Very cosy and beautiful place. We ate our breakfast nearby the water channel, which was amazing. We waited long tome to have a table as we didn’t reserve before but it worth it to wait. I ordered a full English breakfast, but I couldn’t eat iodine in my food, and they were cautious about my dish because of my diet. I will go back to Amsterdam to try their breakfast again, this time without any diet.

It is very good and cozy place. It is very small so it is possible for you to have wait outside even in working days. But don’t worry they seat you very soon and it worth it. The prices are not low like the whole Amsterdam but again the food was very delicious.

Great spot for brunch. Was very busy and we had to wait a while to get sat but definitely worth it. The eggs dish I had was delicious very kind waiter

We went for brunch on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. For the moment you walk in, you can feel the cozy atmosphere provided by the good choice of music, the friendly staff and the incredible smell. Ordered the stack of pancakes and the breakfast burger. Service was fast, everything was delicious - and very well presented. This is my favorite place in the city for earth warming food, can’t recommend it enough. 💚

Greenwoods Keizersgracht is the real deal for breakfast lovers! The food is downright delicious, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The staff is super friendly, creating a laid-back vibe that makes the whole experience even better. Plus, a big shoutout for having gluten-free options – they've got everyone covered. If you're after a tasty breakfast with a chill atmosphere, Greenwoods is the spot to hit! I would advise that the stairs are steep to enter the place so please be careful only downside to the place.

It’s a tiny breakfast’s place in the city center of Amsterdam. It’s open by 9am and we went there 9:30am, no waiting line. We were 4 people and with a baby. All of us satisfied with our meals. Staff were very friendly. I think it’s very popular place because the time we were leaving the restaurant there was a line about 15people! Staff was very nice because they open very big outdoor umbrella for who waiting under the rain.

The food was delicious, and a very generous amount, specially for such a price. It was very well plated too. The waiters took our order in spanish which was very nice of them (we are spanish, of course) and were very attentive. I also loved how almost everything could be ordered gluten free, and it had many vegan options too. I recommend it a lot

By far the best breakfast/brunch we've ever had (we went there two days in a row - Just sad we didn't find it sooner because we would've surely eaten there every day). They serve huge portions (will last you the entire day) and the staff was absolutely lovely despite the place being completely booked. Definitely worth the queue time (on a Sunday ~25 mins), don't miss it.

This was the best breakfast we had in Amsterdam. Our party of four order four dishes and agreed that all were excellent. The freshness and flavor stood out. The restaurant is popular, as it should be, so there was a bit of a wait but well worth it. We hope to visit their location in Scotland next. I highly recommend Greenwoods for breakfast.

Popular in Amsterdam for their proper Full English Breakfast, this place offers a wide range of brunch/lunch meals and drinks. There is usually a wait/queue but it’s really worth it, especially when sunny outside. You can sit by the Keizergracht Canal and enjoy the view. Bookings/Reservations are recommended as this place is really popular. Don’t miss the English Breakfast!

One of my favorite places in Amsterdam for English breakfast/brunch/lunch. Its fresh, the waitresses are friendly and funny. It’s a cozy and little place. The waffle duck and English breakfast are my recommendations (so far I tried)!

After several visits to Amsterdam, I can comfortably say that this was the best breakfast/brunch I’ve had yet; the food was well portioned and well priced, and the aesthetic atmosphere of the restaurant left us feeling romantic and content. Plus the people watching is stellar. Dirce was an absolutely wonderful waitress and took great care of us!

Very cozy, breakfast / brunch / lunch restaurant. It is very possibly the best breakfast in Amsterdam, the line / wait does build a bit, remember to be patient, it does move fast. You'll enjoy the savory & sweet affair!

The staff working there is very welcoming and professional. They offered us a drink just because our dish took longer to arrive than it was supposed to and we didn't even say anything. We really appreciated this gesture. Now for the food... very good looking and even better for the taste. There is no question why this place is so popular and recommended : try it and you'll be one of their regular client for sure !

We ate here during a super busy brunch period and had a wonderful time of it! The service was excellent; the waiters were warm and friendly despite all of the rush. Especially Hammad, he was amazing and very happy to answer questions and help customers to make a choice that suited them. The food was fantastic, with amazing flavours and generous portions. The best place I have eaten at in Amsterdam!

