Absolutely loved my Sunday lunch. We went on a sunny afternoon and had a table next the window and looking over the water, it was great. The service was so quick and attentive. You order through a QR code and online but pay at the end. The food was really good, the best Chinese I’ve had in Amsterdam so far. Would recommend trying the Lychee martini but check the cocktail bar is open - it only opened at 4pm for us so we had to wait a while. I will definitely go back.

A nice Chinese restaurant which is situated on one of Amsterdam canals. The food is delicious and the atmosphere in the surrounding is really nice. You can have a nice walk afterward and it is near the central station of Amsterdam. And yeah you can reach it whether by boat or from the land.

Best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. The cuisine is very traditional and the flavours are exceptional. The restaurant is located on the water ( really cool to see when standing on the opposite side of the road ) and is easily accessible. Inside you’ll find an absolutely beautiful traditional interior with a “modern “ twist ( there are robots that bring you your food! ). With a table by the window you can enjoy a spectacular view of Amsterdam by the water. You have a very big selection of dishes to chose from and the staff is very helpful in giving you a proper recommendation. I would definitely recommend trying the citrus non alcoholic drink as it is very refreshing in combination with the dishes.

Incredible experience in every aspect. The décor of the place is spectacular and all the dishes have that characteristic Asian flavour. The ingredients were fresh and good quality, and the dishes come in good proportions. 📝 Very attentive staff 💰 Affordable prices considering the location and quality of the dishes

A definitely overrated restaurant. Maximum 1.5 stars. 0.5 star ⭐️: the food itself. The taste is good, but not better than others. Also it’s a bit pricey based on the portion. 1 star ⭐️: the location, the exterior of the restaurant(ship shaped), and decorations inside. However, it is suuuuuuuper slow to serve the food. We have waited more than 1 hour to get all the food. And it was even not a peak hour! Important tips: if you want to get your food to be served sooner, you’d better either know someone working there or speak fluent cantonese. Otherwise, you will need much patience, and it seems that they have enough customers, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t go there second time.

Today for the first time in 15 years, I went to this famous restaurant in Amsterdam. My friends took dim sum, and I had the main dish gluten-free and vegan. The staff is friendly, and the menu offers a clear overview of the dietary needs and allergies. The location is big, and if you are in a group, it is the perfect place. I recommend booking in advance, it can get pretty crowded. If you are visiting the city don't miss it.

Really good food, it may seem a but pricey at first, but the portion size and price ratio is indeed good. I also liked the way one would place the order (you scan the unique QR code on your table and place an order on your phone). The staff was really helpful and nice. Even though there were a lot of people we only had to wait for the food for around 10-15 mins, which is really fast. The food itself was really delicious as well. All in all, really great and interesting experience:)

Cool restaurant close to central station right on the river. We enjoyed the fact that you can order yourself via the mobile app. The duck was great and so were the rice crepes. The service was kind and attentive. Only 4 stars because they don’t offer drinks at bar so we had to wait outside for our table.

The meals are good but the most impressive is the decoration of the place and the view. Also my compliments for being one of the few restaurants that respects the covid sanitary rules in the city 😌

This was my first time to Amsterdam. However, my wife visited way back when she was studying in the UK. She remembers the tour group pointing out that this was the best Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam. She told me at the time she thought it must have been too expensive for her to visit here and it was more a dream to come here. Well, nearly two decades later, we made a dream come true. We booked reservations online through their website. Honestly, it wasn’t that busy when we visited. The service is quite good. They also have robots serving food which is quite neat. As it was our first time, we didn’t know we needed to order with a QR code. Once that was pointed out, we ordered with no issues. The views are pretty nice. As our hotel was literally steps away from the restaurant, it wasn’t something we haven’t seen previously. The food arrived promptly and was very good. When we settled the bill, we were able to pay with American Express. Overall, we will definitely come back the next time we’re in Amsterdam.

