My order number: 18106KVF. Non-fresh ingredients. We ordered 2 portions of fish cakes and received 9 pieces?!? (Not 8 or 10, but 9, for 2 portions). The fish cake was rather full of flour instead of fish and was very sweet. Our red curry duck in pineapple shared the same story and have way less duck (8 pieces) for price of €17. The duck tasted like it just came out from the freezer, lost its meat texture and tasted very powdery. The pineapple is not blended at all in the red curry, so there's no sour taste in the curry itself. Sugar taste in the curry was way over the top. THe only thing they got right was probably the plain white rice.

Rice was not sticky and seem not to be Jasmin, strange for a Thai place to use basmati. The fish cake and spring rolls were ok, and massaman and green curry were good with lots of taste.

Delicious Thai food, super friendly people and very affordable. I think its mostly a take away place, however, we sat in the restaurant and had a lovely time! Would recommend and will definitely come back. :)

I have been ordering from Amara May for a while now and am content with the quality. As a lover of Thai food and halal food, I was pleased to find a place that caters to both. My favourite is their Pad Thai and the Green curry.

Ordered Pad Thai with Tempeh and Pad Phed with Tofu. Lots of vegeterian options! Rice was okay but the rest was absolutely delicious!! big portions and very flavorful. Will order again :)

ordered the tom kha tofu (clearly marked as vegetarian) and found bits of chicken in it. pad phed (red curry) also very dry, sour, and disappointing. staff lovely but won't be ordering from here again.

A new restaurant serving incredibly good Thai food. I’ve sampled 6 or 7 dishes so far and each one was perfect. In my opinion it’s serving some of the best Thai food in Amsterdam and I’ve tried countless restaurants... Fresh, simple, tasty food that can’t be faulted.

Got the basil chicken and the cashew chicken. Delivery came fairly quickly and food was warm. However, they don't use Jasmin rice, instead they use some generic cheap long grain rice (not even basmati) that also was a bit overcooked. The dishes themselves were decent flavor-wise, though the basil chicken was only a little spicy while I found the cashew chicken to be noticeably spicier. This despite that the cashew chicken was rated as 1 chilis and the basil chicken rated as 3 chilis. Overall I'd say they were much better at their old location. Now they're below average Thai food quality in Amsterdam. If they fix the rice and the spiciness levels I'd give them a 4.

Just had my first order. It was DELICIOUS! Papaya salad... was sooo good! Fried rice was a great surprise! Usually those are pretty bland. But this one was full of vegetables and truly fried. Best Thai food I had in Amsterdam! Thank you! and keep it up!
