We had such a wonderful experience at Restaurant Vermeer! We went to celebrate my birthday and booked a Culinary Experience which included dinner, room service breakfast and a night at the hotel where the restaurant is located. From the moment we entered the staff was very friendly, professional and quick. We had a 5 course meal and 4 complimentary snacks in between, all of which were superb 👌 The food was served either by the chef himself or someone else working in the kitchen, amazing presentation, fresh ingredients from local sources, creative dishes. We went for wine pairing with all the courses, which was a great choice because the sommelier really knew how to bring out the taste with each course. The atmosphere at the restaurant was very comfortable and laid back. At the end of the evening the staff recommended us some cocktail bars which also turned out to be amazing. During dinner we received a few options for breakfast from which we chose. When breakfast came, I was shocked at the amount of food they brought, was too much for two people 😀 Needless to say, it tasted amazing. Thank you to everyone at Restaurant Vermeer for making my birthday such a special celebration!

We came back here the second time after the pandemic, and it is just as amazing as our first experience. We love this restaurant. It's one of this Michelin star restaurant that not only served innovative and delicious food, but also offered and unforgettable dining experience. The courses were served in a very coordinated fashion. All the dishes hit the table at the same time. Moreover, all the cutleries and dishes we picked up not only at the same time, but also in the same order. Our 6 courses dinner were served up by different members of the staff in that very precise manner. The staffs seems don't exist, when you don't need them, be but they all magically appear at the same time when they sense any need from the customers. They pay close attention to every little thing, making this a wonderful experience that you will not forget.

Easily, EASILY, one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam. The food, often locally sourced, is made with exceptional care and respect. Every course was engaging, unique, and above all, delicious. I’ve been here many times and will surely be back again soon. If you’re visiting Amsterdam add this place to your ‘must do’ list - you won’t regret it.

2nd time here, still amazed by the team work. First time we were here, we were shocked by the team. It's like watching a symphony, everyone works at the same pace. There's rhythm in all the staff's movement, a look, a gesture, make all the team move at exactly the same precise seconds. But 2nd time, I didn't see that. All the rhythms gone. So the magical feelings disappeared! But... Love our 6 course menu & celebration menu. The best is to pair with wines. The Sommelier is knowledgeable & amazing, love every single wine they picked and pairs for us. From greetings to saying goodbye, Restaurant Vermeer make sure they treat you like an old friend. Can't believe this time, Chef Chris introduce his cusine himself, we feel very lucky.

Overpriced, overestimated. Waste of of money and time. We took 6 plate tasting set, starters were good, vegetables were ok, but main courses were disappointing, we returned our plates ,and the chef even didn’t interested why this happened. Desserts were not bad, but not wooow . Must admit good vine card and friendly stuff . Service was good. After complaining to the waiter whey took from the bill one course. We are not waiting to be back

We had such an amazing experience here for our anniversary dinner. The welcome was super, we had Champagne in the lounge with plenty of nice, vegan, appetizers and orange and herbal infused water. Then on to our table where we were served a 5 course dinner. Each course more delicious than the previous. My favourites were the Jerusalem artichoke, the celeriac and roasted cauliflower, but everything was simply wonderful. The service was good and discrete. We received an anniversary card, so nice. The vegan dinner was cheaper than the non-vegan, which was quite cool too. We'll definitely be back.

Went here for my mom's birthday. The staff was super friendly, gave my mime several top ups. Food was amazing, just be prepared to get more dished than the numbe rod courses you choose. We ordered the 6 course and had 12 in total haha 😂 Can definitely recommend this place.

We had an enjoyable dinner at Restaurant Vermeer. All of the dishes were well done, but few were particularly memorable. The standouts were the brussel sprout (you only get one delicious charred morsel) and the tourte de gibier, which was rich and gamey.

Vermeer a Dutch classic you must have visited onces. English Chef using a lot of veggies in his menu's. A set menu (choose number of courses). Of course using seasonal ingredients it's a refined kitchen with (luckily) not too much going on on the plate. Enough wine to choose from. High on flavours resulting in a good diner. Good staff adapting to the people on the table. Espressp at the end can use a small upgrade ;-)

I had the chance to visit the restaurant for my birthday's dinner and I was not disappointed. The room was well decorated, with a kind of Nordic feel. The staff was cheerful and professional. As for the meal, everything was tasty and the several associations brought interest to each of the meals. I generally do no like mussels but they just melted in the mouth here. The pigeon was also amazing and the sauce, as well for all other sauces, made a perfect companion. The only plate that was a bit beneath the others was the veggie one, with carrots, salad, green peas, etc. There were a bit too many ingredients to my taste, which lost us a bit in the overall impression of this plate. Also huge huge mention for the wine list. I rarely see one that furnished. We had a bottle of Puligny Montrachet which was just perfect. And also a glass of red wine for the pigeon. The staff also had me prepared a birthday cake, the attention was very nice! Although they lost their star last year, they clearly deserve one to me. We'll be back!

