Fenan Klein Afrika is such a cozy lovely dinner with authentic and delicious dishes. We ordered a mix of both their vegan and meat dishes. It was amazing to have such a variety of flavors to choose from for every bite. It’s a great choice for when you’re indecisive! Each of the dishes tasted different and it was great to combine the flavors or just eat it as is. Next to the main dishes there were also a few side dishes on the plate which also tasted amazing.

Flavourful Ethiopian platter. The portion size was filling. Very tasty meat dishes!

Really good Ethiopian restaurant with super tasty injera. Would have been a 5 stars review if it wasn’t for the embarrassing policy of having only one pitcher of tap water per table (no matter how many people there are). Then they pretty much force you to get bottle water for 6 euros. 😅

Exceptionally good restaurant for an exceptionally tasty experience! A wide selection of stews with all sorts of meat or vegetarian, spicy or mild, all served on top of injera flatbread. All served in a good looking setup by a very nice and helpful waiter, that would explain newbies the how and what of the Ethiopian cuisine. Thrilled about having visited this particular Ethiopian place. Will surely return to it when in Amsterdam!

A fantastic experience! A wide selection of stewed meats, fish, vegetables and pulses served in the traditional way on top of injera. We opted a selection of each, 6 dishes being plenty for 7 hungry diners. The food was spicy without being overly hot, and the injera was light yet substantial. I highly recommend for a close group who enjoy social dining!

It was the first time that we have ever had Ethiopian food and we simply loved it! At the end of night, even though we have eaten a lot, the food hasn’t felt heavy on our stomachs at all

This place was great. As we walked up the road there are a few other Ethiopian restaurants and this place was buzzing with loads of people and tables out in the street. We were lucky and found seats inside and there was a great atmosphere. Lots of talking and laughing. On the menu were as many vegetarian options as there were meat or fish. Really a load to choose from. My friend and I actually had a platter for 1 and it was enough for us both for a light dinner. But other people were clearing the massive trays of food. It was spicy but not overly so you couldn't taste the difference between each dish. Oh - our order was delayed but we kind of didn't notice because there was so much going on in the place. And when they realised they were so nice and apologetic. Would definitely go again.

Cute tiny place that we recurrently saw full in the past couple of months; this week we decided to try. We asked for 2 main dishes (3 vegetarian mix and 3 meat mix) - plentiful for a couple - and it even came with a extra bowl of injera! Everything was great, flavourful and the price was right. The fruit beers were quite a nice change (coconut and mango) without being to sweet. Will come back and have some sunny beers during summer !

Had an amazing dinner here even though the restaurant is quite small. Definitely fitting for a place called Klein Afrika, it gives you a taste of Afrika from the atmosphere to the food. I really enjoyed the Ethiopian dishes and the prices are really reasonable as well. One last thing is the service was splendid and everyone was friendly, five stars!

Such a gem of a place, amazing for a dinner with friends! The food is so delicious and there are a lot of great vegetarian and vegan options. They also have very interesting drink options, like mango or banana beer, and honey wine. I will come back again and again for sure!

Kifto is out of this world. Very authentic and delicious, the portion is big too, and it's excellent to finish it off with a cup of Eritrean Spiced Tea. Very nice dinner and definitely revisit within my stay in Amsterdam.

Great restaurant to try a different cuisine, full of deliciousness and bursting with flavour. You’re expected to eat with your hands and share a huge plate with your friends. Would recommend!

The best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had!! We got the broad beans, stewed chickpeas and lentils. All of them were amazing and service was great!

I had 2 of the dinner platters, one with fish and the other with chicken and 2 types of beef. I must say the food was quite flavourful but not to the extent that every bite was enjoyable. Also, 1 of the beef orders was quite chewy which made it a bit more difficult to eat and the fish was inconsistent with flavouring. Overall the place has a really great atmosphere and nice staff that are helpful. I’m happy I gave it a try and you definitely get your monies worth but now somewhere I’d go back for a 2nd time.

Best Ethiopian I’ve had. Great vibes inside on a Wednesday. Friendly service. Generous quantities. Good prices. Highly recommend!

They are able to make any of the veggie dishes vegan & I have to say this is one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. It was full of flavor and I couldn't even finish it all in one sitting, but I kept wanting more despite being full. I have never had Ethiopian food before, so I can't compare it to other Ethiopian resturaunts but damn I was not disappointed & I'm absolutely going to be a regular customer here. I'm OBSESSED with how good this meal was

I am now absolutely in love with Ethiopian food after eating here!!! The food was unbelievably good, just honest, cozy and comforting. We asked the waitress for suggestions and ordered based on her recommendation: a veg platter (3 types of veg dishes) and also the chickpeas to share between 2 people and it was perfect. I even woke up the next day craving to eat it again! And service was fantastic - so warm and friendly. Can’t wait to visit again.

Very friendly staff, a lovely Ethiopian restaurant with the big plate served in the middle of the table, and the different types of ordered food being together on top of it. I personally find eating with bare hands and sharing the meal with your friend a very enjoyable experience. No alcohol served, so we enjoyed a coconut based drink. Full meal for 2 for a bill of 38€. 👍👍🎉🙌

Really delicious Ethiopian food. Got the big vegetarian platter for two and enjoyed all the dishes included. The spinach was my favorite. Also enjoyed trying some fruity Ethiopian beer. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the ambience/decor was pleasant. We left full and satisfied.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
