and design of the space were also very pleasing.

This restaurant turns fine dining into an experience. There is no doorbell you have to use a QR code to enter the place. We were welcomed with amazing cocktails. The host seated us next to a small kitchen where a chef prepared our food. We experienced a ten course menu. Every single course was absolutely delicious. The wine list is extraordinaire and great wines are affordable. The interior is dark and mysterious. We loved it. At desert chef Peter Gast came over for a chat. I would not be surprised if Graphite would have a Michelin star next year.

The restaurant is beautiful and we like to mystery factor. The bartender was very friendly and made good conversation. However, I do have a few recommendations. Merijn was just a little rude. He seemed unhelpful in general and didn't seem to like us or want to serve us. My other big pet peeve was that where we were seated we could see a sous-chef (I think) at a little station preparing a lot of our meals from plastic storage containers. She was 10 feet away, it took away from the experience...which is quite expensive for what it is. The food was pretty good but absolutely not worth the money, in my opinion. It was my husband's 40th birthday and we choose this restaurant because we thought they would be excellent and that just wasn't the case.

[TL;DR: Graphite has 1 Michelin star, but they definitely deserve a second one] Absolutely mind-blowing dining experience ! We had the 15-preparation menu : the quality, diversity and visual appearance of all dishes is fantastic. Fresh products and audacious combinations create new tastes and "umami" dishes. One great touch was to have a cocktail as one of the preparations to do a break during the other courses The sommelier also proposed us with great wine bottles recommendations that we could even taste thanks to a Coravin

Great experience overall. The food was delicious. I would prefer to not reuse cutlery between meals, especially seeing as there are so many options of cutlery types already on the table. I will be coming back definitely though.

The restaurant is thought as a speakeasy (it’s hidden and no pics of the interior can be taken) and that makes the experience nice. We tried the 12 courses menu and from a restaurant with 1 michelin star we were expecting more. The service was a bit rough: sets of different cutleries are provided at the beginning of the meal and they won’t be changed until the end. It’s an original concept but it didn’t add anything to the experience. We ordered a glass of wine and the waiter didn’t let us taste it before serving. The food was good but not exceptional. Given the amount of courses most of them were bites (this was expected). The menu narrative (order of the dishes) didn’t take us on a culinary journey and seemed rather haphazard. There was no palate cleanser between the main course and the dessert. We actually found the dessert rather unrefined and a bit heavy/sweet. Overall we were a bit disappointed. There are restaurants out there within the price range that offer less courses, yet much more thought through and sensorial.

Absolutely one of the most wonderful experiences in Amsterdam for dinner. Set meny. Michelin star. Excellent service. Wonderful wines list. Premium selection of Whiskeys and grappas. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Explains each dish, and where the ingredients are coming from for each dish. Also how the history of the location ties to the food and dishes. Absolutely scrumptious and luscious!

In one word AWESOME! The food was delicious with extraordinary combinations of ingredients. With good wines to pair with the meals. Also an enjoyment for the eyes. Personnel was really professional and friendly. They were passionate about their job and the food/wines. A really big complement to the chef-cook(s). Definitely take the 15 course menu. Dietary requirements were taken into account on a nice way. Definitely coming back and recommended to all our friends.

This is one of the places that you visit for the dining experience. It is set up in a club-like atmosphere so it was not surprising that we ended up spending close to 4hours for lunch. The flavours were exquisite and well defined. They have a long list (booklet to be exact) of wines to select from. The hostess and hosts make you feel welcome and we enjoyed chatting with two of them who were friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars if we had not encountered the sommelier on staff that day. He was not pleasant to interact with and was more interested in getting through the day than understanding what wines we would have enjoyed. As a result our wine bill at the Graphite was comparably lower than any other restaurants we had previously visited.

Nice experience and setting which could feel a bit more personalized however the portions themselves received all the care which the guests could maybe miss, great taste.

Positively overrated and gimmicky meal. If you must go, definitely DONOT sit at the single narrow white table that ensures that you sit in a kitchen setting on uncomfortable bar stools for 180min of beautiful yet overtly lacklustre food.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