The flavors of dishes were quite avant garde. Jalapeño sobert for appetizer and green curry cream for desert were interesting and quite an experience. The service was elegant, ambience neat. It’s a good one time experience.

Restaurant Vermeer is one of my favorite places to eat. I have visited the restaurant multiple times over the last 5 years. The consistency of quality and attention to detail is what sticks with me the most. The staff is very friendly and professional. When they serve you a course it feels like a well choreographed routine as they will present the dish at the same time for all the dinner guests. The food has been consistently amazing. The flavour combinations and daring dishes - the Belgian andive apple pie for example - are confirming that the chefs know how to cook top-class food. Next to that, the sommelier makes sure you have a great wine paired up with the dish. It has been absolutely amazing and I am looking forward to my next visit.

Have been here twice now and second time was even better than the first. Really cool venue and a friendly enthusiastic sommelier. The scallop add-on was amazing. Will be making this a stop on future Amsterdam trips

We had an absolutely stellar dinner at Vermeer. Every one of the six courses (and everything not mentioned but included) was delicious. The wine list is one of the best in the city. The service is absolutely world class. The team has such genuine joy and passion for what they do and it really shows. Chef Naylor occasionally serves some of the dishes himself, a very nice gesture at this level of cooking. A dinner to remember and we can’t wait to come back!

We stop by to have some snacks and drinks. During Christmas time Amsterdam was packed with tourists, too crowded. We were very happy to find a quite place to sit down after a long walk. The food was very tasty, fresh and good quality. The place was nice and clean. Friendly staffs.

By far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Every single thing tasted great. The service is outstanding and the staff are so cheerful and friendly. This deserves a Michelin star.

I have been to Vermeer several times, the last time I went I think the chef was Chris Naylor. Vermeer lives up to the expectations. The food is nothing less than exquisite. What I also love about Vermeer, which I haven't found yet in another Michelin star restaurant, is the relaxed vibe and setting. They make you feel at home no matter what you look like or how you are dressed. Last time I went to Vermeer we were celebrating a birthday and asked beforehand if they could make a little birthday cake. When it was time for the cake, the chef came out to congratulate us. However, we were so full after the 7 course meal that we asked if they could pack up the cake. The next day, we received an e-mail asking if we enjoyed the night and how the cake was. Little things like this make me love Vermeer even more. I cannot wait to visit again.

Excellent service, the ambience is good, it is located in the city centre, a very good location close to the Amsterdam Central station. Food is average to be honest, especially the Dutch duck, which is the main course, and is a bit pricey.

We stopped in early and had cocktails while we waited for the dinner service to start. When dinner service started we were impressed by the presentation and we loved the wine list. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a fine dining experience.

Food was great. Really innovative and different to what I would normally go for. The taster menu was a fab choice. Service was top quality and the entire team made my partners birthday really special. Would highly recommend.

A very spatious and comfortable restaurant. The staff was very professional and friendly albeit more on the reserved side compared to other Michelin-star restaurants. You don't really get to choose your menu, only between 4,5 or 7 courses which is fine. You do get to have a look at the used ingredients which is something I hadn't experienced before. Their wine list is expansive. The dishes were all very experimental and delicious. My fiancé usually hates brussel sprouts but loved them here. The chefs really do know how to create dishes with different flavour dimensions which makes each and every course special.

Really good experience. Service is casual and perfect. The food was fabulous, directly from their farm. We did some extraordinary culinary discoveries. Thank you for everything!

Prices are great - I went for the 6 course with accompanying half-glass wine tasting menu. I thought the presentation of the first appetizer sorbet was strange (the sorbet was sitting on a frozen ice-pack - reminds me of the cooling elements you get together with shipments that needs to be kept cold). The second appetizer was very good and so was the asparagus dish. Cauliflower oyster dish didn't look particularly appetizing and really didn't taste that great either. Next course was warm beetroot with blackberry - really delicious! Then I got a super-tasty shrimp with ginger. Then came a fish dish with a strong bullion, followed by an excellent kimchi in ginger broth. The main course was an onion dish with onion puree, white onion puree, red onion which I really enjoyed. Then came a pre-dessert consisting of strawberries, strawberry gel and sorbet of olive - amazing! Last but not least: a little visual and oral masterpiece of meringue, rhubarb, sesame and a few other yummies that I can't remember (I wanted to lick my plate but refrained from...), paired with a super dessert wine made from molded (really?) grapes! The meal lasted more than 3 hours - nobody is rushing you out to turn tables. I really enjoyed the laid back pace of it and the tranquil setting of the restaurant. Go here and devote an evening to your senses and experience food to it's fullest - this is an incredible value for money. Thank you for a super experience!

A year ago 2020, we celebrated our first anniversary here with my husband. We loved the whole experience, food was excellent, innovative, everything well timed and balanced. I loved the service and attention to explain us and guide and answer questions about their concept and experience. The wine arrangement was also perfect to elevate the whole night. Thank you to everyone in the team for it.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why.