We’ve heard so many great things about this restaurant and let me tell you— it didn’t disappoint!!! If you’re in Amsterdam and looking for a nice place to eat and take in the views of the river, this is a great place to go. There are so many good selections for food and ordering is so simple. You can view pictures of each menu item and the food comes out so fast. The staff are so nice and professional. They make sure you are enjoying your food! 10/10 would recommend on your trip to Amsterdam. If you take a boat tour, you can get an awesome view of the restaurant from the water. Our tour guide mentioned that this is an exact replica of a restaurant in Hong Kong 🇭🇰

This restaurant was advertised on one of the canal cruises, and it did not disappoint. The decor inside is gorgeous, with many Asian motifs and statues, and beautiful views of the river. The menu is to be scanned inside, and while there are not that many options, the food that they do make is splendid. The beef with asparagus (very slightly spicy) and the Char Sui were juicy and very well seasoned. The dumplings were very good. I’d recommend getting dessert after the main food is already delivered, to avoid it getting cold. We ordered some cocktails, which did take some time in getting delivered as the waiter forgot about them, but were very strong and tasty. Overall, a very decadent experience, with friendly staff and excellent food. Would definitely return.

All style and no substance, venue is great, but the food is awful considering the extortion price tag, please do not visit here just because the decor looks nice, I assure you, it will be a disappointment. Cocktails were awful, 11 Euro for a hint of whiskey in your drink is a joke.

Just a short walk from Amsterdam central station, is this wonderful well staffed restaurant. Staff was very friendly and attentive during our visit. Food was absolutely delicious and would recommend the house Chardonnay. Price vs quality very good considering its Amsterdam. Seats available looking out onto the canal, would definitely eat here again.

"Sea Place Restaurant in Amsterdam exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warmest smiles and impeccable service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience truly memorable. Not only was the service quick, but the portions were generous and the food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The highlight of our evening was the breathtaking view of the sea from our table. It provided the perfect backdrop for a delightful dining experience. Additionally, we had the pleasure of witnessing the vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations taking place in the restaurant, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit. Overall, Sea Place Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food, exceptional service, and a stunning atmosphere. I can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories at this gem of a restaurant in Amsterdam!"

I first saw this place during the daylight and wasn't so sure but as darkness set in it lit up and looked quite inviting. I'm glad I went in. It has a very warm and comfortable interior. The staff was very friendly and I was seated quickly. The ordering process was quite unique. I had to order using my phone one course at a time to make sure items came out in the order I wanted to eat them. Food is delivered around the restaurant by robot, but dishes are placed on the table by the human staff. The food was quite tasty and well prepared. I definitely enjoyed the visit.

Can’t say enough how great was the food with traditional Chinese vibe and amazing staff. It is a combination of all good. If you are in Amsterdam I recommend this place. We went with “set of 2 people” menu and ordered drinks selected, We had to stay almost 3 hours there to finish. It was too much food, maybe enough for 3 people. Paid €140 , definitely will try again but maybe with smaller dishes.

A 3-story floating pagoda-style restaurant serving Cantonese, Sichuan & Beijing dishes. The Homemade Dim Sum and Classic Peking Duck are well worth the trip here. The characteristic Chinese architecture,a familiar sight in Amsterdam center for decades, also shows up in the eclectic atmosphere of the interior. Choose this restaurant for the food, but enjoy the decor and view of Amsterdam from the floating restaurant. We were entertained by the "food robots", delivering food from the kitchen so the servers never have to leave the floor. It's pretty impressive!

Surprised by the negative reviews. I have been here multiple times with friends, family and colleagues, and have always had a great experience. The food is very tasty (and cooked fresh to order), service is friendly and the atmosphere/ decor is fantastic. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters too. Recommend trying it for yourself - there’s a reason it’s often booked out!

Interesting place. Great decor and service. Shared dining experience feels like an authentic family meal! Views are lovely from mist seating positions in the restaurant. Only thing lacking is the flavor of the food. We found most dishes are cooked extremely well and are presented very nicely, but lack the "wow" factor that would make us tell everyone about it.

Very nice restaurant with tasty and quality Chinese food. We went there in a big group of more than 10 people and it was a perfect fit on the round table. Service was quick and good, and I found the setup of central turning table with different dishes very convenient for a group with different dietary restrictions (vegetarian, no pork, no fish, only chicken, etc). Overall, fun experience!

