Horrible service last night. We had to wait 30 minutes for our order to be ready and it was a total mess. Then the nightmare did not stop there as we found a caterpillar in the burger 🤢 Definitely avoid this place.

One of the main McDonald’s in Amsterdam. Tried the McKroket and to be honest it was just okay. I like trying new things maybe should of stick with the original menu but I’m glad I tried it. Has some nice vibes here

I paid €20 for food, and they still expect me to pay for the toilet. If you want to use the toilet without buying anything, I get the extra fee. But when I'm already a customer, I'm definitely NOT paying for the toilet. So, 1 star. Customer service is not existing in here.

I entered hoping to find a charging point for my phone. Unfortunately couldn’t find any. Costs 70 cents to use the restroom. Service was fast, no complaints.

They asked for 50 cents to enter the toilet, and they won't take card. What kind of service is this? I have not seen this in any McDonalds I have been in Europe

End March 2023 Summary: There were two large orders before mine, and it is understandable that it takes some time for them to get done. However, when those orders are done, and the McDonald's crew begin to skip numbers in packaging next orders, and look back at the kitchen when I ask about mine, then the entire previous waiting gains a context that I don't consider reasonable. The serving staff has been very nice to me through this (5+/5). Suggestion to the reader: Factor in the possibility of an unusually long waiting time when deciding to come here. If you are in a hurry, even a seemingly empty place can ask for 15+ minutes of you for a single big mac. My Experience It has been some 10 years since I am working in the neighborhood of this McDonald's, and I, in fact, have never visited them, like I did with many of their neighbors. Today was the day to correct that, and I went small, with an order of a single Big Mac. The hallway and ordering machines were empty. Given that, I've decided that my 15 minutes were enough. I've struggled a bit with the machine, because I am new, but I managed. There was some 11 minutes left to receive the order. My number was 18, and I soon realized there were numbres 16 and 17 before me. I watched the sticked note for each order. Soon, we got orders 19, 20 and 21, perhaps 22 added too. Everyone was waiting, and I realized my mistake: both the kitchen and the staff are the bottleneck, at least in the morning (not blaming you folks, you rock!). I've waited out to see both 16 and 17 served the big bags of things, which brought up my hopes. Not so fast. Things kept coming in for packaging, but the next number they took was 20, leaving 18 and 19 behind. Surprisingly, I had 3 minutes left by then. For those who don't know, that is exactly how long it takes to prepare a Big Mac. I said, fine, after three minutes, I am walking out. And I did so when there was no change. Before the final move to go out, I returned my receipt, and I was asked by the staff what I was waiting for. I told them what my order was, and when the staff member started to look back at the kitchen folks, which was a telling moment — there was no telling if they even started to prepare my Big Mac, and I definitely couldn't and shouldn't have waited for it any longer. I had to go.

You have to pay to go the the bathroom, the bathroom doors are kept open for the world to see too!

Disaster and disappointment. You order two cheeseburgers and after more than 20 min they are not even on preparation queue. Probably not the best place to use self order machines to moderate the queue which is insane long (still you do not see it when entering and ordering stuff).

It was FANTASTIC… not only have we waited more than 25 min for 2 mini burgers (take away) but we also got our burgers with the wrong toppings! *I’m leaving this comment to advise going to another McDonald’s nearby, it can’t be worse than this one (waiting time wise).* Looking into the kitchen you could see 10-12 people working at a rather slow pace (slow might be too gentle). At every moment there were at least 2 employees leaning on the kitchen counter not helping nor serving. Btw, a guy ordered just water and ended up waiting 25 minutes. Warmly recommend to go to another McDonald’s just 10 min away. Food quality standards, cannot complain (other than the wrong toppings, completely ignored my preferences but it’s okay nothing life changing) ;)

You have to pay 0.75 € in cash to use the toilet, and it's not the cleanest I've seen (but to be fair this mcdonald's is pretty well frequented). Our order number wasn't visible on the receipt that the machine gave us. Otherwise it's a nice looking place in the city center.

Came from England, worst experience ever in all mc donalds from Amsterdam, charging customers 50 cents to use the toilet is insane. Ordered two meals and asked for 2 sweet and sour sauces, The guy gave me one and told me to buy another one on the machine before rudely ignoring me and talking to a new customer. Chips was cold and had no salt at all. Will never return

Absolutely ridiculous but to wash your hands you have to have to pay 50 cents in cash, no other way. Toilet is dirty, no soap, air dryer is broken, no signs of quality control of the cleanliness - can’t believe it’s McDonalds

The kiosk machines are user friendly and convenient. My biggest thing is the prices. Even McD prices are high in the city. Although they do charge you to use the toilets, it was probably the best thing personally cause it was very difficult finding other toilets around. So if you need the toilet and can’t find one, just search a McD and pay the small fee. It’s cleaner and can definitely help.