Beautiful spot for breakfast, very busy, we had to put our name down and come back for a table. Worth the wait, we got 2 full English breakfasts, they give you an option of how you want you eggs cooked, and what bread you would like. We had poached with sourdough, and our drink of choice was passion fruit orange fizz I believe. All together this sat us back £44.02 for two people. Only put down was the eggs tasted as if they had vinegar poured on them, other than that it was delicious.

So very well worth the wait! The coffee was world class and the bloody Mary was also excellent. Loved the food and the staff too. Highly recommend.

I read good reviews of this place when doing research for a place to eat breakfast. It was excellent! A nice, cozy atmosphere, and wonderful people serving you. I had the shakshouka with bacon, and it was perfect.

  • 5/5 Sam k. 4 months ago on Google
Well known in Amsterdam centre and for all the good reasons . The Shakshuka, the gluten free bread , amazing Coffee , above all that exceptional French toast (best in Europe) and really friendly kind service . Mind blowing. We had to come second time and took the outdoor seating. Very tiny place but everything is top notch. They made the Shakshuka spicy when we asked them to . The flavours in every dish they served were really spot on . Don’t miss this place if you are in Amsterdam.

Both unexpected and delicious restaurant. We were two, we did not wait too much - this is a little place, 20 people not more and it is better like that. Good food. Full English breakfast killed me in a good way. Good vibes too with a good background music. People of the restaurant are friendly. High five

This place was picked by friends to have Saturday breakfast. There was a long queue and we had to wait for around 25-30 min to get a table on the terrace just along the canal. Apparently, you cannot make reservation. They have varied menu options that you can pick from and the menus are pretty complete. Actually, lot of food and we couldn’t really finish all. The place is along the canal with beautiful views. It has many vegetarian even vegan options. A nice place to hang out.

Visited this place by recommendation from Instagram. The food was just fine with standard price. Personally don’t find it exceptionally worth visiting unless you are after a canal side meal or tea. Nonetheless, the service by the staff was great. Friendly and helpful.

We had english breakfast and New Amsterdam Eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict was very delicious. Full English breakfast was too heavy to eat in the morning. (We tried the English breakfast for the first time and we were not used to it) The waiters were kind. We are happy for that we added this place to our tour in Amsterdam. Final note: The portions were huge, if you're not too hungry, you can eat one of the options on the All Day Menu with two people.

We checked out @greenwoods.amsterdam for breakfast this morning and tried some of their diverse options. We went for the Full English breakfast, which included white pudding - a unique British and Irish dish made from oatmeal, suet, and pork meat. We also had pancakes loaded with blueberries and bacon, and an unconventional Eggs Benedict topped with pastrami, sauerkraut, and pickles. Kudos to the chef, the eggs were cooked to perfection across the dishes. Their outdoor dining setup added a nice touch to the breakfast experience. While the food was good, it didn't quite match up to some of our previous breakfast spots. That being said if I was invited here for breakfast I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Very nice option for a brunch in Amsterdam! I think my group was not lucky because the waiter made a mistake with all 4 of the orders, but it was a busy day and after all, the food was great and yummy. We got a table outside and the staff provided us with blankets for the wind. Fast service and nice meal, but be ready for a big waiting line to be seated.

Beautiful food and service. We came here super hungover from the endeavours of the night before, but nothing cures hangover like a little hearty food and a glass of mimosa 😉 The food is very well done and plated beautifully. A good place to recharge and start the day on a good note.

  • 2/5 Daria B. 1 year ago on Google
Very friendly staff, but the food could be better - bread was uninspiring, kinda toasted but not really, weird combination of the toppings, too salty - although I usually like individual ingredients. Pancakes were fine but also nothing special, overall quite low value for money and seems to be just good for Instagram photos. The bagel shop on the other side of the canal is much much better.