The view is great, and the food looks good, but the service and taste disappointed. There are better chines places in walking distance from here - head towards the red light district for a better Chinese food experience. 👌

I love the Asian food. Specially it's served by the native people. The sea palace is a beautifully designed well located great Chinese restaurant in amsterdam. If u have to rate this place here is how I rate them: Food: 7/10 Location and design: 8/10 Price: 6:10 Service and hospitality: 4:10. Sorry but As a Chinese, you really have not reached the acceptable level or service quality. And also you guys seemed too busy with the work that you didn't even have time to welcome your customer. A single lady is welcoming, checking in and also taking responsibility serve at the same time.. Custer had to wait for 15min in average to just get inside. That's horrible. Many of western world might find it normal. But for Asian culture, it's not. If you improve this thing, I bet you'll be on of th best in amsterdam. Cheers 👍

Food was excellent. But! Do note that plates are meant to be shared family style. For example, if you order seabass, it's not a piece of seabass. It's the entire fish! And dame with the duck. Therefore if in a large group, I'd recommend choosing different food items to share.

An amazing building floating on the canals of Amsterdam. The food was faultless and we thoroughly enjoyed it, definitely ordered too much for 2 but we wanted to try lots of things. We had the chicken fried rice (the best Chinese rice I’ve had), ribs, duck and crispy beef.

A lovely dining experience with a fun and attentive waitress. We ordered several different courses, along with a few bottles of bubbly. The entire evening was delightful with good quality food. Prices are higher than average, but that is to be expected in an establishment that holds bottles of champagne upwards of €2000. We will definitely be returning soon.

Second time here as it is an amazing place. I have never tasted a better duck. Service is really fast- we received our food within 5 minutes. Do reserve your place in advance as it is a very popular place and one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the European continent.

Really good food! The fact that this a floating restaurant was what brought us here, and we were surprised by the flavorful food, especially the dim sum dumplings, they were amazing! If you're able to get a table by the window, the river view is great!

This place has a great view and a great interior decoration. The food is quite average and not the best chinese in town. I booked a table and I had to also be in line for 30 minutes.

Great views from the restaurant. Heavy Chinese decoration. Definitely a destination restaurant. Flavours were chinese but there are better options in Amsterdam for the taste.

Love this restaurant. Some people feel it is pricy when you look at the menu but remember most plates ate for sharing!! Beautiful interior design. Friendly staff. Love going with groups, or with the kids here. They even have a robot delivering food. Very cool!!

What a restaurant! Food is absolutely 10/10! Atmosphere amazing, very friendly staff! My only complaint is everything is done online, have a menu available!

This place clearly knows how to serve their customers. The food and service were ahead of my expectations. We truly enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. Superb spot to take my family out for lunch. Best Chinese food I've had in Amsterdam

Replica of Chinese restaurant. Very friendly staff. The menu was cut down a bit so follow the current one or talk to the waiter. Very satisfied. Expect at least 15 minutes to get in and vaccination has required.

We been visiting Sea Palace all the years we lived in Amsterdam especially for a weekend dim sum lunch. Saturday the restaurant was full with quests and is showed on the service. We normally enjoy the service at Sea Palace but this time it was not so attentive. But it is a good sign of how popular Sea Palace is. The food was as usual best dim sum in Amsterdam. My personal favorite "Fan Kuo" was back so even better. Tried a dessert "Green Tea Tiramisu" but as with all Chinese restaurants the dessert is served first. Never quite understand why.

Really happy about this place. I’ve got a sesame allergy and most of the dishes there are cooked with sesame. They’ve did their best and have made a special dish for me following all specific requests. Highly appreciated.

This is the best and well decorated Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam. I ordered Beijing duck and mix vegetables with bean curds to take away since it is Saturday and the restaurant had fully booked by noon. Make sure you booked ahead online if you planning to dine in. Beijing duck comes with pancakes, sliced cucumbers, sliced scallions and hoisin sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The mix vegetables with bean curds was very delicious with smoky flavor. The hostess was super friendly and it took 15 minutes of waiting time only. Will definitely come back to sea palace restaurant again👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

Great food! Their pineapple ginger cocktail is sooo good. Went for our anniversary and it was quite a long drive but totally worth it with the food and goodies that were there. Highly recommend making a reservation if you want a seat tho because it gets really packed.

The Signature menu is a good choice to try a bit of everything. From this menu the prawns and the Kung Po chicken were very good. The restaurant is very close to the central station, it is almost on the water and has a lovely view. There are also cute restaurant robots. It took a bit long to get the dessert and the prices are a bit high - but other than that it was a nice experience.

  • 5/5 Tisa S. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience in a beautifully decorated restaurant. The dishes were of great quality, especially the beef that we got which was amazing. The service was also pleasantly surprising considering how full the place was - our waiter was very attentive. The view is of course a plus!