Busy at night, their HVAC was broken, but the staff were taking it in stride. Dealing with many drunken tourists and locals at the same time is no easy task. They maintained their composure, remained friendly and fun, and were very efficient. I hope their air conditioner gets fixed, it was hot as a guest, I can't imagine how it would be as a staff member. Kudos to them for handling, but they shouldn't have to endure that.

It's always nice to visit a mcds in another country. There are slight differences that I'm intrigued to see. I had a sweet chilli chicken burger. Its something we don't.have the uk and it was nice. The staff were great and the place was nice and clean.

This Mac is always crowded in night. Got 2 entrances. Till 2:00 in night food can be ordered and delivered via UBER Eats ( last Mac). It got dedicated person for deliveries only so it's fast. Fast food never got 5 stars from Me. 4 stars is max.

This part of Europe being Amsterdam toilets are not free. Be careful not to look the wrong way at the security person.

The menu doesnt specify the difference between vegan nuggets and normal nuggets, making it VERY hard to know what you're ordering, which is rather annoying. Also the toilets always have to be paid for, but its not possible to pay with card. As if everyone is just carrying cash around nowadays (unbelievable). Avoid

We experienced waiting time of 1 hour (!!!) from payment till we received the order. Electronic queue was broken, staff couldn’t organise themselves. A lot of angry people waiting around.

Went for a snack late afternoon. Found seats on the 2nd floor. It seemed quite clean. Ordering through the kiosk was easy with card payment. There are few kiosks at both entrances. Didn't use the paid toilet.

We were a bit late to retrieve our order. They just canceled the order, and give our food to someone else. Waiting in front of the pick up point, trying to find someone to help us, they just ignored us. Very rude. The toilet needs to pay separately.

Paid toilets! - I didn't realise and when I came out of the toilet I was chased because I hadn't paid. A guy was standing there with his card machine pointing at me. €1 card or 0.70 cash. WiFi doesn't work. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

It is always super busy. Lots of Spanish/Italian tourists in their 20s help the waiting time pass easier... McDonalds

The food was fine, just like any other mcdonalds. You do have to wait long before you get your food, and downstairs everything is a bit close to each other. You have to pay for the toilet.

Extremely unprofessional staff! Always mess up the order! Today they put wrong pastries, melted icecream, forgot to put sauces (5st.) for fingerfood AT ALL! The manager MUST be fired! Other staff must receive proper training!

The McDonald's restaurant is well situated, the service is a bit long but it might be because the restaurant was full. Concerning the food, it is a McDonald's like other McDonald's.

The staff work at a snails pace, and it's the first time iv ever gone into a Mackys and had to pay to use the toilet, and if you don't have the money your not going the toilet. Terrible, the service well the ques where quite long and they call out your number and they don't call the hole number only half of it. So if ypur not listening godhelp you, we waited over 20 mins for our food after we ordered it at the machine.

Terrible place. Working staff just standing behind counter. Long faces (probably waiting for their shift to be over), no smiles, answering questions yes/no. PAID TOILETS even for customers. Never seen anything like this McDonalds before. Go literally ANYWHERE else to have a better experience.

Its a fine macdonalds except for the fact that they charge you to use the toilet. We spent 30 euros there to be asked for another 70cents to use the facilities. Menus are touchscreen and have a dew different languages, my custom order arrived with no issues. Reslly let down an over all good meal with the toilet charge.

The Dutch genius with chips has 'infected' McDonalds! The best I've ever had from this franchise. And also overall a very well run, hygienic restaurant. Thank you. Dan

You have to try double egg and bacon mcmuffin delicious. Can be very busy but worth it to try MacDonald s in another country.

Absolutely insane at night. No control. Crazy crowd of insane people shouting and didn't let me get my order. I went outside after paying by order to get some space from noise and was not let back inside despite my best efforts. Had to sneak my way in and got insulted by customers... Apart from opening hours, no reasons to go there

Visited McDonald's near the Flower Market in Amsterdam today. Worst McDonald's ever. Staff scanned us in for vaccine status and asked for passport as proof of ID, which is fine, but then 70% of the staff wore their masks under their noses, pointless. Longest wait ever, not exactly fast food. Food was not hot. So many people waiting there could be no distancing. They charge customers to use the toilet. It was grubby. Won't be visiting there again.