Spent 3 weeks in Amsterdam and went to Greenwoods a couple of times. Sadly, it was only later on my trip so I couldn't return more. The English breakfast was great, perfect to build up some energy from a hangover or just long day of walking. The burger was really good too, better than most in town. If I visit again, I'm definitely getting more of the brunch plates. My girlfriend had the vegan/vegetarian dishes and enjoyed them both. The space itself isn't massive, and it closes fairly early. But make sure to get there before 3:30 PM and you'll be alright. Service is good and friendly as well. Definitely a good stop when downtown.

Cozy place that serves probably the best English breakfast in Amsterdam. It is always busy. Usually requires 15 minutes of waiting on a weekend. The staff is super friendly and the food is great.

Had a Veggie breakfast was oke, the hash browns are amazing though. You get a lot but it's a bit pricey if you consider what ingredients you get on the plate. Service could be better. Even if it's busy a waiter should take time with her costumers and I really misted that here.

The seating area view on the canal was very nice, the food was delicious and the staff are super friendly

Cozy place with very friendly service. We ordered the veggie and regular English breakfast, which were a more modern version on the original. The soda bread was amazing, but we weren’t big fans of the hash browns and mushrooms. All the different ingredients on the plate somehow didn’t really come together. But, the service alone is worth coming back for.

Gorgeous food, service and views! Food was delicious, and having the luxury of eating breakfast in front of the canal made it better. Be prepared to wait a bit in line, since it’s a quite popular breakfast and lunch spot. Service was great!

Out of 5 years visiting Amsterdam I wonder how I missed this beautiful treasure. Without a doubt the tastiest, filling and flavoured breakfast we have ever had here. Don't miss out on a beautiful breakfast by the canal, you will not be disappointed 🍽🥰

Small and cosy cafe! We absolutely enjoyed the food and super pleased with Veronica’s service, from the moment we waited for a table to the end. She is so sweet, friendly and professional. That was what stood out for me! What a gem.

Delicious breakfast, the hash brown are nice and crunchy, the restaurant is downstairs so there isn’t much light coming in but otherwise it was a delightful breakfast

Still at the restaurant and I couldn’t wait to rate it! By far the best breakfast restaurant I’ve eaten at across many countries! Great service and ambience too!! Love it!!!

  • 5/5 Laura M. 1 year ago on Google
I don’t normally wait for restaurants but this was definitely worth it! The space is very cozy and the service excellent. I had the mushroom toast with an extra hash brown and it was delicious. The menu clearly states what can be made gluten free (and it’s a lot) and the staff are knowledgeable with food allergies. I would highly recommend this spot

Brunch here was super tasty! All ingredients are good quality and portions are generous. The service is also quite fast once you are seated. Without a reservation, on the weekend you most likely have to queue for a long time but that’s part of the game. So far I tried, bangers and mash, French toast and English breakfast - all delicious Only negative thing is that they charged me 2.50eur for having asked for extra bread with English breakfast (2 extra slices). A bit too much in my opinion

  • 4/5 Aisha B. 2 years ago on Google
Very friendly atmosphere, with full of customers especially in the morning. We visited there for breakfast and ordered English breakfast menu. Although it was a bit over priced, the menu was great!

We had an amazing breakfast!!! I was brave and tried something new (the smashed peas bread) and I was more than happy with my choice! Very delicious :) When the weather is fine and you are lucky you may get a table outside next to the Gracht. Worth a visit for sure!

Egg hollandaise with Salmon! It’s a must try! The staff are so kind, the service is quick! You can enjoy your brunch with the nicest view!

Been here a couple of times and I can say that the breakfast is amazing. The service is great and I have nothing to complain about. The breakfast portion size is a decent amount, coffee and fresh juices are nice. The only disadvantage I have is that it is a bit pricey.

I am so sad that we only ate breakfast here once. You are gonna wanna try everything on the menu. Everything sounds and looks so delicious. Sadly we did not discover this place until the day before we left the city. We both got the pancake breakfast and everything was top notch. The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices seemed very fair for what you got. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Manca A. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely breakfast spot. I recommend if you love a tasty breakfast made by professionals. Not only the food, also their drinks are nice. The place has a good vibe and was busy every moment we spent there but the service was still fast. Don’t get scared by the wait-the line seemed long but we didn’t wait longer than 20min to enter.
