Service was great, friendly staff. The steak itself was delicious. A word of warning about the gravy, I had the sambal, and it was probably my fault for not understanding the dish, however it felt like half and half salt and oil, I felt sick afterward for eating so much oil and salt. And only had 2 pieces of bread dipped in it, didn't finish 1/4 of the gravy. I think it's there for flavour and not something to be fully eaten. Would love to know where I went wrong please if you have a chance to respond. Fries were great. Drinks were delicious. Would have been nice to have had the fries or potato included for the price.

Love the foods and wine but was disappointed by few things. Firstly, the restaurant was so warm that you simply couldn’t enjoy the dinner. Secondly this is the first time I was served with wet wine glass. Thirdly I asked for tap water and then was asked how many bottles I wanted 🤣. Overall I recommend the great foods of the restaurant

Such a great steak house! Really enjoyed medium rare garlic steak and sauteed mushrooms. Everything was very nice and I'd recommend this place!

Went there for a dinner. Quite of an unpleasant experience. Order a salad with dressing on the side. Salad came drenched in the dressing so that you couldn’t taste anything else of it. Poke bowl was tiny and it came with two spoons of rice and plenty of dry carrots. Really bad. Fries were drenched in Mayonnaise. The waitress with Asian descent literally threw the food on the table and was very inpatient. Terrible customer service. Would never go again

It's what you expect from any Loetje restaurant: ossenhaas cooked to perfection, medium rare as asked, with a very good spicy "Bali" gravy, combined with slices white bread to dip the sauce. Of course they have other options, fish, salads, even veggie. Serving is fast and friendly. But it is what you expect from any Loetje 😉. BTW, these restaurants are kids-friendly!

Pretty large place with plenty of seating spread out in multiple rooms. Reservation is recommended as it gets crowded for dinners. I had a hamburger with fries and the fries were better than the hamburger which is not a good sign. Soup of the day was kind of bland. Service was fast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, friendly staff and great service. English version of their menu available online. Loved the burrata served with bread, tomato and pesto. Fries were very crispy and well done too! Tenderloin steak was juicy and flavourful. Our first time trying veal liver, the portion was huge, it was well cooked but hard to finish simply because of how heavy it was. Would recommend getting it to share if it’s your first time trying it! Edit, the next day: We love the service but the food was not clean. We went home and contracted food poisoning and have since been to the doctors.

This restaurant is so special to us! We had two different steaks to share, and they were both amazing! The fries on a bed of mayo is a must order!! The portions are quite big, so make sure you're hungry. Service was great, our waiter was so kind and helpful. They were friendly enough to help us decide what to have, by suggesting their popular menu items. The atmosphere is fun, open and inviting.

Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. So glad our tour guide recommended it. Steaks were awesome. Gravy tasty. The apple dessert was wonderful.

Very special way to serve a steak. Portion is big, steak is juicy, and price is fair. Chicken liver was a surprise. It was so juicy and delicious. A must try here.

A bit overpriced. The meat is decent, and cooked nicely, the gravy is quite tasty but it's overall a bit disappointing. White bread for the sauce... Fries are not good quality... It would be fine if it wasn't that expensive.

Great steak and fries, sweet potato fries is also spot on. Wouldn't mind to see some larger steaks (250gr+) on the menu, to enjoy more meat and less fries, butter & bread as filler. Sitting inside also won't protect you from the smell of smokers from outside, as many sit by the door and cross draft brings it all in.

The service was very bad. We would wait multiple times up to 20 minutes for the waiters to come to our table. Plus, it was not that they were under staffed because we could see them standing but not paying attention to the tables.

Great food! Very meaty. -⭐ because veggie options are very limited for dinner (two options, one of them a veggie burger). Friendly staff and nice building.

Pleasant Restaurant Cafe. I had a trio of fish which was very decent. Enough smoked eel and lovely Dutch shrimps. A main course of steak with bacon and chicken liver. They give a stack of bread to do the excellent gravy justice. A dessert of strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Excellent meal. The place is somewhat crowded here and there, but it's ok. Staff are mostly professional.

Saturday afternoon and the clouds had covered Amsterdam. We had checked into our hotel and hit Google to find a restaurant to eat at. And trust me when I say the food and service deserves more than 5 stars. The waiter advised that the steak ordered be medium rare. And he was right. Those in the UK would class this as rare. It was perfectly cooked and rested. I took the liver bacon and onion topping. And if I am completely honest with the side of sautéed mushrooms would have made a meal in itself without the steak. The sweet potato fries with homemade garlic mayonnaise was the perfect accomplishment. We decided on a bottle of sauvignon blanc which worked so well with the meal. I would highly recommend that you walk out of the centre to this gem of a restaurant.

Amazing food, just classic Dutch fare! The steak is amazing and a must have. The carpaccio and goat cheese are delicious starters. Unfortunately despite a reservation we had to wait a long time for a table, and then waited a longer time for the food. But the staff were very friendly!

Service was fast and with a smile. We had an incident with one of the steaks (was well done, not medium rare) and it was quickly fixed and got a round of drinks on the house. Good coordination between servers overall. Food was delicious.

Absolutely new and fantastic experience! Type of steak in cooked fat that I have never tried before. Cooked to perfection medium rare 🤤 Accompanied by delicious fries regular or sweet potato to your liking. Cannot express enough how lovely the staff is. Very accommodating and attentive, ready to have a chat with you while taking/bringing orders. Must must try in Amsterdam 🔥🇳🇱

Had dinner here. What fantastic steaks!!! Perfectly cooked, ask for extra garlic on the steak. The salads were excellent also. Try the sticky toffee for dessert. Great ambience and lots of space for seating.
